To Dcraus: I'm sorry to disappoint you but I won't be able to grant your request. I'm already having a lot of trouble of giving each girl the attention and character development that they deserve that adding more girls is just impossible for me. I'm sorry.
To SxS: Thanks for mentioning the fanfic crossover. I took a look and I actually loved it, so It's now added to my fanfic reading list.
To danila.fedakov.02: You don't have to worry about that. Eugeo becoming a father would most likely be only shown in this story's final epilogue. Which is years away since the anime still has 2 seasons in the works for me to use as story reference.
To Rorororo-rolo: Well, it's a bit too bad that this info wasn't released sooner. If push comes to shove, I just might use another character to take Rino's place in this fanfic since MY Rino technically got saved by Naofumi from getting sold to a much crueler slavery.
To wayutakemura: I will get there eventually. The only problem is I can't tell WHEN I will start with this idea of mine.
To Laz-Stander: I apologize if you're upset that I still let the false trial happened but I think I explained in Eugeo words on why it still happened. I admit, I also still wanted some elements from the original story to stay the same.
To Phara: Thank you for your kind words and I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed my story so far despite its flaws. As for your question of, if I'm going to include other characters from the SAO cast, probably not. I'm already having a hard time in giving each character their chance to shine that anymore characters would be very difficult.
COUNTING OF VOTES:
1.) Eugeo's 2nd Sword
Night Sky Blade - 5
Osmanthus Blade - 14
2.) Handling the Plant Monster
Naofumi still solos it - 7
Eugeo and Naofumi fights a stronger version of the Plant Monster - 6
3.) Arthur and Guinevere's first meeting
Love at First Sight - 3
Fascination that turns to love - 10
RESULTS OF POLLS:
1.) A bit surprising result since I kinda expected that this will be a landslide victory in favor of the Night Sky Blade. But as the votes clearly shows, that isn't the case as Eugeo's 2nd sword from Underworld will now be the Osmanthus Blade.
2.) Also surprising result but I guess it would be better for Naofumi to solo it like in the anime. So he can prove his worth to those who still see him as a weak hero.
3.) Looks like it would be a slow burn on the Love Story but I can live with it. Considering how fast Filo declared her love for Naofumi in the hot-spring village, I was kinda expecting people to choose the Love At First Sight scenario. I guess this changes things, but NOT in a bad way.
NOTICE:
This chapter is once again a combined work between me and my fellow author "KiritoIRL" who fleshed this chapter out better than I thought possible. While I wrote most of this chapter, "KiritoIRL" did a very good job in making this chapter shine.

"Mmmmm…"
Eugeo groaned as something began to sting his eyes in his sleep. When he couldn't ignore the stinging any longer, Eugeo finally opened his eyes to find himself in the bed of the inn he had slept in.
Rays of sunlight filtered by the curtain of the window shined through to lighten the previously dark room (and shine the bright rays to his eyes), signifying that morning had come.
In all honesty, Eugeo really wanted to go back to sleep, most likely because of his lack of sleep the previous night because of the mortifying dream he had…
It wasn't a nightmare by any means – it was just very embarrassing…
But he knew that he had a lot of work to do for the day with the plans he had in mind. So, resisting the urge to close his eyes again to go back to sleep, Eugeo decided to get up. He would just have to go to sleep earlier than usual that night to catch up on his sleep.
But even at the start of a new day, it seemed that luck was not on Eugeo's side in terms of helping him keep his mind off the future intimacy with his girls.
Because as he moved to get out of bed, he had forgotten that he wasn't alone in his bed. Not only that, much to his embarrassment and his reddening face, the other occupant of his bed had somehow gotten her limbs entangled with his overnight.
'How in the world did we end up like this?!' Eugeo groaned in his mind as he shook his head to clear the dream's image from his mind.
While both of them are still fully clothed albeit a bit ruffled – thank Stacia for that – they still ended up in a rather awkward position. Instead of Kirin simply hugging his left arm like they agreed upon the previous night, both of them are now hugging each other very closely with their faces just a few centimeters apart. Which wasn't helpful for his quest to forget what he just dreamed about several hours ago.
Kirin herself seemed like she was having a pleasant dream as she had a small smile on her face and her breathing was rhythmed and balanced.
Looking at her face, Eugeo suddenly found himself reminiscing his memories of Kirin.
He remembered how they had met, during King Aultcray's gathering of all the Heroes' potential party members. And out of all the stuck-up nobles who wanted to be in his party when they could barely fight, Kirin was able to stand out and outshine all of them in terms of pure skills.
When the two of them had crossed swords for the first time during his testing of his party members and when he looked her in the eye, although their eye contact was very brief, he could see her pure heart and allowed her to become his party member. Out of all the nobles that had been present at the time, Eugeo had truly believed that Kirin was the only one who was truly deserving of the status of noble – much like Kirito's senior Sortiliena.
He started to remember more memories that he had shared with Kirin.
The time he had visited the Toudou Clan's main house with Kirin to meet Lady Aoi for the first time, the times he and Kirin ate and chatted with each other in the earlier days of their adventuring – like how he had done so with Kirito, Tiese, and Ronie, the time when he and Kirin spent learning to become Shadows together, and more.
As Kirin journeyed alongside himself and Alice, and as they became more and more comfortable with each other, he had found himself growing fond of Kirin as well as respect her more for her strength and kindness towards others, even to the ones that other nobles would openly look down upon – especially demi-humans.
She was the first friend that he had ever made after being summoned to this world. And now that he knew that Kirin wanted to become more than just his friend or reliable party member, along with the addition of Anna and Rifana, Eugeo knew that she at least deserved a chance to be with him; for all she had helped him for.
Was he still hesitant about starting the polygamic relationship? Definitely.
Alice had always been at the center of his heart ever since she had been taken to the Central Cathedral back in Underworld. And being summoned to this world did nothing to change that. Defeating the Waves of Catastrophe and finding a way to free Alice from the Legendary Sword and get her flesh and blood body back was his top priority.
But now, with the addition of not just Kirin, but Anna and Rifana to his romantic relationship…
If Kirin really was happy to become one of his wives in the future, Eugeo had to give her a chance to live out her dream… Even though he couldn't give his whole heart to Kirin alone, he still wanted her to be happy… to see her smile… Like how she was now… in her sleep.
