A/N: Welcome to All the News. Despite a lack of adrenaline on both parts, this episode is going to be FREAKY! It's going to be as FREAKY as Invasion of the Shrimps. With the cheerleaders beginning to make more appearances, we get a new perspective, as well as some potentially useful food chain information. As I mentioned in the last chapter's note, Brick City hits theaters, and the cheerleaders get a few scenes so Ron and Kim don't hog the entire story. Because of inclement weather, I had to write parts of this without access to the internet, so if some wordage in the scenes is wrong, I apologize. Let's get this chapter Pop Pop Popping with Pop Pop Porter doing the first disclaimer.

Pop Pop Porter: Maeph93 does not own Kim Possible, me, or Alicia Keys. He only owns his OCs.

Bonnie Rockwaller and Tara Strong's friendship was strikingly similar to that of Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable's friendship. Both met each other in kindergarten and became quick friends. Both hung out frequently and their friend's family became a second family to them. Both knew just about everything about the other. There were no secrets. Both Bonnie and Tara knew the other's emotions and knew how to react.

Bonnie could count the number of times on one hand that Tara had been truly angry, and Liz kissing Stoppable definitely made it so. Bonnie had no idea the reason behind the kiss, but she was pretty certain it wasn't because Liz liked Ron. The way she talked about Andrew, it was obvious that she liked Ron's friend, Andrew. He was a bit odd with the blue hair, but he hung around with the right crowd, so Bonnie would be okay if Liz and Andrew hung out. No, Bonnie didn't believe that Liz liked Ron.

When Bonnie arrived alongside a glaring Tara, she searched everywhere she could think of for Liz. Even though Tara was perfectly capable of speaking to Liz herself, Bonnie thought she should take the task and save a cheerleader from getting harmed. Despite Tara's size, she could hit you hard. Just ask Bonnie.

It was after her second class that Bonnie spotted Liz by the water fountain near the restroom. Their eyes met and Liz's eyes dropped to the ground momentarily before she entered the restroom, Bonnie taking that as her cue to enter. The restroom was surprisingly empty, almost as if the area knew that the conversation was for Bonnie's ears only.

"I know why you're here," Liz began. "Though I have to ask, why isn't Tara the one asking the questions?"

"I thought I'd save you from getting hurt. It's never a good idea to get on Tara's bad side," Bonnie confessed.

Liz let out a sigh but refrained from saying anything as she washed her hands. After drying off, she answered, "It's not because I like Ron. That's not why I did it. He helped me see Andrew instead of dying at that camp and I was thanking him for it. The kiss didn't mean anything."

Bonnie assured Liz that she understood and that people would know as well. She neglected to mention to Liz that a few of the cheerleaders were the ones that started the rumor and Bonnie now had to go around and shut the rumors down. Or start a new rumor, as that was how the food chain worked. Bonnie followed Liz out of the bathroom and headed to her next class, which was with Tara. It seemed as if fate wanted this resolved as quickly as possible.

The jocks and cheerleaders, as well as Andrew, hung out at the popular's table during lunch and talked about the upcoming games between Middleton and East Side. Brick Flagg was looking forward to redemption after last year's horrible performance in which he completed five passes and threw four interceptions. Tara accepted Liz's apology after she examined the care and affection that Liz showed Andrew from afar, which didn't go unnoticed by some of the jocks.

The day passed rather quickly, as Ron did not show up in Bonnie's Chemistry class and flirt with her. Thank goodness. Because of Ron's rumor about her being gay, Bonnie had refrained from talking to Ron, as she was afraid that anything she said would be interpreted as flirting. Eventually, Liz convinced her to return, and Bonnie did so, only to nearly die at the hands of Gill. She had to admit, she owed Ron for saving her life. Lately, however, that had caused a shift. Bonnie had been seeing more of a hero in Ron than she initially thought. She found a fondness for Ron.

Unfortunately, Tara was crushing hard on Ron. And Bonnie was not going to pursue Ron if Tara wanted to date him because Bonnie didn't think it was fair. The good thing about Bonnie's leave was that she saw things differently. She saw purpose in the students and wondered how she might manipulate it for her own means. That is, assuming she wanted to do things that way. Bonnie wasn't sure which road she wanted to take. Like Lao Tzu said, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Shortly after school ended, Bonnie met with Tara, Hope, and the other cheerleaders near the back end of the football field. Both cheerleaders and football players enjoyed the view they received from practicing. The practice seemed to breeze in no time at all and after the cheerleaders spelled out H-O-T, Kim had them take a five-minute break.

"Kim, help me out. I need an angle," Ron stated as Kim approached him on her way to a water break.

"Why ask me? You're the born reporter," Kim said, not even bothering to look at Ron. A sudden realization came to her as she was drinking water. Ron wasn't calling her KP very often. Ever since he got the haircut, Ron used the nickname less and less. She wondered why that was, as Ron called used to call her that frequently. Determined to get to the bottom of it, Kim turned around and asked, "Hey, Ron, why haven't you –?"

