Last Time: A year before Naruto returned to the Leaf Village from his training trip with Jiraiya, he told the story of a certain person he encountered, and how he got his sword. Meanwhile Naruto was fighting for a girl names Tsuki, Sakura was given the mission to take care of Konohamaru, Udon, and Moegi on a team mission when she became a Chunin, but soon she would have to deal with the kidnapping of Konohamaru. Will Tsuki reveal her true identity to Naruto, and will Sakura save Konohamaru?

(Story Begins)

(Location: Forest, Specific Location: With Naruto, Jiraiya And Tsuki)

At night, over a camp fire, sat Tsuki, who sat on a lone log by herself, while Naruto and Jiraiya sat on one log across from her direction behind the fire.

"I'm sorry Naruto-Kun. My name isn't Tsuki Ikihsihcs as I said when we introduced each other…" The little girl apologised regretfully. "My true name is Tsuki, but it is Tsuki Chishiki…" She said in sadness. "The daughter of the Fire Daimyo himself…".

"Huh…." Naruto gave a dumbfounded expression, as he processed everything Tsuki had said before he suddenly started yelling. "WHAAAT?!".

Tsuki nodded to Naruto, who gave a simple yet confused expression to the daughter of the Fire Lord. "Hang on, if you're the Daimyo's daughter, how comes I haven't heard she was missing?!" Naruto exclaimed.

"If news ever reached that the daughter of the Fire Daimyo himself was missing, all of our enemies would take advantage of the situation and kidnap her." Jiraiya explained. "Although, I guess it never mattered considering that perhaps, within the Fire Palace, some of guards of the Daimyo might be spies. That is how I believe those guys from before knew you were the Daimyo's daughter.".

Naruto looked at Tsuki with an unbelievable look. He couldn't believe he met the Daimyo's daughter, let alone grab her hand, or even grope her breasts…

In fact, it was his Naruto had grown very worried if not terrified meeting Tsunade once his trip was over. He could see the anger in her eyes already after having her own ass scolded by the Daimyo of the country, beating the crap out of Naruto. Even Jiraiya would do nothing to stop Tsunade's rage.

But soon, a question caught Naruto's interest, as he began thinking over Tsuki about a certain something that did not make sense to him at all.

"Hang on a second!" He exclaimed. "If you're the Daimyo's daughter what are you doing all the way here? We're far away from the Leaf Village and Fire Country, so why are you all the way out here?" Naruto asked Tsuki, who in return looked away form him in guilt. Naruto's eyes widened in confusion, before Jiraiya spoke.

"Listen Tsuki, the question my student asked you is extremely important. If you were kidnapped, then that means we have a mole within Fire Country, which also means that your father's life is at stake. So please, answer the question." The Toad Sage said.

"I was never taken away from my home, nor was I ever kidnapped…" She moved her head to face them. The bangs of her hair covered her eyes in shadow, her lips trembled before she finally answered Naruto's question, "I ran away… I ran away because… Because…".

"I RAN AWAY BECAUSE MY FATHER HAD ARRANGED A MARRIAGE FOR ME!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.

"An arranged marriage?" Naruto said in confusion quietly, but Jiraiya heard him.

"I only heard rumours myself, that's why you ever knew Naruto. Apparently, the rumours suggest that Grain country, is ready to make a trade agreement with Fire country, in order to do that, the Daimyo's daughter was to marry the son of a noble in Grain country, who I heard they were great friends since childhood." Jiraiya explained to the confused young Chunin.

"Yes, but just because he is my friend doesn't mean I love him like that!" Tsuki said. "I hate my father so much! All he says is "I want to protect my little girl"!". Naruto felt a little shocked when Tsuki said this, but at the same time, he also felt a little angry at her.

"I mean, my life would be so much better without him! I WISH MY FAMILY WILL STOP WORRYING ABOUT ME! You have no idea how much freedom I would have in my life if my family simply just left me alone!" Tsuki exclaimed in anger.

"You're an idiot…" Naruto stood up slowly and began to walk into the forest for some air, but he was stopped when Tsuki spoke.

"Excuse me-.".

"I SAID YOU'RE AN IDIOT! You have a father who loves you and wants nothing more but to protect you! You don't know what privilege it is for you to have father that cares. All you are, is a stupid little girl!" With that said, Naruto walked away from both Jiraiya and Tsuki, leaving an angered, yet hurt Tsuki behind.

