"I am surprise you did not turn him to ash." Said a female voice
"You are right. To think that a human could survive that attack". Said a male voice
"You are both correct. It seems that we may have found our summoner". Said Azazel before Naruto passed out
Unknow location
Naruto began to stir slowly as he felt a warmth spread over his body. His senses began to return to him as he felt the presence of two others next to him. He tried moving his arm. When he felt a palm stop him from moving.
"Hang on there big guy, we are almost done here".
Naruto didn't recognize the female voice speaking to him. He was also finding it hard to speak. Beginning to remember what had happened before blacking out and wondering where he was now. His eyes opening slowly, he noticed that it was two females next to him. Looking at them closely he saw that their hands were glowing green.
"(Hey fox, where are we?)"
"(Naruto, you are finally awake. I believe we are in the medical facility, your fight with Azazel did not end well)".
"(It seems that you knew Azazel. Never thought you knew any dragons)".
"(To tell you the truth, I did not think that they were still around. Long ago during the early days of chakra, dragons roamed freely all threw out the land. But not long after we the tailed beast came to be, did they all just vanish").
"(Vanish? Did the other tail beast try to kill them off?)"
"(Do not be foolish boy. We had no reason to fight the dragons. Unlike you humans that fear everything, dragons live by a strict code based on honor, respect and power)".
"(I see, that explains why you told me not to hold back)".
"(Correct once I realized that it was Azazel, I knew how bad our situation was. Truth be told I was surprised he is here)".
"(So how do you know Azazel?)".
"(I'll explain that later, you should be healed enough by now to move)".
Naruto just mentally nodded at his partner. He began to sit up, being able to get a good look at the two women sitting next to him. The woman that was sitting to his right had long green hair. Her eyes were brown and her skin tanned, she was considerably curvy. To the point that her nurse outfit looked like it was going to burst. The woman to his left had long orange hair that was braided into a ponytail. She had green eyes and white skin; she was also in a nurse outfit. But she was on the skinnier side, reminded him of Sakura and Ino.
"Who are you two?"
"Well I am Kaname". Said the green haired one
"I am Sue". Was the orange haired one's response
"Alright, my name is Naruto Uzumaki. Where exactly am I?"
"You are in our hospital. You were brought here, after Azazel knocked you out".
Naruto's ears perked up as the voice sounded familiar. He recognized the voice from before passing out. Looking over to the direction of the voice, seeing that it was a guy and a girl standing at the door. The guy had blue spiked hair and black eyes. He wore a red button up shirt with a black undershirt, torn blue jeans and combat boots. Naruto also notice that the guy was built like himself. But he did appear to be on the slimmer side and was wearing what appeared to be a neckless with a dragons head. Turning over to the girl she was wearing a blue tank top and fishnet under shirt. She had jean shorts, black combat boots and had the same necklace as well. Her chest was well developed, her stomach was flat and toned and her legs showed great definition.
"Hello who are you two?" asked the blonde
"Ah yes introductions I am Sarah, this is my brother Aizen. We have been waiting for you to wake up".
"How long have I been out?"
"Only a few hours, that healing factor of yours is really something". Said Sarah smiling a bit
"A few hours!? How is that even possible?" Asked the blonde remembering all the time he had been chased down and beaten. Remembering that he had never recovered this fast.
"How about we show you". Said Aizen motioning for Naruto to go with them
Naruto in return nodded as he tried to stand up finding it difficult to even do that. He notice the two girls were about to help him but suddenly backed away. Looking back at the door he saw Aizen had a stern look on his face. Finding his strength, he gingerly stood up. Looking down he realized he was half naked. The top part of his body was covered in bandages and he was in his boxers.