"Hey..." Brick greeted.

Kim held back a huff, annoyed that the quarterback interrupted her moment with Ron. "Um, hey, Brick," she said.

"Nice outfit," Brick complimented.

Watching from a distance, Ron refrained from groaning. Brick couldn't even take a hint. He thought his status defined who he was as a person, one of the pitfalls of the Food Chain, and one that needed to be broken. However, how was Ron supposed to inform Bonnie of that? He could befriend her, but he knew how that would look. He would have to start by apologizing and then see where things go from there.

"Ron, why are you looking at me like that?" Kim wondered once Brick had left to throw the football around.

"Sorry. I didn't even realize," Ron admitted. "I decided I'm going to interview you."

Kim inwardly cringed, knowing her relationship with Ron at the moment wasn't perfect at the moment. The last thing she wanted was to have Ron interview her and ferociously misquote her. However, Ron was her best friend. Hoping she wasn't making a mistake, Kim agreed. She hoped she was wrong about Ron's agenda.

"Oh, and Kim," Ron piped up before he left the field, "I won't accept anything less than the hard-hitting truth."

Kim looked upward and said to herself, That's what I'm afraid of.

Jessica had had a good day. The practice had been good, she had scored well on her recent test, and she just finished frozen yogurt with her twin sister, Maggie. Things had been so hectic lately that Jessica hadn't had the time to hang out with her sister, only seeing her at night. This free night had been satisfying and Jessica knew she wasn't going to get a lot of them unless it was an extended weekend break.

Jessica and Maggie were five blocks from home when suddenly their worlds changed. Someone shoved Jessica onto the pavement and when Jessica stood up, a mugger dressed in a dark green hoodie held some green plasma thing to Maggie's throat.

"Answer the questions truthfully, and I'll let her go," the female mugger ordered.

Finding that she was shaking, Jessica nodded.

"Who are your friends? And don't lie to me. I'll know."

"Cheerleaders, mostly. Bonnie, Hope, Kim, Crystal, Marcella, um…"

"Enough," the mugger ordered. "Have any new people showed up that you or your friends befriended?"

Unsure as to whether she was doing the right thing or not but knowing her sister could get seriously hurt or worse, Jessica told the mugger about Andrew Shen and everything she knew about him. The mugger then shoved Maggie towards her and ran off. Jessica wrapped her arms around her sister and both shed tears, thankful that things had not turned out much worse that night.

Ron Stoppable couldn't keep the grin off his face as he exited the Journalism class. The reporter had recently posted his article about Kim thinking Brick Flagg was hot. He scoured the interview he had with Kim last night, only he couldn't find any other angle than Kim thinking the Brickster was hot in last week's game. So that's what he went with. The first person he ran into that morning other than Kim was Jessica who was trying to be cool and composed. He could tell from a distance that something wasn't right.

"Is everything okay?" Ron inquired as he approached. "You seem worried."

"And you'd know how exactly, Stoppable?" Jessica questioned in an exasperated manner.

Ron refrained from pointing out the obvious, as well as pointing out he knew because of meditation. "You're usually always smiling. You only frown when you're worried or scared."

"Oh. Things are fine."

Ron apologized to himself as he probed Jessica's mind, hoping that the reason behind Jessica's behavior was legit and not something stupid involving boys. As it was, he spotted a mugger and green plasma. That could only mean one thing. Shego. The question was, what was Shego doing out and about Upperton? And mugging people no less? It sounded weak sauce, and unlike Shego.

Ron eventually returned to reality to head to class with the intention to get to the bottom of why Shego had resorted to mugging people. He thought about contacting Shego, but that seemed weird. Besides, she was probably stealing stuff already. He would have to find a way to talk to her in private, which would be away from Kim and that would be hard. Hard, but not impossible.

"Ron, love your article," Bonnie stated, breaking Ron out of his reverie.

Ron nodded in thanks and returned to zoning out. Ron settled on the present setting its course and hoping that he would have that conversation with Shego someday. There wasn't anything he could do about the situation anyway. It would happen when it happens.

A disapproving look greeted Ron when he exited his class forty-five minutes later. Ron deflected from Andrew's comment, saying he would talk with him during lunch, knowing they wouldn't have much of a lunch. Rather, a mission involving Pop Pop Porter's stolen blimp, Shrimp Force One. Still a weird name to this day.

"So, I think Brick Flagg is hot?!" Kim greeted as she stood behind Ron in the lunch line.

"It's true! She said so herself," a girl behind Kim exclaimed.

Ron refrained from rubbing salt in Kim's wound, as he knew that she had more to say. Sure enough, Kim slammed her tray down and cried, "Ron, you ferociously misquoted me!"

Ron shrugged unapologetically. "Hey, I did some rephrasing. That's all." Ron chuckled. "I'm sorry, KP, but for a crime-fighting cheerleader, you give a lame interview." A feeling of relief washed over Kim's face at the fact that Ron still called her KP while Ron hit himself internally at calling Kim by that nickname. The more Ron used that nickname, the more he remembered Kim the Yono's appearances and remembered the people he lost. Jim. Tim. Dr. Drakken. Monique. Bonnie. Tara. Betty. Rufus. His parents and Hana. And Shego.

