She had met them...originally it was fine as just them...but soon he wanted to be more than just them.
(Present)
Zarbon and Dodoria looked in shock at the girl that lay motionless on the floor next to their Lord.
"You have finally returned, I see. No doubt, you've dealt with Vegeta and his pesky group?"
"Vegeta is dead, as are the others who raised arms against us." Dodoria smirked, showing no signs of their earlier struggle with the Saiyan and his buddies. "You caught the girl...what will you do with her?" A sick look found it's way to his eyes and before Dodoria even knew what was happening, he was shot backwards through the archway that led to Frieza's lookout. "L-Lord Frieza!?"
Frieza sneered, "you are no longer needed, perhaps you should leave before I dispose of you myself."
Dodoria, not knowing what he'd said to upset his Lord, bowed and left the room before he could possibly do anymore damage.
Zarbon sniffed in disgust, "Lord Frieza, I really don't see why you keep him around. He's so...vulgar…disgusting, really."
Frieza smirked, "yes, we have a more refined upbringing, but he's muscle, nothing more. Oh...just curious, but did you check to make sure that Vegeta was dead?"
Zarbon shook his head, "I'm afraid not. To be perfectly honest, our scouters were destroyed, and we lost sight of him when we dealt the finishing blow that sent him flying into the lake."
A frown fell along Frieza's lips and he stood from his seat, walking to the window, he glared into the eyes of his right-hand man reflection. "Zarbon, return with a scouter, and make sure there isn't a bleep of life to be seen."
Zarbon bowed, "yes, Lord Frieza." He turned to leave but was stopped halted by his Lord.
"Before you leave, take her to a spare room...she is, after all...our guest."
"...our...guest? My Lord, please forgive my curiosity, but this woman is carrying Vegeta's child...why not just kill her?"
"Hue hue, why...Zarbon...they only get stronger with every generation...haven't you noticed this yet?" He turned his eyes to the girl and grinned diabolically. "I will let this girl live, until the child is born...and this child, will be my heir."
Zarbon's eyes widened in understanding, "of course, I will take her to a locked room."
"Please do, see to it that she can't simply walk out of here."

Raditz stared at the lake and sighed irritably, "I hope they aren't in there..."
Gohan shook his head, "It doesn't seem like it. I feel their energy...it's faint...almost completely gone."
"Then we best act fast."
Nodding, Gohan shot towards the left and Raditz went right, both flying low to the ground as they searched out the bodies of their comrades. It took them about ten minutes, not too long, to find Vegeta and Krillin lying beside one another. Both beaten, bloodied and broken. Krillin peered through a half-lidded eye, blood seeping from a head wound and into the single open eye.
"Krillin!" Gohan rushed forward, his hands immediately finding his fathers childhood friend and going straight to healing what he could.
"Heh…I-I thought that...Vegeta told you guys..." Krillin chuckled, "Never mind, you are your father's son." His voice grew clearer as he regained his health little by little. "Gohan, heal Vegeta...I don't know how your healing works, but I don't want you to wear yourself out."
Gohan dropped his hands from Krillin and nodded, "yeah...I'm not quite as good as Kagome is..." he moved towards Vegeta who was barely conscious, only barely able to hold onto his state of awareness. "Vegeta..." he called out to the Saiyan Prince, "...talk to me..."
"Nng..." Vegeta felt the warmth of the boy's energy running over his body and turned his head a bit to better his sight of the boy. He took the kid in and realized who he belonged to. "Kakarot's kid...I've never seen a Saiyan with the ability to heal."
Gohan smiled, "Kagome has been teaching me..." he glanced around, "speaking of Kagome...where is she?"
Krillin frowned, "she led Frieza off on her own. I honestly don't know where she is, or if she's okay. I will say this though, if she hadn't distracted that Frieza guy, we would all..." Krillin turned his eyes to Goku and sighed, "...well..."
"How did dad..." Gohan couldn't bring himself to say it, but both knew what he was asking.
Scoffing, Vegeta pushed the kid off of him, "don't waste your energy anymore. We should leave before Frieza sends one of his lacky's to check up on us."
"Check up on?" Krillin frowned as he stood up and massaged his shoulder.
Raditz turned his head to Krillin and Gohan, "the fact that Vegeta and you are alive, means they didn't do a good job checking to make sure they finished you off. Frieza isn't the type to leave things unfinished. He will send someone to make sure you both dead..." his eyes turned to the sky.
"Let's leave now." Gohan said as he stood up, "um, Kagome still has the scouter...right?"
"She probably does but using the scouters as a form of communication is no longer an option." Vegeta made a tight fist, "Frieza is tapping all of the scouters, how do you think he knew we'd be here?"
A power energy surging from the south stole their attention and three of the four turned their eyes towards the direction it was coming in. Gohan flew to his father and grabbed him, "we need to go now!" He flew quickly with the other three around him. They would make it out safely, but the absence of evidence...would possibly cause more problems?
Vegeta looked at the dead body being hauled around by Gohan, "...I hope it's not Zarbon or Dodoria...they will notice Kakarot missing..."
"But if it's Dodoria, he will keep that to himself. The coward that he is..."
Smirking, Vegeta acknowledged the truth of the statement as they distanced themselves from the fighting site. "Here!" They landed and hid behind some rock formations, heavy shadows swallowed them. "Spread out and lower your power levels!"
The four scattered in the shadows, and Gohan laid his father down next to him as he took in his battered form. He wanted to know what happened, so badly...but, he guessed that would have to wait. 'Dad...I'm sorry...I should have been there. I don't know how, but...we'll get you back! ...somehow...we'll get you back.' Staring at his father, his eyes widened as his dad's body started to fade from beside him. "...wha...what!?"

"Wooh! This is insane!" Goku looked at Kami and laughed, "I was dead...I'm sure of it! Oh, wait...does that mean you died too, Kami?"
Kami frowned, "no, Goku. I'm very much alive. I've taken it upon myself to see to furthering your training if you are interested. You only get this chance once in a blue moon...and the prerequisites to be trained...are not easily acquired."
"Hm? What do you mean?"
Kami sighed, "we have the dragon balls ready for when you are done training, but, to be perfectly honest, you can't do this training unless you are dead...so this...I feel is a best case scenario. Sure, I would have hoped you'd killed Frieza first, but...I'm sure, your friends will be fine. In fact, I'm confident they will be."
Goku looked down with a frown, "...I don't know how I feel about leaving them alone on Namek. With Krillin, Vegeta and I down for the count-"
"Vegeta and Krillin are alive and well, actually." Kami laughed, "and as you should know by this point, a Saiyan gets stronger with every near death experience. Vegeta will only grow from this. Your son healed them both."
"Oh! That's great!" Goku grinned, "then can you be sure to let them know what the plan is?"
"Yes, of course. I already took the liberty of taking your body and preserving it. I will be sure to communicate with Gohan and the others too...but first, we should seek permission from King Yama." Kami started walking off, "this way, Goku."
Looking after Kami, Goku turned to the line of little clouds and frowned at the name. "King who?"

Me: Here is chapter 29, and while I'll go ahead and start chapter 30, I probably won't get it finished before I head home from work. Sadly, it's a full day of chores once I get home, I need to do the dishes and mow the backyard before I get some form of sleep before my appointment and then go to work again. Heh...I'm not looking forward to this...but I will update tonight at work if I don't get it in before I leave work today! Review, and let me know what you think!
