The Cell Games Begin
I don't own Digimon or Dragonball Z
The day had finally come, the Cell Games were about to begin. Daisuke, Gohan, Azumi, and Goku were flying at full speed towards Cell's arena. "Alright you three, this is it; we need to be on top of our game today. Cell won't hold back; the fate of the world is depending on us," Daisuke said, and her children and husband nodded.
"Right," they responded.
"Do you think anyone else will try to fight Cell?" Gohan asked his sister.
"Probably, I know Vegeta wants revenge, but I don't know if Cell will bother to fight him since he's already won before. And who knows what other martial artists might show up."
"For their sake they better have second thoughts, Cell wiped out the Earth's Military with one attack," Goku said with a frown.
"I thought I heard Yamcha say that some guy named Hercule Satan was going to fight Cell," Daisuke said. "Apparently he won the last Martial Arts Tournament while we were all on Namek. And he's a huge icon for people, though he also said that Cell's destruction of the military was just Cell planting bombs."
"Oh great, we're dealing with someone who doesn't use Ki and believes it's all fake?" Goku asked. "Then we'd better finish Cell off before that fool gets himself killed."
"No arguments here," Daisuke said, and soon the family landed near the arena. She looked at her two children. You two look really awesome in your new outfits." They flushed in embarrassment.
"Mom!" they whined.
Gohan now wore a black form-fitting short-sleeved shirt and black pants, with black kung fu shoes and stockings. He also wore a flowing red vest with a long backside that was secured with a blue obi tied over it at his waist, and blue armbands. Like his father he was still in his Super Saiyan form.
Azumi was in her transformed state, wearing a white bodysuit with a blue front, armoured gauntlets and boots, an armoured chest-plate that covered her chest, with a red scarf and red hip cape. After seeing what remaining in SS had been like for her brother and father, she had immediately wanted to try out staying in her own transformation.
"She's right, you two. We put a lot of effort into working out what the outfits would look like," Goku said with a smile.
"Ya mean, Bulma and I put a lot of effort into designing the outfits," Daisuke corrected, and her husband chuckled sheepishly. Daisuke then spotted a cameraman on a nearby cliff and groaned. "Great, looks like this whole thing's gonna be broadcast to the entire world."
"Of course it will be. Did you really think I would not let the world witness such an occasion?" The family turned and glared at Cell who smugly stood in the centre of his arena. "That is before I destroy this world once I have defeated all of you."
"You're going to have to get through all of us first. And let me tell you, that won't be as easy as you think," Daisuke promised, clenching her fist before she and the others saw Trunks, Pan, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, and Vegeta land nearby.
"Ah, the motley crew of heroic defenders are all here," Cell said. Before anyone could step forward to challenge Cell, a large cloud of dust was seen in the distance and soon, they saw a car that was creating the cloud of dust as it sped towards them.
"Oh no, don't tell me that idiot is actually going along with this," Daisuke muttered, holding her face in her hands as Hercule emerged from the luxury car as it stopped near the arena.
"Well, look on the bright side, at least this will be over with shortly," Goku muttered with a huge sweatdrop.
Hercule looked at Cell with arrogance and overconfidence as he walked onto the arena. "You're going down!" he shouted, pointing at Cell who simply glanced at the earthling with vague disinterest.
"Well then, let's begin. At least this will be a nice warm-up," Cell said, cracking his neck and knuckles. Hercule looked at Cell before he turned towards the cameraman and the reporter beside him, and motioned for them to come down from their vantage point which they inevitably did.
"Oh no, he's putting innocent people in the line of fire," Azumi said.
"This guy just wants more attention and popularity. It's not going to do much for him once Cell kicks his butt," Pan said with a frown.
"I'd like to offer you my condolences Cell, because you couldn't have known about me before you announced this little tournament of yours. You may think you're a champ, but you're a chump!" Hercule shouted before laughing loudly. He and the reporter began making funny faces and insulting gestures at Cell who remained silent as he waited for them to finish.
"Ya know is it bad to hope they get killed or seriously injured?" Krillin asked the others who all shared a look and then shrugged.
