Hello everyone, I hope the holidays are treating you all well. My co-writers and I am working on different ideas and hope to bring them to you all soon. But for now a hint of a new idea I have been talking with two fellow writers and we are liking how it is turning out.

Now, this is a new Owl House idea that isn't a crossover like the last one but I assure you this is still going to be fun. Luz will be going to Boiling Isles but not the Luz that everyone is expecting. What do I mean? She is a bit different in both body and mind. But see for yourself

A Matter of Perspective

Luz Noceda wasn't having a very good day and she felt like things were getting worst. After another incident she caused in school she was forced to have her mother pick her up. Honestly, Luz felt that she was lucky she lasted this long and actually finished the school year. She wasn't even expelled this time…yet at least. But it wasn't what happened in school that was getting her down, nor how much trouble she was gotten into. No, it was what her mother had planned for her that was really getting to her.

After the last incident, Camila Noceda felt that her daughter needed help to socialize among the students better to prevent more incidents, help her gain some friends, and most importantly for her health. So Camila informed her daughter after they got home that she was having Luz join a summer camp that should teach her all the skills she needed.

So here Luz was, standing in front of her house waiting for the bus for the camp while her mother was saying goodbye before she would be leaving for work. Seeing the look on her daughter's face, Camila pulled the girl into a hug. "Oh, Mija I know you aren't happy about going to camp, but I think it will really help you out. They can teach you the techniques and methods you haven't learn before. Plus, they will help you socialize to not only help you feed properly on your own but also gaining friends. Something I know you have a hard time doing."

Luz pouts at this. "It's not like I don't try and make friends. It's just…hard."

Camila smiled sadly before she pulled her daughter into a hug. "I know Mija, and I know you try your best. You put all your energy into something that you have your mind on and there is nothing wrong with that. But there is also nothing wrong with trying to slow down, nor learn to accept help for issues and areas you need help in."

Luz made a small cute noise that showed her disagreement on this. "It's isn't that bad. I could have handled it."

Camila raised a brow before she gave an example of just today. "Your book report issue?"

Luz pulled herself out of the hug and answered. "I was going for an exciting presentation for my favorite book series. The teacher allows us to bring in props for presentation as long as it was for the book report itself."

"And the incident with the stuff Griffen?" Camila asked as she had plenty of examples to give.

"I honestly should have gotten more credit for authenticity."

"And when you try to befriend the basketball player?"

Luz winced, "okay I will admit I got mix signals there."

Camila nodded, seeing she was starting to get through to her daughter. "And then there is the cheerleader tryouts as well as the incident with a couple of them afterward."

Luz looked embarrassed and twirled her thumbs together "so I tried to impress them the wrong way. And I might have been wrong with those two girls. To be fair I thought they were together already."

Camila then went for the one point she knew would have even Luz admit defeat. "And all the sexual harassment?"

"…. I'm not apologizing" Luz finally said after not being able to come up with a counter for that.

Camila smiled softly, knowing she won but still knew how Luz was feeling. "I know you might have some issues with this camp but I think if you put the same amount of effort into it then you can learn to not only have fun but also become stronger than before. Now I got to leave for work but before that…"

Camila rolled up her sleeve before holding out the arm for Luz. Luz blinked before she frowned "mooooom."

Camila gave her a serious look, "The camp will take care of most of your feedings, but we aren't taking any chances something will happen during the long ride. Now eat up."

Luz sighed but did as she was told. She leaned forward and bite down on her mother's exposed arm. She gave a cute pout according to her mother as she sucked away, Camila simply smiled at her daughter and waited. After a few moments, she reached out and poked Luz on her forehead, causing the girl to detach from her arm and let out a deep breath. "Better?"

Luz didn't answer and just pouted while crossing her arms. Camila didn't seem bothered as she kissed Luz on the temple. "The bus should be here too. Text me when you get there."

"I promise," Luz finally said as she knew she didn't have a way out.