Kim clearing her throat brought Ron back to the present and he approached the cafeteria lady. "Sorry. I was thinking about my name in ink." He wasn't at all surprised when he received his slop from the cafeteria lady. "She must not know who I am."

"I'm not sure I know who you are," Kim confessed, a small part being serious.

"You really don't," Andrew admitted as he met up with Kim and Ron, all three headed to their table.

"So, I'm thinking about writing about your date with Brickster," Ron confessed, knowing that would never happen, as Brick's abduction would throw a wrench in those plans.

Luckily or unluckily for Kim, Bonnie and Amelia approached Ron, grabbed him by the arm, and told him to sit with him. Ron didn't respond to Amelia's piece about the party, but he promised he would write the piece. He wrote about it in the original timeline anyway, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Ron told Kim and Andrew he would catch them later and left with the two females.

A disgruntled Kim and an unhappy Andrew headed to their own table and Brick slipped into the seat next to Kim, almost as if he was waiting for her. "Hey, Kim. Nice lunch."

Andrew looked around and waited to see if Brick would acknowledge him. He didn't, so Andrew sighed and began to shovel down his lunch.

"Um, thanks. Listen, I'm glad you're here," Kim began, ready to dive into the conversation and tell Brick she couldn't do Friday night.

Brick laughed for a moment and then replied, "I'm glad I'm here too."

Kim paused as Brick's words registered. Clearly, he misinterpreted her words. "No, no. I mean about Friday night. I'm just not sure if..."

"If we should do dinner or a movie?" Brick guessed. "I had the same debate. Then it hit me. Hot dogs at the theater."

Andrew stood up at that moment and grabbed Kim's arm. "We gotta go. It's mission time." As if on cue, the Kimmunicator started to beep, much to Kim's relief.

"Excuse me, er, Brick, we have to go." Kim stood up from the table and left with Andrew. Brick waved goodbye and then eyed Kim's lunch. Meanwhile, Kim and Andrew headed to Kim's locker and greeted Wade on the screen.

"Hey, you got an IM. Pop-Pop Porter, the frozen food king, he needs your help. Apparently, he's been robbed," Wade greeted.

"I smell a scoop," Ron piped up, showing up behind Kim with a pad of paper and pencil in hand. "Hey!" he cried when Kim pushed him aside.

"What was stolen?"

"You brought us out here because someone stole a crustacean? I don't get it," Kim confessed once she had the entire story from Pop Pop Porter. Pop Pop Porter was a wealthy businessman with a robust stomach that was as wide as his wealth.

"Shrimp Force One was my favorite," Pop Pop Porter said.

Andrew glanced at Ron and noticed that he didn't have a clue why someone named the blimp that. "A blimp? Should be easy enough to spot."

Pulling out her Kimmunicator, Kim asked Wade to run a scan for Earth being invaded by sea creatures. A search revealed a giant pig in Belize, a pterodactyl in Pittsburgh – Andrew offered to take either of those but was shot down by Kim telling him to focus and go after that on his own time – and a giant shrimp attack in New York City. So the three of them headed to New York. Hear it for New York, New York, New Yooork!

"On target, Kim. I'm tracking the blimp to just around the corner," Wade informed, pressing a button and showing a big red dot rapidly moving down the streets.

"What...what…" a voice overhead sounded.

"I know that voice," Kim mumbled to herself, too focused on the task to glance up and spot the flying shrimp.

"Adrena Lynn!" Ron called. A light fixture focused on the stolen blimp.

"What…" the same voice overhead called out.

"What will she do next?" the crowd cried in excitement, eager to watch Adrena Lynn's stunt.

Taking a camera from his back pocket, Ron focused the camera on an area off to the right so he could catch Adrena Lynn being a fake. People oohed at Adrena Lynn's intent to bungee jump blindfolded. Ron felt guilty about destroying people's dreams, but this way, at least Jim and Tim wouldn't do anything stupid and try to copy Adrena Lynn's stunts.

The fake Andrena Lynn's bungee cord snapped and Kim jumped into action. Using the jetpack she brought along, Kim soared into the sky and caught the mannequin. "Gotcha! Huh?" When Kim saw the mannequin, she looked skyward and commented, "Okay, that's really annoying."

"Freaky!" Adrena Lynn cried from the top of a building.

People cheered as they thought Adrena Lynn landed safely. Ron knew otherwise, taking discrete pictures of the real Adrena Lynn on the left and the mannequin on the right. The next step was exposing the fake. Hopefully, he could do that without endangering Brick's life.

A/N: This is good enough for now. Next chapter includes a brief conversation between Mrs. Dr. Possible and one of her sons. Brick Flagg and Adrena Lynn make another appearance, obviously, and cheerleading stuff. Next update will be up in at least three weeks.