Eugeo gave a small smile as he finished his thought… He reached his hand up to Kirin's face and gently caressed her cheek so that she wouldn't wake up.
But as he did, Kirin suddenly started to close the already short distance between herself and Eugeo with her eyes closed, to Eugeo's surprise.
"Wha… Ah…" Eugeo let out a small yelp of surprise and embarrassment.
"Hehehehe~ Eugeo~" Kirin moaned, evidently still asleep.
"Huh?" He gave another yelp, surprised at what he was hearing.
Was she having a dream about him?
"Mmm… You're so~ handsome… even when you eat, Eugeo~… Here… let me feed you~ Say, ahhhhh~" Kirin slurred in her sleep as she continued to close the distance between herself and Eugeo.
'Ah- ahh~' Eugeo couldn't do anything that would stop her from closing her distance without rudely awaking her! She kept coming closer to him, until not just their limbs, but their chests were touching each other.
He knew that Kirin was a rather straightforward girl for a noble, but this was going to the next level! She really was doing this unconsciously in her sleep, right?
"Mmm~ Eugeo… I… I wuv… you~" Kirin sighed blissfully, tightening her grip so that her breast were pressing down even firmer than before; and bringing her face closer to his so that their noses were touching – which was REALLY not helping him forget his dream and adding more red to his face's color…
He had never been this close to a girl's face other than Alice! As he closed his eyes to brace for the contact of their lips, Kirin suddenly loosened her grip on him and pulled away slightly. Although her limbs were still tangled with his, at least he got his breathing space back, for which Eugeo was glad to be spared from creating another embarrassing anecdote… Though he had a feeling that he would be running into more of those in the near future, whether he wanted it or not.
But seeing her trying to get intimate with him unknowingly, Eugeo's thoughts started to run wild suddenly… remembering the naked Kirin laying down on his bare-chest; her usually childish and cheerful eyes filled with mature lust…
No!
Stop!
STOP!!
What was he thinking about so early in the morning?! That Kirin in his dream wasn't really her! Well… she may change her personality as she gets more mature, and maybe when she becomes his wife, she may be just like the Kirin in his dream…
Ah!! No, no, no!
'Get your head out of the gutter, Eugeo!!! What are you thinking?!' He berated himself, trying with little success to control his heated face.
Thankfully, as he was berating himself, Kirin loosened her grip enough so that Eugeo could untangle himself from her without her noticing while also keeping his hands from touching anything inappropriate.
After making a few morning stretches and seeing the time being 6:00am on his Stacia Hud, Eugeo decided it to be a good time to start absorbing his spoils from the Wave. Also seeing it as a way to forget his extremely embarrassing dream and very awkward wake-up call.
'Hey Alice?' Eugeo spoke within himself as he pulled the Legendary Sword free from its scabbard, checking if his girlfriend is awake. Strangely enough, this doesn't seem to be the case as the sentient blade remained silent, meaning that Alice is still asleep.
'That's strange' Eugeo muttered as Alice is usually an early riser. Judging it as unimportant, he decided to let Alice sleep-in this time.
Opening up his Item Storage, Eugeo began materializing numerous monster fragments one by one and absorbing them into the Legendary Sword's blue gem. As per usual, a great majority of the unlocked forms are Stat Boosters that corresponds with the monster that it originated from. Giving him increased physical defense and greater resistance to different types of poisons.
But what stood out among them and proved to be a cut above the rest of his unlocked swords are the ones that he got from the main Wave Boss...

It took Eugeo about a quarter of an hour of nonstop absorbing before he managed to finish the chore. Bringing his total number of combat-oriented swords pass the one hundred mark.
This unintentional achievement of surpassing 100 sword forms caused a new skill to be unlocked. As an extra Stacia Window pops up in front of Eugeo's vision shortly after.
[Hundred Swords Unlocked]
[Launches a barrage of 100 astral swords]
[Requirement: 100 Unlocked Sword Forms]
{Next Level: 1000 Unlocked Sword Forms}
Eugeo's eyes widened and his jaw dropped as he finished reading the description of his newest skill. While it has its limitations, being only able to direct the sword barrage to a general area (thus becoming prone to friendly fire), it will still be an extremely useful skill to have for the Wave.
The attack power of each individual blade is relatively weak as they only hold a tenth of Eugeo's overall ATK Stat. But they more than make up for it with sheer numbers alone.
'This is great' Eugeo cheered to himself as he closed the Stacia Window. Looking at the Legendary Sword with an appreciative smile, 'With this, handling the small fries of the Waves should be a whole lot easier now'
'What is?' Alice asked with a noticeably sleepy yawn.
'Oh. Good morning Alice' Eugeo greeted cheerfully before explaining to her about the new skill that he just unlocked and how he got it from accidental means. Surprising Alice greatly as she strangely missed this particular detail concerning the Legendary Sword.
Eugeo soon heard Kirin's yawn and just turned around slightly to greet his fellow swordsman but immediately looked away when he noticed Kirin's disheveled state. With Kirin's brain still not fully functional, she failed to notice how the left sleeve of her nightgown is now falling dangerously out of place as she stretched her arms above her head after sitting up. Unintentionally revealing a healthy amount of her skin and partially exposing her left cleavage!
'You don't have to be so embarrassed you know' Alice teased in a rare display of her devious side, 'You already got an eyeful of my goodies after all~'
'That doesn't make it any less embarrassing and you know it!' Eugeo fired back in a wild fluster.
"I'm going to go and get ready for the day" the Sword Hero hastily declared to both girls as he replaced his pajamas with his signature blue knight armor with a flick to his Stacia Window, "I still have to swing by the Adventurer's Guild after breakfast to submit that Quest we took after all"
It took a full minute after Eugeo left (with the still sleeping Arthur) for Kirin to realize the scandalous appearance that she was sporting. Causing her to be unable to look at Eugeo in the eye without exploding in an uncontrollable fluster for the next 2 hours.
It was only made worse when Anna and Rifana relentlessly kept asking her on how her first night with Eugeo went.