"I mean, a little," Yamcha interjected. "Those guys are idiots, but doesn't mean they deserve to die." They all then heard someone flying towards the arena and saw Android 16, fully repaired, land nearby.
"Android 16, what's he doing here?" Daisuke thought.
"Bulma and her father repaired that android and made it as powerful as it was before, what idiots." Vegeta thought, looking over at the android.
"Ah, Android 16, you're still alive and kicking, and with shiny new repairs no less," Cell greeted the android.
"Cell just said something to the new arrival, do you think they know each other?" the reporter asked Hercule.
"Who cares, none of these nobodies will get a chance to fight Cell anyway," Hercule answered.
"But that woman over there looks like that girl who won two world tournaments in a row, back when it was held on the old island before the entire arena was destroyed during a tropical storm," the cameraman whispered to the reporter who blinked and glanced over at Daisuke.
"Well I'm sure she's only here to spectate. She's probably past her prime anyhow." Hercule said with a smirk and Daisuke's eyebrow twitched.
"Okay if Cell doesn't kill that guy, then I will," she thought. She then saw Android 16 walking over to them. "So Bulma got you fully functional again, huh?"
"Yes, she did. Thank you, if it were not for your help I would not be here now," Android 16 said. "Are you going to fight?"
"Yeah, after Goku's fought Cell, just in case," Daisuke answered with a smile, causing Android 16 to look over at Goku, who looked back at the Android. The two slightly nodded.
"Hey! All of you idiots, clear out of here! I'm going to be the one to defeat Cell; you backwoods yahoos may not know it but I, Hercule Satan, am the undisputed martial arts champion of the world!" Hercule shouted over at them, and everyone looked at Hercule in disbelief.
"Listen here ya greaseball, if you fight Cell, you're going to be killed," Daisuke said, trying to warn him. He, the reporter, and cameraman all looked at her with dumbfounded looks before Hercule chuckled.
"Bah you're all just jealous of how amazing I am," Hercule said.
"Oh really?" Daisuke asked, and Hercule jumped off the arena. He pulled a small boulder out of the ground and smashed it to pieces with his head.
"Now who rules?!" he shouted.
"The champion of champions, Hercule Satan!" the reporter replied, and he began cheering only to stop once he saw the Z-Fighters were not impressed by Hercule's display.
"Enough of this, it's time," Cell said. "Whoever is fighting me first, step forward."
"That will be me," Hercule said as he removed his cape and smirked.
"I guess we're gonna let the loser fight first," Krillin muttered.
"It's for the best, this way it'll stop him from causing trouble for us when we try to fight after," Piccolo said. "Besides, we can wish him back with the Dragonballs if he dies."
"While I'm tempted to just let this happen, we should probably do something about this," Daisuke muttered. In a flash of speed, she vanished and reappeared in the same location. At the same time, Hercule stumbled, his eyes rolling up into his head, and he fell to the ground unconscious from a light hit to the back of his neck. "I guess it's our turn," Daisuke said sardonically, glancing at the horrified reporter.
"Now then, Goku do you wish to fight me?" Cell asked, ignoring the events that had just occurred, and Goku stepped onto the arena.
"Don't you die on me Goku," Daisuke said, and her husband smiled at her before he stood in front of Cell and readied himself for the battle.
"Alright Kakarot, it's time to see what you can do," Vegeta thought watching his rival closely.
"I've been waiting for this. Killing the helpless has grown boring; I want to fight you while I test the limits of my new body," Cell said to Goku.
"It's time to see why Goku's been acting so confident this entire time," Trunks thought.
"Show him what you can do grandpa," Pan said softly to herself.
"He's standing in front of Cell like it's just another day at the beach," Krillin marvelled.
Goku tensed before he shot towards Cell and the two exchanged a short flurry of blows. Goku tried to kick Cells head, but the Android ducked and went to sweep at Goku's legs. The Saiyan jumped and flipped away from Cell, then charged back towards his opponent. The two began exchanging punches and kicks until both landed a direct hit on the other, knocking them both back.
"Hm not a bad start," Cell commented with a smile, which Goku returned.
"Their power level is almost equal," Android 16 said, making the others look at the android before looking back at the two fighters.