"Oh no worries we are getting you some new clothes. Your chains are with lord Azazel. He wanted to look them over after your fight". Said Sarah
Naruto just nodded as Kaname stood up and handed him a white robe. He thanked them both for their help and walked out behind the siblings. They made their way through the building, Naruto realizing that they were going down. Coming upon a set of large wooden doors the siblings opened them and motioned for Naruto to go in. Walking in he looked around and saw that it was a large room with multiple wholes in the ground. Getting near one of them, he saw that they were all filled with water. It had to be some of the clearest water he had seen but there was a smell to it. Looking around he stopped at a tub that seemed to be crusted over with a white substance. Walking to it he was surprise that he found someone in the tub covered in the white substance. The person looked like they were asleep, he kneeled and try to reach out. But was stopped by Sarah who grabbed his arm.
"Now hold on, he isn't ready yet".
"What is going on? Is he ok?"
"Yes he is this is our reviving chambers".
"Reviving chambers?" asked Naruto turning back to see Aizen
"Yes, you see there are these herbs that grow outside our village. We have used them for years in our healing ointments. Not long ago during one of our sparring matches however we had a incident. One of our guys got knocked out and thrown into a river. It took a while to find him and when we did he was unconscious with half his body submerged in the water. We pulled him out and saw a white substance covered his wounds. When it was removed we saw that his wounds were healing quickly. Going up the river we found that the herbs we have used grew in the river. After that we spent some time studying the water. We found out if someone were to be submerge in the water for a long period of time they would be healed faster. This is how we were able to heal you so quickly".
Naruto just stayed there in shock, he knew all about healing ointment and herbs. He had never heard of an herb that could do this. Beginning to go deep into thought of all the possibilities of this water and what is the limits of it. He was so deep in thought; he did not notice Sarah getting closer and closer.
"The look on your face tells me that you are running through all of the limits of the water. This is great that means that you are a thinker like me". Naruto just turned his head to see the overjoyed look on Sarah's face
"Yeah, well I do love to experiment and learning everything that I can". Said the blonde with a smile
"Yes I knew it! This is great, you're a thinker like me. Come on we need to hurry; Azazel is waiting for us".
Naruto's arm was grabbed by Sarah and was dragged out of the building in a hurry. He was brought out to the sight of an entire village fill with markets and people. In the background you could see the mounting, that appeared to have a whole in the side. Thinking to himself that must have been where he had his fight. Making their way thew the village he felt surprise how friendly the people were. They all just smiled and waved at him while the children that were playing just stopped and smiled. Nearing what is probably the largest building in the village they all went inside. Walking in Naruto realized that it was a dojo that was like the one Minato had. Looking around he notice Azazel had his back turn to them, he was looking down at something on a table.
"Lord Azazel we have brought Naruto Uzumaki as ordered. Said Sarah as she and Aizen bowed.
Naruto seeing this did the same out of respect. They waited there until Azazel turn around to acknowledge them.
"Very well you may raise your heads. Naruto it is good to see you on your feet again, you can heal faster then I expected. That is good your healing factor will come in handy. After the exam, I took the liberty of looking over your chains. They are filled with complicated seals and the material is stronger than steel. I must say well done".
"Thank you, I worked hard to create those chains and the seals are my own design. I also want to thank you for healing me. But I do have to ask, what happens next?"
"Before I answer you, tell me what are your goals?" said Azazel getting right in front of Naruto. Aizen
and Sarah just shot a quick glance at each other
"My goals are simple; I want to become strong to protect myself and those close to me. I want to surpass all those that were before me".
Azazel smirked quickly as he kept staring at the boy. His blunt honesty was refreshing to the dragon.
"Very well then, we need to get started. Tell me Naruto is there anything you need to do at the village now". Asked Azazel
"Well in a months time there will be this tournament. I am competing in it, to move up in rank in my village".
"I see, tell me Naruto in this tournament will there be a large amount of people attending?"
"Yes, not only from my village but from others as well".
"Alright! This will work out amazingly well. Go home Naruto and get enough supplies to last you a month here. We have a lot of work to do".
