Note: Sorry it's been a while. I'm trying to remember the rest of the story. Luckily I made notes for some of the stuff I was planning to do with this story. Enjoy.

"Hey, get up." Logan said as he nudged Rogue in her side.
Rogue rolled over, moaning about being awakened. After they had eaten, the two had returned to the truck, Logan drove for a little bit and Rogue had slept for a little bit. Now though, Logan was awaking her up.
"What?" Rogue asked.
"Training." Was all Logan said before stepping outside the truck.
Rogue, reluctantly, got up and followed Logan outside. She wasn't sure where they had parked. It wasn't in the village anymore, but there were a few houses just in the distance. They'd parked in a circular clearing where it looked like they could play a game of rounders' or something if they wanted to.
Rogue pulled her coat tighter around her, stopping in her step as she saw Logan taking his top off. She was just about to ask what he was doing when he told her "Lose the coat, it'll get in the way."
"In the way?" Rogue questioned. "It's freezing out here."
"You're not gonna be able to fight with it on." Logan said, cracking the bones in his neck, readying for a fight.
"Fight?" Rogue said.
"Don't you want to get trained?" Logan said, losing his patience. "Take the damn coat off."
Rogue, not happy about this, began to slide her coat off, shivering as the wind hit her back. "Wait. I'm fighting you?" Rogue said
"Best way to train is to actually fight. Alright, so since you're going on the defensive, I'll be throwing the punches. Dodge all of them and you won't get hurt." Logan said, bringing his hands up and making them into fists in front of his face.
Rogue felt fear run through her. She found herself taking a defensive stance. A stance that would have her running into the woods as fast as she could, but she was frozen in place.
"Wait, this doesn't seem-"
Logan lunged at her, sending his left fist out.
Rogue managed to dodge it, screaming. Then saw his left arm moving backwards and his right arm going out. Rogue managed to jump back out of that one too. "Wait, shouldn't we warm up first?" Rogue asked, dodging Logan's left again by stepping back.
"Do animals very stop to get warmed up before the kill." Another right.
"But-" Another left by Logan. Rogue almost fell over a small rock buried in the snow.
"Focus!" Logan said as he throughout his right arm.
But again, Rogue kept jumping back, focusing only on the arms that were shooting out at her and nothing else.
"Stop running away." Logan said.
But Rogue didn't stop and, eventually found herself jumping back and knocking into a tree. Logan swung a left at her. Rogue moved to go right, but Logan was too fast and shot out his right arm with a fist. Rogue managed just in time to shield most of her body by bringing her arms up, but that didn't stop her from being beat to the ground. Rogue felt the fobbing in her arm that told her Logan had punched her.
"What the hell?" Rogue snapped.
"I told you not to run." Logan replied, straightening up.
"You hit me." Rogue moaned.
"I held back." Was Logan's response. "Come on Rogue. You wanna do cage fighting where people are going to be trying to beat the living shit out of you just for fun and you're bitching at me when I'm holding back?" Logan growled and stormed back to where they started.
Rogue, feeling annoyed, but a little guilty as well, started to get up, holding her fobbing arm, and follow him. Logan stopped and turned around in the same place he was before, taking the same stance.
"Again. Only this time, don't run."
Rogue, this time, feeling a bit of adrenaline now running through her body, tried to mirror Logan's body stance and waited.
Logan lunged. Rogue dodged his left, then his right, but found she was still stepping backwards. She could see Logan was getting pissed off at this and his punches were getting faster and stronger. Rogue tried to take in what he said, don't run, but was wondering how someone dodged blows without running. She thought back to any of Logan's fights. The last one, maybe. He'd purposely postponed that match so that he could show her how to fight. What had he done? A flash of a memory came into Rogue's head of Logan's strategy when he was trying to dodge.
Rogue's arms came up again in a defensive way. Instead of stepping back, Rogue stopped moving and just readied herself for the blow. As Logan went in for the blow, she caught a small smirk before she was knocked to the ground, a bruise now starting to form on her other arm. Rogue gasped at the feel of the snow on her skin. It was cold and felt like she'd had water thrown over her.
Logan stood up straight. "You didn't run. That's improvement. If you're in a cage you don't want to run and get yourself cornered. That's a fast way to a K.O. Stand up." Rogue did as he said. Thinking they were gonna start fighting again. "You're standing wrong." Logan said.
"Here." Logan stood next to Rogue, explaining how she should stand and why, pushing her into place here and there.
"Alright, round three." Logan said as he stood in front of her, readying to fight. Rogue gulped, fearing the pain behind those blows that were going to come. It was really hard to stay routed and get ready for those hits. Then he struck. Left first. Rogue took the hit in her arms, stumbling a bit, but because of her new stance, she didn't fall over. Logan nodded, then hit with his right. Rogue, didn't stumble this time and just took it. The hits weren't really that hard and she found it was the fear of getting hit more than anything. That was, until Logan started to increase the force on his fists. One sent Rogue flying again.