"Almost equal? I don't like the sound of that," Azumi said with concern. Cell charged Goku who jumped above his attack, and everyone that weren't the Z-Fighters or Android 16 looked up and gawked in shock when Goku vanished from their sight.
Cell stood up and looked around before he easily blocked several punches and kicks that appeared out of nowhere, before he turned and kicked Goku in the chest as the Saiyan reappeared, sending him skidding back. Goku charged Cell who crossed his arms to block the punch, only for him to see Goku phase through his body and then vanish.
"Afterimage!?" he thought before the real Goku punched him in the chest, sending him skidding back to the edge of the arena. Goku kicked Cell, knocking him into the air, but as he was about to touch the ground, Cell stopped and floated back onto the arena as Goku jumped back. "Sorry, but did you think it would be that easy?"
"Of course not. I knew from the start you wouldn't let yourself lose like that," Goku answered.
"It's only because you're not fighting me seriously," Cell said.
"Neither are you."
"Little by little I shall reveal the perfect power that lies within me."
"Bring it on." Goku and Cell both got ready for the next phase of their fight.
"As a Saiyan fighting is all you live for. So far, you've not disappointed me," Cell told Goku before charging. Goku ducked under a kick before both he and Cell vanished from view again.
"Where'd they go?" the reporter stuttered out as he took off his glasses and wiped them as if they were dirty. "They're so fast…I've never seen anyone move like this before…" he stuttered out as Goku and Cell appeared then disappeared all over the arena as they continued their battle, while Daisuke and the others were easily able to follow the fight.
"So the fool thinks that's fast, wait until he sees me fight," Vegeta thought before Goku and Cell appeared behind them all, and Goku rained down punches as Cell blocked them all before they vanished again. The two appeared above the arena before Goku kicked Cell in the gut, sending him flying back. Goku appeared behind the Android and elbowed Cell down towards the arena before he dived down at Cell. Both hit the arena, kicking up debris as they kept fighting.
"Something's not right," Gohan whispered as Azumi and Daisuke looked at him and nodded.
"Yeah, Goku's not taking this fight seriously," Daisuke muttered, watching as Cell punched Goku who crossed his arms and kept blocking punches as he slowly skid towards the edge of the arena.
"So that's it, Cell and Kakarot are simply having sport with one another," Vegeta thought as Cell went to punch Goku, only for his punch to phase through Goku who vanished, and Cell smirked and looked over his shoulder at Goku who was in the centre of the arena.
"Oh you're good." He charged Goku who blocked the assault, and let his feet skid across the arena floor for a while before he fell down and kicked Cell into the air, and Goku jumped up after him.
"Kamehameha!" he shouted, firing his signature blue energy blast up at Cell who swung his hand deflecting the blast away. Goku appeared behind Cell and punched him in the back, making him growl in pain before backhanding Goku, then hitting him with a double axe-handle, sending him towards the arena only for Goku to land on one knee, cracking the tiles beneath him.
"Alright, that was enough of a warm-up," Cell said, landing on the arena once again. "He's unlike the other fighters, his battle instincts make this most intriguing," he thought.
"He's just as strong as I imagined. I have to be on edge, one slip and it's all over," Goku thought before he flared his Ki and a golden aura flared around him, kicking up dust and rubble.
"That's it, Goku, show that freak what you can do," Daisuke thought with a smile as the ground began shaking from how much energy Goku was building up, before he let our a loud roar as a gust of wind blew the cameraman and reporter.
"That's it, show me what a true Super Saiyan can do," Cell thought as Goku's body began pulsing with energy. Cell smirked and he roared, beginning to glow with energy, and another huge gust of wind blew the cameraman and reporter away while the others all struggled to remain in place except Daisuke, Gohan, and Azumi.
"Now, Dad," Gohan said softly.
"Looks like it's a standoff. The two are going to fight at full power," Krillin said.
"Your move," Cell said, and Goku smirked before he shot towards Cell with a punch to the gut, kicking him in the jaw before appearing behind Cell and punching him in the back, sending him into the ground, and he then stopped himself from crashing into one of the four large corner posts around the arena. He floated upside down briefly as blood trickled from his mouth. "Splendid, Goku, since our powers are almost equal it should make for an interesting contest."