"Yay! It has been so long since we had anyone to train with. We are going to have so much fun Naruto". Said Sarah her eyes looking like stars
"You are right, I just hope he survives". Was Aizen's response
"You two still act like children, now then Naruto in order for you to go back and to return simply do the summoning jutsu".
Before Azazel could continue another man walked up to them and handed over a box to him. He quickly thanked the man before turning back to Naruto and handing over the box. Opening it Naruto saw that it was a new set of clothes for him. Getting dressed proved to be a bit difficult as Naruto was still considerably injured.
"Excellent I am glad that it fit. Now then Naruto hurry and return to us soon". Said Azazel looking him over before Naruto disappeared in a poof of smoke
Training Ground
Jiraiya just sat there waiting patiently as it began to get dark in the village. He could not believe what had happened. He was just sitting there staring at a small purple dragon. Who was completely ignoring him and staring forward without a care in the world.
Flashback
"Naruto!"
"(cough) Do you have to be so loud?"
Jiraiya looked around to find the source of the voice. It took him a second before looking down and finding it hard to believe what he was seeing.
"What the hell! You are a…a…
"A dragon yes, my name is Draven. Now can you keep it down". Said the little dragon as he curled himself into a ball, next to the scroll while nursing his ears.
"Is this some type of reverse summoning? Is Naruto in the land of dragons?" asked Jiraiya getting himself together and assessing the situation.
"That is correct, now then I am not allowed to speak any further". Said Draven as he began to stare forward.
"(I see, he has his orders. There is no point in trying to pry if I do he could just reverse summon himself. Should I let the Hokage know? No not yet, it is not completely unusual for this to happen with a summons. For now waiting is the best course of action)". Thought Jiraiya coming to his conclusion sitting down in front of the little dragon.
Flashback End
The old sage had about just enough when he saw Draven turn his head quickly. There was a poof of smoke as Jiraiya stood up and realized it was Naruto. He quickly walked over and got a good look at the boy who seemed beaten to hell.
"Naruto what happened? Are you ok?"
"Incredible! You made it back. I take it everything went well?" asked Draven having never seen anyone come back
"Yes I am ok. Who is your new friend Jiraiya?" asked Naruto looking at the small dragon
"OH how rude of me please allow me to introduce myself. I am Draven, the spy dragon". He said while puffing his chest in pride.
"It is nice to meet you Draven". Said Naruto in acknowledgement
"Naruto what happened to you? It looks like you where thrown through a mountain?" asked Jiraiya looking over the blonde
"It is a long story, and I will explain on the way. Draven are you going back now?"
"Yes Naruto-Sama, when you need to return just do the summoning jutsu". He said before poofing away
"Alright let's go". Said Naruto as Jiraiya followed
Namikaze Compound
Naruto and Jiraiya made there way through the compound. The old sannin looking around getting a feeling of nostalgia. He then pushed that to the side as Naruto began to explain what happened to him. Everything from Azazel, the healing waters and the plan going forward. Jiraiya just massage his tempos as Naruto sealed the dragon scroll back in the room that Minato had it in.
"Thank you for coming, to be honest with you I did not know if I was going to make it here or not'. Said Naruto as they made their way out
"I'm glad to help it has been too long since I have been here. That a side Naruto you should be careful around this Azazel. Not all summons are kind and by the sounds of this one, he is dangerous".
"Yeah no kidding, by the way I figured out who you could train".
Naruto went on to explain his plan, about his pick, about kabuto and what he should tell the Hokage. After going back and forward for a while Jiraiya finally agreed. They both said their goodbyes as Naruto resealed the compound. Looking up he could see the storm clouds forming as he began to make his way home.