"Your standing still. You need to move around." Logan said.
"You told me not to!" Rogue snapped back.
"No, I told you not to run. There's a difference."
"Look, you've beaten me into the ground three times already and my arms are going numb. Don'tcha think we should call it a day?"
That made Logan growl. "You train now or not at all. What's it gonna be?" Logan asked.
Rogue swallowed. She couldn't keep hold of Logan's gaze so dropped hers down to the floor. Her eyes soon found the trunk and then she remembered a few things. She'd made this agreement with Logan to train so that she could try making money after he left so she could, at least, buy herself food rather than steal or starve. Plus, she only had what little time they had traveling together to get her trained. Sucking it up and realising this was all for her survival, Rogue stood up and went back into her defensive stance.
The two continued like this for quite some time, the cold not bothering them much as they got worked up. Rogue was sure her arms were black and blue and all over, but she pushed that thought aside and got over it, focusing on Logan. Logan who had corrected her on a few things, but she found it was usually only after she did them that he'd start to correct her on things. Such as her dipping under Logan's punches, but doing it too many times and Logan hinting at her being good at creating openings, but not doing anything with them. There was also Rogue taking a hit, ducking under the next, getting behind Logan and trying to punch him. Logan told her she was weak and aiming at the wrong places then showed her how to arm for the gut, throat and other soft places.
Eventually, Logan called out for them to put it to bed. They returned to the truck, Logan telling Rogue to get some ice on her arms. He went to the driver's seat and started driving them back into the village so they could get some food. Only, when Rogue lifted up her sleeves to put the ice on her arms, she couldn't see any bruises. She thought that was odd, but let it go, thinking they'd pop up later.

After their meal, they returned to the van and decided to stay where they were for the night. Rogue was tired from the fighting and Logan wanted a break from driving but didn't want Rogue to drive. Instead, he had another idea come to mind.
"Alright kid, I taught you a bit more about defending. You tell me a bit more about my past. And no driving the truck while I'm out, got it?" Logan said to her.
Rogue nodded. Too worn and full from a full meal to argue. Logan lay back and the bed and Rogue came over to him, touched his head and gasped as she felt his life energy rush into her. It hurt, but the pain eased a little as his life started to fade more, then she pulled back once his eyes fell shut.
Rogue sat on the floor, panting as she tried to ease and relax the memories in her head. Instead of just going straight into the memories, Rogue tried to put some away. The one's she already knew like Logan's first love and him fighting in the World War she put away easily. Others, she couldn't.
Rogue leaned back against the bed, rubbing her head to quieten things down. After a few moments of looking over the memories she had collected, Rogue decided she wanted a drink. Her eyes opened and eyed Logan's coat pocket. Without thinking, she reached inside and took some money, grabbing her coat and leaving Logan behind as she headed into the village.
Rogue ended up entering the closest bar she could find and walked up to the counter.
"Aren't you a little young to be in here?" a baby faced man beside her asked.
Rogue glared at the man from the corner of her eye. "Older than you." Rogue snorted.
"Seems like you could use a drink." The bartender said. Rogue didn't realise he was stood right in front of her. "What you having?"
"Beer. Any. Just get me a beer please." Rogue replied, fingers digging into and rubbing at her head. She hadn't realised yet, but her actions doing that and the annoyed, pained stressful look she had on her face was making her seem a lot older than she was, getting her a drink placed in front of her and everyone leaving her be.
Well, only until a certain man approached her. She thought he was sniffing her to be honest. "You travelling alone?" He asked.
Rogue looked out of the corner of her eye to see black orbs staring into hers intensely. For some reason, this hurt her head more. It was as if something in the back of her mind was scratching at her, wanting to get loose. Rogue's frowned deepened as she went back to massaging her templates.
"And why the heck do you want to know?" Rogue said, not realising that she was coming off with an attitude.
The man didn't seem to like this and she heard a faint growl come from him. The man took a seat and moved in way too close to her. Rogue felt her hair start to stand on edge. She was trapped in between that baby faced brat who she felt back away a little and this brut of a man who was all up in her business. For some reason, he terrified her and Rogue felt like she had to be very very careful with her next replies.
Careful stripes. She heard a voice say in the back of her mind. A voice that sounded just like Logan's.
"A pretty mouse like yourself shouldn't be travelling around alone. Something bad could happen to you." He said.
Rogue had to bite her tongue as she felt her response of "What, like your breath" almost escaping from it. Rogue swallowed.