After receiving another over-the-top meal for breakfast (due to the inn's insistence), Eugeo and his companions left the establishment with more than satisfied stomachs. All of them feeling refreshed after getting a good night's sleep and a pleasant meal to start the morning. It was during their meal that Alice reported to Eugeo about the intruders who broke-in to Anna and Rifana's room with clearly bad intentions in mind.
Unfortunately, since they were sent out of the capital for the passed week, Alice wasn't able to gather any more important information from them other than what they already know. The only new information that she managed to gather is about the Pope's false claims towards Anna and Rifana which led to his latest order of disposing of the two Demi-humans.
This new development definitely irked Eugeo greatly. But on the brighter side, thanks to Alice's intimidating performance, she was able to convince the Shadows to abandon their affiliation with the Three Heroes Church. Believing Alice's claim on how their religion is a fake and is sentenced to be abolished in the near future. Thus, calming down some of Eugeo's worries.
"I'm going to go pay the Adventurer's Guild a visit" Eugeo announced to the others as he attached the transformed Arthur into his carriage before materializing a small money pouch filled with silver coins, "While I'm away, why don't the four of you do some shopping. Since we still have a lot of leftover meat from the monsters we killed, focus more on fruits, vegetables, and other necessities. Keep your guard up and let's all meet up again in Erhard's Blacksmith Shop"
" " " "Understood Master/Sir Eugeo/Father" " " " the three girls and one mount answered in chorus as Kirin received the money before they went on their separate ways.
Although Eugeo noticed that Kirin still couldn't look directly into his eyes without her face turning red, which also added to his embarrassment of what happened this morning and last night, to which Anna teased Kirin, much to her embarrassment.
Now left on his own, Eugeo turned around and started walking toward Castle Town's Adventurer's Guild.
And just like what happened last time, the moment Eugeo stepped foot inside the Guild hall, he instantly caught everyone's attention. Trying his best to ignore the admiring stares from the local Adventurers, Eugeo walked straight to the completion desks. An assigned section where Adventurers present their proof of completing the Quest they took before receiving their rewards.
Reminiscent to what occurred over a week prior, the Adventurers who were waiting in line took it upon themselves to step aside. With the clear intention of allowing the great Sword Hero to immediately get his turn. Still being unaccustomed to this kind of obvious special treatment, Eugeo could only give an awkward smile and an appreciative nod to the Adventurers who gave way for him.
"G-Good morning Sir Sword Hero" the assigned Quest lady of the day politely greeted him with a nervous stutter before clearing her throat, "Am I correct in assuming that you were successful in the Quest that you took Sir Hero?"
"Yes, I was successful in collecting the rare materials from the mountain top" Eugeo said in confirmation before remembering, "Oh, and I was also able to get rid of the Snow Wyvern that was nesting near that site. So other people won't have to worry about that particular beast anymore"
"Truly Sir Hero?!" the Quest lady excitedly exclaimed with a clap of her hands in pleasant surprise, "That's wonderful news!"
And with that, not only did Eugeo received the reward of 2,000 Silver coins for collecting the rare metal. But was also given an additional 30 Gold coins for killing the Snow Wyvern. Not too shabby of a reward for completing what was supposed to be a simple gathering Quest. The Sword Hero and Spirit felt quite proud of themselves as the Quest lady explained that by eliminating the Snow Wyvern, they now made the mountainous area a much safer place for future excavations and mining.
Saying his thanks for the hefty sum of money, Eugeo quickly stored his earnings inside his Legendary Sword and said his farewells.
After journeying back to Erhard's Blacksmith Shop a bit sooner than expected, Eugeo asked the man if he could borrow his forge and smithing equipment for the next few hours.
While Eugeo is taking care of his businesses in the Adventurer's Guild, Kirin took upon herself to lead the others around the town's business district. And just like Kirin's previous visit, she purposely steered her group towards the stalls that are secretly under her clan's influence.
Not only so that they can be guaranteed to purchase top quality products for their party's needs, but also so Kirin can secretly pass along her reports back to her mother. Conveying to Lady Aoi about the most recent events regarding Eugeo's actions back in Siltvelt, which are discretely sent to Queen Mirellia shortly afterwards. Although the most recent batch of Church Shadows were taken care of by Alice the night before, Kirin still made sure to keep the information exchange as inconspicuous as possible.
Anna and Rifana were just loading up their latest purchases inside Arthur's carriage when a familiar voice called out to them.
"Hey! Rifana!"
Turning to the direction of the voice, the three girls and one male mount smiled in greetings to the fast approaching Raphtalia.
"Great to see you too Raphtalia" Rifana said happily as she met her best friend midway, both wrapping their arms around each other in a warm welcome hug. And of course, not that far behind is Naofumi and Rino catching up to the enthusiastic Demi-Raccoon who separated from their group.
"Hello everyone" Rino greeted them all with a cheerful wave while Naofumi simply nodded towards them in silent acknowledgement. But at the very least, the Shield Hero is sporting a much more genuine smile when compared to before.
Naofumi was just about to ask Kirin about his fellow Hero's whereabouts when a new voice loudly made itself known to the Sword Hero's party.
"WWHHOOAA! Are you the other Filolial that the nice dress lady told me about?!" A cute little blonde girl with angel wings and sparkling blue eyes exclaimed in excitement as she stood in front of the startled Filolial King.
"Hello! My name is Guinevere, and I'm a Royal Filolial too. It's so nice to meet you" the young Filolial Queen greeted her male counterpart before doing an adorable, picture-perfect curtsy.
Arthur looked like he was frozen in place at the sudden appearance of the cute girl. He was absolutely still, staring at the girl in question.
"Um, hello…? Are you feeling okay?" Guinevere, seeing that her fellow Filolial was unresponsive to her greetings, reached her hand up and waved it in front of Arthur's eyes.
It was only when she did so did Arthur finally snap out of his trance and start to fidget a little, which was quite uncharacteristic of him.
Arthur had never felt what he was currently feeling right now in his one month of existence. Why was he nervous all of a sudden? He had never been nervous whenever another female had praised him for his cute handsomeness.
But when he first saw the girl who introduced herself as another Royal Filolial, it was all it took to take some of his usual composure away for the first time in his admittedly short life!
It took Arthur a few moments to be able to gather his wits before remembering his parent's etiquette lessons. So, with a small burst of white smoke, Arthur transformed into his humanoid form.
