Dr Gero's Final Creation

I don't own Digimon or Dragonball Z

Daisuke groaned in pain as she struggled to move her aching body. "Damn…I need a Senzu Bean and fast…" she thought just as Krillin found her.

"Daisuke!" he shouted, rushing over to his friend who looked at him and weakly smiled.

"I'm alright, do you have a Senzu Bean?" she asked, and Krillin nodded and gave one to her. She ate it and her injuries healed up. "Thank you. Where are the others, where's Goku, is he ok?" Krillin gulped and avoided her eyes until she grabbed his chin. "What happened?"

"He…he's not in good shape Dai…that Android did a number on him…" Krillin said, his eyes filling with tears. Daisuke's eyes widened before she grabbed the bag of Senzu Beans and shot off to find her husband. She found him with Azumi and Gohan holding his shirt sobbing into it.

"Goku!" she screamed, landing and running towards him.

"Mom…" Gohan whispered in between sobs.

"What happened?" Daisuke asked, frantically looking at Tien who had his head bowed.

"That Android that he fought, it was too strong and stopped his heart. He's gone…" the three-eyed warrior whispered. Daisuke gasped and looked at Goku's motionless body.

"No. This isn't happening, I won't let him die." She knelt beside her husband and placed her hand on his chest, and sent a pulse of Ki into his chest. "Come on Goku, don't you dare give up on us," she begged as she kept sending pulses of Ki into Goku's chest, hoping to restart his heart. "Goku! Goku!" she shouted over and over until she stopped sending pulses of Ki into Goku's chest and bowed her head in defeat.

The silence of the mourning family was shattered when Goku drew a shuddering breath and coughed as his eyes regained their colour. "Ow…."

"Dad!" Gohan and Azumi screamed, overjoyed and hugging their father in relief.

"Hey…what I miss?" he asked as Daisuke gave him a Senzu Bean, which healed him up before Daisuke slapped him on the back of the head hard. "Ow!"

"You idiot! You damn near gave me a heart attack when I thought you had been killed!" she screamed at him before pulling him into a tight hug. "I'm so glad you're alive."

Goku chuckled and returned the hug as Daisuke sobbed into his shoulder. "Thanks Dai, without you who knows how many times I'd be dead."

"Probably a lot more then just the time that Tambourine killed you all those years ago," Daisuke replied with a grin before her expression turned serious. "That Android you fought, was he really that strong?"

"He was. I don't know how I'm going to be able to beat him. Gero must have designed him to be able to overpower me easily," Goku answered, rubbing his wrists. "We need to get stronger."

"No kidding. What happened to Vegeta, Trunks, and Pan?" Daisuke asked the others.

"We don't know. We were more concerned with Goku when he went down to be honest, but I think the Androids beat them up too," Krillin answered. The others nodded and flew off. They found Vegeta, Trunks, and Pan all on the ground still recovering from Android 18's assault.

"Damnit," Vegeta growled angrily before wincing from the pain his broken arm was given him. He bit his tongue and reset the limb himself.

"Calm down you idiot before you make it even worse," Daisuke scolded him, tossing him a Senzu Bean which he caught and ate before he stormed off. "Where are you going?"

"After those Androids, nobody humiliates me like that!" Vegeta growled.

"If one of those Androids managed to beat you that bad, then going after all three of them is suicide. We need a plan," Daisuke said. Vegeta growled and flew off. "Fine." She glared at the prince before turning to Trunks and Pan who had been healed as well.

"You alright?" Gohan asked, helping Pan to her feet and she smiled sadly.

"I'm ok now. But even with all my training I'm still no match for them."

"Neither am I. The Androids somehow are stronger in this timeline then ours," Trunks said as he put his broken sword in the hilt slowly.

"We're going to need to train really hard if we're going to beat them," Goku said.

"I know just the place," Daisuke said with a smile, making the others look at her. "I'll be back soon, all of you find a place to rest until I get back." She took off and flew away to her destination.

"Find a place to rest. Any ideas?" Krillin asked the others.

