Sachi: So Author, if I may ask, what's the story behind your username anyways?
Oh Sachi, my sweet and innocent creation you... *Grabs him by the collar and pulls him into me* That's a can of worms best left unopened.
Sachi: Oh come on now, it can't be that bad, right Izuku?
Izuku: *Pats Sachi in the back* Trust me, it's better to keep your ability to sleep.
Sachi: *Turns towards door* Aaaalright then, I'll just... get... going...
...
Izuku: So, author, whatever happened to the "on the run" subplot anyways?
*Whispers to self* All... dead... so many bodies... so much blood...
Izuku: Welp, back into my hole I crawl.
The sound of explosions reverberated throughout the city. In the distance, All Might tried to get the entirety of class 1-A back in order after Izuku had just tackled Katsuki off an overpass that was a dozen stories tall. While trying to contain the riot that insued however, a handful of students slipped right under All Might's nose, dashing off after the feuding students. While all of this was going on, the pro hero turned teacher let out an exasperated sigh.
"Making a wonderful first impression, Toshinori!" All Might said to himself in frustration.
Within the deep reaches of the faux city, the scenery was slowly morphed from a ghost town with leftover cardboard cutout citizens from previous training sessions into a warzone. Izuku, within the middle of these flames, struggled to keep up, as his opponent barraged him with a flurry of explosions from all sides, using his quirk for both offense and mobility, practically flying around his quirkless foe.
"This isn't good, he's got me on the ropes." thought Izuku, having been on the defensive ever since his tackle.
Taking what he had learned from Crescent and Toga, He knew that there was no way for him to win against Katsuki head on. After dodging another explosion, he used that opportunity to cloak himself with the presence erasing techniques he had learned from Toga.
"Where did you go, Deku?" Asked Katsuki, as he looked around for him, having seemingly disappeared.
Suddenly, out of the shadows, Izuku sprung out, hitting Katsuki in the back before vanishing once more. Turning around, Katsuki saw nothing, only to get hit from behind again by something. He looked at every nook and cranny of the street he was fighting, every crater he made, but there were no signs. And yet, he was still getting hit, as if his opponent was invisible.
However, contrary to what he thought, Izuku wasn't hiding anywhere. He was right in front of him, hiding in the blind spots of Katsuki's peripheral vision, and shifting to another blindspot every time Katsuki turned his head all the while showing him with a flurry of strikes. Strikes kept on coming, as while they weren't strong individually, where overwhelming in number. The blows delivered had to be this way, as in order to stay out of the opponent's sight, the user must be constantly on the move, preventing force or momentum to properly build up. The blows were more of a distraction more than an actual method to put someone down.
"I'll keep this up until he loses his patience, then, once I see an opening, I'll deliver a decisive strike to his chin. That should be enough to put him down!" Thought Izuku.
As the flurry of blows continued, Katsuki became fed up. If he couldn't find the assailant, then he'll just blow up everything around him. He raised both of his hands, aiming them at the ground, ready to explode everything around a 2 block radius.
"Now!"
As quickly as his body would allow, Izuku struck Katsuki in the face with a blow that would knock out even a first rate Karate champion. However, something felt off. The response didn't feel right.
"Found you!" Said Katsuki.
"He lured me in!" Thought Izuku.
Katsuki had predicted that Izuku would have tried to attack him once he found an opening, so he faked his losing of patience in order to draw him out. When Izuku struck, Katsuki shifted his head downwards, as the punch hit his forehead, not his chin.
"Cheap tricks will only get you so far Deku!"
Katsuki delivered an explosion boosted elbow into Izuku's face, as the kid fell backwards, reeling in pain. Katsuki then used his explosions to propel himself back into the air.
"I miscalculated!" Thought Izuku, "Kacchan... he got stronger!"
"What's wrong Deku!? You were talking all that hot shit earlier!" Katsuki cackled maniacally, divebombing into Izuku feet first, delivering a wicked dropkick to his left arm, which he barely threw up to block the hit, "Want me to 'take it back'? You're insane if you think you're in the position to make demands!"