Now that both Filolials were in their human form, all of the females present stared at the pair of blonde haired, angel winged children with wide, delighted eyes.
Arthur was slightly taller than Ginny in his human form and he was wearing his noble-looking knight trainee outfit. Guinevere was in her simple yet elegant dress, it looked as if a young prince and princess of two allied kingdoms were meeting each other for the first time.
Arthur, the prince of the Kingdom of Swords and Guinevere, the princess of the Kingdom of Shields.
They just might be a match made in heaven!
Finally, able to get over his initial bashfulness somewhat, Arthur took a few steps closer to his fellow Filolial.
"H-hello to you too… my name is A-Arthur. It's a p-pleasure to meet you as well G-Guinevere" Arthur replied in a tone that tried its best to help keep his composure. He may have stuttered a bit, but it was still polite, nonetheless. Doing a gentleman's bow also helped.
Both sides held the "proper-manners" act for a solid 2 seconds before Guinevere burst into a goofy and innocent laughter.
Arthur was a bit startled at first. But Guinevere's infectious laughter soon melted away any nervous feelings he had felt.
Arthur soon joined in on the laughter as well.
" "You've been getting etiquette lessons from your mom, haven't you?" " the two humanoid Filolials asked in sync. Causing them to pause at their identical question before getting reduced to humorous laughter once again.
"It's nice to meet you Arthur! You don't have to be nervous around me, I won't kick! The only guy I'll ever kick is that Spear Guy!" Guinevere said to Arthur, maintaining her loveable smile.
Arthur was puzzled at first at the mention of this mysterious "Spear Guy" is. But Arthur soon dismissed it as he slowly lit up into a smile at Guinevere's response that she wanted to become his new friend.
"And you can call me Ginny if you want. My mommy, daddy and big sis's Raphtalia and Rino call me that!" Guinevere added.
Arthur was now fully smiling, with his previous trace of nervousness now completely gone.
"Okay, Ginny!"
Needless to say, with the exemption of Naofumi, every female who witnessed the cute interactions between these two avian shapeshifters couldn't help but gush over how cute they are together.
As the two humanoid Filolials got acquainted with each other, happily chatting and literally poking at each other in fascination, the others soon got to their own conversations.
"You guys raised a Filolial too, huh? I bet it caused quite the hassle back when she transformed into her human form for the first time" Rifana said to Raphtalia with an amused smile.
"You have no idea..." Raphtalia could only sigh. Taking a moment to remember all the time and effort that they had to take for them to satisfy Guinevere's initial and long-term upkeep.
"Little Ginny was kind of a handful" Rino added her own piece as she also sighed in remembrance.
"Considering how useful Arthur was during the Wave of Catastrophe back in Lute Village, I think purchasing my own Filolial is pretty much a worthwhile endeavor" Naofumi replied proudly about his decision, before getting back to more serious topics as he asked, "So where's Eugeo? I have a few things that I would like to share with him before I meet up with one of my clients after lunch"
"Oh, Master Eugeo is probably back at Erhard's Shop by now" Anna answered as she just finished loading up their supplies inside Arthur's carriage, "We just got back from a Guild Quest that we took more than a week ago. Master got a lot of precious materials during that Quest, so I'm pretty sure he also has a few things to share with you too"
"I did overhear some rumors about that" Naofumi couldn't help but grin in anticipation on this piece of info as there's no doubt that his fellow Hero has unlocked some good Sword forms during his Quest in the high mountain peaks.
Naofumi was just about to ask Anna about that rumor of Eugeo defeating a dragon when the green jewel in his Legendary Shield started flashing. Signifying that someone is trying to contact him through his Orb Shield.

TTTTSSSSS...
"Even though I have been watching you work on my forge from start to finish..." Erhard spoke with great awe in his tone as Eugeo finished his final work before raising his voice into disgruntled disbelief.
"I still find it hard to believe that you..! somehow managed to forge - not one, not two, but three high-caliber swords... in your very first try!"
Erhard looked like he's very close to crying as the kind man can literally feel his pride as a blacksmith receiving a devastating blow! After all, he spent years honing his skills in the art of blacksmithing to get where he is now. Sure, he may not be the best blacksmith in the world. Erhard knows and accepts that the title will forever be out of his reach as he lacks the magical and alchemy skills to do so. But damn it, he worked hard through blood, sweat and tears to become one of the top smiths in all of Melromarc.
And yet, right in front of him, is the Sword boy who admitted that he never once raised a hammer in the smithy before in his life -
was able to create three exceptional blades of immense power...
on his first try...
and in less than 4 hours!
Eugeo couldn't help but feel bad for the poor man as, technically speaking, he was only able to create those powerful blades because he cheated. Just as Alice explained to him a few days ago, the Legendary Sword automatically increased his proficiency in blacksmithing. The only limitation being that it's extremely specific.
"If it makes you feel any better Mr. Erhard, my blacksmithing skills only applies on swords and daggers" Eugeo sheepishly admitted as he softly pats the sniffling blacksmith's back while wiping away the accumulated sweat from his face, "The Legendary Sword seems to focus my blacksmithing skills solely on sword and dagger type weapons"
Fortunately, Eugeo's assurance concerning his limitations really did make Erhard feel better, much to the Sword Hero's sweet relief. The bald man standing up straight and proud after getting his spirits back, before pondering on this new nugget of information that the Sword boy has revealed about himself.
"That's a bit curious. If that is the case with you, then that would mean that the other Legendary Heroes have the same limiter. With Shield boy only being able to forge shields while the Bow and Spear Heroes can only craft their respective Weapon types, correct?"
Eugeo simply nodded in confirmation as that was the very same conclusions that Alice reached. Looking at his new creations that are resting on the table, the former woodcutter couldn't help but admire his work. Even though he already knew about the Legendary Sword increasing his proficiency in crafting sword type weapons, he himself is still surprised on how good the three blades turned out.
The dark purple and partially translucent sword on the far left is actually a reforged version of the [Aquarion Blade]. The very same sword that Eugeo gifted to Kirin a few weeks ago. Now being renamed the [Dark Spring Sword] as some of Gaelion's Dark infused scales and talons were mixed in with its metal. Giving Kirin a boost in her own Dark magic capabilities and its ATK power and overall stats are now several notches greater than what they were before.
