G'day Casters! Welcome to another introduction! I haven't even finished the Arendelle Sisters yet and I'm writing this… Geeze… Anyway, this time we shall be looking at Christopher Caster and Joshua Puller before Episode I! Now, I reread Ep1 and realised something… It looked like Chris already knew Vestara in the Dream Realm… So, I'm going to build upon that unintentional story point! Let's get started!

Enjoy!

Story VI: Origins

Chapter II: Sabre Puller & Master Caster

"Protect the queen, Josh must not succeed in his mission. I am on your side, trust me." They didn't trust me, I could tell that much. Except Vestara, she seemed to believe me. "They don't trust you Chris, but I do. I will try to do my best to convince them. Don't worry, we'll get this done and over with soon." Said Vestara through the force. "Thank you. I'm honestly surprised I can actually trust you. Will hopefully get this done soon so we can figure other stuff out. See you soon Ves." I said before closing my connection with the force.
Vestara thought he knew her name from the Wake… What she didn't realise was Chris had had a run-in with her before she gained control. But it wasn't on friendly terms.

Christopher Caster's POV:

I was chilling in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant with my friend and fellow Jedi Knight, Joshua Puller. Until a Jedi Master told us we were wanted at the Jedi Council.

"I wonder what the Council wants with us?" wondered Josh out loud.

"It's not the first time they've called us. It's probably another mission to deal with the Trade Federation or something," I said.

"Possibly."

When we arrived at the Council Chambers, I was surprised to sense a feeling of darkness in the room.

"Knight Caster, Knight Puller, thank you for coming," said Master Windu.

"I sense something's wrong," I noted.

"Something wrong, there is. A mission for you, we have. To the Sol System, you will go. A Sith, we think there is," alerted Master Yoda.

"A Sith?! Shouldn't you send a Master or something?" complained Josh.

"We accept the mission. I will take the Corusta and go to the Sol System," I said before anyone could reply to Josh's idiocy.

"Good luck, and may the Force be with you," nodded Master Windu. We bowed and left the room.

"How the kriff are we meant to deal with a Sith?!" asked Josh.

"We are fully trained Jedi Knights who are well on their way to becoming Jedi Masters. We can handle this. It's not like there's any Sith Lords out there, so we'll be fine," I reassured him.

"Fine. But if it's a Sith Lord, you're cleaning my room in the Temple for a month," he bet.

There was no way it would be a Sith Lord, right?

"Bet taken. If it isn't a Sith Lord, you're cleaning my room for a month," I smirked.

"Deal."

We boarded the Corusta, an old Herald-class shuttle that I had been awarded by the Jedi, and left Coruscanti space. I engaged the Hyperdrive and we started our journey to the Sol System.

Vestara Khai's POV:

It was midnight, and below freezing outside the walls of the Kingdom of Allona. I had my black Sith cloak wrapped tightly around me in an effort to keep warm. But the material was only thin, and didn't do a good job in keeping me warm.

I shivered as I waited for my mermaid companion to get back from Atlanta. Allona was on the shore, not far from the underwater kingdom of Atlanta.

I ignited my lightsabre and welcomed the comforting warmth, despite the fact that the sabre had a safety system which kept most of the heat inside the blade. It wasn't much, but it was enough. I looked at my hands and realised they were practically blue, and I assumed my face would be too.

You better hurry the kriffing hell up or I'm gonna be eating fish for breakfast, I thought.

I failed to remember that the kingdom currently had a strong Trade Federation presence.

"Hold it, Jedi," came the voice of a battle droid.

I deactivated my sabre and turned to the droids. I decided to have fun with the dumb droids.

"Oh, Jedi? I don't see any around here. Please, I'm freezing cold. This thing helps me keep warm," I said, putting on a fake innocent voice, though the trembling from the cold wasn't faked. "Look, it's really warm," they came closer.

I smirked.

I held the sabre out to them.

"This isn't warm," said one of the droids.

"No, because it's not ignited. How about NOW?!" I ignited the blade and cut one droid up, while slicing the other's gun in half. "Don't you droids ever learn? Don't mess with Sith Lords!" I said, before cutting the second droid down.

"I see you had fun while I was away," came a female voice.

I looked to the water and saw the familiar mermaid.

"What took you so kriffing long Ariel?" I asked.

"I'm sorry. I was held up by my father and Sebastian," she replied. I knew she was the daughter of King Triton, king of the ocean. So I didn't get angry at her.

"Did you get what I asked for?" I asked her.

"Yes yes it's right here. The high-powered yellow kyber crystal that was rumoured to be in Atlanta. Turns out it's real," said Ariel, showing me the crystal.

"Thank you, Ariel. You can go now, you deserve a break after that," I nodded.

Ariel said goodbye and went back to Atlanta. Meanwhile I turned back to Allona. "Kriff," I silently cursed as I saw a Sith Shuttle land, and two Jedi get out.

I pulled my cloak over my head and covered my presence in the Force. My cloak was black, so it blended in well with the darkness.

"Damnit, why did we have to be led to a Kingdom that's so kriffing cold," complained one of the Jedi.

"For the last damn time, quit your whining and look for that Sith," said the other.

Ah kriff, they're looking for me. How did they know I was here? I wondered.

When the Jedi vanished into the darkness, I quietly but quickly ran to their ship.

"Thanks for the ship, Jedi scum," I whispered.

I jumped up into the ship and was about to start the engines when I sensed something.

"You're good, I'll give you that," said one of the Jedi. I turned around and saw the second Jedi was standing behind me, lightsabre in hand but not active.

"You must be good if you detected me," I said.

"Look for blank holes in the Force. That's where someone who is still a novice at hiding themselves are," he commented.

"Are you trying to piss me off?" I asked.

