Chapter four.

This is the fourth chapter where the story picks up four years in the events that happened during the events of Jurassic park III, and before the events of Jurassic world. Disclaimer; I don't own all the characters of Jurassic world or Jurassic park. I just wrote this for fun.

4 years later.

Soon after receiving the letter from Tim Murphy, Cathy became so glad that Tim had reciprocated her feelings for him.

Following that year, the two then kept in touch through the internet as well as writing e-mails and letters to one another, keeping a long distance relationship.
Although they went to two different schools in England and in a different state within the United states of America, they continued to carry their torch, writing love letters as well as e-mails.
They studied hard in class so that they could gain the right qualifications for the college they would wish to go, eventually Tim graduated from high school before he went and applied for the same college in Cambridge which Cathy was going to apply for. From there on they continued to carry on with their relationship together as a couple even though they had some rocky moments between them.

Whilst Tim and Cathy were carrying out their long distance relationship, Lex had finished her time in prep school and applied for an internship in Agriculture and farming, she was hoping to be the first computer hacker to use her scientific means to grow crops to get close to solving the crisis of world hunger in the near future.

A lot of things were picking up for the two Murphy kids as life went on.
When he heard that their friend Alan Grant had gone and came back from Isla Sorna, he had waited a week into his holiday before he went and paid a little visit to Alan Grant's place to see how he was going.
Taking a taxi across the city to Alan Grant's office, Tim Murphy had directed the taxi driver to the street of

14 years later

The whole of the world had changed since after John Hammond had passed on. Following the demise of dinosaur-themed Jurassic Park, a new resort called Jurassic World opened in its place on Isla Nublar years later. The Masrani Global Corporation – owner of the genetics company InGen that creates the dinosaurs – has been operating the successful tourist destination for the past ten years.

During that time, Lex Murphy has moved on with her life becoming a successful CEO of her own company called LexxCrop, a company that produces organic crops. Although her dislike of dinosaurs has grown worse since the events of Jurassic park, she still took a liking for only the triceratops and herbivores that liked vegetables, all in all she wouldn't bring herself to even go to Jurassic world or anywhere near any dinosaurs to say the least.
But luckily Tim Murphy who became a well known writer and a professional survival specialist after taking lessons in physical training and taking survival courses he could afford. When he got word that the Masrani Global corporation were working on a new and bigger Dinosaur, he started to become worried that the Masrani Global corporation might be doing plans for the military weapons division.
So he decided to go to Jurassic world to act as a guest consultant and ask a few questions about the new dinosaur.

It was during the weekend in the second week of January, Tim took the trip to Isla Nublar after his business meeting in Costa Rica to promote his latest book for show on a world tour. After his arrival in Isla Nublar he was introduced to the operations manager Claire Dearing who showed him around the complex as well as the park's attractions and its labs, including growing eggs and medical facilities.
Everything he had seen inside the medical facilities and its laboratories seemed to remind him of his grandfather's works and more. But there's nothing new at the moment, As Miss Dearing went on with her presentation, they met with Doctor Henry Wu who wasn't in his usual lab suit but he dressed smartly. Upon hearing the name of John Hammond's grandson from Miss Dearing, Henry spoke.
"Ah Mr Tim Murphy, its nice to meet the prodigal grandson of John Hammond himself. I can't begin to say how glad I am make your acquaintance especially after the events of the incident at Jurassic park."

"I can hardly forget the whole incident, since I was almost eaten by a Tyrannosaurus and electrocuted, even chased into a meat locker by a velociraptor. thankfully I survived the whole ordeal along with my sister." said Tim

"Oh I'm sorry to hear about your ordeal. it must have been such a horrible ordeal." said Henry.

"Well it was a long time ago, so I'm relieved to be still alive." Tim said.
Looking to change the subject Henry turned and he spoke, "Anyways after years of research and development, my team and I have managed to create a list of new dinosaurs for Jurassic world to attract more visitors to keep the public interests high and satisfied so that the theme park will stay open for the next year or so."

"So you're saying that they'll be newly made dinosaurs that won't eat people?" asked Tim.

"Well there will be some that will be new herbivores for the petting zoos and for the tour to see and enjoy, most of all we'll keep the public happy to know that we have the best structural engineers and builders in the world." said Henry.

"That's what my grandfather had when he built the old park and only a few people had died in building the park itself, and it was a long time ago which is still fresh in my mind." said Tim.

"Anyways steering away from the past, its always best to look to the future." said Henry.

