Ginny

Sickness rolled over me like storm clouds as James bound around the room. This was the third day in a row that I felt violently ill and I was just about sick of it.

"Mummy, hung'y!" Was he always so loud? With a deep breath and a groan I rolled onto my side, squeezing my eyes shut against the urge to vomit.

Hermione,

I think I caught something. I'll give you my spleen if you watch James today.

Ginny

I pressed a kiss to the page praying she could take the day off before sending the message off.

"Mummy okay?" I cracked open an eye, squinting at my boy as he stared up at me. Worry was carved into emerald eyes and I smiled.

"Mummy's okay. Let's take a nap." He crawled into my arms curling into me like a kitten.

Hermione apparated in with a crack and I jolted awake. Bad idea. My stomach lurched towards the waste basket on the floor and I scrambled after it.

Gentle hands collected sweaty strands of hair. A charmed coolness clung to the air around me as I gripped the bin with trembling fists.

Magic tickled my form as Hermione cast her wandless diagnostic spells.

And then she giggled.

I clambered off the floor, vanishing the contents of the bin with a flick of my wand. My mouth tasted like sick, my throat was raw, and Hermione was giggling.

"And what's so funny," I asked as I made my way to the bathroom. There wasn't enough toothpaste in the world to rid me of the taste of last night's Chinese food.

"You can say whatever you want about muggle contraceptives, but at least they don't require wand work when you're pissed."

My heart seemed to freeze in my chest at her playful words, "and what's your fancy arm band got to do with anything?" I watched her wave her hand -always a show off- and almost choked on my toothpaste.

Pregnant -6 weeks

Rose clung to her mother's leg staring curiously up at me.

"This is impossible," I breathed. My knees felt like they'd give out and Hermione wrapped me in her kind embrace, lowering me to the ground as hot tears spilled over my cheeks.

Little hands batted helplessly at my cheeks, climbing on top of me in a quest to be the most comforting.

"We'll talk to Blaise and-,"

"Uncle Blaise? My Blaise?" An unfamiliar child was squeaking from the doorway, round grey eyes staring excitedly.

"How many kids are with you?" I wiped at my tears, hugging my son and niece as tight as I dared.

"That," Hermione's arms shifted as she sighed, "is a long story, but he's Scorpius Malfoy."

He looked different than I imagined. Pale blonde hair was honey blond at the roots and his pointed features were rounded out with a button for a nose.

"He looks different than I imagined." Malfoy's wife had been just as sharp and blonde as he was and yet...

"Again," Hermione climbed off the floor, laying an affectionate hand on the child's head, "it's a long story." My fingers splayed along my abdomen as I brought my attention back to my own problems.

The custody battle with the famous Harry Potter had been brutal. Despite the mutual split things had gotten nasty somewhere along the way and his lawyers had been vicious. If not for Harry's dirty little secret and an archaic belief system there was no doubt that James and Albus would have been lost to me forever.

Blaise was one of the richest wizards in Britain. There was nothing my good name and meager salary could do to fight if he chose to get nasty.

To have a child only to have it ripped away would hurt more than ending it here.

My other option was easier to stomach. It could stay my little secret. Hermione and I got through her pregnancy with Rose. We could do it again. But how could I stomach the disappointed look in her eyes when she had no father?

Again, tears spilled down my cheeks as I drew my knees closer to my chest, "Hermione. I can't. I-," concern filled her eyes, "let's go to the clinic."

She twisted her lips at me, dissecting me with intelligent eyes, "if that's what you want I'll set an appointment tomorrow morning."

She left me to my tears, giving me a chance to pull myself together. I could hear here bustling about the kitchen, chatting quietly with the blonde that followed her as if he were on a lead.

A.N./ I changed this chapter completely because the other chapter was utter fluff. Also. Two days ago I pretended that I was gonna rewrite four chapters in a night?

I'm funny.