"No, I'm simply stating facts," he said in his smart-ass 'I-know-it-all' tone of voice.

"Well, I may be a novice at hiding, but I'm no novice with a lightsabre," I smirked.

"I don't doubt that. However, it is quite cold and I would prefer to fight tomorrow when it's warmer," he sighed.

"Whimp," I teased.

"Once again, I'm stating what my partner would say, he would rather a fight in the day. The cold never bothered me anyway. So, what do you say we have ourselves a duel outside," he said.

Ugh, this guy's making me sick.

"I say that is a brilliant idea," I said, mocking his tone.

"Well then, you shall feel the wrath of Jedi knight Christopher Caster," he warned. This time his voice changed tone and it put a pang of fright in me.

"You are no match for the power of a Sith Lord. Especially not me, Sith Lady Vestara Khai," I replied, smirking.

I ignited my red lightsabre, and he ignited a purple lightsabre.

He backed out of the ship, and I went in for the kill. He blocked my attack, expertly sliding my sabre away from him and cutting down towards my arm. I spun and crouched as I brought my sabre around to block. I tried to trip him up but he jumped over my head and landed behind me. I blocked another blow, before jumping up and using a tree to propel myself towards him. He sidestepped and parried my attack. Our blades moved in a blur of light as they danced together in the pitch-black night.

Suddenly, Chris jumped away and a green lightsabre ignited, almost cutting me in half because I couldn't see the Jedi in the darkness.

"About time you got back, Josh," said Chris.

"Kriff off," Josh retorted.

"Look at you two, bickering like a duo of idiots. How pathetic," I laughed.

"The only pathetic thing here is you," taunted Josh.

He fought harder than any Jedi I had seen before, and almost broke through my guard.

When he finally did break through though, and I thought I was going to die, I was surprised by a purple lightsabre blocking the green sabre.

"We didn't come here to kill her. Bind her and bring her back to the Jedi Temple. They can do whatever they want to her then," said Chris.

"You really are an idiot," sighed Josh.

"Indeed," I nodded.

I swung at Chris, but he dodged and knocked my sabre out of my hand.

"Not gonna happen, Vestara," he said.

Suddenly, an explosion knocked us all off our feet. "Damnit, the Trade Federation saw us," I groaned.

"Not these bastards again," complained Chris.

We were locked into deflecting shots back at an army of battle droids and dodging tank shells, our duel forgotten for the moment.

"Ves!" yelled Chris. He used the Force and stopped a tree from falling on me. I looked at him, surprised.

Did he just save me again? And use the nickname that only people close to me use?

I had questions, but we had to defeat the droids first.

Chris advanced forwards through the waves of droids. I was separated from him as a tank shell almost hit me.

Before I was able to continue, I sensed a disturbance in the Force.

I reacted fast, and blocked a green lightsabre. "You won't survive this one, Sith," growled Josh.

He pushed me back, and the kyber crystal fell out of my pocket. He picked it up. "I sense great power coming from this crystal… Thank you," he smirked, before putting in his pocket and trying to kill me again.

After a few minutes, I managed to jump into a tree and get away from Josh. Unfortunately, my sabre locked with a purple sabre as I landed behind the Federation lines.

"Good to see you survived," said Chris. He deflected another blaster shot. I thought for a second.

This guy thinks I'm on his side right now. Maybe he'll trust me, I smirked.

It was wiped off my face though when I put my plan into action.

"Your buddy is dead, I saw him get shot right in front of me," I said.

"Shit. Okay, that's not good," replied Chris.

"We should retreat into the kingdom. I know a place to hide," I alerted.

"Alright, lead the way," he nodded.

How pathetic.

We finally managed to get away from the Trade Federation.

"Not bad, for a Sith," Chris commented. But I ignored it as I led him into an alley.

Without warning, I ignited my sabre, and tried to attack him. He blocked it again, and I knew I would ware down before he did.

So, I distracted him with another attack, before jumping onto the roofs and running.

I saw the Sith Shuttle they had arrived on fly over. It saw me and began shooting at me. I dodged it all and made my way out of the city.

"We will meet again, Vestara Khai," said Chris through the Force.

Once I was about five kilometres outside the kingdom and hidden, I took a rest.

Looks like I'll need a new plan. I might be stuck here, with no kyber crystal, and the Jedi after me. This isn't good, I thought.

But I would have to make do for now. Now, I needed to survive.

Christopher Caster's POV:

The Corusta flew overhead and shot at Vestara.

"Well, that much was expected from a Sith," I said to myself. But I smirked.

We will meet again, Vestara Khai, I said to her in the Force.

I jumped up onto the Corusta as it flew over again and closed the ramp.

"Welcome back. I know which direction she went in, we'll find her in no time," said Josh.

"No, we won't pursue her. She's stuck here, and I sense that she knows it. It'll be a long time before she gets out again, so we don't need to go after her," I commented.

Josh looked at me. "That was a kriffing Sith Lord, and you're letting her go?" he asked.

"We will meet her again, and her fate will be decided. Alongside our own. I can see it," I said.

And it was partly true. I had a vision where I was once again alongside Vestara. Fighting or not, we would see each other again.

"Let's go back to Coruscant," and that's what we did.

"You have to clean my room for a month, Chris."

Hope you enjoyed that chapter! Damn… One night… And the previous chapter has taken…I won't even say… I will probably write all these chapters before uploading them anyway, so that's fine.
Anyway, I don't know why I included the yellow kyber crystal that Josh had used in Episode I, but hey. It links them together even more. And ooohhhh, Ariel was working with her to get it!

Next up, Lady Khai! (Yes, we had her here, but she did appear in the Arendelle Sisters' story and that may seem confusing the way she appeared.)