"Indeed and let's hope that this future will be for the safety as well as for the company's benefits. Still i'm impressed with how advanced the new facilities and the tours are." said Tim.
After that, Henry woo and Claire Dearing continued with the tour with Tim for the whole of a good hour before they moved onto the control room.
Leaving Dr Henry Woo to take the elevator, Tim Murphy and Claire Dearing went down the levels until the floor stopped at a low level. The doors opened in the elevator to the control room where there was a widescreen monitor with hundreds of desks and control bases in the few rows.

It was more advanced than the control rooms of Jurassic park which were small and old, there were loads of technicians in each computer station and a few security personal and assistants walking about, Claire stepped out first before Tim stepped out as well and he had a good look around at the whole place which was well put together.
Tim walked past one of the monitors where there was Lowery who had a couple his toy dinosaurs on the work-space as he made a few examinations on his computer as part of a system's routine check. When he stopped at the work place, Tim looked upon the main screen to see all video surveillance which was showing everything around him and keeping things under control across the known parts in Jurassic world.
It was so advanced to Tim as Claire at his side watching the screens of the monitors.
She was assured that there was nothing wrong and control was over the park and the distributions were going so well for the company and management.

It wasn't long after his tour of the insides of Jurassic world, Tim Murphy took his time to walk across the street way to return to his room at the Hotel Resort where his new girlfriend Kathy Bowman was inside resting after a long flight.

Once he came to the reception, he spoke to the receptionist.
"Hello there, has any messages come through for me lately whilst i was out?"

"Um, only one from your sister. She's just checking in to make sure you got to Jurassic world safely." said the Receptionist. Tim gave a chuckle before he spoke. "Okay I'll give her a call as soon as I get to my room and I will tell her that i got here safely and that I'm with my girlfriend."
With that the receptionist nodded before Tim turned to the right and went off through the hallway leading to the stairway, he approached the elevator and pressed the call button. He waited for a short while until the doors opened up and he went inside the elevator, once he stood in the elevator he pressed the button for the third floor.

Room 323. 10:45am

In the hotel room, an adult Cathy was resting in bed after a long flight to Isla Nublar.
When she woke up from her nice long nap, Cathy breathed a sigh and turned her head to the window. Seeing the light peeking under the curtains, she drew a small grin and then she pulled her sheets aside to climb out of the bed.

Standing up from her bed she walked towards the curtains and opened it a little to see the sun shining upon Isla Nublar. Knowing that the day was clear, Cathy turned away from the curtain and then walk off towards the bathroom. Entering the bathroom, she closes the door behind her when someone comes up to her room door outside.
Tim Murphy was standing outside his door when he found his key-card and then swiped it on the lock before opening the door. He stepped in through the doorway, entering the room when he spoke. "Cathy, are you in here?"

"Yes I'm just in the bathroom, I'l be out in a minute or two." Cathy answered.

"Cool, I'll wait whilst you finish up. I have to tell you about my meeting at Jurassic worlds control centre. The attractions have been quite entertaining." Tim said as he went along the hallway, he took off his jacket before hanging it up in the closet before he went over to the bed to sit down.
Cathy then opened the bathroom door before she stepped out to come towards Tim before she spoke.
"I'm glad that you had a good day at the Control Centre, did you get to see any new Dinosaurs?"

"Well there are not that many new dinosaurs that I've seen except those that are displayed in the Park itself, still I think Doctor Wu is working on a new dinosaur to raise the public's interest in the park again and I'm just hoping that it won't cause any trouble like what happened to my grandfather's previous park." said Tom.

"Tim that was what, a long time ago and you still haven't gotten over it?" asked Cathy.

"Have you managed to get over the incident when you got attacked by a group of compees?" Tim asked to counter her question which brought up a point to Cathy who just looked at him in thought and then looked down on the floor. Cathy walked up to him and then she spoke. "I try not to think about the little dinosaurs, and of course I did managed to control my anxieties. There were times when I can still feel them biting me on the ankles and all over, it was so scary."

"Understandably I mean if you got chased by one or two of those Velociraptors, you'd be having the worst of nightmares of the sounds that they make. Anyways its in the past now and I'm relieved that those raptors aren't around to torment me." Tim explained to Cathy who then took her seat beside him.
She reached out to take his hand before she looked at him and she spoke.
"I can agree with you now Tim, it's all in the past. Tim, I want to talk to you about something." Cathy started as she held his hand. Tim started to grow a little concern when he asked her.
"What is it Cathy? Is there something wrong?"
Looking at her boyfriend's face, Cathy spoke:

"Actually something wonderful has happened to me, in fact I wasn't sure if it was true but there's a possibility that I might be having a baby Tim."
The news that Cathy had given to Tim had made him go still as if he was in shock.
It took Tim only a few seconds before he found himself fainting onto the bed.
Cathy began to giggle upon seeing Tim's reaction to the news that he was going to be a father of her baby, although she was surprised by the news at least she didn't go into shock like Tim did and she became so happy to have a child growing inside her. So she gave Tim the time to wake up on his own.