"Capsule Corp. Maybe Bulma and her father can help us think of a way to beat the Androids," Goku answered. The others thought about the idea and nodded, lacking any better ideas. They all took off, heading to Capsule Corp.

Meanwhile, Vegeta had stopped flying and stood on a pillar of rock far from any sign of civilisation. He gritted his teeth. "Damnit…this can't be. I was the one who defeated Cooler, I'm a Super Saiyan and yet I lost to that damn Android," he thought as his anger exploded. He turned Super Saiyan and roared at the sky angrily as his energy flared out, destroying all around him. "Wait until I get my hands on those androids, I will prove once and for all that I am strongest warrior in the universe; not Kakarot, not his wife, or anyone else!"

"Sounds like Vegeta's rather pissed at getting his butt kicked by a girl," Daisuke thought, having sensed the burst of energy easily from where she was high in the sky. "There's Kami's Lookout," she thought upon seeing her destination, and she landed and saw Kami and Mr Popo speaking to one another. "Hey Kami, Mr Popo."

"Hello Daisuke, what brings you back to the lookout? I take it the battle with the Androids did not go well," Kami said solemnly.

"At first the battle went our way and we destroyed a few androids, plus Dr Gero who turned himself into an Android. But the last ones we faced proved too strong for all of us," Daisuke explained. "Will you let us use the time chamber?"

"Of course," Kami agreed. "It's paramount that you are strong enough to defeat these foes. And perhaps more lurks in the shadows…"

Sensing someone approach, Daisuke, Kami, and Mr Popo turned to see Piccolo arrive. "This is something I didn't expect."

"Yeah, don't get any ideas, I'm only here to speak to my other half," the Namekian grumbled with his arms crossed.

"I see. Well then, I'll let you talk with Kami for now." Daisuke walked off to give the two space, followed by Mr Popo.

"I know why you are here, Piccolo, it is quite strange you would come to me asking for help," Kami said.

"This is angering me enough as it is just being here, so stop digging the knife deeper." Piccolo snapped. "The Androids are stronger then any threat we've both seen. With all my training on King Kai's planet and in preparation for the Androids, it's still not enough."

"Enough? Enough for you to defeat the Androids, or enough to conquer the world?" the Guardian of Earth asked while Piccolo remained silent and turned around from Kami, refusing to admit his weakness.

At Capsule Corp meanwhile, the others had arrived and were looking for Bulma. "Bulma, hey Bulma, are you here?" Goku called out.

"Do you think she's still waiting for us back at the island where the Androids first appeared?" Krillin asked as Bulma's father walked past.

"Oh, hello everyone, looking for Bulma?" he asked.

"Uh yes sir," Trunks answered, slightly in awe of seeing his grandfather.

"Well, you'll have to wait until she gets back. She came home with Terra, all upset at being left behind, but then she got a call about something that might interest her in West Section 1050. It must have been big because she left right away," Dr Briefs explained.

"West Section 1050?" Goku asked.

"I'll go find her, and see what's so important," Trunks said.

"I'm coming too," Gohan interjected, and Trunks smiled at the young boy. Both flew off and headed to find Bulma. Soon they were flying over West Section 1050 and they began searching for Bulma. "What do you think Bulma found out here?"

"I don't know. But I have a feeling we'll find out shortly," Trunks answered. "So, I see Pan's gotten a lot stronger since she stayed behind when we arrived three years ago."

"She sure has. You must be really proud of her."

"I am. Ever since her parents were killed by the Androids, I've seen her as a little sister. She certainly acts like it." Gohan chuckled as both spotted Bulma down below, examining something that made Trunks' eyes widen. "It can't be," he whispered, heading to the ground along with Gohan. As they got closer, they saw it was the Time Machine, though this one was covered in heavy moss and plant growth.

"Bulma!" Gohan greeted as he ran towards the older woman who was wearing a jumpsuit over her normal clothes and a baseball hat.

"Hey, what're you doing here squirt?" she asked, ruffling the boy's hair.

