The moment Bo and Clark entered the Dahl Riata, the room froze, all eyes on the two newcomers.

"That's enough. These are guests, not animals at a zoo. Back to your drinks." The short gray-haired man behind the bar said. Slowly every eye turned back to their drinks, although both Clark and Bo knew that their respite would be only temporary at best.

Tamsin glared at a couple of sprites who weren't minding their manners before she and Dyson led Clark and Bo over to the man who had spoken.

"Bo, Clark, this is Fitzpatrick Mcormick. He is the keeper of this waystation, and one of our elders. We call him Trick." Dyson said, and the man now called Trick smiled.

"It's nice to meet you both. I hear you caused quite a scene." He said, and Bo grinned.

"We don't follow rules very well. Now, not to be rude, but can we get a drink before we have to deal with the Morrigan and the Ash? I have a feeling we'll need them." Bo said, and Trick laughed.

"You're not the first ones to think that. I'll get you something. First one's on the house. Tamsin, would you please show them where to sign in while I grab drinks? Dyson, can you check and see when the Morrigan and the Ash are due to arrive?" Trick asked, and the two nodded, Dyson walking around the bar and down the hallway while Tamsin led Bo and Clark through a side door and into a sitting room.

The two sat on the sofa, while Tamsin took one of the three remaining chairs. She reached over and grabbed a book and an old feather quill, flipping it open.

"As I told you, the Dahl is neutral territory. However, everyone must declare themselves. Let's start with your names and Fae identity. Bo, Succubus. No last name sweetheart?" She asked, and Bo smirked.

"Dennis."

"Parents names?"

"Todd and Mary Dennis." Bo replied, and Tamsin shook her head.

"Not who I was asking about sweetheart. Fae parents."

"No idea. I didn't even know I was different until I was eighteen."

"Okay. So parents are unknown. What about you handsome?"

"Clark Kent, no Fae parents that I know of, and I have no idea what type of Fae I am. But enough about us. What about you?" He asked, and she smirked.

"Tamsin. Just Tamsin. Like Prince or Madonna. My parents...well that's complicated."

"I understand dealing with family drama." He replied easily. He could tell he wasn't going to get any further with the blonde, and now wasn't the time to press for answers.

"Somehow I doubt your family drama's as hectic as Fae politics." Trick said as he walked into the room, two glasses filled with amber liquid.

"Scotch. A personal favorite. I hope you enjoy it." He said, handing Clark and Bo a glass.

"What do we drink to?" Bo asked and Clark smiled.

"To new worlds and hopefully, new friends." He said, nodding to Tamsin and Trick.

Bo and Clark each took a small sip of the scotch, smiling appreciatively.

"Thank you Trick. If it's not too much trouble, could we ask you a few questions. Tamsin and Dyson said that you know a lot about Fae." Bo said, and Trick smiled.

"I know some. What would you like to know?"

"For starters, what's the deal with the Light and the Dark? Did you have someone named Anakin as a founder of Fae society or whatever?" Clark asked, and Bo and Tamsin chuckled.

"No. The Light and the Dark fae are simply labels for the two sections of our society. We were at war for generations until a peace was finally forged. If it hadn't been…."

"Saying the world could be in danger would be an understatement." Tamsin finished quietly.

"Okay then. But if there are so many of you, how is it that you're able to stay hidden?"

"How have you stayed hidden Clark? You learned to control your abilities. That's why we have all new Fae choose a side. Once they've chosen a side, we put them in places of employment that will best benefit their side. Those like Dayson are extremely talented investigators, hence the police work. Others are doctors, lawyers or casino owners. We have people everywhere. So once someone chooses a side and is placed in a position that is best for his or her side, he or she is trained. One of the first lessons is how to live among humans and keep their feedings discrete."

Clark and Bo nodded, absorbing the information.

"I hate to interrupt, but the Morigan and the Ash have arrived." Dyson said, coming into the room.

"Thank you Dyson. Shall we?" Trick asked, leading the others out of the room and back into the main bar.

The Morigan and Ash stood in the middle of the room, Dyson and Tamsin taking their places beside the head of their respective sides.

"Good Evening." The Ash said quietly.

"Oh don't try and be pleasant. We had you brought here because you need to choose a side." The Morigan said angrily.

"As we told you yesterday, we already did choose a side." Clark said, and the Morigan waved a hand dismissively.

"Yes, yes. The humans. Don't make me laugh." She said. Several patrons in the bar laughed at the Morigan's comment.

"Our parents are human. One of our best friends is human. We don't consider this a joke." Bo said.

"Let us focus on the issue. You must choose a side. That is the only way you can be protected and ensure that you can properly benefit our society." The Ash said, and Clark rolled his eyes.

"Geez, for someone who hates humans, you're just the idiot politicians in D.C. You don't listen properly. We will not choose a side. We can protect ourselves." Clark said, and the Ash glared.

When he spoke, all politeness was gone from his voice.

"Listen boy. Never in the years since the peace was formed has anyone refused to choose a side."

"And never had I had sex until last night. Things change. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to finish our drinks and get out of here. Anything to add Bo?" Clark asked, and the Succubus shook her head.

"No. I think you covered everything perfectly. Thanks for the drink Trick. We'll be going now." Clark said, placing his drink on the bar before taking Bo's hand.

"Tamsin, stop them." The Morigan said.

"Tamsin, remember what we said? We don't want you getting hurt." Bo said without turning around.

"Everyone, please remember this is neutral ground. There is no violence here!" Trick said, and the Ash shook his head.

"I'm sorry old man. But they must choose a side. Perhaps the human will-"

"You touch her and I'll burn you to ashes." Clark said quietly, turning to face the Ash. His eyes were burning red, but his voice was cold as ice.

"Now for the last time, we will not choose a side. Can we leave or not?"

"At the very least, allow one of our Doctor's to examine you. They can tell you more about what you are." The Ash said, waving two women over.

One was a blonde whose name tag read Lauren Lewis. The other was a woman with long dark hair and brown eyes who Clark knew very well.

"Clark Kent. Why am I not surprised you got caught up in this?"

"Mrs. Luthor. I thought you were dead." He said, and the woman smiled.

"Just call me Helen Clark. And that was kind of the point. I think we've got a lot to talk about."
