Sorry I have been not updating... Trying to get better at that.
Anyways, here's were we left off last chapter. :)
What does Blaine's parents want? You will have to read to find out. ;)
The song is "Without You" from Rent. Fun fact: This is the song that inspired this whole idea in the first place. And where I got the title from. :D

Chapter 20
"C'mon boys! Hurry up!"
"Daaad!" Blaine whined, walking with Sebastian, "You do realize we can't move very fast."
"Yeah, yeah." Steven said, sitting on his plush Ottoman. "And I realize I have to get back to the office, so let's make this quick." By that point, the boys reached the living room, an expanse of antiques, wonderfully comfortable furniture, and a fabulous wet bar. "Sit."
The boys sat together on the silk sofa. Sebastian took a little longer to sit down but he managed. Blaine started to fuss a little until the pregnant boy slapped his hand away. That got a little chuckle from Steven and that's when the boys noticed that Blaine's mom Joanna was sitting across the room. She had a slightly critical look in her eyes as she looked at Sebastian. Her brown hair hung on a side ponytail and she remained silent. Despite the look on her attractive face, she eyed the boys carefully.
Blaine and Sebastian's eyebrows furrowed instantly and returned their gaze to Steven.
"I'm going to make this short and sweet." Steven began with an air of authority. He glanced at his wife and nodded to her. She returned it and he looked at Sebastian with the power of a father. "Sebastian, this is what's going to happen." He cleared his throat and the poor pregnant boy ignored another darting pain in his abdomen.
"Sebastian?" Steven began. "We are adding you to our health insurance."
The boy's eyes widened even more. "But-!"
"No buts! You're going on our insurance. You probably need prenatal vitamins and I know that yoga helped Blaine's mother." He wiggled forward on the chair. "And let me tell you something else, Sebastian."
The boy gulped. "Y-yeah?"
Steven folded his hands together on his lap, clearly pained by what he was about to say. "You can stay here."
"But-!"
"No buts, Sebastian! You have to understand that every teenager deserves a home, especially a pregnant one." Steven stood up. "Now, all I need is your social security number and your date of birth and I'll get your insurance and place of residence updated."
"But-!"
"No buts!" Steven all but yelled, walking towards the hallway. He looked over his shoulder. "Welcome to Ander-xanadu!" And with that, he left.
For the first time, Joanna smiled, a sharp contrast to her behavior before. "He's right, Sebastian. You should have a home. You and…" she scratched her head and looked away, "Your…LITTLE ONE has a right to live."
Abruptly, she left. Joanna wouldn't even look at them as she walked. That left Blaine and Sebastian staring off into space. No one could really say anything and thoughts drifted towards the future. Finally, Blaine looked over at Sebastian, who had an interesting smile on his face.
"Sebastian?" Blaine asked. "Does this surprise make you happy?"
The pregnant boy's smile faded just a little. "I guess."
"Then…why are you smiling?"
Sebastian struggled to a standing position and slapped Blaine's hand away again. "I'm just trying to think of something…"
"Oh?" Blaine asked, standing up beside him. "What?"
Sebastian looked at him and smirked. "I'm wondering what your parents would like to eat for dinner tonight. I'm starving!"
Blaine watched him walk out of the room and reluctantly shook his head. Sebastian didn't even get a chance to thank Blaine's parents. And yet, it didn't seem to matter. So Blaine just walked through the room and followed Sebastian towards the kitchen.
.
Shakespeare said that the world is a stage. It seemed ridiculous to Sebastian as he paced on the stage of the auditorium. The lights were low and he could easily pace in an oval-shape, like a picket line. He could easily avoid the piano and there was an interesting serenity that he felt. Despite occasional pains, he found walking could help…until his feet hurt. And ankles. And lower back. Plus, it was getting more and more difficult to hide his pregnancy. It's not like it was a complete secret anymore, but he just didn't want the attention from classmates.
Near the piano was the conductor's stand. He stepped up and stood there like he owned the place. Sebastian even clasped the little baton and conducted a symphony in the air. A wry smile on his face, he realized his folly and dropped it back where it was.