"Your father told us you were told about something out there that caught your interest. We came to see if we could help."

"Aw, you're sweet," Bulma cooed before she looked at Trunks and smiled. "It's you again, how've you been future boy?" she asked, as Trunks blushed slightly and scratched his cheek.

"I'm good, uh so is this what you found?" he asked, looking at the Time Machine with a sense of worry.

"Yeah, it looks almost like the Time Machine you arrived in. But it's obviously been here for a while and is damaged judging by the hole in the glass," Bulma explained, pointing to the large hole in the glass canopy of the Time Machine that looked as if it had been melted from inside.

"What could have caused that kind of damage?" Gohan asked, floating up to investigate with Trunks following, and Trunks pressed a button. The canopy slowly opened, and both saw two halves of a strange shell. "Have you ever seen anything like this?" he asked Trunks, handing him a half of the shell.

"No…whatever came out of this thing is long gone," Trunks said nervously, tossing the shell down to Bulma who caught it. Trunks climbed into the machine and turned it on. "Hm, this doesn't have a lot of power left. Let's see what I can find out," he muttered, checking the databanks of the Time Machine, making his eyes go wide. "If what this says is true, then this Time Machine has been here four years, which means that three years ago when Pan and I arrived from the future to fight Frieza and his father, this thing was already here."

"But that makes no sense, I thought you were the only one with a Time Machine," Gohan said.

"That's what I thought, too. This makes no sense, could this be what changed the future and caused all those Androids to appear besides 17 and 18?" Trunks asked before both heard Bulma scream. They rushed to her side and found her shivering in fright. Both saw her staring at a giant husk that looked like a giant bug.

"That's one big cicada," Gohan muttered walking closer to the husk carefully.

"I don't think this is a cicada, it might be whatever hatched from inside that shell," Trunks said as Bulma hid behind him, clutching his arm. "But how did it get here? Was it sent back on its own, or did someone come back with the egg?" he asked, reaching inside the husk, and groaned when he pulled his hand out to see it covered in pink slime. "Whatever it is, its close." This made Bulma scream and hide behind Trunks again as he and Gohan looked around, searching for anything strange.

Kami was staring down at the Earth below, sweat dripping down his forehead. "I sense a chain of events are slowly coming into motion, Mr Popo."

"Haven't you gotten tired of standing there yet?" Piccolo asked his other half with a frown. "You know as well as I do that the only chance we have to stop the Androids is to fuse together. It's our only choice."

"We will do no such thing, not until I am sure we have no other choice. For you see, Piccolo, there is a danger brewing more cunning and vile then even the Androids. For four years I have sensed its presence as it hid waiting for the moment to strike. The day will come where I give up being the Guardian of the Earth. Then, and only then, will we become one again," Kami told Piccolo, making his other half and Mr Popo look at him in shock.

"This is ridiculous. How much longer will I have to wait?" Piccolo thought gritting his teeth. A few hours later Piccolo continued to wait for Kami to decide when Daisuke returned, looking impatient.

"Are you all done?"

"Nice to see you too," Kami replied dryly. "But I apologize for keeping you waiting."

"The old fool says something else is out there besides the Androids, but won't say what," Piccolo answered. Daisuke frowned and walked towards Kami.

"What is it, Kami?" she whispered.

"Something terrible, I'm sensing so many lives being extinguished from one place," he answered, shuddering in sheer terror.

"Where is it, tell me and I'll go to take on whatever is taking so many lives," Daisuke pleaded with the Guardian of Earth.

"Or you can fuse with me and give me your knowledge, and I'll go myself," Piccolo said. Daisuke glared at him before Kami placed his hand on her shoulder.

"It's alright, Daisuke, alone I can do little to help those down on Earth. But combined with Piccolo, we will have a chance. He may not wish to admit it, but I sense the evil within his heart is slowly diminishing, he is not what his father was all those years ago."

"But without you, the Dragonballs will be rendered useless; we need them in case something bad happens."

"You'll find a way, I have faith in you," Kami said before whispering something in her ear, and she slowly nodded.

