[A/N after the chapter with clarifications for last chapter]
Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail - Hiro Mashima does.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?"
"Why wouldn't it be?" Lucy asked, tilting her head as a sign of confusion.
Rogue sighed, Lucy wouldn't think this twice, that's what he's sure of.
Apparently, Lucy thought it would be a great idea to have a party that would involve both Fairy Tail and Sabertooth. Sting and the rest thought it would be awesome, thus, agreeing on the spot. Everyone but Rogue thinks it is. Oh no, not because he's a kill joy, but because he's rational enough to think it would be catastrophic.
"...Nevermind." He pinched the bridge of his nose, defeated as he can't say no to that face.
The blonde mage grinned for she got the approval of everyone in Sabertooth. She already informed Master Makarov prior to their conversation which the latter agreed to.
"Where would it take place?"
"At Fairy Tail, of course! If you don't mind having your guild hall destroyed in a span of 30 minutes, then we can do it here."
Rogue snorted, 30 minutes' a stretch. He's going to bet it would only take 10 minutes to completely turn the whole guild to pieces.
"I assume Sting's already aware of the details?" Rogue received an excited nod in return.
"Yup, he's all fine with everything! All we need to do is to prepare the food since Master Makarov said they'll be doing the decoration and of course, they'll be in charge of the alcohol. Or Cana in particular is."
The man only nodded and proceeded to follow the blonde to the kitchen as they start to prepare for every food they'll be cooking. Minerva's having a hard time keeping Sting out of the vicinity of the kitchen area so Orga's keeping him busy. Rufus, Orga, Dobengal, and some Sabertooth members were in charge of buying every ingredients they need while the girls and some other Tigers are in charge of the cooking. Sting made some of the Tigers help out in decorating at Fairy Tail; hence, everyone's busy for the party.
They were busy preparing when a rather worn out Orga appeared.
"What happened to you?" Minerva raised an eyebrow.
"Sting's such a pain in the ass I have to electrocute the shit out of him to make him shut up."
All that heard his reason nodded in understanding. He really is a pain in the ass.
"You should've locked him in the office. Once he wakes up he'll be extra annoying." Rogue suggested as he put the ingredients in a pot.
"Oh right, be back." The big guy hurriedly went back to lock Sting up.
The mages laughed, seeing as though everyone's having a great time, except Sting, that is.
"Are you sure he's okay?" Lucy asked, putting all the finished food in a huge bag.
"He is, Lucy. It's Sting we're talking about." Minerva snickered as she tasted the food she was still cooking. "All set! Let's pack these babies up."
The whole guild packed their stuff and proceeded to travel to Lucy's beloved some time, huge doors greeted them.
"Guys, just stand on the sides. We don't want anyone being knocked down before the actual action starts, do we?" A chorus of agreement, and shuffling of places happened. Deeming it to be safe, Lucy pushed the doors with much force needed. "Hello, everyone!"
The whole Fairy Tail cheered for Lucy and started to welcome each and every member of Sabertooth. After some moments, Makarov jumped to the highest platform and clapped loudly—loud enough to gather the noisy mages' attention.
"Brats! I would like to congratulate both Fairy Tail, Sabertooth, and even Lamia Scale for cultivating a harmonious relationship between guilds which would benefit not only the concerned parties, but of the whole alliance between light guilds. Without further ado, let's start the party!" The master's voice boomed. He was replied with deafening cheers and shouts. Really, these mages are too lively.
Hours passed and one by one, the mages from different guilds slumped on a position—too wasted to even move. Freed was even tasked to set up specified runes to ensure the safety of the guild hall. No buildings will be damaged, not tonight.
The blonde mage leaned towards Rogue, too intoxicated to think straight. Her arms slowly made way towards enveloping the man. Nervously, he tried to pry the lady's arms but to no avail. She has a vice-grip on his torso in the moment.
"…Lucy, wake up."
"Nn… Do-Don't wannaaaa. Hug Rogue-y only." Like a baby, she began to wiggle closer to the raven haired man. Finding his body heat too comfortable to let go, "…I…I like Rogue-y. Smells soooo nice." With a wavering voice, Lucy immediately slumped dead on Rogue.
Rogue froze, blooding rushing to his face. 'S-smells nice?' After some moment, he immediately recovered, covering his face to hide the blush that adorned his face. 'This girl…' For a dragon slayer with sensitive noses, being told that they smell nice is such a nice compliment; though she unknowingly confessed this, it's all the same.
Gingerly, he disentangled himself from Lucy's arm. He carried her in a nearby unoccupied bench and placed the celestial mage. 'Too light… Is she even eating right?' Yes, contrary to popular belief, Lucy is lighter than she looks. Carrying her is not much trouble for the dragon slayer.
Lucy shifted in her sleep, patting the empty side looking for some warmth. Sensing Rogue's arm, she unconsciously grabbed him and pulled the dragon slayer hard. Before he can slam to her chest, Rogue used his free arm to anchor it—saving both of them the pain of an otherwise unpleasant incident. Lucy remained unconscious, as intoxicated as every remaining mage in the hall.
Sensing as the people around them were off to la la land, Rogue released the breath he didn't know he held, 'Really, this girl will be the death of me.'
Lucy shifted again to her side, letting Rogue regain composure. She mumbled to herself, otherwise inaudible if not for his sharp hearing, "I… like you… Rogue."
Another wave of blood crept on his face, blushing harder than he had earlier. 'L-Like?!'
And before anyone can even sense, the raven haired mage flew to the nearest comfort room.
Lucy, on the other hand, remained peacefully sleeping – dreaming of her two equally amazing families.
[A/N]: I'm sorry if the last chapter came as confusing, I wasn't able to explain why Yukino was there. During the exchange mage program the participating mages can visit their guild for a day within the whole event. Yukino came home that day. Lucy, however, don't go home to Fairy Tail voluntarily for the reason Team Natsu won't let her leave, plus she was able to see them during the past chapters.
Stuff happens, and with that, I can't write for a long time – not because I don't want to, but I was having a major writer's block and I had no will to do anything. Apologies for that. Thank you for those who continue to read this.
Because of the lockdowns all over the world, please stay at home and keep safe!
