Once back on his floor Clint put the ice cream in the freezer. He went back to the bedroom and grabbed his phone from the end table. Lucky came over once Clint was sitting on the living room sofa. Though sitting might have been an over exaggeration. Clint had slung his legs up to rest on the left arm of the sofa. As he shifted he petted Lucky, giving the dog a few rubs behind their ears.

He texted Natasha, 'Tony and Loki are in the communal kitchen.'

She responded, 'They do both live in the tower and I'm sure they get just as hungry as the rest of us.'

Clint shook his head. There was something about them being there, together, that he didn't like. He just couldn't put it into words for a few minutes, 'I think they are getting too close. We need to do something to check that Tony is okay.'

Then Clint put the phone down before he could see if Natasha would respond. He fetched his ice cream and ate about half of the carton while watching cartoons. Eventually he fell back asleep with cartoons still flashing across the tv screen. When he woke up on the couch the next morning he found the rest of his ice cream melted in the carton.

Meanwhile, Tony finished the Ramen Noodles without any incident. He served up their very late night snack without spilling a drop. They slurped up the noodles and after Loki helped clean up the shockingly minimal mess. Then they made their way back to bed.

In the late morning Tony returned to the communal kitchen to wake up with a large cup of coffee. Even though they had been sharing space for at least a month Tony kept forgetting to bring a coffee maker that worked into Loki's rooms. The one Loki currently had needed to be hit at just the right angle to turn on and then tilted in order for everything to start flowing. There also seemed to be a crack forming at the top of the carafe. All of which Loki deemed to be perfectly fine and workable but Tony couldn't deal with, especially not when he had just woken up.

Loki had left in the early hours to open up his shop. He hummed a tune on his way to the shop and spent an hour or two baking before unlocking the front doors to the public.

Clint already had the coffee percolating when Tony walked in. "So what's exactly going on with you and Loki?"

As Tony shuffled into the kitchen he first registered the glorious smell of coffee. Next he slowed down further as he heard and understood Clint's question. "Well birdbrain not that it's any of your business, or the business of anyone else, but I'd say we've been dating for a couple of weeks now." He walked past Clint, picked up a large mug, and quickly filled it. "Feel free to tell the others. I'm sure they're wondering what's up. Loki and I have been caring for each other; cooking and keeping any nightmares away." Tony took a sip of coffee and said, "We've both been through a lot and sometimes it's nice just having someone there who gets it."

The two were quiet for a few minutes. When Clint finally broke the silence he said, "I get it. I don't love the fact that he's living four floors under me. Actually I still kinda hate it. I still expect the building to collapse because of something he could have been setting up for months now. But I have to admit he's good at baking. He does seem to be trying. And I suppose it would be nice to have someone else in the tower who knows asl. So for now I guess I'll try and be accommodating about this. But if something happens I swear I'll put an arrow in his eye."

Shaking his head with a sad small smile playing on his lips Tony said, "I wouldn't expect much else." Then Tony left for his workshop.

Once Tony left the kitchen Clint pulled out his phone. 'Steve, we need to schedule a family meeting for later today.'

For most of the day Tony tinkered in his workshop. Sometime in the afternoon Jarvis patched a phone call through because apparently Pepper had been trying to reach him for several days. There was some paperwork that Tony needed to read through, make edits on, and eventually sign.

For most of the day Loki smiled as he darted between baking lemon curd sandwich cookies, serving the guests who came in, and making sure the water was always boiling for the next cup of tea. Leeman curled up with a book and a large black tea. Several college age patrons came in for cookies and slices of cake. Children pointed up at the sugary confections as parents tugged them along.

As Friday evening fast approached Steve began cooking a relative feast for the members of the tower. He hummed along to songs that his mother used to sing as she worked so hard keeping him off of death's door. He cooked up dishes reminiscent of what his mom made when she had the time and money to do so. He cooked dishes he had always wished to try. Earlier in the day Natasha had texted to check if Steve was planning on doing his weekly attempt at a family dinner. 'Of course,' he had texted back. He got the impression that it was important for everyone to be there for this particular dinner.

Around mid-afternoon Steve called Tea and Potions to see if Loki would be interested in attending the dinner. He texted Clint, Bruce, and Thor to check if they would make it to dinner. Lastly he asked Jarvis to remind Tony about dinner, "Make sure he knows everyone else is coming and I'll be very disappointed if he's the only one who isn't here to try these cranberry-orange roast ducklings.