"I understand. Goodbye Kami." She left the lookout and shot off. "Thank you for telling me where you sensed this new evil, now it's time to check it out." She increased her speed and blasted off towards her new destination. "I just hope when you and Piccolo fuse together, he'll use his powers to help us from now on. He'd be a powerful ally."

She continued flying until she landed just outside the place Kami had told her about. "Gingertown, this is the place." She looked around before walking into the city. Along the way, she saw no signs of life, only clothes that were strewn about on the ground. "What happened to all the people here? Something must have vaporised them…then why are the clothes left behind?" She picked up a shirt before she heard a noise and tensed.

She heard slow, heavy breathing and turned to look as something approached, and she frowned.

The creature before her was taller then her by a foot or two, and had a beak-like mouth rather then a traditional human like face. Two sections of its head shot off in a V-shape resembling a boomerang. Its abdominal area was a mix of orange, dark green and light green, it had two wings that were emerald green with black spots, and its exoskeleton was mostly emerald and lime green with black spots. Daisuke also noticed it had a tail with a stinger on the top, and its eyes were pink with thin reptilian slits.

"At last we meet," Daisuke said calmly, looking at the unconscious man the creature held in its hand as it chuckled. Her eyes widened as she sensed the creatures power. "This power…I've sensed it before." The unconscious man held by the creature slowly woke up and began struggling trying to escape.

"Please, you have to help me, I'm the richest man in town, I'll give you whatever you want!" he begged Daisuke, pulling out a large wad of cash. "Here take it, and there's more where that came from." Daisuke grit her teeth and glared at the creature who returned her glare.

"I suggest you let that man go, pick on someone more on your level," she told the creature, who did as she said before impaling the man with his tail. He smirked and Daisuke watched on with horror as the man slowly began to slowly be sucked into the creature's tail until nothing was left but the man's clothes and wad of cash.

"Now that we've got that vermin out of the way, you're next, Daisuke," the creature spoke, making Daisuke step back slightly.

"How did he know my name?" she thought as the creature clenched its fists and began powering up, sending all around it flying from the sheer force. "How can this be? Just what is this thing?" she thought. And at that exact same moment, the rest of the Z-Fighters were sensing several energy sources they thought were gone.

"No way, I'm sensing Frieza, but that's impossible. Daisuke killed Frieza," Goku said as he and the others were at Capsule Corp.

"I'm sensing Piccolo as well," Gohan said. "But also, Vegeta and you dad."

"And they're all coming from Gingertown, that's where all those people have been disappearing," Azumi said.

"Let's check it out," Trunks said, flying off with Tien and Krillin following him.

"We'll stay here," Goku told his kids before they flew off. "I sense Daisuke is already there, and you know your mother; she can handle herself."

"Yeah, besides we need to worry about the Androids if they decide to come to Capsule Corp," Pan pointed out.

Back in Gingertown, the creature had finished exuding its power which destroyed much of the street it and Daisuke stood on. "Alright, if you've finished showing off, how about you tell me who you are," she demanded. The creature chuckled.

"Silly Daisuke, my secrets will not be revealed so easily."

"We'll see if you still feel that way when I beat you," Daisuke replied.

"I'm going to enjoy absorbing you, Daisuke," the creature said, chuckling. Daisuke growled as her aura of Ki surrounded her before she spread her arms and sent a large dome of energy out that washed over Gingertown. She began trembling with power as she transformed into her MachGaogamon form.

"I'd like to see you try and absorb me. Now, I'll destroy you!" she told the creature, electricity arching off her body.

"I'm quite impressed, my dear, the power you're showing is extraordinary," the creature praised, practically frothing at the mouth.

"I'm glad you're impressed. And thanks to you emptying this city of innocent bystanders, I'm free to kick your ass to the best of my abilities," Daisuke said, holding her arm out, and she fired a wave of energy from her hand at the creature who crossed its arms to block, but was blown back by the attack nonetheless. Part of the city behind the creature was destroyed by the blast as well, and Daisuke smirked.