"Naruto…" Jiraiya whispered. He was ashamed for how Naruto spoke to Tsuki, but at the same time he couldn't blame the Jinchuriki though. The life Naruto had to live was a complete utter nightmare, especially if he hardly knew his parents or met them. For Tsuki, meeting her father everyday was a luxury that she had no idea of.

"He doesn't know me at all…" Tsuki pouted.

"Oh boy…" Jiraiya sighed, before he got up and sat next to Tsuki. "Well… It's not exactly easy for Naruto either. He never deals with any parent issues… In fact, he never had to deal with parents at all." When the words left Jiraiya's mouth, Tsuki looked at the Sage with shocked eyes.

"His parents died?" Tsuki asked him, and her answer was in the reply of a nod. This made Tsuki rather guilty how she spoke about her own family in front of Naruto.

"His parents were Minato Namikaze, and Kushina Uzumaki Namikaze.".

"I know those two! My dad spoke highly of them, said they were the best Shinobi he had ever met!" Tsuki exclaimed in shock.

"And those two are Naruto's parents.".

"I heard how they died. They said that the Nin-Tailed Beast known as Kurama attacked Konoha without warning one day. The event happened on October Tenth nearly fifteen years ago. It was said, that both the Hokage and his wife worked together that day to put a stop to the monster's rampage. They succeeded, but not without half the village, along with thousands of innocent lives, including their own, lost that day before they killed the beast." Tsuki explained to Jiraiya.

"Well, that's half-true. You see, the Tailed beasts are made up of nothing but Chakra. All of their organs, their muscles, their skin and fur, they were formed because of Chakra. Now, as a shinobi myself, I know everything there is about Chakra, and one of the few things is that, Chakra is a power, force of near-nothingness. You can't break Chakra, you cannot hurt Chakra, you can stab it, you can spread it, but by the end of he day, it's only Chakra, and that is what the Tailed Beasts are, nothing but living Chakra formed to look our common animals." Jiraiya explained to the daughter of his home country.

"So, in other words, the part where the story said that the Fourth Hokage and his wife killed the Kyuubi was…".

"A lie. A lie that, at my best guess, that the families and adults of the children had told lies to their young ones, as to prevent Naruto's identity being the Nine-Tailed Jinchuriki from coming loose." Jiraiya explained. "When it was revealed to everyone in Konoha shortly after the Nine-Tails were sealed in Naruto, everyone immediately started hating him since he was a mere baby. A baby who had not fully awoken into a world he had just been born in.". Tsuki looked at Jiraiya with eyes full of guilt, full of regret. She had no idea how Naruto had been treated.

"You said that the Nine-Tails were sealed in Naruto-Kun?" Tsuki asked the Toad Sage, who ignored to look at her, and used a nearby stick to push the logs and keep the fire going.

"It is indeed true that you cannot kill Chakra. But you can disperse it, and in a way, it is possible to kill the Tailed Beasts, for argument's sake. Although, they would only be dispersed for only a few months, if not a whole year." Jiraiya explained.

"I know Minato more than I know the back of my hand, and I know how tough his wife Kushina was as well. But I sincerely doubt, even the Fourth Hokage himself had the power to disperse the Chakra of a Tailed Beast himself. The only way Minato knew how to defeat the beast, was to seal it in his own child." Jiraiya explained further.

"Knowing Minato, he couldn't ask any father or mother o give up their child for the village, and it couldn't have been any child either, it had to be one who was familiar with Nine-Tails Chakra. Since Kushina, Naruto's mother was a Jinchuriki before him, it was guaranteed he'd survived the sealing of the Nine-Tails." The Sage continued on his explanation, which interested Tsuki a lot.

"However, with the amount of Chakra Minato and Kushina used against the Nine-Tails, they only had enough to make the seal, but it would come at a heavy price. If they were to seal the Nine-Tails inside Naruto, it would cost them their own lives." Tsuki gasped at this in shock.

"So, Naruto-Kun's parents gave up their lives… For him?".

"Yes." Jiraiya simply replied, a hint of sadness, which he rarely shows for anyone, for his student.