The blade in the middle, on the other hand, is a new weapon altogether. Following his previous conjecture, Eugeo focused on the Wind element on this blade so it can work in conjunction with Rifana's Wind magic. Increasing her attack power and agility while also reducing her stamina consumption. The weapon being named as the [Viridescent Sword] upon its completion.
And finally, at the far right, is the most exotic armament among the three. An almost identical recreation of Anna's signature weapons. But instead of the usual silver color of steel, the needle-like daggers are now the darkest shade of violet with the chains being pure black. The blades themselves being forged from Gaelion's teeth and the chains made from his scales, the now finished work of art is now named as the [Twin-Chained Dragon Fangs].
Not only are they more resistant to the elements like fire and ice, they are now also more conductive to lightning magic. Giving Anna a huge buff in inflicting electro damage and increased chances of causing paralysis to her targets who get hit with her magic attacks.
'The girls are going to flip once they see their upgraded weapons' Alice gleefully commented as Eugeo started to change out of the blacksmithing outfit that Erhard had lent to him for his work, 'I can already imagine the looks on the girl's faces when they see your gifts for each of them'
'Knowing Anna, she just might go ahead and give me a passionate kiss at the lips' Eugeo could only chuckle to himself in thought before proceeding to use Weapon Copy on his three finished works...

Eugeo couldn't help but grin as he read the details concerning his three newly acquired blades. Especially on the copy of Anna's signature weapon as it will no doubt come in handy in the future.
Feeling a stronger sense of accomplishment within himself from acquiring them when compared to the swords that he unlocked from absorbing monster fragments. Most likely because, unlike those other sword forms... these three blades are not only products from his own efforts, but they are also meant to be gifts for his 3 possible wives.
'Still not used to that thought' Eugeo grumbled to himself as he once again tried to keep last night's dreams out of his head.
After cleaning himself up and reapplying his signature "Sword Hero's" armor, Eugeo decided that now is the perfect time to contact Naofumi. Since the Fake King and the Three Heroes' Church are still treading on thin ice with the great number of the common citizens, Eugeo can now consider it safe enough for him to interact with his fellow Hero more openly. And so, with this assurance, Eugeo finally asked Alice to contact Naofumi with their [Communication Ability].
Morphing the Legendary Sword into its Crystal Ball form, Alice gladly activates its exclusive function. Quickly establishing a connection with Naofumi's Legendary Shield.
They didn't have to wait for too long as the Shield Hero's face slowly materializes within the orb.
"Hey there Naofumi"
"Hey Eugeo"
As Erhard stood there on the side looking a bit awestruck at seeing another amazing ability that the Legendary Weapons granted to their wielders, the two Heroes continued to converse...
"I heard from Mr. Erhard that you've kept yourself busy for the passed week or so. It's good to know that you're starting to come into your own at being a Hero. Despite being the one getting the rockiest start out of the 4 of us"
"Like your one to talk, Mister Dragon Slayer" Naofumi replied back in a snide yet mischievous manner.
"Dragon slayer? What do you mean by that?" Eugeo tilted his head to the side in genuine confusion. Sure, he killed a Snow Wyvern which could be considered a sub-species of dragons, but he's still no match to a full-fledged one like Gaelion. Misunderstanding Naofumi's words, Eugeo deemed his Dragon Slayer title as unimportant while shaking his head, "Anyways, me and my party just got back in town and I have more than a few things to share with you"
"So I've heard" Naofumi said in mild amusement. Seeing Eugeo's baffled face, he purposely swiveled his arm so the Orb Shield is now aimed at Anna and the other girls.
"It's okay Master Eugeo" Anna playfully said as her face replaced Naofumi's in the Orb's field of vision, "We ran into Sir Naofumi while we were finishing up our shopping. So, we already told a small bit about our time away and on how you wish to share some of your spoils with him"
"Is that so? Then that just makes things easier" Eugeo said before turning back to his fellow Hero, "I'm currently at Erhard's Blacksmith shop. We'll talk more later once all of you get here"
"Will do, I also have a few things to share" Naofumi said with a slightly prouder tone, "and I made a few breakthroughs of my own when I tried my hand in crafting, magic gem crafting that is"
"Really? I haven't heard of that one before. Looks like we've both been busy for the past several days" Eugeo bemused in pleasant surprise before turning his attention to the girls who are listening to their conversation.
"As for you girls, I have a surprise present waiting for each of you back here in Erhard's Shop. Consider it my way of..." Eugeo paused for a second as he blushed ever so slightly. Scratching his cheek before quickly blurting out, "Consider it my way of consummating last night's counsel session. So hurry back, okay?"
" " "U-Understood Master/Sir Eugeo" " " the Sword Hero's party (with the exemption of Arthur who was too busy listening intently to Guinevere's story of her racing with a dragon and winning) stuttered out with embarrassed expressions.
"See you all later then. Bye" Eugeo said in finality as he waved at the orb's screen before relinquishing the connection.
The Shield Hero and his party were left a bit in the dark on what the Sword Hero meant by his last statement. Although Naofumi and Rino were experienced enough to see it as a private matter and didn't pry about it.
Their resident Demi-Raccoon however, not so much.
So when Raphtalia worriedly asked her best friend about this so-called "counsel session", all she got is a brightly blushing Rifana who exclaimed in a fluster that it's a secret. Needless to say, their short journey back to Erhard's shop became much more awkward than necessary as Kirin and Anna also refused to talk.
The only thing that lightened up the awkward atmosphere is the cheerful chattering that Arthur and Guinevere were having as they pulled their respective carriages side by side to their destination. Arthur now taking his turn in sharing with Guinevere stories of him and his party taking down the Snow Wyvern.
He was about to elaborate on the fight he had done in Siltvelt's wave, but when his aunties realized what he was about to tell his new friend, they quickly silenced him and reminded him that the fact that they had been to Siltvelt had to remain a strict secret for the time being – at least until the Three Heroes' Church was out of the equation.
This bit of secrecy did confuse Naofumi's party. But since they knew that they could trust Eugeo and his party members, they decided to let them keep their secret for the time being since it seemed to be important that they keep their secret. So, they would ask about it another time.