Struggling to get up, Izuku clenched his fist, as he kipped himself off the ground and dashed rapidly towards Katsuki, attempting to elbow him in his solar plexus. However, by unleashing an explosion to his left, Katsuki used the recoil to dodge the attack, striking Izuku in the sides with a right hook. This was followed by his palm opening, blasting him with a point blank explosion, sending him flying several feet back.
"All you had to do was listen Deku." Said Katsuki in a frustrated tone.
Before Izuku could even get up, Katsuki kicked him back down. Grabbing him by his hair, he blond student lifted him off the ground, before blasting him with another point blank explosion, sending him flying through the front windows of a bank.
"Give up those ridiculous pipe dreams, save yourself the trouble and accept that you'll only ever be a worthless piece of shit." He continued, as his slowly walked towards the building, walking past the destruction he caused as the bodies of cardboard cutout civilians lay sprawled across the street. One of these cutouts showed the image of a crying little girl, it's face half singed from the explosion. Katsuki stepped on it, breaking it in pieces without so much as a second thought.
"But no! Instead, you always put up your fists and spout the most ludicrous shit I've ever heard. 'I'm gonna be the greatest hero! I'm gonna be like All Might! It's not the quirk that counts! It's the heart!'" He hissed, murder present in both his eyes and tone of speech, "That annoyingly stubborn attitude pisses me off to no end!"
He lifted his right hand and aimed it at the building, as a scope popped out of the grenade gauntlet, as well as a small canon and what appeared to be a trigger.
"You should know, you tackled me, so technically I'm just defending myself." He said, his lips curving upwards, as his crimson red eyes were now complemented by a vicious smile, "Meaning I'm allowed to go as far as I please."
His gauntlet expanded like a ballon, practically doubling in size.
"So do me a favor and die you piece of shit!"
As the trigger was pulled, a glowing ball shot out of his gauntlet, containing the accumulation of Katsuki's nitroglycerin-like sweat from the start of the battle. As it made impact, a deafening boom was heard, rivaling the force of a gasline explosion, as the impact shattered all the windows within a 2 block radius. Ochaco, Toga and Todoroki, several streets away within the massive city looking for the two, managed to find out about their location thanks to said explosion, as they quickly made their way towards it.
"What the hell is wrong with that kid!?" Exclaimed Todoroki, "From Izuku's descriptions of him, I thought he was just your run of the mill asshole, but he's straight up psycho!"
"I just hope Izuku's okay..." Said Ochaco.
Toga, however, knowing the grueling training both she, All For One and his associate Crescent put him under, had much more confidence in her voice.
"I'm sure he'll be alright." She said in a reassuring tone.
"Well I hope you're right, Toga-chan." Replied Ochaco, "Cause from what I see, that guy's out for blood."
Katsuki stood before the inferno of his creation, watching as the entire building burned down, seemingly with Izuku still inside.
"You should never have come here, jerk." He said, panting, slightly fatigued from his last attack.
Not even sticking around or thinking about what he had just done, Katsuki walked off, ready to resume the class as if nothing happened. However, while he was ruthless, he was no killer by any means, had that been anyone else in his class, he'd have thought twice about pulling the trigger. So why did he outwardly murder one of his classmates then? Simply put, he didn't view his actions on Izuku as too harsh, he never did, to him, it was like swatting a really pesky fly. In his eyes, Izuku was just that worthless.
"We're not done yet, Katsuki!" Izuku yelled out, flames shooting out of his eyes in rage.
Or so he thought.
"You can't be serious." muttered Katsuki.
Turning around, he saw Izuku, standing outside the burning building. His hero costume was severely damaged, cracked and ripped up, and blood was running down his head, painting streaks of blood down his face. And yet, despite all that, like a cockroach, he survives.
"Why?! Why won't you just die!?" Katsuki yelled out, charging at an injured opponent with every intent to finish him off.
However, dodging the punch, Izuku grabbed his right arm, the arm he always leads his punches with, and tossing him over his shoulder, slamming him against the concrete ground and knocking the wind out of him.