Naruto's Apartment
Hinata, Ayame and Zabuza all sat in the living room while Zaku and Haku were cooking. Hinata had been reading a book. She had been worrying about Naruto ever since he had left the exams. Ayame was sitting next to her reading a scroll that Naruto had giving her awhile back. She worried as well but had faith in Naruto. Zabuza on the other hand was sharpening his executioner blade. He had heard what had happen at the exams and thought Naruto did nothing wrong. The sound of rain began to pick up before the front door swung open. They all stood up and saw that it was Naruto, who had stumbled into the living room taking a knee. They stopped what they were doing and hurried over to him trying to help him up. Naruto however put his hand up stopping them. Finding his strength once more he manage to get to the kitchen and take a seat. He took of his Gi and they all got a good look at the blonde, much like Jiraiya they were shocked. Zaku walked over to him and began to remove the bandages that needed to be changed. While he began to do that Naruto went on to tell them what had happen.
"Naruto I do not understand, you want to return to train with them?" asked Ayame as Zaku began to bandage him up again
"Naruto I agree with Ayame. We have never seen you like this before". Said Hinata
"Hey it's me; I will be fine you two shouldn't worry. While I am gone the rest of you need to step up your training. I don't know what Orochimaru is planning but I bet it wont be good. Not to mention Kabuto is still out there". Said Naruto thinking about what he had told Jiraiya
"Then we should hurry and tell the Hokage". Said Hinata
"I have already taken care of that. All everyone here has to do is train and be ready, I feel that something will happen at the time of the exam". Said Naruto in a serious tone just getting a nod from everyone else
"Alright brat don't worry. You just go and get yourself stronger, we will do the same here". Said Zabuza
Naruto thanked Zabuza as they all sat down to eat. It was funny to Naruto it did not matter that there was trouble coming. Nothing meant more to him then the time he was spending with everyone right now. If anything all it did was made him more determine. Having eaten Naruto began to feel better and walked to his room where he began to make scrolls. When he finished he grabbed his gear and walked back out to the kitchen. He handed the scrolls over to Hinata and told her they were for Sasuke and Sakura. Saying his goodbyes he quickly teleported to the Namikaze compound. Wanting to reverse summon from there just in case someone was going to be brought back in his place again. Leaving a note incase someone was brought here.
The land of Dragons
Naruto had return to the same place he was brought to the first time. Looking up he saw the whole again and could see all the stars. He never really understood why, but star gazing always seem to calm him down.
"Yay! You have finally returned Naruto. Let's go, Lord Azazel wanted to speak to you before we showed you where you will be sleeping".
Naruto just turned to face Sarah. Who seemed really eager about his return. Naruto began to wonder if she was just acting childish. "(kind of cute)" thought the blonde either way. Making their way out of the cave and back to the village. Naruto just looked around again, seeing multiple night vendors still open. It was nice being able to take a night walk without the annoyance of civilians yelling at him. They arrive in front of a large three-stories house. It looked like it belonged to royalty, as they walked through the halls. Coming upon the room at the end of the hall and making their way in. inside the room Naruto looked around and saw that is was a man cave. Pool tables, bar, fireplace, dart board and many other things.
"Good evening Lord Azazel, I have brought Naruto". Said Sarah while the two of them bowed.
"Good work, you may leave now I need to speak to him alone".
Sarah in response just nodded as she walked away and closed the door behind her. Naruto turned back to see Azazel motioned him to sit down.
"Nice man cave". Said Naruto who took his seat
"Glad you appreciate it. I have observed you humans for a long time. Not all of your ideas are bad, like that pool table over there. I found it to be a relaxing game similar to shogi".
"Didn't know you played shogi. We should have a match someday. But for now I must ask, why am I here?"
"Ah yes, but before I answer can the fox hear me?"
"Yes he can, we share a mental link that allows him to hear everything I can".
"Good just let me know what he says".
"I can actually do you one better".
Said Naruto as he made a shadow clone before standing front of it. Azazel watched as red chakra began to leak out of Naruto and entered the clone. The clones eyed began to turn red as his facial features began to change as well.
"Interesting, I did not know you could do that".
"Neither did we at first. It was just something we discovered during training with his chakra". Said Naruto as they both sat down
"Yes among other things. Now then can we get on with it". said the Kyuubi wanting to get this along
"Impatient as ever I see. But very well, Naruto tell me what type of training have you done up till now?"