Meanwhile, Mash (who has decided to stay mostly silent during the entire exchange since she wasn't needed) couldn't help but giggle and squeal in delight from within the mindscape. Temporarily loosening her link with her Kohai to spare him from her migraine inducing squeals as she witnessed the Filolial King and Queen getting along so swimmingly.
It didn't take long for the conjoined parties to reach their destination as they soon arrived at Erhard's doorstep.
"Hey father! Look, look!" Arthur hollered with great enthusiasm as he entered the establishment, presenting his female counterpart for Eugeo to see, "I made a new friend!"
Stepping right beside him is a blonde little girl with a pair of similar angel wings on her back, cheerfully greeting Arthur's father figure with a polite curtsy,
"Hello sir! My name's Guinevere! Nice to meet you"
Eugeo couldn't help but take a step back with widened eyes as he tried to process the level of cuteness that the two Filolials were exhibiting, "I-It's a pleasure to meet you too-!"
Unfortunately for Eugeo, Alice (who wasn't able to cut her mental connection with him in time) ended up unintentionally giving him a full powered squeal as she gushed over how absolutely adorable the two humanoid birds are! Especially when they were together!
"W-Welcome back everyone" Eugeo shakily greeted his companions with a smile while massaging his temple in an attempt to soothe the migraine before facing his fellow Hero with an outstretched hand, "And great to see that you're doing well, Naofumi"
"The feeling is very much mutual, Eugeo" Naofumi replied with a small smile of his own.
"So, I see that you decided to buy a Filolial egg as well" Eugeo remarked, eyeing Arthur and Guinevere happily chatting together.
"Yeah, we did. Seeing how much of a help Arthur seemed to be during the Wave in Lute village, I thought it may be a good idea to have one of my own" Naofumi answered as he also eyed the two Filolials' interaction.
"Arthur seems like he's happy to have found someone of his own kind. And you named your Filolial Guinevere? That's an… unusual name… I don't think I've heard of it before" Eugeo said.
Remembering that Eugeo was from a different world, Naofumi decided to explain.
"I was actually going to name her Filo when she first hatched, but… Mash-senpai wouldn't have it, saying that it was really uncreative" The Shielder explained.
Eugeo and his party gave an awkward laugh, silently agreeing that it was a rather uncreative name.
'Well, can you blame me? If she really is going to be a Queen of the Filolials, she needs to have a name that befits her title. In my world, there was a King named Arthur who ruled his kingdom alongside his wife: Queen Guinevere' Mash explained to everyone.
"Oh! You mean you named her so that she could be matched up with little Arthur? That's so romantic!" Rifana swooned at this revelation.
"I know, right?! That's exactly what I said when I first heard about this!" Raphtalia added in. Both demi-humans laughed in delight as they continued to look at the two Filolials.
Everyone in the blacksmith shop couldn't help but smile as they saw the reactions of the demi-humans and the happily chatting Filolials.
Looking at the scene before her, Rino now finally understood why Raphtalia had reacted the way she did when her master had explained why he had given their new Filolial her name. She had already known that the two Filolials would get along swimmingly when they met; and the scene before her was the proof.
Eugeo and Alice were surprised at the piece of information that Naofumi and Mash had named their Filolial after a Queen who had a husband named Arthur.
'Oh~! How sweet! Those two already look like a prince and a princess! All that's missing are their crowns!' Alice said delightedly.
'I couldn't agree more!' Mash chimed in enthusiastically.
"Well… Judging by how well they're getting along now, I don't think they would mind becoming a couple in the future…" Eugeo commented.
"Let's wait and see what happens first" Naofumi said.
Raphtalia and Rifana finally managed to calm down from their romantic madness. It was then that Rifana finally noticed the table beside the Sword Hero with a tarp covering the weapons that are underneath.
"Are these the gifts that you were talking about Master Eugeo?" Rifana asked curiously as she approached and pointed at the table in question.
"Yes, those are the gifts that I was referring to" Eugeo answered with a pleasant smile before gesturing for Naofumi to join him as he unveils his three creations, much to the Shielder's mild confusion, "This actually has something to do with the breakthrough that I discovered for some time now. Although I was only able confirm and test it out a few hours ago"
As they all gathered around the table (with exemption of Arthur and Guinevere who weren't really interested in weapons and are too busy chatting with each other), Eugeo removes the tarp to reveal the items hidden underneath.
"That is..?!"
"It's my..?!"
"Oh wow..?!"
Kirin, Anna and Rifana (precisely in that order) along with Naofumi, Raphtalia and Rino gasped in amazement and wonder as they marveled at the three masterwork weapons that are being displayed.
Eugeo then picked up the three blades one by one and handed each of them over to their intended wielder...
"The edge... and its weight... it's all wonderfully made" Kirin said in awe as she closely inspected the reforged blade's sharpness and balance.
"It's beautiful!" Rifana stuttered out in a fluster as she held and admired the new and improved blade her beloved hero had made for her.
"Oh sweet momma!" Anna giddily squealed as she all but hugged her recreated twin blades close to her bosoms. Like two babies that needed to be cherished, "How I seriously missed these two!"
" " "Thank you so much Sir/Master Eugeo!!!" " " The three girls said in a cheerful chorus before they excitedly went outside to Erhard's backyard in order to do a few practice swings with their new armaments.
Erhard along with Raphtalia and Rino followed suit, feeling more than a bit curious on how good the girls' new equipment are. Especially in regards to Anna's very unusual and exotic looking choice of weaponry. Leaving the two Cardinal Heroes and their respective mounts inside the shop.
"Faaatheeer..!" Arthur whined with a small pout as he now just realized that he was the only one in their party who didn't get a weapon upgrade, "How come I didn't get a present?!"
Guinevere couldn't help but giggle as she stood beside her pouting male counterpart, giving him a consoling hug to cheer him up – to which Arthur's face reddened a little. It was making up to be an oh-so-adorable sight.
' ' (*squeal*) SO CUTE~! ' '
This unintentionally caused both father figures to receive a sharp pain in their heads as their respective Spirit partners are now sort of freaking out at the combined cuteness of their foster children. So Eugeo promised the male Filolial that he will have Erhard fashion him a new pair of talons for him to use in the near future, for which the male Filolial nodded in satisfaction.
