Disclaimer: Iown nothing except my imagination and the kids names.

A/N: I'm really sorry I haven't updated this before but I simply didn't have time to write in the past months but I managed to find a bit of time to do this now, enjoy.

Matt was sitting in the living room with his legs propped up against the table, Gabby's head in his lap. She closed her eyes as he moved his fingers through her hair, gently grazing her scalp. She loved it when they could enjoy some quiet time like that in the evening and since the baby had started kicking, she loved lying down on the couch with him, her pants lowered just under her belly so she could see the waves it created.

"You know." She opened her eyes and looked up at Matt, who was looking at her with a soft smile on his lips.

"We haven't taked about baby names or where we're going to do the nursery, I know babe." They had meant to talk about that is the past weeks but never gotten to that on the count that Matt had been injured and Gabby had gotten the pregnancy scare.

"We have to talk about it Matt, time is running out." She pushed herself from her position so she could sit, facing him, her legs under her.

"I know. We need to figure out which two kids will get the basement first, I was thinking maybe the two boys."

"Actually, I was going to say the girls should get the two rooms in the basement." When Matt gave her a doubtful look, she felt good to elaborate. "The girls are growing fast and their bodies will start changing Matt so I think that it's important that they get their own space."

"Have I ever told you how much I love you?" He cupped her cheeks and leaned in for a soft kiss.

"I love you too baby." She smiled into the kiss.

"I mean it Gabby. From day one, you've been my voice of reason. The girls have taken to you and you've been so good to them and you've guided them and I know that they'll become strong independant women with you looking over them."

"You're really trying to kill me by talking like that." The tears were already gathering in her eyes by the time he wad done talking. "Damn hormones." They both chuckled as Matt stopped a lone tear from making it to her cheek with his thumb.

"I'm just telling the truth." She simply grunted in response.

"How do you think the girls will like the idea? I know how close they are." Gabby had read a lot about twins when she had trouble with the boys when they were younger and knew that seperating twins were sometimes hard.

"We just have to talk to them and I think that they'll be ok. Plus, the rooms are one next to the other one so they won't be that far from each other."

"Ok." She smiled at him, snuggling in his side again. "And do you still want to find out the sex?"

"Are you having second thoughts?" He looked at her.

"No." She smiled at him. "I want to know what baby Casey will be because I know you and I know that you'll want to make that room perfect for the baby."

"You know me so well." He cupped her cheeks and planted a sweet kiss on her lips. "Do you have a date for the ultrasound or not yet?" He had been working so much lately that he was worried that he had missed that particular piece of information.

"I should have the call in the next few days. Don't worry babe, you didn't forget anything." She smiled at him.

"I was scared there for a second. How about we head upstairs so I can rub those sore muscles you try to hide from me all the time?"

"Matt, I'm fine." She insisted but he wasn't buying it.

"Come on, up you go." He stood from the couch and offered her his hand to help her to her feet. "I don't want to hear another word Mrs Casey." She simply giggled at the formal title but she let him help her without complaining. They went up the stairs, Matt's hands on her hips and he helped her in bed.

"The pain isn't that bad Matt." She was starting to protest but he was having nothing of it.

"But there's still pain baby. Just relax and I'll try to pull all of those ache's out." He kissed her shoulder.

"Fine." A small hiss escaped her lips as Matt pressed a thumb to her shoulder blade.

"Not that bad huh?" The more he kept pressing, the more she would grunt or moan. When he made his way down to her lower back, a soft moan escaped her lips.

"Yeah, right there." Matt didn't put extra pressure but kept moving around her lower back.

"So." He kissed her bare shoulder. "Do you ever wonder what we're going to have?"

"Would I be selfish if I said I wanted a little boy with your eyes?" Matt's hands still on her hips.

"No." He kissed her neck. "Just as long as it's healthy, I don't have a preference." Matt lied down and gently pulled her to him, wrapping his arouns around her, his left hand resting on her bump.

"I want to be able to look in his eyes and see the hope his father gave me, the love he showed me and the endless possibilities of dreaming big." She ran her fingers trough his hair.

"I wouldn't be able to do all of that without his mom. You're the one who makes me want to be a better man, a better husband and a better father."

"And he's a very sexy husband." She pried herself from his arms and straddled him.

"Is he now?" He pulled her to him so he could kiss her. "Is that your new pregnancy craving? He dared asking, not that he would complain if it was.

"Oh, I don't need to be pregnant to crave you." She pressed her body into his and kissed him again, harder this time. His hands slipped under her shirt as he deepened it but they were quickly interrupted by a swift kick.

"Looks like someone isn't enjoying this." He pressed his forehead to hers, feeling another kick against his abs.

"Just when I thought we had the evening to ourselves." She groaned.

"Come on, let's get baby Casey in bed." He chuckled as she took her place next to him, placing a hand on his chest.

"It is pretty late and you do have shift in the morning Captain Casey." She smiled proudly at him.

"I hope I won't let them down." He linked his fingers through hers.

"You are a hard working, honest man Matt. You could never let any of us down." She promised him.

"Thank you for having so much confidence in me." He gave her a peck on the lips.

"Thank you for being you." She simply said as she settles her head against his chest, letting his heartbeat lull her to sleep.

The next morning, it was business as usual. Gabby and Matt took care of the kids together before they put them all in the van and Gabby took them to school white Matt headed towards the firehouse.. He walked in and the bustle of shift invaded his senses, washing over him. He dropped his bag in his office and headed to the conference room where the rest of the guys were already seating.

"Welcome back Captain." Herrmann smiled at him.

"It's good to be back." It was his first shift since his accident.

"Quiet down everyone." They all looked at Boden as he walked into the room but they were quickly interrupted by the bells calling them back to attention, everyone heading for their rigs.

"It's good to have you back Casey." Severide clapped his back. Matt smiled at him and hopped into the front seat of 81, ready to take on Chicago again.

A/N: Ok so I know it's a bit shorter than what I'm used to putting out there but I wanted Matt and Gabby to be able to have a moment with the baby and talking about the future since they hadn't been able to because of the pregnancy scare and the accident. As always, please take a few seconds to review before you go, your thoughts are important :) - Sarra