"My mentor, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was there to hear Naruto's parents last words. They requested for Naruto be seen as a hero…" The Sage clenched his fists in slight anger. "But the council… That damn council made the announcement of their sacrifice before Hiruzen or the Shinobi council ever could, and put the blame on the village's destruction, deaths, and the loss of the Hokage and his wife on Naruto's head. Since then, Naruto was hated by everybody in the village, which was why Hiruzen made a rule called the "Third's Rule"." Jiraiya explained. "If anybody was to release the information about Naruto being the Nine-Tailed Jinchuriki to the younger generations of Konoha, they would receive death.".

"What!" Tsuki exclaimed in further shock.

"It may sound to be too severe of a rule to place. But it was for Naruto's benefit." Jiraiya said. "And it served him well. He made friends, family, people he would never had gained if they knew he was a Jinchuriki in the first place. They would've hated him just like everyone else did.".

"It sounds… Like his life took a happier turn." Tsuki smiled at the Toad Sage, who gave her a serious look which showed her that there was a little bit more sadness over Naruto to come.

"As good as it sounds, it didn't last long." Jiraiya explained.

"A while before we left on our training trip, a member of Naruto's Team, Team Seven, had left the village to join with Orochimaru for power. His name was, Sasuke Uchiha." Jiraiya started.

"Naruto, along with a Chunin named Shikamaru Nara, had met with the Fifth Hokage herself, and were told Sasuke had left the village for power. Both of them had brought set of other Genin with them, named Choji Akamichi, Neji Hyuga, Kiba and Akamaru Inuzuka, along with Rock Lee. Together, they formed the Sasuke retrieval mission, a mission to return Sasuke back to the Leaf Village, and succeeded." Jiraiya said.

"However, upon Naruto's return to the village, the only people he cared enough about to consider to be the closest to him, betrayed him." Again, for the umpteenth time, Tsuki gasped. "First, it was Sasuke. Naruto and Sasuke may have lived different lives, but they both considered themselves brothers. But Sasuke betrayed that brotherhood when he stabbed Naruto with a Chidori, a move Kakashi taught Sasuke shortly before he defected the village. I even heard from Naruto's reports of the things Sasuke said, and how Sasuke refused to acknowledge Konoha as his home anymore.".

"Second, Kakashi Hatake, who you might know him as the son of the White Fang, the Copycat Ninja. He was Team Seven's Leader, their Sensei. Naruto used to consider Kakashi as his mentor, but when he started to open his eyes a little more, he realised that Kakashi only ever helped Sasuke with his training, not Naruto. In fact, Naruto had developed a belief, that Kakashi in some way favoured Sasuke over his other two students." Jiraiya explained. "Not only did Kakashi teach Sasuke, and favoured him as a student, but he also gave false recognition to him also, and not Naruto. At first, he had believed Sasuke was the one who defeated Garaa, the One-Tailed Jinchuriki of the Sand Village, where it was Naruto's doing in truth.". Jiraiya gave a brief pause before he continued on. "And when Naruto brought Sasuke back, Kakashi scolded him, said he was ashamed of Naruto basing his belief that Naruto injured Sasuke, used the Rasengan on him based on their rivalry, where in truth Sasuke was out for blood." Jiraiya said, finishing his sentence.

"Now comes the third and final person. Sakura Haruno, the third member of Team Seven and Naruto's girl of his dreams." Jiraiya began. "I've seen how much Naruto cared for her; he loved her a lot. But her eyes were on Sasuke rather than Naruto. I failed to see how she could have eyes for a traitor, where someone was right next to her the entire time." Jiraiya explained. "Every time Naruto got close to her, she punched him. Every time Naruto gave her a look full of love, she punched him. Every time Naruto asked her out, she punched him. It had seemed that any attempt to speak or ask her out only ever brought Naruto nothing more but pain. In fact, one of the biggest and worst mistakes she had ever made was the time before Naruto and the retrieval team went out for Sasuke." Jiraiya took a deep breath, ready for his next sentence.

"It was about a year and half ago. Sakura was in tears, she rushed to Naruto begged him to bring Sasuke back. Naruto was heartbroken, he loved Sakura more than anybody could, yet he made her a promise that he would bring Sasuke back, mainly for her…" Tsuki gasp a little, but this gasp was not in shock like the others were, this one was a gasp of sadness. "Naruto made that promise, despite how hurt he was when he did, he refused to let Sakura cry any further.".