"Wow… I'm no expert, but I could tell that those were some top-notch quality swords. I'm almost tempted to ask you to make one for Raphtalia" Naofumi remarked, to which Eugeo chuckled.
"Don't let Mr. Erhard hear you say that. I don't think he'd be very happy with me for taking away a regular customer from him" Eugeo said, half-joking and half-serious.
"Yeah… I can already picture him whining at you…" Naofumi said, giggling.
"Besides, Mr. Erhard is the real expert in smithing here… My smithing skills has its limitations even though it was boosted thanks to the Legendary Sword" Eugeo explained.
As the two Heroes were just about to sit down and start discussing with each other about their respective discoveries...
GROWL!
GROWL!
a pair of very loud stomach grumbles echoed throughout the room.
Looking at the sound's direction, the two Heroes were unsurprised to see where the noise were coming from. As both avian mounts were blushing in embarrassment for their troublesome stomachs and are now looking at their respective father figures in anticipation for sustenance.
"Why don't we talk about our discoveries while having a meal" Eugeo offered with a chuckle of amusement at their shared burden of feeding a ravenous Filolial, "Kirin showed me one of their family-owned restaurants and they were serving some really good food."
A few minutes later...
"So your basically saying... (*munch*) that each Cardinal Hero is given a boost in their crafting and blacksmithing skills... (*gulp*) as long as the weapon being forged corresponds with the Hero's Legendary Weapon?" Naofumi asked as he took another large spoonful of the fried rice that he's currently eating before speaking again, "Which in your case, it's swords while mine is obviously shields"
Eugeo simply nodded in confirmation to Naofumi while chuckling at the rather large appetite that he's been displaying ever since they arrived at the restaurant that he recommended to him for lunch.
Why is Naofumi eating much more than he usually would?
The answer is actually pretty simple...
as it so happens, the great Bow Hero of old who started the entire "Emiya's Family Menu" food business, actually hailed from the very same country named Japan that Naofumi came from.
Naofumi was so glad that he had his sense of taste fully back to him! He would have been so disappointed with this discovery if he still hadn't gained his sense of taste back yet!
Naofumi and everyone else (with the exemption of Kirin who already knew and the two humanoid Filolials who simply didn't care) were more than shocked when Eugeo explained to them on how the establishment once belonged to one of the former Bow Heroes. How the female Sword Hero of that time fell in love with the Bow Hero and him vice versa. And on how the two Heroes eventually settled down and started a family together after their duties as Heroes came to an end.
The girls of the group couldn't help but swoon and squeal at the brief love story that the two Heroes of old have shared.
And as the food was being served, Naofumi was hit by so much nostalgia and familiarity that he almost got reduced to tears when he took his first bite. Not only is the food beyond delicious, but the restaurant's collection of dishes also gave him a taste of home.
Needless to say, everyone else who have never tasted Japanese cuisine before were more than amazed at the quality of the dishes that were being served. It was only after Naofumi managed to eat his fourth serving that he felt satisfied enough to converse with Eugeo and their Spirit partners.
So after Eugeo discretely casted a mild Silencing Sacred Art around their group, the conversations soon became more serious again...
'Does that mean Sir Itsuki and Sir Motoyasu also possess this trait... with their case being on Bows and Spears respectively?' Mash asked her fellow Spirit.
'It's all but confirmed that they do share this boost in their skills' Alice answered before sadly adding, 'Although it's still uncertain if they even know about this... or if they're even willing to use them in the first place...'
"...I'll say that it's up to debate" Naofumi finished the Sword spirit's train of thought with a scowl as he still doesn't have that high of an opinion concerning the Bow and Spear Heroes, "They'll probably see it as a too troublesome a task. Claiming that they're far too busy doing Hero work to spare the time to do something that they see as beneath them"
"You think so?" Eugeo asked in concern, something that Naofumi simply shrugged his shoulders on as he just doesn't care about the two Heroes who left him for dead. If they're too blind to see the potential of Eugeo's discovery, then that's their loss.
"Putting that matter aside" the Shield Hero said with a wave of his hand as he manipulated his Stacia Window, "I think it's my turn to do some sharing with you..."
And with a final flick of his finger, two particular items materialized in Naofumi's hands, a Grimoire for Intermediate Level Magic and a book for brewing more effective potions. The Shielder informed him that they were gifts from the local Witch and Apothecary as thanks for saving their families during the Wave in Lute. Eugeo and Alice were pleasantly surprised as they weren't really expecting any rewards from them but accepted their gratitude nonetheless.
Naofumi then continued to explain to his fellow Hero about the Gem crafting skill that he picked up. But unlike Eugeo's discovery regarding their smithing skills, they found out that Gem crafting is a skill that requires a certain level of talent from the Hero in question to be usable. Something that Eugeo simply lacks due to his humble origins as a simple woodcutter.
In contrast, Naofumi is from a world with an education system that's hundreds of years ahead of its time (at least in this world's standards); meaning that the Shielder is more knowledgeable on the scientific side of things compared to all the schools in this world combined. In other words, even if Eugeo tries to pick up this skill, Naofumi's works will always be superior to his.
Upon reaching this conclusion, Eugeo decided to ask Naofumi to also make his party some accessories when he finds the time. Of course, Eugeo clarifies that he wasn't in a hurry and is willing to wait for Naofumi to equip his own party members first and pay for his works in a much later time. Something that the Shielder is happy to oblige.
When Eugeo finally asked about the whereabouts of the other two Heroes, he and everyone else in his party were surprised on what they found out.
Eugeo and Alice felt more than a bit disappointed on how badly the Spear Hero handled the entire situation that transpired in Lute Village. While the guy isn't a despicable human being like the 'she-devil' princess, he's still not taking this world as seriously as he should be. Especially if the simple concept of learning this world's currency system still escapes his thick-headed constitution.
Although Kirin, Anna, Rifana and even Alice had a pretty good laugh when they heard about the skyward kick that Motoyasu received between his legs. Courtesy of Guinevere when the Spear guy insulted her while in striking distance. And despite being a male himself, Eugeo couldn't feel much sympathy for the guy when he heard about that. Needless to say, the group felt both proud and relieved that Naofumi managed to end the entire fiasco in a good note. The Shielder coming out on top despite the numerous cheating that was happening during the race.