Her mother gave a final wave as she got in her car for her shift at the clinic. Luz sadly watched her go before shifting her gaze towards the trash bin not far from her. She remembered her mother threw away her 'back up plan' for her book report which was a large rocket with smaller ones tied to it. She figured it was better to take it with her rather than leave it to suddenly go off. But before she could even make a plan of what to do with it, she froze. A tiny owl that could fit in the palm of her hands was on top of the bin with a bag in its beak that was bigger than her. What scared her the most was her back up plan was sticking out of the bag. "Easy little guy," Luz said as she didn't want him to get hurt.

But the owl jumped from the bin and took off, dragging the bag that seems to be impossible. "Get back here!"

Luz ran after the owl, the tiny bird outpacing her despite the heavy bag and was leading her deeper into the woods behind her house. Luz barely paid attention to how deep they were going until she saw the owl was heading into an old, broken-down house that was no doubt abandoned. The tiny owl disappeared through the door and into the dark interior of the house. Luz paused, wondering what this house was before she remembered that the owl went inside. She wasn't going to let a dangerous item cause harm to a cute little creature and most likely cause the house and woods to catch fire. She gathered up her nerves and ran through the empty doorway, barely making it a few feet inside before she saw a second doorway with a glowing light blocking the view of the other side. She covered her eyes from the flash before she stopped as she noticed she wasn't inside the house anymore. She was in a snobby tent with junk all around her. She saw the opening of the tent before her and peeked outside. She saw the owl and the bag be placed near a woman whose back was turned to her before the owl flew up and landed on top of a wooden staff. "About time you got back," the woman said before she placed her hand on the owl and started to twist it around when it got more solid and became the top of a stop Luz always pictures a witch or mage might use. She barely kept a gasp from escaping as the woman started to sort through the bag the tiny owl brought her. "Junk," the woman said as she tossed a smartphone to the side. The woman also repeated this process with a large diamond ring, a glowing chalice that made Luz think of the Holy Grail. After they tossed that away the woman seems to cheer and pulled something out of the bag. "This!" The woman turned and Luz saw she was now wearing some novelty glass with the fake eyes falling on springs. "This will make me rich," the woman stated confidentially.

Luz wasn't sure if the woman was clearly thinking before she noticed the woman pulled out her backup plan. "And what in titan is this?" She looked it over confused, not seeing Luz pout at how she dismissed her work. The woman then shrugged, "it could make a decent exotic candle."

The woman turned the backup upside down and used another lit candle on the table to lite the fuse. Luz gasped and sprung into action before the woman got hurt or worst. She jumped from her hiding spot and grabbed the rocket from the woman's hands. "SorryIcan'tgiveitback!Thankyou!" She quickly said as she ran as fast as she could towards the still open door that Luz famed through.

But before she could reach I the door closed, showing a gothic-like design with a large eye on the front, before it folded up into a suitcase. Luz slid to a stop and turned to see the woman with the glasses off now glaring at her with a key visible in her hand with the head the same eye as the door/suitcase. It didn't take Luz long to realize that she was trapped by the woman.

Luz surprised the woman by ran back at her, sliding between her legs and out of the tent. Luz barely noticed she was in a marketplace that looked to be in a fantasy world with the different creatures looking and selling strange items. She jumped over the table to try and lose the woman but jerked back as she felt her hoody was being pulled. She glanced behind her to see the woman held her staff with the owl eyes glowing and she was being pulled towards her. Once in reach, the woman grabbed the back of her hoody and lifted her up, and glared at Luz. "You aren't going anywhere."

"Now before you try and eat me," Luz said to try and stall in order to escape. "While I might be the tastiest thing you can eat, I'm sure we can work something out even if you are well outside my normal range to try and work with. But I'm always up for new things."

The woman raised a brow, not having a clue at what the girl was talking about. "Eat you?" She finally said as she understood that part. "Why would I eat…a potential customer."

And with that, the woman dropped Luz and unveiled a sign of the stand she was running of "Human Treasures" with two bookcases filled with random junk no doubt from Earth. Luz could only give a confused look on her face and let out a cute "¿Qué?"

The woman didn't seem to notice or care as she became a full-time saleswoman. "How would you like a human foot filled with holes?" She asked as she held a blue croc shoe. Before Luz could correct her she put the croc away and showed a stick of deodorant and twist the tab. "How about a green stick of human candy?"

Again before Luz could correct her the woman throws it away and holds up a small portable television and held it before Luz's face so it reflected it off the surface. "How about a shadow box that reflects only sadness?"