Don't lie, but don't tell the truth, the voice told her. That was confusing, but for some reason Rogue thought she could trust it.
"I'm not alone. I'm waiting for someone." Rogue said, turning her face away from the strangers and went back to drinking.
"Oh, who?" The man asked.
"I don't see how that's any of your business." Rogue said, but started to feel something pointy on her back. "But just a friend. Local... Got dropped off a little while ago and just waiting for my friend to show up now." Rogue said, not lying but not telling the truth. Her friend was Logan and she was expecting him to wake up and follow her scent that was, unless she returned to the truck before he woke up.
"I see." The man said. Rogue found this man now almost stroking her back, possibly with knifes, but she didn't want to move and check. He had a sly smile on his face now. "And the man you were traveling with, who was he?"
Rogue shrugged her shoulders. "A stranger." Which again was true. Logan might have been a friend but he was most certainly a stranger to her. Rogue felt her head start to go crazy again and it was getting hard to concentrate.
"And where is this stranger?" The man asked.
Rogue sighed, feeling her head aching. "Look, I don't know what it is your after, but the guy who dropped me off- (south, tell him I'm going south) told me he was heading south. That's it. Now if you don't mind, I'd like to be left alone to nurse my headache."
The man stayed where he was for a time, then took her drink, finished it, dropped some money on the bar in front of her and left.
Rogue's head started to get clearer as the man left.
"You alright miss?" The bar tender asked her.
"No." Rogue said. "That guy drank my beer. Can I get another one, please?" The bartender nodded and poured her another one, on the house.
Rogue held the handle of her beer, but closed her eyes and went wondering in her thoughts. What she came to was one of Logan's memories. He was in the forest again and the next part was why she needed a drink. She had been starting to see this memory before in the truck and it depressed her to no end. But she had to face it for Logan as that was part of the deal. In the memory, Logan finds a woman who he loved in the forest. Kayla, her name was. Kayla Silverfox. Logan had found her murdered in the woods. He used his nose and could smell the killer. That smell, the earthy cat kinda smell was really strong to Rogue's nose. Rogue didn't know that when revisiting someone's memories she could remember their smell.
Then a picture started to form in her head. A picture of a man with blonde ear, yelling and showing two really sharp teeth, sharp nails and... black eyes. Rogue's eyes opened and she felt the panic rush in on her that she should have felt a few moments ago. Slowly, turning her head, Rogue looked around her to see if that man was still there. He was gone.
Rogue swallowed. That man, Sabretooth, was after Logan. She didn't know why and couldn't find it just yet in Logan's memory, but what she realised was she had left Logan passed out in the truck and this man, with animal senses just like Logan's, wanted to kill him.
Getting up and running out, Rogue realised that Sabretooth had approached her because he could smell Logan on her. Rogue looked around, hastily, fearful that Sabretooth was actually lurking and ready to pounce on her. But was she ran out further onto the road, she saw a bike heading in the opposite way to where Logan was. Rogue recognised the brown leather jacket that Sabretooth was wearing and began running the other way, back towards where Logan was. She was a little confused as to how Sabretooth had gone the wrong way, but the answer popped into her head.
He can smell my scent strongest around where we thought before. He's heading there. That'll give us some time.
Rogue ran straight into the truck, grabbing the keys and jumped straight into the driver's seat, starting to drive them off in the opposite direction. Rogue ended up driving for hours, hoping that this man, Sabretooth, wouldn't catch up and find them.

Logan woke up, almost shaking off the bed.
"What did I say about driving?" he snapped.
Rogue shot a look over her shoulder at him and he caught it. Something was troubling her and he got up and headed to the passenger seat. He tried to take hold of the wheel. "Let me drive."
Rogue hit his hand away, but Logan kept pushing.
"STOP!" Rogue snapped, claws ripping through her skin and stopping at Logan's throat. Rogue felt tears come to her eyes. It felt like she had stabbed herself simultaneously in the knuckles three times. Her scream of pain came out a gasp as she'd already used her breath to snap at Logan.
Logan was shocked. Then annoyed. "Stop the truck now Rogue."
Rogue shuck her head, no. "I can't." She said bringing her hand down.
"Rogue. Let me drive." Logan said.
There was a pregnant pause between them, but Rogue took her foot off the gas and climbed up and onto the passenger's seat as Logan took over driving. Rogue grabbed her wrist, still trying to deal with the pain.
"What the hell happened while I was out stripes? Why you freakin' out? What did you see?" Logan demanded.
Rogue found herself arguing with herself.
"Rogue." Logan snapped at her. He was about to stop the truck which got her attention.
"Don't stop. Keep driving. I'll tell you. Just, grrr, how do you make these things go away?" Rogue scratched, feeling her hand start to spasm a bit.