"And when Naruto finally managed to bring Sasuke back, the first thing Sakura did with Naruto, was slap him the face." Tsuki couldn't believe what she had just heard. Sakura, this woman called Sakura, the same woman Naruto loved, the one he promised to bring her crush back, had slapped him in the face?! "She slapped Naruto because the injuries he had inflicted on Sasuke, which were not close to being lethal, rather than normal. In fact, despite Sasuke trying to kill him, Naruto decided to hold back and bring Sasuke back with minimal injuries. Even if you're not a Shinobi, Tsuki, you should already know that, Naruto had no intention on killing Sasuke but bringing him back home alive, while Sasuke tried to kill Naruto, so even for you, you should know the difference between them in a fight like that.".

Tsuki had to admit, Jiraiya was right. Naruto held back, Sasuke didn't, which meant Naruto took more attacks from Sasuke than Sasuke took from Naruto. "I can't believe it. His own family betrayed him." She now felt incredibly guilty more about talking about her father and family the way she did, when Naruto had to go through all of that.

"The reason I am explaining this to you Tsuki, is because Naruto means no offense to you at all. It's just that, family means something way too important to him, it's a luxury he could never have in his life, and to hear someone who speaks down to their own families is something he's not willing to stand no matter whose mouth it comes from. He doesn't mean any disrespect Tsuki." Jiraiya apologised.

"No. You don't have to apologise to anything Jiraiya-Sama." Tsuki said, looking down at the fire, avoiding eye contact from him, before she decided to look at the Sage in the eyes. "After hearing Naruto-Kun's story, what I said was out of line…" She closed her eyes, before opening them again.

"So… What's going to happen to me?" She asked the Toad Sage.

"Well…" Jiraiya wondered his eyes around, as he placed his finger on his chin, slowly rubbing it. "I wasn't expecting to meet the Daughter of our Feudal Lord far away from Fire Country. And like I said earlier before, if word ever got out that you were out of the Fire Palace, then all of our enemies would be after you. The most logical thing to do is to escort you near to one of your holiday homes and allow the Daimyo and the Royal Guards of the Fire Palace to return you home. Until then, me and Naruto will take you to that, said location." Jiraiya smiled, crossing his arms as he looked at Tsuki.

Tsuki gave a brief sigh. What can she do? Runaway from one of the strongest Shinobi in the Nations? Like she'll have a chance evading Jiraiya. Also, she had come to regret her decision to leave her home. She started to realize the error of her ways, since it may be clear that some of her family enemies or mercenaries may know she is in the open.

"I'm sorry for inconvenience." Tsuki apologised.

"Don't be. It's been a while since either me or Naruto had been in contact with anyone in Konoha or Fire Country." Jiraiya explained. "However, just because we're going back to Konoha, does not mean we're ending the training trip here. Once we deliver you to your family, we'll back on our way.".

"…" Tsuki said nothing in return, she only gave a look of shaming centred on herself, as she looked down at the campfire again.

"It's pretty late, perhaps you should get some sleep?" Jiraiya asked the Princess, who looked at him and spoke.

"Thanks, Jiraiya-Sama, but I'm not showing a look of tiredness. Instead, I feel very guilty about everything I said in front of Naruto-Kun. I feel bad, he never had a life with parents like I had. I should go and apologise to him. Do you think he'll let me?" She looked at the Toad Sage's eyes deeply.

"I know Naruto better than anybody. Yes, Naruto can get angry from time to time, but even he is willing to listen to anyone's words, which is why he'll listen to you Tsuki." With that said, Tsuki thanked Jiraiya, and gave him a very formal bow before she left in the direction where Naruto had gone to.

It felt rather strange for Jiraiya to receive such a formal bow from anybody, especially from the Princess of Fire Country.

(Location: Lake)

A pebble was thrown into an image of the stars, where ripples of water formed in the centre from where it was thrown. It was Naruto, who had thrown the pebble into the lake underneath the full moon.

"Hey Furball! Do you think I was too hard on her?" Naruto asked aloud, talking to the inner demon in him.

"What do you want me to say boy?!" The Kyuubi asked. "I don't care about others!" He growled.

"Well you're no help at all!" Naruto complained.