This time Luz was able to get a word in. "Actually it can do more than that." She took the television and places it on the table before stepping around the back and pulled two batteries from a bowl labeled, 'Candy' and places them inside. After straightening the television she turned it on, revealing the last known image it was showing before it was thrown away which was an exercise video.

The sudden music got the attention of the different visitors of the market as they gathered to see the color image and music. "Huh?" one asked as he turned towards the stand.

"What's that?" asked another before more monsters started to gather.

"The sound- it's so alluring," another monster said as he studied the screen and the image it showed.

"I'll pay forty snails for the screaming box!" One of them said as they held up the currency

"I'll give you a hundred!" Another bidder added flashing his own money.

"Can I eat the tiny person inside?" One large demon looking man said over the crowd.

The woman was stunned by the crowd forming before her stand before beamed and started to take money even if Luz noticed the woman had yet to actually make a sale. "Not bad kid, for a human. You got a name?"

Luz decided that it was best not to correct her but gave her name, "I'm Luz Noceda. And you are?"

The woman gave a laugh. "Who am I?" She asked dramatically before she leaped onto the table and pulled her bandana off, revealing a large mass of gray wild hair. "I'm Eda the Owl Lady! Most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles. I am respected, feared-"

"Busted!" A hand slams down on top of the T.V., shattering it to pieces. All of the monsters in the vicinity start scrambling away. Luz ducks down beside the table and studied the new figure. It was a short being with his whole body covered in a leather uniform and a metal helmet head with the front face sticking out in a cone that gave the impression of a metal beak. The guard was glaring at Eda and pointing to her.

"Eda the Owl Lady!" The guard stated as he unrolled a sheet of parchment revealing a stylish artwork of Eda and a small creature. The biggest noticeable things about it were the bold words stating 'Wanted!' and a large reward at the bottom. "you are wanted for misuse of magic and demonic misdemeanors."

Luz looked to Eda who was unamused by the whole thing. "Whoa! Witch criminal," she said softly.

The guard grabs Eda's arm aggressively as he continues speaking. "You are hereby ordered to come with me to the Conformatorium."

"Would you guys quit following me around? I haven't done squat," Eda says after she shakes the guard's hand off of her and crosses her arms over her chest.

Seeing as they were distracted, Luz took this moment to try and sneak away. However, she barely took a few steps before the guard reaches out and pulled by the arm.

"And you're coming too…" he says threateningly, as Luz gives a yell dangling in his grasp. "...for fraternizing with a criminal."

Luckily Luz was taught by her mother the best way to get away from someone attempting to take her somewhere against her will, no matter the gender. She pulled back her leg and delivered a powerful kick right between the guard's legs. The guard's eyes nearly popped out of the mask as he dropped to his knees and held his wounded pride. "No…*gasp*…fair."

Eda took this moment to magic all of her items into a bag that followed her. "Come on kid," she said as she ran with Luz running behind her. "You don't want to stick around when he gets back up."

Luz wasn't planning on staying near the creep trying to arrest her for no reason even if he was down for the count. As they ran she took in the more crazy and strange surroundings of the town. "This is crazy. If I die here, my mom's gonna kill me!"

"Ha! I won't let 'em hurt you," Eda responds confidently. She turns her head to face Luz before finishing her thought. "A human like you is much more valuable to me alive than dead."

Luz held up a finger to correct Eda on a certain matter, but the witch already held her staff which floated off the ground with the tiny wooden owl wings extending and growing in size. Eda sat on the floating staff before she pulled Luz on as well. Luz had the staff between her legs and held the staff to keep herself steady as the staff flew high into the air. Luz manages to calm down from the sudden rush before she looked around and gasped in awe. The island she seems to have traveled to seem to be on top of the remains of a colossal creature with its skeleton visible from decay. The landmass mixed so well as she also saw different towns, cities, and wildness as far as she could see. "Where am I?"

Eda chuckled, "this is the Boiling Isles. Every myth you humans have is caused by a little of our world leaking into yours."