He sighed. He sighed yet again. Sebastian looked around and realized that he was still completely alone in the auditorium. He turned and looked into the seating area. Sebastian didn't see anyone and wished he did. Sure he had come to this area because it used to make him happy. And he so desperately wanted to feel that way. But instead, he was alone.
Alone.
All alone in a big world where life is a stage and you never feel like you belong. And when you're a pregnant male, you're one in a million. How could you really belong…anywhere?
He slowly turned and faced the stage. Sebastian stepped down and began pacing again. He sighed. He sighed again. Finally frustrated, he considered leaving. But the real world was just too complicated and the arts have a way of letting you release what you want, what you need, and what makes you whole. Sebastian took a deep breath, held it, and then began to sing –
Without you, the ground thaws, the rain falls, the grass grows.
Without you, the seeds root, the flowers bloom, the children play.
The stars gleam, the poets dream, the eagles fly, without you.
The earth turns, the sun burns, but I die, without you.
Without you, the breeze warms, the girl smiles, the cloud moves.
Without you, the tides change, the boys run, the oceans crash.
The crowds roar, the days soar, the babies cry, without you.
The moon glows, the river flows, but I die, without you.
The song ached out of his mouth and Sebastian's pitch failed as he went along. The spoiled brat just wasn't used to this level of tension, this angst that held him in check, and the awful, awful truth of his life. He whined through the lyrics with the pain of life and love, completely oblivious to a letterman-clad person standing in the back.
Sebastian just kept singing. He never departed from his oval-shaped pacing on the stage and realized that he gradually felt better. The arts can be so wonderful in this way – no alcohol, no drugs, no illegal activity. Just the idea that words and song can be your outlet and once that's done, you can do it whenever you need. And Sebastian was no stranger to this.
As he performed on stage, the lyrics' meanings became more and more poignant. Seb's back was to the empty audience and he didn't even hear the footsteps approaching the stage. Instead, Sebastian had his arms extended, singing about lost love and how every single possible thing in this world ends when love is gone.
Sebastian twirled back towards center stage and immediately froze. His voice echoed throughout the auditorium, dying near the back. He stared into the intense eyes of David Karofsky and they seemed locked there in that time and space. Sebastian was panting and a darting pain shot through his abdomen. He gave no indication that it was there, favoring the fiery look in Dave's eyes.
Suddenly, Dave marched right up to Sebastian, grabbed his face, and kissed him hard! Seb jolted at the pressure for just a moment, trapped in Dave's embrace. Then, they fell into the kiss immediately. Sebastian's arms found their way around Dave's neck and remembered just how incredible this felt. Dave's head shifted and his tongued begged for entry. The smaller boy didn't seem to have a choice and Dave's hands tightened on Seb's face.
The kiss lingered and almost hurt with passion. Dave still didn't really relax his grip as his tongue finally found entry. Sebastian moaned and Dave let his hands roam all over Seb's back. Neither boy was coming up for any real air and they didn't care. They were cocooned in their world of confusing passion, where when you throw caution to the wind, you momentarily don't care about repercussions.
Finally, finally, Sebastian was the one to pull back first. He stared up into the closed eyes of David Karofsky, who pursued Seb's lips one more time. But when he opened his eyelids, he stared with a blank expression on his face. Neither boy knew what to say then. So, hands massaged backs, eyes probed faces, and gradually, their bodies relaxed.
Dave took a brave step forward and pulled Sebastian's body flush against his. Again, Seb yelped a little in surprise but didn't fight him off. Instead, he fell into the lineman's chest and rested his head there. If they smiled, they didn't let each other know.
But someone smiled. Someone was watching them from afar.
Dave caressed Sebastian's back a few more times before swinging his big hands over Seb's belly. There, he very softly massaged at least ten times and Sebastian had to admit the sensation was wonderfully soothing and relaxing. They still weren't looking at each other. No. Instead, they were two dumb teenage boys who realized that life just isn't always fair.
"I…love…you…" Dave whispered.
The stranger left. Sebastian looked up at him and didn't quite believe his ears. But once again, there was that incredible intensity and the pregnant boy knew Dave was absolutely serious. And Sebastian wasn't prepared. So, Sebastian did what he knew to do best, what he always did in situations like this.
He walked away.