12:20pm at Room 323.

It was almost an hour or so before Tim had regained consciousness since he had received a shock of news.
When he woke up from his daze, he raised his head to look around the room to find Cathy sitting at the table in the corner. That was when he remembered that Cathy had told him that she was pregnant.
Sitting himself up from the bed Tim took a breath in and then exhaled when Cathy turned her head to see that he was up.
She smiled at him as she spoke. "I guess that it was a shocker for you to find out about my condition. Believe me Tim, I'm just as surprised as you are and its so unbelievable that we are expecting a baby."

"You're not the only one who thinks its unbelievable Cathy, I mean we're talking about my baby as well as yours.
We're not even married yet and its not often that we talk about marriage and starting a family together.
Now I'm afraid of what your parents would say if they would find out." Tim said as he sat on the bed.

Cathy stood up from her chair and walked over to sit on the bed in front of Tim, she spoke.
"Look Tim we're not going to tell my parents. At least not until we find out from the doctors on the mainland to confirm that I'm pregnant, we can find how far along I am with this baby. If that's the case then we can get married in Costa Rica and surprise my parents with the news. What do you think?"

Tim sat on the bed as he thought on it whilst Cathy looked on him and then he looked at her as he spoke.
"I believe that we might have to plan a private ceremony after we see the doctors at Costa Rica, so in that case I've been holding onto something for a while."
Tim moved to the side to get out of bed, once on his feet he went to his suitcase at the windows.

Cathy watched Tim as he opened up his suitcase pockets and then dug into find a box inside before he turned to Cathy and walked over to her. Standing in front of Cathy as she watched him, Tim looked down at her and he spoke. "Cathy Bowman, as we both know that we've been together for a long time since we reunited.
I've been saving my mother's ring for almost a while since before coming to Isla Nublar and as we've moved in together I have thought about the future as much and if you ware pregnant, I wish for us to raise this baby together."

Upon hearing those words from from Tim, Cathy couldn't help herself but draw a small tearful grin as her eyes started to water. Leaning forward towards Tim Cathy brought her arms up and she wrapped them around him in a tight embrace.
"Tim, you really are such a great guy and I'm glad to have you as a boyfriend. So I was hoping that maybe we could get married before we leave Costa Rica." said Cathy.

"If there's much time in next week, we can elope at the local church cos call me old fashioned but I'll be damned if I'm going to have a baby with a girl I haven't made a proposal to." Tim said to Cathy, drawing a small grin before he spoke.
"Cathy I've been wanting to ask you something for almost a month now. So therefore I would like to ask..."

"Timmy whatever the question you ask, my answer is yes I will Marry you: Cos I too will be damned if I'm going to have this baby out of wedlock." Cathy answered for Tim before she leaned forward and kissed him on the lips. After their kiss they embraced for a moment before they withdrew to look at each other when Tim spoke.
"I'm glad to have your answer." Cathy drew a grin before she spoke. "Good then I'll make the call to Costa Rica churches to ask if they can arrange a wedding next week."
With that Cathy stood up from the bed and went to the phone to make a call to any Costa Rica churches available.
Dialing the number on the phone she pressed it a few times and then moved the phone to her ear, when she heard the phone ringing Cathy waited for at least a thirty seconds before someone had answered.
Cathy spoke to the operators about getting connected to any available churches in Costa Rica, she further explained that her fiance Tim Murphy and she were planning to arrange a private Marriage ceremony at some point during the week whilst they were in a beautiful part of the sea.
It lasted for about fifteen minutes of chatting until Cathy and Tim had finally got a compromise and found a day to arrange a marriage ceremony at San Jose on Thursday afternoon, Cathy handed the phone over to Tim who spoke to the ministry about the arrangements. The talk only lasted for six minutes before they settled for an afternoon wedding for himself and Cathy so that they can announced the news to their parents at the end of the week.

That's the end of Chapter Four. I'll be working on some Ideas for Chapter five which will feature Tim Murphy and Cathy Bowman's wedding with Alan Grant showing up at the wedding and Ellie Saddler attending the wedding with her husband and children.