"Count on it," Goku replied.
"At last I've seen Kakarot's true power, but how did he get so strong?" Vegeta thought as he trembled in anger.
"Dad's going to win. This is what he's been training for," Gohan thought with a smile. Goku and Cell charged once again, exchanging blows; Goku tripped Cell and went to punch him, only for Cell to vanish. He vanished himself in a burst of speed to avoid a punch from Cell, and the two continued to clash around the arena, appearing briefly ever now and again. Goku was punched in the gut by Cell, making him cough up saliva before he then kicked Cell in the head, sending him spinning away. They clashed knee to knee and fist to fist before Goku was knocked back to the edge, but he landed and charged back towards Cell who kicked him in the jaw. He smirked only for Goku to suddenly appear with a right hook to Cell's jaw, sending him skidding across the arena again.
"Hey, did you get all that?" the reporter asked the cameraman.
"No way, I'm only human, how am I supposed to shoot them when they move that fast?" the cameraman answered.
"Hm…I see your point." the reporter replied. Cell got to his feet and began to chuckle until it turned into full blown laughter.
"I've got a surprise for you. Multi-Form!" he told Goku, shocking all of the Z-Fighters.
"No way," Tien whispered as Cell split into four copies of himself. "He used my technique."
"What do you think of these odds Goku?" the four copies of Cell asked the Saiyan before they all laughed.
"Oh, this is bad." Krillin said.
"Don't worry, remember, Goku fought Tien when he used this technique before. That means Goku knows how to beat this move," Daisuke said, remembering how Goku beat Tien when he used the technique due to the power of the original being split amongst the copies.
"Yeah, but that was back when we were all younger and a whole lot weaker," Krillin said as the four copies of Cell flew around the arena before each stood in one of the four corners.
"This trick won't work on me," Goku told Cell.
"We'll see about that!" the four shouted, charging Goku who began blocking their strikes effortlessly, though a few hits got in due to the numbers advantage they did little to harm Goku.
"To think one of my techniques is being used to beat up my friend," Tien growled.
"Goku has more power then the four copies of Cell combined," Android 16 informed them all, and sure enough Goku began to easily overpower the four copies of Cell until all four stood in the corners again.
"Well done, I see that your fighting skills keep improving," one of the Cells said.
"I try."
"Oh but this match isn't over yet." All four copies held their fingers to their foreheads. "You have no idea what I have in store for you yet."
"That's the…" Gohan whispered.
"Yeah, it's my technique," Piccolo said.
"Special Beam Cannon!" the four Cells shouted, firing the attack at the same time towards Goku, only for him to dodge as the four beams collided, creating a flash of light. He flew into the air with the four copies behind him, and he smirked.
"Right this way," Goku said before he turned around and began to attack the copies one by one, sending them all falling back to the arena on top of each other. "Pull yourself together." The four copies re-joined into one Cell.
"Nice work," Daisuke said to her husband as he landed on the arena. "But don't let your guard down, Cell isn't out of it yet." He nodded before Cell shouted.
"Destructo Disk!" a pink and red saucer blade of energy flew towards Goku who dodged it, and it flew past everyone before crashing into the ground nearby.
"Hey, that's my move!" Krillin shouted in shock as Cell threw another disk at Goku who began dodging the disk, but it continued to follow him. "But that part is new," Krillin muttered as Cell moved his hands around to control the attack while Goku kept flying around to avoid it.
"Hm, try avoiding two!" Cell shouted as he launched another Destructo Disk at Goku, and the two disks cut through him only for him to vanish. "What? It went right through him," he muttered before sending both disks at Goku only for them both to cut into Goku who vanished again.
"There's no way you can beat me with your stolen tricks, now give up," Goku said, having appeared behind Cell who turned to face him.
"Not yet. It's only over when I say it's over. Now then, why don't I show you a move that is probably a bit closer to your heart?" Cell asked before he pulled his hand back and Daisuke's eyes widened.
"No…he's not…"
"Kamehadoken!" Cell shouted as he fired a large and powerful golden beam of energy directly towards Goku whose eyes widened before he flew into the air forcing Cell to make the beam follow him.