She saw a chunk of rubble move before it was blown to pieces by the creature. Daisuke shot towards it and dodged the punch the creature threw at her, and flew around it before kicking it in the back. The creature stumbled but stopped itself with its hands, and Daisuke roared as she appeared in front of the creature and aimed for its head with a kick. It jumped back and continued to do so, hoping to put ground between it and her, but Daisuke wasn't in the mood for a chase and appeared in front of the creature briefly before suddenly appearing behind it, and slamming her foot into the creature, sending it flipping through the air.

She ran after the creature and waited for it to fall right into her punch, but at the last second it stopped itself and flew into the sky. Daisuke glared at the creature, but she noticed it raise two fingers to its forehead and her eyes widened.

"Special Beam Cannon!" it shouted, firing Piccolo's attack directly at her.

"What the hell?" she whispered, swinging her arm at the attack and sending it flying off into a destroyed building, where it drilled a hole through it before creating an explosion that consumed the ruins. "How did he do Piccolo's attack, there is no way he taught that thing."

Before she could think on what she had just witnessed, the creature attacked her and they began exchanging blows. She jumped over the creature's kick and the two flew up exchanging punches. Daisuke slammed her fist into the creature's jaw as she flew past and flew back up towards it before blurring from sight when the creature tried to hit her. It looked around for Daisuke when she slammed her foot into the creature's jaw, sending it flying to the ground where it slammed into a mountain of rubble, before it got back up as Daisuke landed.

"I must admit, you're stronger then I gave you credit for, but don't let that go to your head," she told him.

"My power is impressive, but it's not my full power. I was unable to absorb enough people in this city to reach it," the creature told her.

"Your full power?" Daisuke asked before she growled. "What kind of sick twisted mind would create you?"

"You know him quite well, Dr Gero. He is my creator, in a way you and I are siblings," the creature said with a smirk.

"But how did you get here?" Daisuke asked.

"I used the Time Machine, it was too small for me in my current state, so I shrunk myself down into my larval form and concealed myself in an egg when I arrived. Quite ingenious. And there is more that you do not know," the creature told her before taking a familiar stance, making Daisuke gasp. "Ka…me…ha…me…" he whispered as a blue orb of Ki formed in its cupped hands.

"The Kamehameha…impossible," she whispered.

"HAAAAAA!" the creature screamed, firing the blue wave of energy at Daisuke who quickly vanished as the attack hit the ground, creating a large explosion, and she appeared above it and sighed in relief. "I've got you now my dear." She gasped as the creature appeared behind her and wrapped its arms and legs around her. "Soon your energy shall be mine."

"Not if I have anything to say about it," Daisuke thought, seeing the creature's tail heading for her chest. At the last moment she managed to move just enough to where her arm was hit by the stinger, and she screamed in pain.

"Resistance is futile," the creature told her as it began to drain the energy from Daisuke's arm which began going numb.

"This is bad…if I don't do something soon…this thing might drain me of all my energy," she thought. She then noticed columns of dust in the distance. "What now? Tanks…oh no, the army…what're they doing, they're going to be wiped out against this thing."

"What now? Can't the fools see that I am busy?" the creature asked begore it's eyes began flashing red until he fired lasers from his eyes down at a tank and blew it up. The rest of the tanks opened fire and began hitting Daisuke and the creature with everything they had.

"This isn't going to work," Daisuke thought as the tanks continued firing at her and the creature until they stopped, allowing the smoke to clear. The smoke dissipated and Daisuke and the creature were nowhere to be found.

"Time to take care of this little nuisance," the creature said as he had moved behind the tanks, and Daisuke growled and slammed her head back into the creature's face, breaking free.

"All of you run!" she screamed down at the soldiers before the creature fired an energy wave, and obliterated the tanks and soldiers.

"That takes care of that," the creature said. Daisuke landed on the ground, and held her arm, wincing.

"I need to buy time…until I can feel my arm again," she thought as the creature landed on the ground.

