She had met them...originally it was fine as just them...but soon he wanted to be more than just them.

(Present)

"You gave me quite a chase," Frieza laughed, he ran his hand through the long black hair and smirked, "you were just a little too slow." Frieza lifted the unconscious girl carefully into his arms, looking in the direction of the ongoing fight, he checked his own scouter and frowned at the raised power-levels that belonged to Zarbon and Dodoria. "Interesting, they had to power up? For that misfit group?" Frieza glanced down at the girl and chuckled, "I'm sure there's no reason to worry...let's get you settled into your new home."

Vegeta cursed, "damn it...Kakarot!" He yelled out as he punched the ground beside the lifeless Saiyan. The sound of Zarbon coughing up blood from the last life-threatening blow he'd received from Kakarot just before he'd sent his own final blow through his chest. That blow...it had been meant for him.

"Dodoria, l-lets end this now and return to Lord Frieza."

"Heh..." Dodoria nodded, "yeah!" He shot forward and drove his fist into Vegeta's back, but he vanished before impact. Reappearing behind Dodoria, the two kicking and punching as Vegeta forced his eyes away from Kakarot and Krillin's bodies. He was certain that the short one was still alive, but Kakarot...he saw the Ki blast that took the life out of his eyes.

A surge of energy from behind him, told Vegeta that Zarbon was powering up one last time. Going into that hideous form...hideous, but far stronger. Vegeta pressed a button on his scouter as he kicked Dodoria through the mountain side. "Raditz, get the remnants of your group, off Namek."

"What's going on, I can return to join the fight, but Nappa..."

"What about Nappa?!" He yelled as he blocked a series of rapid punches from both Dodoria and Zarbon now.

"He is nowhere to be found, is he with you?"

Vegeta scoffed, "no, he's not. He'd been following us," he kneed Dodoria before taking a punch from Zarbon to the gut and sailing backwards towards the ground. Catching himself by the hands and flipping back before he shot forward again. "If he isn't with you, he must have fled upon Frieza's arrival. Leave without him...and... don't bother coming back. Get the remaining forces off the planet!"

"Let me help!"

"It's no use! Kakarot is..." he glanced to the lifeless body...a mistake. Catching a fist to his face, a knee to his stomach, a foot to his head...he found the ground was quickly closing in on him. He slid across the ground and slipped into the lake of water as his body grew heavy.

Zarbon wiped his brow and breathed a heavy breath of air in as he lifted his hand to his scouter. His movement halted just as a Ki blast took out his scouter and he turned to see who had fired the blast. The short balled one had fired the blast to both Scouters in the last of his energy. Dodoria finishing him off with a rage induced Ki blast to the chest. "Damn," he shrugged, "he'll be dead if he stays under, and he'll die if he leaves the water...no matter what, Vegeta is dead." He shrunk into his more desirable form and smirked. "Let's return to the ship."

Dodoria kicked the lifeless human away from him and let him sink into the lake where Vegeta too would no doubt parish. "Right!" He eyed the fallen soldiers of the Frieza Force and chuckled, "They were stronger than we'd expected...but I guess we were still too much for them. Let's go!"

Raditz listened to Piccolo as he talked to the Father of the Namekian race. "Vegeta told us to get off the planet. We had planned for more time before Frieza showed up."

Piccolo turned away from Guru. The old Namek who'd fathered the natives of Namek. "That may be, but..."

"But we can't leave dad or Krillin...Kagome and Vegeta too! What about them!?"

"Vegeta said Kakarot is-"

"NO!" Bulma felt tears forming at the start of that horrible sentence. "Goku...not Goku! He's too strong...he can't be dead!"

"He's dead!"

Chiaotzu interrupted the yelling, "I can still feel Vegeta and Krillin though...the other two...seem to have left the fighting site."

Raditz eyed the pale fighter and smirked, "they left them alive? That's great! Vegeta will grow stronger, much stronger...and we can destroy Frieza once he heals..." He turned to Bulma, "fire up your ship, I'll return with them both."

"Wait..." Gohan softly spoke up, "I'm going with you! I'll bring back my dad!"

Raditz looked at Gohan and nodded, "let's be quick."

"Gohan!" Bulma yelled as the two started to fly off, both stopped and turned to face her, "you better come back...both of you better stay safe!" She watched Gohan nod and the two were gone. "...if there was only a way to bring someone back from the dead...Goku..."

Piccolo raised a brow and cleared his throat, "didn't you set Kami and Mr. Popo on a mission to collect the dragon balls?"

"Hm?" Bulma frowned.

"The dragon balls...should be gathered while we are all away."

"…we can find them?"

Kagome smiled sadly, "one very rarely plans for their own death..." she laughed at the glare Piccolo sent her way, but she turned her attention back to the two on the carpet that hovered just outside their reach. "You said you could gather the Dragon Balls?"

"We will start as soon as you depart, should you need them, we will have them."

Kagome nodded, "thank you. I hope we won't but call it a feeling...I'd rather be prepared."

Bulma's eyes widened, "yeah...that's right! Wait...but..."

"It's the Namekian's home planet."

Kagome lifted her eyes, "Namek, that's the home planet of the Dragon Ball's too, right?"

The group looked at Kagome.

Kagome frowned, "Was this information that you weren't aware of?"

"Namek is the home planet of the Dragon Balls...so...there is a set here too!"

Guru cleared his throat, "indeed, there is." He coughed lightly, "whatever would you use them for."

Bulma frowned, "to bring back our friend, and to get your people to safety. We aren't going anywhere, no matter what, so this planet is about to turn into a warzone. We need to get you and your children somewhere safe."

"...I see," Guru smiled an old smile, "let us help our off-planet friends..." he coughed, "in whatever way we can."

Piccolo sighed, "do you think we can find the dragon balls so quickly?"

She scoffed, "who do you think I am!?" She pulled her dragon ball radar out and laughed, "never leave home without it." She popped the back off and pulled out a small screwdriver before she started poking and prodding the device. "Just a few alterations...and..." she snapped the back on and flipped it over, pressing the button on top and frowning when it showed a bleep not even ten paces from her. "Hm...did I do something wrong?"

"...what a bright young lady."

Bulma looked behind her and tilted her head before looking back down at her radar, "you mean, it's really here?"

"One in each of the surrounding villages around Guru's home. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Moori. The first Dragon Ball will be the last, I think...we will all do best to reconvene here." He said calmly, "the quickest method, would be to have one of your fighters and one of our brothers, travel together to attain the dragon balls at each location."

Bulma nodded, "you're right...then...it's a plan! Six fighters…Tien, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, Piccolo...right now, we only have the four of them..."

"Nail..." Guru called out, "go with them, please."

Nail stepped forward and looked over the group cautiously, not nearly as trusting as the other Namekian's, but he listened all the same.

"That's five..."

"If you need a sixth..." Piccolo focused his energy and began duplicating as he used the Cloning Technique.

Bula scrunched up her nose and sighed as there were now two Piccolo's. "...well...we have six, now."

"Nail already knows where to go, we will send one of our brothers off with one of each of your warriors."

He called four of the adult Namekian's forward and then Guru paused before placing his large hand down on a child's head. "Dende, you too will go..."

"Ah...me?! But-" Dende looked shocked before he nodded in understanding, "I will, you can count on me, Guru!"

"Good, my child."

Bulma seemed a bit more uncertain, but then, she'd seen children take down overlords...why not trust this kid. She grinned, "right, mission: Dragon Balls! Good luck guys!"

Bulma waved as the guys flew off in pairs, she watched until they were all specs in the sky. Her eyes closed and she sat down and stared impatiently. "...waiting...is that really all I can do?"