"You're becoming predictable, next time, try leading with a left hook or something." Said Izuku, kicking him while he's down.
"Damn it, gotta get back u-" Muttered Katsuki, before a tightening feeling wrapped around his neck. Izuku had put him in a headlock.
As Katsuki struggled to get free, Izuku used his other hand to pummel Katsuki's face repeatedly. Katsuki, being swarmed by hits that felt like they came from seasoned martial artists, retaliated by blasting Izuku in the back with an explosion in order to free himself. However, before he even got a chance to catch him breath, Izuku grabbed both of his shoulders, using him as a stool as he delivered a flying knee kick to his face, breaking his nose.
"How's that for a quirkless piece of shit huh!? How is it!?" Yelled Izuku, with an equally murderous tone, "All quirkless people are worthless? Wake up and smell the coffee Kacchan, because if what you're saying is true, then you're the only 'future hero' I've met who's blood was spilled by a worthless piece of trash!"
Katsuki, seeing this much of his own blood being spilled, by Deku no less, trembled. Not in fear however, but in overwhelming rage. His looked back up to him with the eyes of a mad dog, as he aimed his other gauntlet at him.
"I'm gonna fucking mutilate you!" He said, pulling the pin once again.
However, instead of launching another blast like normal, his other gauntlet emitted a flurry of light. For a brief moment, Katsuki noticed the problem: a shard of glass stabbed into the container, jamming the firing mechanism. The weapon misfired, as the explosion happened point back in Katsuki's face instead of Izuku. This allowed Izuku to close the distance and, pulling a knife from under his sleeve, slashed at Katsuki's face, cutting his cheek.
"Fucking bastard!" Katsuki retaliated with an overhead swing, knocking the knife out of Izuku's hand, as the latter responded with an elbow to Katsuki's chin.
"I've put up with your shit for over 10 years Kacchan!" Izuku said, "All those days spent alone, beaten, belittled, and to this day you still see me as the same useless garbage I always was!"
Katsuki tried to throw another punch, but Izuku took it without flinching, as he delivered a throat chop, followed by a strike to his armpit and joints, and all the other places Toga had told him hurt the most when struck.
"Nothing's changed about you in these past years." Said Izuku grabbing him by the neck, attempting to strangle him, "You... even now you stare at me with those eyes like I'm nothing more than a pebble in your path, a blip in your story! What about my story damn it!?"
Suddenly, Izuku felt a stinging back. Letting go of him, Izuku looked down to find a glass shard stuck in his stomach. Katsuki had done the unthinkable and actually stabbed him.
"When we grow up, we'll still be friends right?"
Katsuki, rubbing his neck, looked at Izuku.
"I can't wait for the day where we become heroes! I'm sure that I'll be the greatest!"
"You're nothing, and you will always be nothing." Said Katsuki in a soft, seemingly calm tone.
However, looking at him for one second, Izuku knew he was anything but. His face no longer had a furrowed look, and he spoke with an indoor voice. His face had practically become a blank slate. He had not calmed down however, as his eyes were now blank, vacant even, having shed all shreds of humanity within them. He had gone far beyond the realms of anger and in now feeling nothing pure raw bloodlust.
"So you've finally lost it, huh?" Asked Izuku in a pitiful tone.
Slowly walking towards Izuku, he took off the other gauntlet. It was too cumbersome, probably should file a complaint about that. Izuku, on the other hand, sensing the sheer about of savagery he was facing, took up a defensive stance. What was he gonna do next? A punch, a kick, an explosion. Neither.
...
...
*Squelsh*
What he went for, was a bite. The sound of flesh ripping was followed by a stinging pain, as Izuku quickly pulled back, a bite sized chunk having been ripped out of his forearm. Katsuki, still standing there, unfeeling, chewed on the piece of flesh still hanging out of his mouth as a way to intimidate him.
"You son of a bitch!" Izuku grunted, his arm spewing out blood.