Luz was in awe before she heard a screeching sound. She turned to see a griffin fly up beside them with a screech. Luz gasps, "A griffin!" She had never seen a living one before and the griffin lets out another screech, blowing out hundreds of spiders from its mouth. Luz excitedly points at it with a, "And it has the spider breath and everything!"

"Yep. Griffins, vampires, giraffes-" Eda starts counting them off on her fingers before Luz interrupts her.

"Giraffes?" Luz asked surprised before she gained a look of triumph, "I knew it!"

Eda gave another laugh. "Oh, yeah. We banished those guys. Bunch of freaks."

A short ride later Eda flew to the ground, landed her staff, and hops off. Luz remains sitting before she notices that Eda's hand had come off and was still attached to the staff. She jumps off as she exclaims in fright. Eda turned around and noticed what she left behind. "Oops. That happens sometimes," Eda responds nonchalantly, as she takes the hand and screws it back onto her arm.

Luz looked a mix of terrified and amazed before she got off the staff. "So while our little meeting was less than expected and might have gotten off on the wrong foot. But I kinda need to get back home soon.

Eda swings her staff down in front of Luz, before answering her question with a smile. "Only if you help me first." She starts chuckling at Luz's reaction, before grabbing her stuff and turning to walk away. "Ah, now, come along, human."

Luz again debating about correcting Eda but decided against it before seeing where Eda was walking to.

The building had a cottage looking frame for the front, but there was a tower coming off of one side, the type you would find on a castle. There was a window in the middle of the second story of the house that was circular and had a yellow and red-eye design. The house was made of white brick, with a blue roof, and had a lot of wood accenting the house. There was also a small shed that seemed to be built into the side of it. On the front door, there seems to be a carving of sorts of an owl head, that has beady eyes and staring at them.

Luz rushes to catch up to Eda, and they walk towards the front door together. "Aren't you worried about those guards finding us?"

"Nope. My house has a state-of-the-art defense system." Eda states matter-of-factly, smiling at Luz.

The owl head in the door starts speaking, in a high-pitched voice. "Hoot-hoot! Password, please!" He barely gets the words out before Eda pokes him in the eyes, and he yells out in pain.

"We got no time for this, Hooty. Let us in," she says in exasperation.

The owl gets an offended look on his face before replying, "All right, all right! Geez! You never want to have any fun! Ow! Hoot!"

The newly dubbed Hooty swung open the door and lets them in. Luz was amazed at the fact the door/house might be actually alive. She quickly followed Eda inside before the door closed behind her.

"Welcome to…" Eda snaps her fingers, and little flames appear on all the candles, and magic floods the room. "The Owl House…" Luz gasps at the display and starts looking around the room in amazement. "... where I hide away from the pressures of modern life. Also the cops. Mm, also ex-boyfriends," she chuckles.

Luz sets her book down on the coffee table as she turns to Eda. "This place is beautiful! Do you live here all alone?" Just as she says this, the room shakes, and little bits of ceiling fall to the ground.

There are thudding footsteps as Eda answers, an annoyed look on her face. "…Actually, I have a roommate."

A shadow comes from the hallway in front of Luz, and a deep voice pierces the silence. "Who dares intrude upon I," as the shadow gets closer, the pitch of the voice goes up, until its a near squeak, "The King of Demons!?"

The supposed 'King of Demons' turns out to be a small creature no bigger than a terrier dog. He is all black, except for his head, which is made of bone, it seems. He's got two fangs, bigger than the rest of his teeth, at the front of his mouth, with yellow and purple eyes. He is wrapped in a blue towel that has yellow ducks and pink hearts on it, with a matching one wrapped around his head. He is holding a little toy duck in the air, which he squeaks, trying to appear menacing. It does nothing but appears adorable.

Luz's eyes grow wide as she gasps and rushes the creature, picking him up and causing the towel and duckie to fall out of his grasp. "¡Ay, qué lindo! Eda, he's so cute! Who's a widdle guy? Who's a widdle guy? Is it you? Is it you?" She has big puppy dog eyes as she asks him these questions, using a baby voice and cuddling him while he tries to squirm away.

"No! I don't know who your little guy is!" the creature struggled to escape her grasp but all it did was make her hug harder. "Eda, who is this monster!?"

