Deep within the Black Forest, Grand Admiral Gellert Grindelwald observes the site of a recent battle. His nemesis Godelot has at last been destroyed. Several Pogrebin and Occamy corpses litter the ground. At his side stands his subordinates Captain Percival Graves and Baron Theseus Scamander, as well a few battalions of Hit Wizards.

Graves. So that's it.

Grindelwald. That's it. One of the bodies in the Great Hall was positively identified as his.

Graves. [nods] What now?

Grindelwald. [shrugs] There's little we can do for the Occamy except aid in rebuilding the damage to the Red City. But they should be all right. Historically, there have been several instances when Queens have died prematurely. Sometimes that induces the next Queen to arise ahead of schedule. Sometimes the affected city has to limp on alone until the regular time of arising. But whatever struggles the Red City ends up going through, the people of Choranaptyxis will survive. That's what's important.

Graves. [with a shiver] Yes. Actually, Admiral, I meant what were we going to do now.

Grindelwald. You and the Alliance will be heading back to the Arctic Circle to begin cleaning up the legacy that Godelot left behind. As for me, I can now finally turn my attention to an even more pressing problem than Godelot. Namely, the restoration of the Ministry.

Graves. [nods] You may have trouble persuading them to accept your help. Some of their recent experience with Grand Admirals hasn't been all that positive.

Grindelwald. There's someone there I can contact. Captain Tiberius Ogden, currently in command of the MMC Nurmengard. I worked with him before, back when Godelot made his one incursion into Ministry space.

Graves. Yes, I remember. Pyrenees region. I also remember that it was shortly afterward that Godelot launched the Deathstick campaign and ended up nearly destroying half a dozen species.

Grindelwald. [frowns] Your recollection is correct. Your point?

Graves. That Godelot was a vengeful son of a bitch. I don't expect his followers to be any less so. It may not be a good time for you to reintroduce yourself to Ministry politics.

Grindelwald. [shakes his head] Don't worry, Captain. Whatever followers Godelot has left are few and scattered. Without his leadership, they'll slink back into the shadows where they belong.

Graves. Perhaps, It still might not be a bad idea for you to take a few additional precautions out there.

Grindelwald. Your concern is touching. Again, you have no need to worry. Captain Ogden is a competent commander, and he's made Nurmengard into one of the finest broomships in the fleet.

Graves. What I meant . . .

Grindelwald. And I've also made arrangements to have a bodyguard accompany me when I return to the Ministry. Whatever vengeance Godelot had planned, or thought he had planned, it will never reach me.

Graves. I hope not. With your permission, Admiral, I'll go begin preparations to contact Captain Ogden and return you to the Ministry. [smiles] To your Ministry.

Grindelwald. Thank you, Captain. And don't look so glum. This isn't just the end of Godelot. [smiles] It's also the beginning, the beginning of victory.

Exit all.
