Author's Note: This story was created way before anything was revealed about Kushina beyond just her looks and her name along with everything about her home country. Thus while I will be using things that were explained and shown in the series. I will not be including everything that was as I will only include what I feel help the story I want to tell

Sometime later after revealing what Kushina learned that she could seemingly do with her charka chains. Kushina was busy wondering why Logan would have told her to keep it hidden from everyone else. After all this was merely something that she had discovered about one of her clan's signature ability. So why would she keep something like this from everyone else as they could so many upsides to this if others were about to unlock this ability themselves as well.

After all improving and exploring newer ways of doing things, should not that be the goal for anyone with an ability. As preserving tradition was important but to do the same thing for countless years was just asking for someone to come up with a counter to it. Uzumaki clan's charka chains were strong but they were not unbeatable and Kushina herself was no master at using them…at least not yet.

So while she did not let Logan see her doing it, she continued her training in her ability to summon a single chain link. One that she could make explosion on her command and with practice she managed to increase the amount. After training she was seemingly able to summon as many as her charka chain was long.

"Seems that the amount I can do on my own is related to just how long my chain is" the red hair genin said as she just relaxing outside her home shooting at various rocks with them.

She did not feel like training today, Logan was still out on his one of his trip to discover his way back home, and she did not have any missions today either. In fact she had been on any mission for awhile as they were waiting for a ninja from Konoha to come and examine her. Ensuring that whatever was used to control her mind did not have any lasting effects on her. After all it was consider a strange justu that was how it worked as partial unknown.

Kushina's attention was caught when she heard a somewhat scared yell as she look up after flicking another chain link at a rock.

"Did you want something from me" she asked them curiously.

The person said nothing as they were utterly shocked at what the young girl was doing as no Uzumaki was able to do something like that. Though she was not aware of it the village already had reason to wonder about her and how she was not what they considered normal even for an Uzumaki. This was because her strange ability to use a justu similar to the kage bunshin but at the same time not that justu. Uzumaki were known for many thing but causally flicking single chain link was not one of them. So upon seeing something that unknown from a girl that was already looked at questionably cause the person to run off without saying anything else Kushina at all.

'Guess they did not want anything from me then' the Uzumaki girl thought as she went back to what she was doing before

What Logan feared when Kushina showed off this ability to him was sadly going to come to pass. It was not seen as natural and as a result of that something bad was about to happen. As Land of Whirlpool which Uzushiogakure was located in suffered greatly from people with unknown Uzumaki related abilites in the past. In fact when they looked up Kushina's family they discovered that she was descend from this forgotten branch of the Uzumaki family tree. Memories of the suffereing they cause both directly and indirectly still lingered in the minds and hearts of Land of Whirlpool residents not just Uzushiogakure. Thus those from that bloodline were had became feared and hated for their abilities, out of concern that their existence would only bring more suffering.

A few days later….

Logan returned to Uzushiogakure empty handed once again as he journey around pretty far this time going to various countries looking for any leads to get back his home from here. Nothing was coming up as he was starting to wonder just where was he for real. Nothing here seem to match up and the fact that he could not seem to get a world map was also something that was worrying him as well. The one he told was one seem a little too small to be a map of the entire world but more like it was just of a certain segment of the world instead. One that gave him the feeling that they were shut off from the rest of the world here.

With his enhanced hearing, he was able to pick up various whispers and such that were being spoken about him by the residents of the village. He knew that he was an outsider that while not an Uzushiogakure ninja was able to fight them with seemingly unknown abilites they chalked up to just being his bloodline limit or some kind of unique ability. Though what he overheard about Kushina was what cause him to worry.

Logan returned to find that Kushina's home was in ruins and no one seemed to care at all. Walking by the place like there was not anything wrong with it at all. Only one person there seemingly guarding the place

"Oh Logan you are back. If you wondering about your stuff were sorry but we had to get rid of that menace completely before misfortune could befall the village yet again" the guard said.

"Talk…now!" Logan demand as slammed the guard to the ground.

Throwing them away he ran off as he could still pick up on Kushina's trail as they ran her out of the village after burning her home down and seemingly trying to kill her. Sure he heard that this was the type of the thing that happened in Land of Water. He did not expect such a thing to happen here as just how bad was it that they would instantly treat Kushina like she was deadly threat to her own home because of something she can not control.

Before he could get far he noticed he was being stopped by various Uzushiogakure ninja that claimed he was to come with them to see if he was also such a danger to their home. Kushina they were sure of because what she was known to do but they were unsure about Logan. If he was equal menace or not was something they could no longer leave to chance. They had to know and know now.

No that they found out as they could not contain Logan but he was not trying to kill them either. Getting away and finding Kushina was the top priority at the moment.