"Relax King," Eda says as she picks up Luz, which causes her to drop King. Luz starts pawing at the air where King was, with a look on her face. It looks very much like Eda is holding a puppy in the air that is trying to get at something it wants. "This is Luz, the human. She's here to help with us with our little… situation." She says as she puts Luz back down, who now stands, looking a lot more subdued.

King quickly forgets Luz's treatment as he hears those words, as he perks up quite a bit. "Oh! Hooray!" he cheers adorably.

"Wait, wait, wait," Luz says, with her hands up. "I don't like the sound of this 'situation'." She does the air-quotes, then puts her hands behind her back, looking at Eda with worry on her face.

Eda puts her hands up placatingly and walks away to put some space between them all as she does a spell circle in the air with both her hands. "Just… let me explain." An image appears from the spell circle, which shows a picture of 'King' with a crown on his head before it is taken by a big green hand. "King was once a mighty king of demons until his crown of power was stolen, and he became… this." She gestures to King, who somehow became trapped in Luz's grasp again.

"You mean this little bundle of joy?"

It cuts back to the spell circle, where the crown is being held in the air by a creature that is discovered to be Warden Wrath. It shifts down, where a square of white light is pouring out of a stone wall, and a human warrior with a red cape is standing before it. "The crown is being held by the evil Warden Wrath and locked away behind a magical force field that only a human can break through - a human like you." Luz is shown basked in the light from the spell, still clutching King to her. Eda lets the spell fade away before continuing. "If you help us retrieve his crown, we'll send you back to your realm. So whaddya say? Plus, who could say no to this cute face?" she asks, grabbing King by his head and wiggling him around in the air.

"No! Please don't encourage her!" he shouts as he wails around. As Eda drops him he lets out a yell.

"I mean, we're kinda your only way home."

Luz wince here. "Yeah, I have no problem helping you. There is just one tiny flaw with your plan."

Eda dropped her smile and replaced it with a scowl, "and that would be?" she asked wondering if Luz was going to try and back out of their deal/blackmail.

"Well…" Luz started to say, slightly embarrassed as she rubbed the back of her head. And then she transformed, a pair of tiny bat-like wings appeared on top of her head with little spikes on the thumbs while on her lower back two larger wings appear while Luz herself floated a few inches off the ground. Both Eda and King were gapping at the sight as Luz finally explained, "I'm not human."

"…The hell?" Eda asked, completely stunned by this.

King however gasped in both shock and wonder, "can it be? But that's impossible!"

King jumped down and quickly climbed up Luz while both girls watched him. King stopped on Luz's head and tested the wings on her head, "real smaller wings on her head," he climbed lower and examined her ears, "round ears like a human." He slid down till he was at the base of her wings, "larger wings on the lower back and flying with no flapping of them." King slipped and fell to the floor but Luz's right wing shifted into the form of a hand and caught King before he hit the ground. King wasn't bothered by this as he checked the wing in awe. "And the wings have shapeshifting abilities for offense, defense, and more."

Luz just smiled at King's excitement as she held him in front of him as the tiny demon turned to Eda while pointing to Luz. "Eda! Do you know what she is!?"

Eda gave him a deadpan look, "no but I'm sure you're going to tell me anyway."

King turned back to Luz and bounced up and down on Luz's wing. "She's a demon of legends, one that thought to be extinct. She's…a succubus."

Yes! Luz isn't human here as she is a demon all along. I hope the reveal was good as I left hints from the start but didn't have to make it too obvious. But Luz has her own abilities and powers so she isn't the defenseless human-like cannon with her own special bland of magic. The storylines are being planned out and many things will be different.

Now I am no stranger to having stories with the characters of succubi or incubi and while Luz is clearly based on the Darkstalker in the style of looks, she isn't exactly the same. Luz's species has their own quirks and abilities including how a succubus feeds. You saw one example but there are more and more about Luz will be revealed as the story goes on. But I will assure you that while Luz is a demon she is still the Luz we all love with some power behind her and a few extra quirks and antics. While she is more open to sexual innuendoes and a deeper feeling for shipping and romance, she isn't going to act slutty towards all or even some characters. She will tease some but Luz will still have a limit.

But what do you think? Do you want to see more of this or am I too insane to pull this off? Don't be afraid to let me know what you all think.