"Well I have trained in everything from physical and chakra training. Then there is my studies in the art of seals".
"Yes from your test I can tell you have trained hard. For the next month however we will increase the difficulty of it. You will be training with my children Aizen and Sarah".
"Oh they are your kids; I was wondering who those two were. Tell me do what do you mean by difficulty?"
"Yes, I have helped Naruto personally with his training. He is always pushing his limits what more could he do?"
"Yes I am aware of how strong he is. Maybe I used the wrong word when I had said difficult. The training is different from what you have put yourself through so far. Now then the reason I needed the Kyuubi was to ask how much effect have you had on Naruto's body?"
"I may have helped him out a bit growing up. It's the reason he is much taller then kids his age. Not to mention his natural strength is greater then most human. Among other things I did".
"This is great, this means you will be able to help in the way I needed you to. You need to help Naruto's body get stronger. His muscles and bones need to be strengthened and reinforced to the limit. By continuously tearing and repairing his muscles. You will create stronger and more resilient tissue. When you begin to reinforce his bones they will be able to withstand higher impact. Thus reducing the chance of them shattering or cracking under the pressure. He will need to become that much stronger if he hopes to survive. Make no mistake Naruto, you will go to hell this month. If you can make it till the end, only then will you truly be a dragon summoner".
Naruto did not respond as he and the Kyuubi just sat there listening to Azazel's plan. Afterwards Sarah had returned to escort Naruto to his room. The room was actually very simple a mat on the floor, a closet and a restroom. Laying down and staring at the ceiling he began to get excited. The thought of finally finding what he was looking for. He began to question his sanity as well. Learning about the horrors he would face and yet not giving a dam.
The next morning
Naruto stood in the middle of a training ground just outside the village. It was the moments right before the sun would rise. His attention was then brought to his right, seeing Aizen and Sarah walking towards him. The closer they got he realized that they were both in ANBU clothing.
"Good morning Aizen and Sarah. You two look different".
"Good morning Naruto, what do you think? I always believed in dressing for the occasion". Said Sarah while showing off her outfit.
"Yes good morning, you have to forgive my sister. She could be very childish at times. I just play along or I won't here the end of it". said Aizen while rubbing the back of his head.
"You know, you dragons aren't anything like the way I read in books". Said the blonde as he began his stretching exercise
"Let me take a guess, you were expecting theses Old ways people. That are about manners, titles and tradition. While my father and some of the older dragons do lean towards that way. The newer generation of dragons are all about change. While we still hold honor and respect above everything else. We will not be like the dragons from my fathers time".
"I see change is not a bad thing. For now however shall we begin?"
"Yes let us begin, I first need to figure out how strong you really are. I want to do this by having you come at me with your maximum power. For now let us just stick to taijutsu". Said Aizen taking a few steps back from Naruto
Naruto just focused as he released his seals and readied himself. Aizen just stood there waiting patiently, Naruto making his move sprinting straight at him. Aizen smirked a bit seeing Naruto redirect himself. Slipping past him to his right before vanishing out of sight. Thinking to himself "(Good he is using his head)" before raising his arm blocking Naruto's kick. A small shockwave coming from them both, Aizen looking at Naruto before he vanished once more. Naruto re appeared in front of him and began to go into a chain of attack. Sarah watched as Naruto relentlessly attacked her brother, who was just blocking and dodging. After a few moments Aizen signal Naruto to stop. Naruto jumping back and powered down.
"Not bad Naruto, I can see how hard you have trained. But you do need to improve in a few areas. For starters, you send your chakra outwards enhancing your strength and putting on that show. It strengthen your body as well, but you need to do things differently. I will explain in time but trust me. By the time that we are done with you. You will be able to do something like this".
Aizen walked back a good distance from Naruto. He then simply slammed his fist into the floor. Naruto watched as the floor around Aizen began to crack. It caved in and slowly created a small crater around him.