"You need to relax and stop freaking out. Strong emotions don't help." Logan said.
"Stop freaking?" Rogue said. "Stop freaking." Rogue exhaled a large breath, then inhaled and exhaled, focusing solely on her breathing.
Logan wanted to have a go at her for driving his truck, but seeing her trying to calm herself mad him feel a little bad. "Just try to relax. When your ready and you can feel the muscles in your hands ease, squeeze gently and imagine bringing them in."
Rogue did as he said and after a few minutes Rogue managed to retract the claws. Logan gave her a few more seconds until he said "so what the hell did you see?" This time when he asked, he was calmer. Rogue looked like she was about to pass out after her panic, but she was still responding.
"I, erm, I..."
"Spit it out!" Logan pushed.
"I wanna say that I think it'll be best if we grab a drink as I'm telling you, but it's not a good idea to stop or he''ll catch up and find us and that won't be good-"
"Wait, wait, what do you mean he'll catch us? Who?" Logan said, reaching out to grab Rogue's arm to get her to come back into reality.
"Hmmm, I erm, I want to tell you, but I don't think it's a good idea to tell you while driving. But then you should know. But we can't stop." Rogue said.
Rogue sat up and looked out the window. She looked around to see what was in site. But she felt hopeless. If they were to stop and stay in the truck, Sabretooth could be right behind and jump them. If they stopped and ran away from the truck, again, Sabretooth could find them with that nose of his. If they kept going and Rogue told Logan and he freaked out he could crash.
"Stripes, look at me." Logan said, reaching out, grabbing her arm again and pushing her back into her seat. He couldn't look at her as he was focusing on the road. Rogue stared at him and when he could, he looked at her with big trustworthy meaningful eyes that made her feel safe. "You can tell me. I won't freak."
Rogue wanted to argue with what he said from past experiences with him, but those eyes. This manner. She just believed him. He was pushing himself to stay calm while she was freaking out. Rogue swallowed and leaned back into her seat. Logan looked away from her and continued to drive.
Rogue began "Erm, I saw you with another woman." Logan grimaced, but didn't say anything. "You loved her... I saw you find her body full of blood in the forest and I just got stressed about your crap luck, I needed a drink." Logan snorted, almost rolling his eyes if to say you, me both. "So," Rogue swallowed and looked away from Logan. "I kinda took some money out of your jacket and went to the pub." Logan stopped and almost glared at her then. "I didn't realise what I was doing!" Rogue said, trying to defend herself. "I'm sorry! I'll make the money back up to you-"
"Just keep going. What happened?" Logan said, shrugging off the theft.
"Erm, I went to the bar and a man approached me... His name is Sabretooth." She looked at Logan to see if this sparked anything off within him. He seemed to be throwing around two things at once in his head. First, what the heck is a name like that and second was, do I know him, he seems familiar. "He came and sat next to me and started to ask me who I was with. I could feel something like knifes in my back." Rogue's mind flashed to the knowledge Logan had of this guy. "That's it, it must have been his claws. Claws like knifes. He had his claws poking into my back as he asked me questions and I felt trapped but I didn't want to tell him about you. Something... Something in my head that sounded like you told me to lie but be honest... Probably because he'd be able to tell if I was lying. I told him you were some stranger who had just given me a lift and headed south. I think he could smell you on me and was after you. I saw him take off south after you, then I ran back to the truck and started to drive us the other way 'cause, well, he just seemed like he wanted to kill you, but I don't know why." Rogue finished.
Rogue finally looked at Logan. He seemed serious and annoyed, but not at her. He seemed to be mulling this Sabretooth person over in his head. For a moment, he stayed quiet and kept driving.
"Logan?" Rogue finally asked.
"He killed her, didn't he?" Logan said in a calm manner.
Rogue felt guilty as she nodded her head. "Yes."
Logan closed his eyes for a brief moment. Rogue saw angry rush over his face at one point, his grip on the wheel tightened and Rogue was sure he was going to turn around and try to avenge the woman he loved. "Logan?" Rogue called out quietly.
Logan looked at Rogue from the corner of his eye. He just looked at her for a long moment. His emotions seemed to become confused. He was still mad, frustrated, but kind of... calm. It was like he took a deep breathe in and out of his nose and just became accepting of the situation.
"We'll keep going as long and as far as we can. Maybe pay someone to pay someone else to trade our truck for another one so we can try to make him lose our scent... But all we can do is to keep going and hope he doesn't catch up."
Rogue felt like she needed to nod, but, instead, bought her legs up and curled up on the seat.
Logan looked at her from out of the corner of his eye again.
"Rest up. You're gonna have to drive after me if we want to get away." Logan said.
Rogue nodded and as easily as if he had told her to raise her left arm, she fell asleep.
