She had met them...originally it was fine as just them...but soon he wanted to be more than just them.

(Present)

Vegeta couldn't think straight. The girl before him who smelled strongly of him, and his offspring...would soon be in immediate danger. He knew the power levels that were making their way to Namek...and from what he'd seen so far, none of these warriors were capable of fighting any of them!

Raditz was already telling the Blue Haired earthling to vacate with the weaker humans and the Saiyan halfling. To have the group leave, this meant they were weak. This meant they were useless. He glared at Raditz, the fool had brought baggage with him! Nothing but excess junk! He looked towards the ship, playing with the thought of getting away before He landed. That was lost to the reality of the situation, however. "Damn it! Why now...why so soon!"

"...Vegeta..." Kagome said his name with worry lacing it. She met his eyes as he turned back to her. Although he was glaring, she somehow knew it wasn't directed at her. "No matter what happens," she smiled, "I can take care of myself. The woman you took as a mate, isn't weak. I will survive, so worry about yourself!"

His eyes widened and he wanted to say something, anything, but once more, he was left speechless. A mere moment later and a gust of dirt kicked up around the area where the ship used to be. Vegeta, regardless of what Kagome had said, moved in front of Kagome and pushed her backwards hard enough that she wouldn't hit the ground but...she would fly back a good few feet.

A pair of arms wrapped carefully around her as she was caught in midair. Kagome glanced over her shoulder to see Krillin behind her. He was glaring at the group before them. It was nine of them, but only three of them had caused their nerves to crawl. Somehow, those three were generating more power than anything they'd ever imagined.

"Frieza, what are you doing here?!"

Frieza.

Kagome looked towards the alien, pinkish in color, he didn't look quite so diabolical, but she knew better. She moved out of Krillin's arms, and slightly closer to Vegeta. They had arrived well before the ship had even landed, but truly, they would never have been able to leave the planet before Frieza got to them. She wasn't so foolish to think they'd manage to get away. She hovered not far from Vegeta, her miko energy humming protectively as it wrapped around her. Frieza was staring at her, his eyes not bothering with Vegeta or anyone else.

"Vegeta..."

Kagome's eyes turned from Frieza and took to the green alien who was tapping his scouter. '...they were listening in...the whole time!'

He scoffed, "naturally, why am I not surprised." He smirked, "will you just kill us then? Do you think just the three of you are strong enough?"

Frieza smirked. "I think just Zarbon and Dodoria will be plenty, I needn't lift a finger. I only came, to see...whom had captured the mighty Prince Vegeta's interest." A cruel and dark chuckle sounded around them.

Kagome noticed too late, the vanished Zarbon, appearing behind her and yanking her away from the safety of her friends. "Ah! Let go you creep!" She yelled out, pushing a burst of her purification energy out. She couldn't cause him much pain really, but the shock from her energy surprised him enough that he let her go in his disbelief. She created a sphere-shaped barrier around her and knocked him away with ease. Her eyes met Vegeta's and he too looked on in shock. Taking a chance, she turned her attention back to Frieza, "do you find me all that interesting, Frieza? I have high standards, you know? Nothing the likes of you could ever measure up to."

His eyes burned, anger was an understatement as he shot forward to grab hold of her, but Kagome was already flying away from him. She was flying as fast as she could, sparing a look backwards, she winked at Vegeta who looked stricken at what was happening.

Goku grabbed Vegeta before he could chase after Kagome like he knew he was going to. "She did it on purpose. Let's take care of these two first, Kagome will be fine." Goku turned his eyes to Zarbon and Dodoria who were both smirking, "I didn't expect their power levels to be quite so high...but it's nothing we can't handle."

Vegeta looked at Goku in shock. "...what?" His name, as a Saiyan, he'd learned it to be Kakarot, as such, that's what he referred to him as. "Don't be so foolish, you truly think you are strong enough to take on Zarbon or Dodoria!? Kakarot...grab your kid and my mate, and get out of here. I'll stall them..." Vegeta, for one reason or another, was confidant that they weren't going to be able to take them down quite yet...but it didn't look as if Goku believed him. That, or he simply didn't care to listen.

"Hey," Krillin grinned, "we've got this!"

A chuckle from in front of him, had Krillin looking forward just in time to be punched backwards. His eyes widened and he disappeared before reappearing behind Zarbon. The two trading blows as Goku started with Dodoria, Vegeta still shocked, took to joining up against Zarbon, the one he knew to be stronger out of the two. The others had all left, with Piccolo, Tien and Chiaotzu evacuating the natives, though again...pointless. Vegeta didn't get it, why bother showing up for a fight if you were going to fight!? "AUGH!"

Me: Here is chapter 27, I hope you guys are still with me. The fights probably won't go as you all like, so...bear with me, and... don't kill me. Um... if anyone dislikes my stories, I am okay with that, but please don't tell me to go kill myself...I already suffer from depression, and I don't need help with those thoughts. It's a fight every day just trying to find a reason to be happy but being told to "kill myself" or "neg myself" whatever words you use...it's disgusting. I feel crappy...so, if you don't like someone's story, just…stop reading it. My writing will be slow, I have a bunch of appointments coming up for mild scoliosis and so my days are being cut shorter and shorter, but I'll still do what I can! Review!