"Time's up Daisuke, with only one arm you can't hold me back much longer."

"Got that right, but before you kill me, honour my last request. Tell me, who are you?" Daisuke asked the creature who chuckled.

"Since you're dying to know my name, very well. My name is Cell, and I'm an Android just like you," the newly named Cell answered.

"Figures, that explains why you called Dr Gero your creator. But why can I sense Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Frieza's energies inside of you?"

"The good Dr Gero wished to create the ultimate fighting organism. To do so, he comprised the cells of this world's greatest fighters into one being. But he realised that doing such a complex task was far too much to complete in his lifetime. So he abandoned me to pursue other more immediate projects, but not before setting his supercomputer to complete my creation. Dr Gero gathered the cells of the mightiest heroes to ever walk the Earth. The Saiyans, Nappa, Vegeta, Gohan, Goku, and the Namekian Piccolo also were chosen. You were also selected to be a part of me. However, some cells were chosen over others in the final design, but a small piece of each of them remain," Cell explained.

"So that's how you learned the Kamehameha wave, and Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon."

"Indeed. And it just so happens that Frieza's cells were also extracted from what little was left of his organic side before he finally met his end at your hands. Trunks' DNA would also have been collected, but Dr Gero's computer concluded it had enough Saiyan DNA in my makeup." Cell said.

"And I assume that Dr Gero's tracking devices were the ones to collect the DNA, right?" Daisuke asked and Cell nodded.

"Correct, they are very small, akin to a common house fly; it would have been easy for them to collect the DNA without you noticing," he said, pointing to a tracking device hovering in the air behind him before it was obliterated by a Hadoken fired from Daisuke's good arm. "Very good, Daisuke, but a fruitless effort. The supercomputer already has enough cells to complete me back at the lab."

"The lab was destroyed, I know that much. Oh, don't tell me the computer's somewhere else." Daisuke groaned.

"In a bunker below the laboratory to be precise. And there it will remain for the next twenty-four years until I am complete in this timeline," Cell told her.

"So, there's going to be another you?" Daisuke asked. "But how did you get here, you said you used the time machine, but how?"

"You are full of questions. I suppose I can answer this last one. You see, consuming the energy of humans alone is not enough to achieve perfection. I require the powers of Androids 17 and 18," Cell explained.

"What!?" Daisuke shouted. "You mean to tell me that if you absorb those androids you'll be even stronger?"

"Indeed. But from the time I came from they no longer exist. Trunks somehow destroyed them, so the only way I could achieve perfection was to go to the past and absorb them there. I found Trunks and his time machine, and I took it from the boy after I strangled the life from his body." Cell said with a cruel smirk.

"But how did you come to this time?"

"I merely pushed the button to start the machine, the coordinates were entered already by Trunks."

"So, he's from an alternate timeline," Daisuke thought as the feeling in her arm returned, and she flexed her fingers slightly and smiled. "But why did you come here to find the Androids, weren't you the strongest person in your timeline?"

"That is true, but let us put it down to the blood of Vegeta and Frieza coursing through my veins that fuels my thirst for more power. Without the Androids I can never be complete, perfection is my goal, I must obtain my perfect form."

"Thank you for telling me all of this," Daisuke said softly with a smirk before she blurred from sight and slammed her fist into Cell's stomach, making him gag.

"You…tricked me!" he growled.

"That's right, Cell. I will never allow you to be complete, I will destroy you here and now," Daisuke told him. Cell growled and kicked Daisuke back.

"You'll have to catch me first," Cell said, flying into the sky, and Daisuke looked up as he flew in front of the sun. "Feast your eyes on my Solar Flare!" he shouted, and Daisuke's eyes widened before a bright flash of light blinded her, and she grit her teeth.

"Damn it, how did I not see that coming?" she scolded herself, waiting for the light to die down and her vision to stop blurring. "It seems he has the skills of other people as well, including Tien's Solar Flare. That coward!" she thought. Once her vision cleared she flew into the sky and began looking around, but Cell was nowhere to be seen. "Damnit!" she shouted.