"It hurts doesn't it?" Asked Katsuki in that same dull, emotionalless voice of his, as he slowly started to advance again, becoming more and more frantic, "It hurts doesn't it? It hurts doesn't it? It hurts doesn't it? It hurts doesn't it?It hurts doesn't it?It hurts doesn't it?It hurts doesn't it?ITHURTSDOESN'TIT?ITHURTSDOESN'TIT?ITHURTSDOESN'TIT?ITHURTSDOESN'TIT?ITHURTSDOESN'TIT? DOES IT HURT!?"
Pulling out a spare knife, Izuku went in for another stab. However, Katsuki blocked the stab, as the knife went right through his hand. Despite that, he didn't even flinch, as he grabbed the hand that stabbed him, and held it in place with his other hand. Suddenly, Izuku was met with intense pain as Katsuki begin to break it, one finger at a time.
Attempting to break free, Izuku begun striking at Katsuki's sides with his knee. Eventually, he heard a hard, as Katsuki reeled back in pain or a brief moment. That moment was all he needed as, with all the force he can muster, Izuku brought his fist down like a hammer, striking Katsumi in the face so hard that he bent backwards, smashing into the ground and forming a small crater. The hit was so strong that it also broke two of Izuku's own fingers in the process.
The fight finally over, Izuku dropped to his knees, panting.
"You... why couldn't you just take back what you said?" He asked in a semi-annoyed tone.
However, even that wasn't enough, as Katsuki picked himself off the ground. Although still angered, the hit to the head by Izuku had managed to knock some senses back into him. Sadly, it still wasn't enough. Katsuki quickly delivered a kick to Izuku, sending him flying backwards.
"That hurt!" He hissed, ready for more fighting.
Izuku, seeing that there's still fight left in him, got back up as well. Reaching into his coat's pockets, he searched to see if he had hidden an extra knife or something. Instead, what he pulled out were those black vials All For One gave him in case of emergency. However, he wasn't entirely sure what they were for, but knowing All For One, they were probably quirk related.
He knew that, whatever the cost, he couldn't use them, not against Katsuki. If he did, he'd run the risk of giving away his true intentions. But Katsuki was still pissed and he was running low on options.
"You bastard!" He yelled, dashing in as Izuku found himself in the same position as he did at the start of the fight: on the defensive.
His options becoming more and more narrow. Attemting to turn things around, Izuku gambled all of his luck on one last punch. However, it landed nowhere, as Katsuki slipped under it, delivering a vicious uppercut. As Izuku fell back, the back of his head cracked against the concrete curb, as he felt his conscience briefly slip. Katsuki however did not show any mercy, as he ran in to stomp Izuku head into the curb. Izuku, on the other hand, was unable to remain conscious to see Katsuki's foot make contact, as he slipped into the realm of unconsciousness.
Suddenly, Izuku found himself in a hospital room.
"Huh? Where am I?" He thought.
his vision was blurry, he couldn't see much. He tried to move, but his movement felt very limited, as if he wasn't in his own body. Looking around, the light was blinding, as if he had just opened his eyes after a long sleep. From what he could make out, there were people, most of which he didn't know.
"W-What's going on?"
He tried to speak those thoughts of his out loud, but found himself unable to. Looking to his left however, a familiar face popped up. Despite all the blur, he could recognize that green hair anywhere.
"Mom!"
Something felt off though. She seemed sad, mortified even. Not only that, but it didn't look like she was in the best health. Looking down a bit, he saw bandanges wrapped around her belly. Was she hurt? No, it can't be right, those wounds don't look recent, but they didn't look old either. Looking back, he remembered back when he used by bathe with his mom. Even if his childhood memories were fuzzy, something he would always remember was a massive scar that was found on both the front and behind her lower belly region, as if something had run clean through her.
However, whenever he would ask, his mother would claim that it was a car crash. The bandages he saw now, they were covering up the exact area where those scars were. Just then, someone entered the room.
"Inko-chan! I came as fast as I could!" Exclaimed the voice of a complete stranger, "I'm sorry I couldn't be there at your husband's funeral, I tried, I really tried!"