"Huh… Well, there's no turning back now is there? I know for a fact Granny-Tsunade is going have my head for yelling at our Nation's Lord's Daughter. But I couldn't let it go just like that. She has family who cares about her and she didn't like them one bit.

Not far behind Naruto, was Tsuki. She looked at Naruto with mixed feelings in her eyes, guilt, sadness with a hint for feeling sorry for Naruto. She had come to terms about Naruto.

"Hey… Naruto-Kun, could I speak with you for just a moment?" She asked, as she slowly approached Naruto with slow footsteps.

Naruto need to look at her, and she didn't need to see his face to know that he was still upset with her. "I'm sorry… Jiraiya-Sama told me about your life back in your village, in Konoha. Along with the Nine-Tails." She said to Naruto, earning an annoyed groan as he turned and looked at her with closed, disappointing eyes.

"The Pervert! He had no right to tell anybody about my past!" Naruto groaned. He didn't like his mentor giving away his student's past away like that if it were a bedtime story, but Jiraiya only told Tsuki that so she would understand Naruto a little bit better.

"No, it's alright." Tsuki said, as she soothed Naruto. "If Jiraiya-Sama never told me, I wouldn't have understood." She said to Naruto.

"Look… I'm sorry for yelling earlier. But you must understand the luxury you live with. A father who is willing to watch over his daughter is a good father. I never had a father, and my old man was somebody who was… I don't care at all." Naruto said, giving up mid-sentence.

"Naruto-Kun, what are you talking about?" Tsuki asked in concern.

"Nothing, just nothing important." Naruto said, in slight irritation over his father's name.

Once Tsuki was connecting the dots, she came with a conclusion and said, "Do you hate your father?".

"Hate?" Naruto repeated, looking at her with wide eyes. "Hate isn't the word I would use at all. I would use furious, angry, anything worse than the word, "Hate". My life, my whole life had been nothing but a complete hell for me. Everybody I held close to m heart always either betrayed or berated me. I'm sure the pervert told you about Haruno and Hatake, the two people who I cared about scolding me over Uchiha?" Naruto asked. Tsuki could tell Naruto's voice was laced with venom, not directed at her, but at his own former team and his now deceased father.

"You blame him for the Nine-Tails, don't you?".

"The Pervy-Sage kept telling me that a full-grown adult could never become a Jinchuriki because their body had already developed enough without the Demon's Chakra. Only a new-born, like a baby, could ever keep the Nine-Tails at bay. I'm okay with all of that, but I heard my own father wanted the village to treat me like a hero, I wouldn't mind if they treated me like a regular person…" He stayed quiet a little bit. "But they didn't!" He had his back turned away from Tsuki, shaking, not in anger, but in sadness. "They treated me with so much hate, so much anger! All I ever wanted was to be seen differently, other than a "Demon Brat"! And Haruno… I would've been there for her all of my life! I loved her! It was nothing like her crush on Uchiha, it was actual love I felt for her! I have no idea what to feel for her anymore?! I just can't forgive her after what she did!" Naruto's voice broke down a bit, which left Tsuki heartbroken.

"I bet the Pervy-Sage had told you about her, and the promise I given her?!" Naruto asked, but decided to continue anyway. "When Uchiha left, I was given the mission to find and bring back the Uchiha to Konoha! Then Haruno came, in tears, begging me to bring her crush back! I had feelings for her, and to make that promise hurt, but she didn't notice it! I bring him back, only to be slapped in the face hard by her!" Tsuki placed her hands to her mouth in shock, hearing that Sakura slapped Naruto over Sasuke. "She did it all because I brought him back with injuries, in pain! She didn't even know what I had to suffer just to bring him back! Who I fought, the people I had to go through, the pain I had to go through, the amount of Chakra I wasted, all to bring him back to the village, when he tried to join a traitor, a killer! Hatake was no different either, he favoured him over me and her!" Naruto argued some more.

"I just don't understand wh-!" Naruto found himself cut off, when Tsuki sneaked from behind and hugged him from his back. Naruto didn't need to see it to believe it, but he could tell Tsuki was crying, not tears for herself, but tears for him. It was obvious she felt sorry for the Jinchuriki container, now realising how he was feeling and how much pain he must've felt at the time.