"(All that and he just punched the dam floor)"
"(The boy reminds me of his father)" thought the Kyuubi with a smirk
"Right now your probably wondering how I did that. Not to worry, we will get you there. After all we can't have our summoner be weak. Now lets start simple with a chakra exercise". Aizen gave some instructions to Naruto before walking over to his sister.
"Well he has control and power. Although he needs to learn how to put it together differently. Don't you think?" asked Sarah
"Yeah your right about that. He really is further along then I had thought he was. We really got lucky with this one". Said Aizen as they both stared on.
Later that day
Naruto and Sarah were sitting under a tree near the training ground. He had finished his first part of training.
"So Naruto I had spent a lot of time looking over those chains of yours. I can tell you put a lot of work into them. But tell me how your hand sign speed is?"
Naruto raised a eyebrow at this, never really havent thought of it before. He usually just flew threw hand signs without much trouble. He went and demonstrated his hand sign speed for Sarah who just watched on.
"Not bad Naruto but isn't funny how hand signs are needed to perform jutsu. Tell me do you know why hand signs were created?"
"Yeah they were created to help shinobi learn how to mold chakra". Said the blonde remembering his history
"Correct that is why they were made. But tell me what would happen if one could mold their chakra without hand signs. If you are able to mold your chakra threw reflex or feeling?" Naruto just stared at Sarah, processing what she said.
"The amount of chakra control that would take. But if one could do that, then they will have a edge against others". Said Naruto thinking about Haku who could do jutsu with one hand.
"Once again correct and that is our goal. We will get your chakra control to that level and we will work on making new seals for you. That will help you bridge the gap for now".
They both began to talk about seals and all the possibilities they have. After that the days began to blur for Naruto. He would spend the early morning with Aizen, in combat and strategy training. To him it was a new experience having someone that could push him so far and toss him around for a change. Being usually stronger then most of his friends Naruto rarely went all out. But here he would always need to be at his max or get his ass kicked. Then it was a quick trip to the reviving chambers. When he would wake up it was training with Sarah. They worked in chakra training and trying to come up with new seals. At night, the Kyuubi would go to work on Naruto. This was a whole new level of pain as the blonde would feel himself tearing apart. Then on the days he had time, he would begin to train his Mangekyo. Feeling that he needed to continue working on his eyes. While Naruto was going through this, his friends were giving it their all back at the leaf.
Leaf training ground eight
Hinata was panting heavily as she was staring at Zaku. He stood in front of her his ice sword at the ready. She looked around at all the mirrors as multiple Haku appeared in all of them. Zaku then charged at her bringing his sword down as she out maneuvered him and sliding to his left. Prepared to deliver a strike to Zaku's chakra point she jumped back quickly. Managing to avoid the senbon from Haku and picking up her hand blocking the kick from Zaku. She was sent skidding back preparing herself for the brother sister combo. On the outside of the dome we find Zabuza, Yamato and Shino watching on.
"That Hinata has gotten even faster these past few weeks". Said Zabuza
"Indeed, she has been getting better with each day. To think she can fight them both at the same time".
"That is true Shino, but for right now she can only hold them off. It will be awhile before she can take shinobi of their caliber on at the same time and win". Said Yamato
"Ha Ha! That's right and that wont be easy. Trust me those two are still improving their own skills as well". Said Zabuza with a small smirk under his bandages
Before the conversation could continue the sound of the dome shattering got their attention. Looking back they saw Hinata was kneeling in front of Zaku. While Zaku had his sword pointing at her but his right arm was limp. Next to him was Haku who was sitting down trying to catch her breath as well. When Yamato and the others neared them Yamato realized Hinata was actually using mystic palm.
