AN
Hello all, I don't have a much to say about not updating except I had a lot going on and my computer was starting to die so I needed to replace it but couldn't due to my job. But recently I finally heard back and got the Job promotion at work I've been wanting. I originally applied in October and just go offered the job in the middle of March. I know have a House that I'm renting and potentially buying, I've purchased a brand new PC and uploaded and moved all my documents. Peace and quiet for me is helping me start writing again. Which is all this update really is. Just a small update to let you know I'm alive, still kicking, and still updating and working on all my stories. Yes, even Bid of a Lifetime. I've decided it's time to finish that story. Update on my book is that I've finished the final edits, created a index for all of the words that are peculiar to my world and the language in it. As well as everything else it'll need. Meaning it's now going to the printer for me to get my demo version of the printed book. So it will soon be available online for a physical copy, or an E-book whichever you prefer. I'm also a few chapters into the next book in the series, and working on 3 other original book series to hopefully work on printing/publishing with my publisher once this first book hits the shelves. I'll be putting up a chapter on every story the day of release for my book with where you can find the book, (I.E. Amazon/Barnes&Noble under the name Alphalyon Book One: Fosgdl) Etc. for the other websites and whatnot. But, yes, things are going well and I'll be updating much more now that I'm back in my own place with just me and my dog. Thank you all for your reviews and well wishes and checking in. It really helped to keep me motivated for getting updated.