Naruto was grateful, it was a feeling he would rarely experience. To have someone who feels bad for his own past was something Naruto felt good at. It was like a moment of bonding…

(Location: With Sakura)

"I need an explanation Moegi?" Sakura said. The Kunoichi was walking through the forest, with both Moegi and Udon ahead of her so they could lead her towards Konohamaru, who was abducted not long ago.

Moegi gave a rather ashamed look, as she looked at the ground. "We were out searching for some fire wood and herbs. That was until Konohamaru had spotted two bandits walking on a path." She explained so far. "Judging by their Chakra. I think they might be Genin-Chunin levelled. Konohamaru wanted to take them, but I told him you ordered us not to engage in any combat with any possible enemy we might see. But he was so angry with you when-… You know…".

"You don't need to sound so apologetic." Sakura said, who now had a turn with the exact same shame look that Moegi had. "I can understand why Konohamaru was angry with me, and I deserve it." She said. "But none of that is important now. After what you had told me so far, I could only guess that he tried to attack them and got captured in the process.".

"We should've helped. But your orders-.".

"It wasn't you or Udon's fault. Konohamaru is the Grandson of our deceased Third Hokage, a member of the Sarutobi Clan, one of the Clan's that found our village. They took Konohamaru, probably to use him as either a bargaining chip or a hostage so Konoha could buy him back. If you two were to engage, they would have no problem with killing you two, it was for the best you didn't fight." Sakura said.

"You said there were two? How many more are there?" Sakura asked.

"We overheard them talking. It didn't sound like they had friends, maybe there is only two. I also think they're small time bandits. They had no masks, and I didn't recognize their faces." Moegi answered, as she looked back at Sakura, giving an innocent glare.

"The way you put it, that does sound like they're small time. But that's the scary part." Sakura said.

"Why?" Moegi asked.

"Because they are usually inexperienced. And if they were to ransom Konohamaru to the village, if their plan fails, they might get desperate enough to threaten to kill Konohamaru or worse. But I think I have an idea how to save Konohamaru." Sakura said, assuring Konohamaru's friends' safety for their sake.

"Really? how?" Moegi asked.

"Here's how…" With that said, Sakura and Konohamaru's friends started talking about Sakura's plan.

"Out of the whole village, you two and Konohamaru were the first people to acknowledge Naruto-Kun. I won't let anything happen to your friend, even if I have to give up my arm, leg, or even my life to protect you three…" Sakura gave a quick thought to herself, while discussing the plan with Konohamaru's friends.

Author's Note: And that's a wrap! So, I know this is a little bit of a short chapter, but I wanted to discuss something before moving on with this story.

A few select of you might remember I used to have a plan with my stories at some point. I would write and publish a chapter of "Konoha's Runaway Demon", and I would publish a chapter of "Trying To Move On" after that. Then I would begin the process again of doing a chapter of that story, and another of this story. I've decided to return to that old routine, seeing how I keep publishing a few chapters to my other stories at random.

Every two weeks I publish a chapter from one of my stories. Currently, the two stories I have decided to publish chapter by chapter nearly every two weeks will be "Trying to Move On" and "Fairy Worlds: Beginning".

Every time I would start a brand-new story, I will only publish one chapter of that story until I have finished the ones, I have selected to do first.

Those who had read "Konoha's Runaway Demon" might've realised a problem I had with the story. I tried to prolong that story as much as possible during my first years apart of FanFiction, and I regret that choice. So, I might lengthen the chapters, but I'll shorten their numbers so I'm finished with one story, hopefully, in less than a year.

It's been a long time, but hopefully, sometime in 2020, I will finish this story, along with others that will come.

I thank you guys so much. This story was not the first Fanfic story I published, but it was the first which got a lot of reviews, and it was also the first story that I consider, a more proper (Not proper like a true novel, proper as in like Fanfiction material) story I made compared to my first Fanfics like "Naruko" and "Pokémon A New Journey" I used to publish. I appreciate how much support you give to this story, and I feel bad by letting you wait, but I have finally decided to finish it.

Thank you all for reading.

Anyway, as usual, if you enjoyed this story I have more below here:

Konoha's Runaway Demon.

Trying To Move On.

Also, please do write your reviews and your thoughts on this story, so I know what I did wrong what I should've done, or maybe if I'm on the right track?

Anyway, thank you so much for reading this short chapter, and I hoped you all well.
