(A/N) Gaara and Shukaku! We'll see the stadium after June! More info in the end note.
"I specialize in Biju seals, but it doesn't take a genius to realize that kid's seal is unstable," Kura noted, shaking their head. "When this is over I'm taking this to the Kazekage to make him let me fix that stupid seal."
"Agreed," Orochimaru mused, squinting out at the fight. "Ouch, that Hogo Uzu glitch child will need a prosthetic."
Kura glanced up, squinting a bit themselves. "Ow, yeah, no kidding. I'm going to start drawing up a… is that a genjutsu?" They did a Kai just in case, and the feathers moved away from them. "It is."
"A sleep genjutsu," Tsunade added, standing up. "We need to grab that kid and get him out of the village now."
"Get Shisui, he's the fastest," Jiraiya barked at Kura, and they leaped up, shunshining across the area to where Shisui was standing.
"Grab the kid and get him outside of Konoha," Kura instructed quickly. "We need to contain him before he goes full Biju mode. The sannin will follow you out."
Shisui nodded quickly, shunshining down into the stadium itself, grabbing Gaara around the ribs and hauling him up over his shoulder while the jinchuuriki growled in protest, and shunshined away. Kura didn't need to look back to know the sannin were already gone. They'd need to grab a few genin to help and then they'd follow. The more people they could get to distract the jinchuuriki and keep him away from them, the better.
"Sasuke, Naruto, Miyo, Eidoko, Shikamaru, you're with me," Kura called, randomly picking genin. "Katsu, help too please."
Katsu nodded quickly, and gestured for Kura to lead the way, which they did.
They ran across Orochimaru first, who was standing firmly in front of a dark purple barrier.
"We can't hold him forever," Orochimaru warned. "But this'll keep him out of Konoha for a while."
"Thanks," Kura replied, nodding. "Shikamaru, Katsu, can you two make sure the sannin don't have to fight off shinobi while trying to hold the barrier?"
Shikamaru yawned and nodded, and Katsu saluted them. "Roger."
Orochimaru concentrated and a door of sorts opened up in the barrier. "Be fast."
"Hold it as long as you can," Kura replied. "Katsu can do a chakra transfusion in a pinch, but it won't be great."
"I'll manage," Orochimaru bit out. "I'm not completely useless."
Kura shrugged and herded the remaining genin and Shisui through the door. "Suit yourself. Don't die."
"I'm a sannin. It takes a lot to kill me," Orochimaru replied imperiously as the door closed behind them.
"Sasuke, I've controlled a biju all of no times and thus we're going to need to pray for a bit of luck," Shisui informed his cousin. "Can everyone else make sure Shukaku doesn't kill us or something?"
"I'll be making a seal for the second you get him under control," Kura replied evenly. "I trust you three will be able to keep the biju distracted?"
"Leave it to us," Miyo chirped. "We got this easy."
"Yeah," Eidoko agreed, grinning. "Leave it to us."
Naruto nodded his agreement, and the three leaped up into the trees around Shukaku.
Kura left them to it and pulled out a scroll to begin sketching a far better seal for the biju. It'd take a bit, but they only had so much time, so they prioritized speed and simply drew up a basic biju seal to change slightly as they went.
Naruto was having the time of his life. He had something really big to throw a bunch of random jutsu at, and he had Eidoko and Miyo helping him! What more could he want! Well, other than his village not being attacked.
"Y'know what I bet?" Eidoko shouted after she'd tossed a set of water bullets at the biju. "I bet that Kiri joined this because they're still salty we stole their islands!"
"Sounds likely," Miyo agreed, and Naruto nodded agreement once both had looked at him.
"Just give us like one more moment!" Shisui shouted at them. "I think we almost got it-gah!
Naruto glanced up in time to spot Shisui hit by the tail after pushing Sasuke out of the way.
"I'm okay!" Shisui shouted from the ground where he'd fallen. He tried to get up then slumped back. "Mostly anyway. Oh hey the world looks really weird."
He must've hit his head, Naruto decided. Well he hoped Sasuke was good to do it on his own!
"I'm done!" Kura shouted, leaping up to the tree next to Sasuke. "Hold him off for a moment longer?"
"You got it!" Miyo said, waving. Naruto flashed a thumbs up in their direction, sending off another wave of shadow clones with some serious paralyzing seals.
"Hey how hot do you think fire has to be to melt this sand into glass?" Eidoko asked, somewhat rhetorically.
"Really really hot," Miyo responded, Naruto nodding along.
"Well no time like the present to try!" Eidoko decided, shrugging and placing a seal on her palm. She did a set of hand signs, then spat out a massive white hot fireball at the Biju, effectively distracting it from trying to stop Sasuke's sharingan as it's arm turned into glass then shattered when Miyo kicked it lightly.
"That was awesome," Eidoko said, almost reverently. "Let's do it again."
The biju roared and promptly sprouted a new arm, just in time for Eidoko to release another white hot fireball.
"Get up here!" Kura shouted. "Sasuke thinks he's got it, we need his attention here!"
Naruto kicked the arm and let it shatter before jumping up after the girls to land on the tree branch. Shisui was back up there, although his eyes looked super weird and he was leaning against the tree trunk like it was his only support.
A pause, and when nothing happened, not even the Biju roaring, they realized it had worked.
"Give me just a minute or two and I'll have him sealed up like a trussed turkey," Kura said, leaping at the biju and slapping their seal down onto the boy sticking up from its head. They did something, and the biju collapsed into sand while the boy woke up. Naruto cheered silently as Kura made it back to the branch before the biju disappeared from under them.
Sasuke collapsed against Naruto's side, breathing heavily and blinking slowly. They'd won. They'd won and there was no longer a biju trying to destroy the village. They just had to hope everyone else was doing just as well.
(A/N) I'm getting an inkling that the Aftermath chapter isn't going to just be one chapter…
Okay so June info. I'm taking a break off from June, somewhat to help just lower my stress levels, and partially so I can just work on whatever I want without a need to post. Mostly so I can be ready to fill all those empty spots on my roster. So expect to see a poll the week after June ends! As we'll be traveling a lot during June, I'm hoping to get a lot done!