Naofumi also mentioned to Eugeo that during that race event, a group of mask-wearing women who seemed to be an elite team of some kind.
Hearing the description, Eugeo, Alice, and Kirin were quick to reach the conclusion that they were Queen Mirellia's Shadows, most likely sent to keep an eye on the King and the First Princess, and to discreetly help Naofumi if the situation called for it.
Naofumi mentioned to them that Rino had reached the same deduction as to who the mysterious masked women were.
Hearing this bit of information from Eugeo, Naofumi was relieved to hear that at the very least, someone fair and sensible seemed to be ruling this country…
He still couldn't completely trust this Queen just yet, since she was a direct relative of that Trash King and Bitch Princess, despite Eugeo's assurance. But if the Shadows she had sent were any indication, she really did seem to be trying to help him and his party as well as keep her idiot husband and daughter in check as much as she could.
And given his situation, Naofumi didn't have a lot of options but to put some amount of trust in the Queen and her Shadows. But at the very least, she was making a good impression on him so far.
Naofumi then continued his tale and informed them about the rumors that he overheard from the Trader's grapevine.
Surprisingly, Motoyasu was able to do some good with his time after his humiliating defeat in Lute Village. As the late-night whisperings have claimed, the Spear Hero was able to save a famine-stricken village from starvation by introducing to them some kind of legendary crop.
'We speculated that Motoyasu probably chose to do this particular Heroic act in an attempt to awaken his Spear's Spirit' Mash chimed in alongside her Kohai's explanation, 'You did label him as the Hero of the Earth after all'
"While his actions in helping that village is actually quite admirable," Eugeo commented in all honestly before finishing his thoughts, "I doubt it was enough to awaken his Spear Spirit"
'Agreed' Alice said with a huff, 'His motivation behind his actions are simply too hollow to be acknowledged as a genuine display of worth'
Everyone (aside from Arthur and Guinevere who were too busy eating to listen in the conversations) couldn't agree more as they all nodded in agreement.
Naofumi wasn't able to elaborate much about any information on Itsuki the Bow Hero as his whereabouts are shrouded in mystery. Multiple claims about his recent activities are too many to keep track on and give an accurate depiction. The only confirmed case being the revolution that Itsuki took part in overthrowing another country's corrupted ruler.
'Is it just me... ' Alice said with a giggle, 'or is Itsuki trying to copy your show of Heroism back in our home world'
The thought made Eugeo chuckle as he most likely made a fanboy in his fellow Hero unintentionally, 'He just might have awakened his Bow Spirit. Although we have no way of knowing for sure until we run into him again'
When Naofumi finally arrives on the information regarding Eugeo's actions from the past week, everyone from the Sword Hero's party felt amused at how far from the truth the rumors became. Forcing Eugeo and the girls to elaborate the true story (excluding their trip in Siltvelt of course) of what really happened as opposed to what the hearsays said about his supposedly Heroic actions.
It came as no surprise that both the Shield Hero and Spirit along with the rest of his party were nearly speechless when they heard about the Dragon Emperor Gaelion and his surprising origins. Connecting the dots in Gaelion's descriptions about his Sword Hero mother and making an educated guess. That his mother is the very same Sword Hero who fell in love and started a family with the Bow Hero who will later create the "Emiya's Family Menu" business.
Eugeo then mentions about the rare materials that he had set aside for him and the other Heroes to share. Which the Sword Hero embarrassingly admitted that he purposely left them all the way back in Mirso Village in his effort to encourage the other Heroes to journey there also. As there were a lot of ice-themed monsters there that they could farm EXP and materials from for their respective Legendary Weapons. Something that slightly annoyed Naofumi, but he can at least understand where Eugeo is coming from. Promising to pay Mirso Village a visit in the very near future.
And now, with the serious conversations out of the way, they soon started to talk about more enjoyable topics. The two parties later spent the next hour simply enjoying each other's company while sampling more of the restaurant's dishes (and later sweets) that Naofumi dearly missed from Japan.
Both groups having no idea...
that for the next few weeks...
they would end up doing clean up duty...
for all the messes that their fellow Heroes left in their wake due to their so-called Heroism.
Not much happened in this chapter aside from Eugeo coming to terms with his current/future love life, preparing his girls with better equipment and our two Heroes exchanging valuable information. I'm sorry for those who were looking forward for the Mutated Plant episode but that will be coming at the next chapter.
Which I'm unsure when that chapter will be as the results of the new voting polls below will decide on my future update rates.
NEW VOTING POLLS:
1.) Some of my readers have been asking me about when will I be starting my Fate Stay NightxDanmachi crossover fanfiction of "Black Lotus Blade Works". (For those who don't know about it, please read my Author's Note at the end of Chapter 15)
Be warned, if I do start writing another fanfic, my rate of updates for both stories will be much slower since I will be forced to juggle two worlds in my head every time I write a chapter. So I ask all my readers, should I...
- Yes, start the "Black Lotus Blade Works" fanfic even though updates would be much slower than before.
- No, finish "Blue Rose Sword Hero" Season 1 first before starting a new fanfic.
2.) I'm starting to gather more information for my future chapters and only now did I realize something important. To all those who might know since I refuse to read the source material because I don't want to get spoiled.
Do the Cardinal Heroes get teleported into the location of the Waves even though the Hero doesn't WANT to go?
- Yes
- No
- No one knows so Gadget Boy will just make something up.
3.) I got quite a number of PMs saying that I REALLY should give Eugeo the Night Sky Blade too because of how influential the Gigas Cider is to Eugeo's past (albeit in the very, very, VERY far future). So to placate those readers, I decided to give them a chance and ask all the other readers if I should take back my decision and allow the Night Sky Blade to be unlocked also.
- Yes, take back my previous decision and give Eugeo the Night Sky Blade too
- No, Eugeo getting the Blue Rose Sword and the Osmanthus Blade is more than enough.
As always, thank you for all the reviews, favorites and follows. I'm open for compatible suggestions and any advice that you readers could give. As for those nasty Reviewers who loves to Insult us authors, please just leave us alone.