"Hope this works," Goku thought as he placed his fingers to his forehead and vanished just as the beam caught up to him and continued into space. He appeared behind Cell and kicked the android away, sending him across the arena, and both combatants glared at each other.
"That was too close for you to dodge, how did you do that?" Cell questioned.
"A new technique I've learned, and that is all you need to know," Goku answered.
"You know it is not nice to keep secrets."
"Well you're just lucky I made you divert the blast so it wouldn't destroy the Earth."
"Maybe so, but I don't care about this planet or it's people. But without it, there would be no one around to kill," Cell said as he vanished and appeared beside Goku, and he struck with an elbow to his jaw followed by another punch. Goku jumped into the air to try and get away, but Cell appeared behind him and knocked him back down to the arena. When Goku looked around trying to see Cell again, he couldn't!
"He's increased his speed, I can't follow his movements."
"Goku, six o'clock!" Daisuke shouted just as Cell reappeared behind Goku, allowing him to turn and block the punch only to be sent skidding back by a kick to the gut.
"I do believe the advantage now lies with me," Cell said before he and Goku continued their fight.
"Goku has lost his advantage," Piccolo thought watching the fight silently. "Cell's speed is nearly at what Daisuke's fully transformed speed is."
"Come on Goku, you can do it," Daisuke thought as flashes of Goku and Cell appeared rapidly around the arena only with clouds of dust from the impacts of each missed strike.
"Try harder, Dad, I know you can do it," Gohan thought as Goku blocked another punch from Cell only to be punched in the jaw when Cell struck again, and Cell began rapidly punching him in the face until he went for a gut punch only for Goku to dodge it and kick Cell into the air. Everyone looked up as Goku appeared above Cell and went to punch only for Cell to dodge it again. He appeared above Goku and the two continued vanishing as the other tried to hit them.
"They vanished, where did they go?" Krillin asked. Meanwhile Cell was hit in the gut by a knee from Goku before he then vanished and punched Goku, sending the Saiyan back through the air, and both fighters panted slightly.
"Not a bad fight, Goku, perhaps you are worthy of fighting someone of my supreme stature."
"Oh boy, I'm honoured."
"Too bad not all the fights will be like this."
"You've clearly overestimated yourself and underestimated us. You've not fought Daisuke yet, and she's grown a lot stronger since you were in your semi-perfect form," Goku informed him.
"Then I look forward to crushing her once I've defeated you." The two then clashed again, creating a sonic boom when their strikes collided, and the two became blurs as they dashed around the sky, the cameraman having trouble trying to keep the camera focused on them.
Goku charged and kicked Cell in the jaw, sending him flying back before four copies of Cell appeared around Goku who dived down towards the arena, and the Cells grabbed Goku and formed back into a single Cell as they hit the arena. The fight continued with Goku being pushed to the edge several times until he dodged one of Cell's attacks, and with a kick nearly knocked Cell off the arena until he vanished, and the two kept fighting fiercely before both were hit at the same time, and both nearly fell out of the ring before they both flew into the air again.
"You almost fell out of the ring, had you done so I would have won this little match of ours. Shall I make things easier for you?" Cell asked, holding out his hand. "I've grown tired of following my own rules anyway, so you might tell the others to get out of the way." He began to form a large green orb of energy in his palm. "Now there shall be no more rules."
"Everyone, get away from the ring!" Daisuke shouted as she saw what Cell was going to do, and she grabbed her kids and blurred from sight with the others all flying away as Cell fired the Ki blast down at the ring, obliterating it and leaving a gigantic hole in the earth.
"Whoa…too close…" Azumi whispered as she, Gohan, and Daisuke reappeared safe and sound while the others landed.
"I think it's time you guys get the hell out of here!" Daisuke shouted over at the cowering Hercule (who had surprisingly regained consciousness at some point), reporter, and cameraman who all whimpered in fear.
"How do you like this, now the whole desert is our ring. Let's say the last one standing wins the game," Cell said as he and Goku landed on the ground.
"So, a fight to the finish?" Goku asked.
"Would you have it any other way?" Cell answered as he and Goku readied themselves for the final phase of their battle.