"What's going on here?" thought Izuku.
The stranger looked at him with a warm smile that felt all too familiar, he then leaned in to pick him up. In doing so, Izuku got a pretty clear look at his face. It looked somewhat familiar, with it's fluffy ginger hair, lively eyes and a freckled face. Wait, pick him up? How was he so much bigger than him? As a matter of fact, everyone seemed so much bigger than him.
"He's... beautiful..." Said the stranger.
"Thanks, the doctors said that he was in perfect health." Replied Inko.
"That's great news! Have you decided on a name yet?" Asked the stranger.
"I've got one... Izuku." She said, looking at him with the loving eyes of a mother.
"I see..." Thought Izuku, "These are memories, the ones of when I was born..."
However, something seemed off about the stranger. Even though he never saw him, there was a distinct feeling as though he had seen him somewhere before. But how? Who was he? And was did he seem so close to his mom?
"Inko, again, I am so sorry about your husband, I'm sure if he was here right now, he'd be so happy." Said the stranger.
"It's been nearly 9 months now, no need to apologize every time you know..." She replied, "Still, I'm glad I still have you around, Shigaraki-kun, at times like this, I don't know who to trust anymore."
"Shigaraki?" Thought Izuku, "This guy looks nothing like him! What the hell is going on?!"
Looking at the clock however, the supposed "Shigaraki" got up, putting on his coat.
"Where are you going?" Asked Inko.
"I have a lot of people meet today. It's not easy, being out of a job." Said "Shigaraki".
"Well then... see you soon." Replied Inko.
"Yeah, you too..." Replied "Shigaraki".
However, as the man left the room, Izuku saw something while everyone's back was turned. His face warping and changing shape, before turning into someone he actually knew. All of a sudden, it all because clear, as he reached out, calling for his name.
"All For One-Sensei!"
Suddenly, he found himself standing up again, face to face with Katsuki, the latter shocked that he got up after all the beatings he took.
"H-How!?" Exclaimed Katsuki.
"I feel like I just saw something I wasn't meant to see..." Thought Izuku, still weirded out by that vision.
Turning to Katsuki, he raised his fists up, ready to fight once more.
"Screw it, ask those questions later. For now, I need to focus on winning!" Thought Izuku.
"What's it gonna take for you to go down!?" Yelled Katsuki, struggling to stand up himself.
"I can do this all day." Panted Izuku in reply.
The two sides, both nearing their limit, ran at each other one more time, ready to take each other's life. Suddenly, came in, separating the two of them.
"Stop it now! Both of you!" A voice called out.
Shoto, Ochaco and Toga ran in, breaking up the two right before things got any more bloody.
"Toga, Shoto! Get outta my way!" Yelled Izuku, as the two had to hold him back.
"Fuck off Round face!" Yelled Katsuki, smacking Ochaco aside.
"No Katsuki! You need to stop!" Exclaimed Ochaco.
Looking at him with anger filled eyes, Katsuki swung his fist at Ochaco, with full intention to harm her. Just then, a strong and calloused hand came in, holding him back as well.
"It isn't heroic to hit a girl." Said Kirishima, grabbing him by the wrist.
"You wanna die too, shitty-hair!?" Asked Katsuki.
"Bakugo, you're gonna stop this right away, got it?" Ordered Kirishima in a stern voice.
Looking over his shoulder, he saw that the rest of the Class and even All Might were on their way as well.
"Peh, whatever." Sneered Katsuki, breaking the grip and wandering off, only to get grabbed by All Might, who also grabbed Izuku.
"You two are in serious trouble!" Exclaimed All Might, "I'm taking both of you to the principal's office, now!"
As the fighting finally broke off, both Katsuki and Izuku were carried off in seperate medical bots, as All Might, letting out an exasperated sigh, had to, by school policies, resume the class. While he sorted out the teams, Todoroki and Toga talked to one another.
"You think they're in big trouble?" Asked Todoroki.
"I really hope not." Replied Toga.