Chapter 8
"Her Percy. Yeah she's sleeping, it's definitely them. The members have the ring and all. Some of the more fanatical ones have it tattooed on them. The most stereotypical group of bad buys I've ever seen."
"Yeah. That sounds about right. I thought we'd wiped all these guys off the face of the planet. We'll need to be careful. Nico is still having trouble with Reyna. Though she's remembered some things he thinks, she just hasn't said so. He'd trying to get her to run with him for her protection. It'll probably not happen till their first attack on them. Then she'll probably be on her way. So, Piper is enjoying this thrilling adventure then?"
"Yeah. She is. It's rather surprising, but much more like she used to be on the ship. It's a breath of fresh air honestly. Though she hasn't remembered yet, I think it's coming back in little snippets. She'll freeze up every now and again for a moment, her eyes looking at me but not seeing me. She'll remember soon enough I hope. But until then I'm having a fun time. She's declared us dating as all the "on the run couples" in movies do. So, there is that progress made."
"Ha ha. Good. Good. Yeah Kaia is jumping with joy at the prospect of traveling. She's really excited to meet her uncles in person. She hasn't really met Nico. He just comes in and leaves, usually when she's asleep. She thinks this is all some game Annabeth and I are playing. But Annabeth has—" Percy' words were halted as a terrifyingly powerful presence suddenly appeared in their room, his body freezing as the phone dropped from his hand mid turn to get to the bed where Annabeth was attempting to get her arms wrapped protectively around a terrified Kaia.
The man that stepped into view was definitely a god. And judging by his strength Percy would say he was one of the oldest he'd ever run into. Even older than Thalassa and Hydros. Eyes solid gold, no pupil, nothing but gold across them, much like Kronos' eyes. But this was not Kronos. Hair blonde and long, slicked back into a ponytail, dressed in a white suit with a golden tie and handkerchief. Expensive golden watch and rings adorning his wrist and fingers as he looked at Percy, a smirk upon his lips.
"Hello Percy. Annabeth. It is wonderful to finally meet you. Those that stopped my wonderful counterpart Kronos from his domination. As well as putting mine and my compatriot's plans on hold for several centuries. But now… now we are ready. And it seems you are not quite. Well, I've shown up too soon. It seems I shall have to meet you for battle later, you are not ready. But before I leave let me leave you with a parting gift." His eyes glinted maliciously as he strode towards the bed, Percy's body still frozen and not moving.
He knew he wasn't frozen by normal means. He was frozen in time. Just barely conscious of what was occurring outside of his little bubble of time, no doubt due to this beings machinations. "Today. I will show you what true power is, an how it feels to have something you love torn from you." His voice rose as he pulled Kaia from the bed herself still frozen as he lifted the girl, pulling a gun from the very air as he aimed first at Percy.
"My name I Chronos. I am the primordial God of time. The very personification of the Past, Present, and Future. Unlike the sham Kronos Titan of time as it is dictated by mortals. I am the true highest power for time, as I'm sure you're feeling even now. Prepare for war boy. You've known peace far too long, and so has this world. It's time to return to our roots. To the worlds roots. But first… you must be reminded what true power is, and what pain loss can bring."
His hand seemed to move in slow motion as it drew the pistol away from Percy and towards Kaia. But it was not with slow motion that Percy moved. He felt the power welling up from within him, but most definitely not from him as he tore himself from the Primordials grip and grabbed the gun arm, spinning the gun away from his precious daughter as he used his other hand to push her away and towards Annabeth. His actions pulling them from whatever magic kept them captive.
The next sound to reach his ears was the sound of the pistol firing three times, each shot punctuated by a piercing pain in his back and out his stomach. Annabeth and Kaia's scream soon followed as Annabeth held back the small child from running towards him.
"It seems you chose to die today instead young Jackson. A pity, I was looking forward to a battle. Though at least I seemed to have underestimated your strength. It matters now. Be gone from this world young halfling." The pistol swung back towards his body as he struggled to rise when he sank into the ground, a black void pulling him in as he disappeared from view. Much to the displeasure of Chronos as he turned towards the two girls screaming the mans name. "It seems my fun was interrupted again. Then it is your lives I will reap as planned."
"GO AWAY BAD MAN! GO AWAY!" Kaia's scream seemed to blast through the man as he covered his ears and stepped away from her as her body began glowing white with moonlight streaming through the windows. "GO AWAY!" Her hands outstretched as if to push him away when twin bolts of moonlight flew from her fingers and slammed into his stomach and shoulder respectively. Drawing Golden, glittery blood from him.
"Seems all my fun is being cut short. You've put this small part of me out of commission for now young moon child. But I will take your life later."
Before either girl could move from the bed he simply faded from being. Glittery golden blood stains the only proof he'd been there.
Annabeth pulled her close, gazing around to see if he'd return, pulling one of Percy's swords from the wall. "Kaia. Can you hear me sweetie? Are you, all right?"
Her words went unanswered as she gazed down at the small child, noticing her eyes staring unseeing where Percy had last been, her breaths coming in short spurts. Giving her a quick kiss she scooped up Percy's phone to see if he was still on the line. She needed help, she's just gotten him back, and not even the primordials' themselves could keep her away from him.
The phone had hung up, so she swiftly called him back. Informing him what had happened, how a god had taken Percy. Deciding not to state that it wasn't technically a god or titan but a Primordial. As well as who he was claiming to be. She needed to research this and know more before she spread that information. Hanging up she quickly went back to Kaia who was beginning to hyperventilate, hands now soaked in the golden ichor soaked spot where Percy had been shot and standing before being swallowed by that strange void.

She was reaching the end of her wits. Nothing she was doing was calming Kaia or bringing her out of this mode she was stuck in. Crying and staring at his blood. "When one is missing something. It is best for a bit of home deary. To remind us that home will bring us all back together." Her mother's voice sounded in her head, loud and clear as she smacked her own cheeks. "Head in the game Annabeth. Percy loves you cause you're strong, have a good head on your shoulders, and know what to do when things go south. He'll find you, you'll find him. We'll be with each other soon. For now, take care of your daughter. Deep breath girl." She swiftly picked Kaia up, her body dead weight in her arms as she carried her into the bathroom, running a scalding hot bath as she quickly sat in the filling tub, with her little daughter in her lap, clasped tight as much for her own benefit as for the small child.
Slowly she began to get some life as the water filled up around them, infusing them with strength as the sea water soaked into their being.
"Mommy… Wheres Daddy?"
"I don't know sweetie. But I know this. Nothing can stop your father from getting to us. Not even time himself. Now let's sleep." Annabeth confidently responded as she leaned back in the tub, allowing herself and Kaia to stretch out, Kaia using Annabeth's well-developed chest as a pillow as she listened to her heartbeat and fell quickly into Morpheus' embrace.

He knew he was floating. But it was not within water he floated. Of that he was sure. But all his eyes could see was a night sky.