"Looks like a good day of training so far, Hinata are you ok?" asked Yamato
"Yes Yamato-sensei, I will be fine. I need to keep going Naruto-kun could do this easy…. No offense". She said as she began to stand up
"Yeah Naruto keeps improving so much in such a short amount of time. He is no doubt getting stronger as we speak. If we do not keep improving he will leave us behind and I don't plan on letting that happen".
"That's right and your getting stronger too Hinata. Each day you improve, to think that you can keep up with the both of us at the same time". Said Haku
Hinata just smiled at the small praise she receive. Before walking over to Zabuza and unsealing a sword.
"Alright brat I guess it's my turn. Don't expect me to take it easy on you".
"Of course not Zabuza-sensei". She said with a small bow while everyone else walked away
"Very well lets see how far we can go today!" said Zabuza as he charged with his executioner blade
Forest of death
Sasuke just stood there wiping the sweat off his head. All around him laid some of the beast of the forest. They were covered in kunai, burn marks and lightning marks. Kakashi walked out of the forest looking around and taking count.
"Good it seems that we got all the ones on the list. Usually it is Anko that oversees forest population. But I figured it would be a good way to get in some training. Hmph?" said Kakashi as he saw Jiraiya walking up to them
"It is good to see you again Kakashi. You look well and I take it that's Sasuke". Said Jiraiya
"Lord Jiraiya it is good to see you again. What brings you here?"
"Well to tell you the truth I was going to approach you sooner. But I wanted to observe were and get a feel for where he was at".
"Oh you mean Sasuke but why?" asked Kakashi as Sasuke walked up
"Hey Kakashi-sensei who's the old guy?" asked Sasuke getting a smirk from Jiraiya. While Kakashi turned to scold him
"Sasuke watch who your calling a old guy. This is Lord Jiraiya one of the legendary sannin".
"Wait what!? Your Naruto's god father!" said Sasuke remembering the scroll he got from Naruto.
"So Naruto told you. I had heard that you and him were close. I trust that you understand that you need to keep that last part between us".
"Right he said that in the letter as well. I am sorry about that Jiraiya-Sama". Said Sasuke with a small bow
"It's fine now then the reason I am here to be blunt is to train you. Naruto asked me to take you on as my student".
"What! Wait Lord Jiraiya what about Naruto?" asked Kakashi
"No worries there, I will eventually train him as well. But for now Naruto has asked me to do this so I will". Said Jiraiya still a bit sad not to be training his godson yet.
"Wait tell me if Naruto is not training with you. Then who is he training with?" asked Sasuke
"Sorry not my place to say, besides right now that is not important. What is important is getting you stronger. Kakashi I do hope you don't mind me stepping in like this and helping out".
"Of course not Lord Jiraiya, I think this will be a great help to Sasuke. That also means that I have more time for Sakura as well".
"Ah yes I had heard you had two students pass this year. Congratulations, where is she now?"
"Naruto left a scroll for the both of us before he vanished. We are supposed to do the training it tells us to do. I had finished mine before I came here. But it looks like she is struggling with hers today".
"(That Naruto is really organized) Well then shall we begin". Said Jiraiya with a smirk
And so they went on from there everyone doing their own unique training. In between the days Naruto began to send Draven into the leaf. His job was to look for Kabuto and try to find out what he was up to. The little dragon would then report to Jiraiya who would then report to the Hokage. He managed to find out that Orochimaru had killed the Kazekage and they were planning something for the day of the exam. Not being able to get all the information the Hokage just made some preparations. Jiraiya was to accompany him as his escort for starters. While they were preparing, Naruto was making leaps and bounds from where he was at in his training.
Dragon realm day before the exams
Naruto was in the middle of the training ground once more. His eyes were close as he was taking everything in with his other senses. He began to hear the storm clouds forming as the sun began disappearing. The rain began to pour down, but Naruto did not move. If you were to listen closely you could even hear his calm and steady breathing. Lightning began to strike all around him as in the flash of the last one Aizen appeared behind it. He threw a strong right hand that connected and caused a small shock waved pushing back some of the rain. Aizen eyes widen when he realized that Naruto caught his punch, without opening his eyes or being moved.
"Tell me Aizen, are you holding back?" asked the blonde while letting go of the dragons fist
"Do you really think I would disrespect you like that".
Naruto just smirked a bit as he opened his eyes, his Mangekyo staring down Aizen who also had a smirk. Naruto was sure not the same person he was when he had first gotten there. No Aizen was beginning to wonder just what kind of monster there where about to unleash on the world. Aizen took his stance as Naruto just stuck his hand out taunting him. The dragon jumped forward and took another swing but got his arm caught by Naruto who tried to slam him. Aizen showing some impressive flexibility caught himself and went for a leg sweep. Seeing this Naruto jumped up and threw a few kunai, that Aizen managed to dodge. Naruto then having touch back on the ground shot forward. He began to land a couple of heavy hits on Aizen who jumped back quickly trying to get some space. He smirked again when he saw Naruto's hit managed to split the ground under neath him.
"Amaterasu-style: Fire ball jutsu!"
Not wanting to give him a chance Naruto launch a massive black ball of fire while Aizen was still in midair. The ball began to evaporate all of the water around it before colliding and exploding. Naruto watched as multiple small fires began to spread over the area. Walking over to were Aizen should have been Naruto felt annoyed. Looking at a tree log being burn instead of Aizen. "(Why is there always a dam log)" thought Naruto as he began to extinguish the small black flames. When he was done he turned over to see Aizen standing there his clothes partly scorched. Before they could continue a voice interrupted them.
"Well that was a close one wasn't it son". Said Azazel walking up to them being accompanied by Sarah
"Good morning Azazel and Sarah, what brings you out here?" asked Naruto with a bow
"Good morning Naruto, it looks like you and Aizen weren't pulling any punches on this one". Said Sarah looking around
"Quite right, now then Naruto you truly have come along way. In such a short amount of time but it's time I fell your strength for myself". Said Azazel walking towards Naruto
"So are we going to spar now?" asked Naruto getting ready
"In away yes, this will be a pure taijutsu fight you will have one minute. Also you are not allowed to use Mangekyo". Said Azazel
Naruto deactivated his Mangekyo and took his stance while Azazel did the same. Aizen and Sarah at this point began to walk away, not really wanting to be in the middle of this. Naruto just stared at Azazel this would be the first time the two would fight each other since his test. The memory of how hard he hit him came rushing back to Naruto. But he pushed them all back because all that matter right now was this fight. He needed to show them that they did not waist their time. Azazel gave the signal to begin and Naruto leaped forward. He went for a straight right, Azazel easily caught this before throwing a right of his own. Naruto saw this and dunked underneath before leaping up and tried to knee him in the face. Azazel blocked once again before quickly throwing Naruto away, not wanting to give him a chance at his elbow strike. Azazel then shot forward and the two began to brawl, while Aizen and Sarah watched on. Both were amazed that Naruto was keeping up. But sadly the minute ended, and Naruto stood there having caught Azazel's fist.
"Yes! This is excellent Naruto! You have passed your final exam. You are ready, you have earned the right to be our summoner. Know this Naruto from this day forward you will be representing us the noble and proud dragons. Understand this your not allowed to lose to anyone that is not a dragon. And Always remember that you are one of us! So always carry your self with pride". Said Azazel with a big smile on his face.
"This is great Naruto you did it!" said Sarah in a cheerful tone while giving him a hug.
"You said it, Naruto congratulations this makes you the first dragon summoner in along time". Said Aizen while shaking his hand.
"Yes tomorrow will be your debut. At the tournament you will show them, show them what you can do. By the way that reminds me. Sarah, did you bring it?" asked Azazel
"Of course father, here it is". Said Sarah handing him a large box
"Excellent Naruto this is for you. For completing your training, it was made for you. Wear it with pride".
"Thank you Azazel, Sarah and Aizen for everything. I'll make you all proud and I wont loose". Said Naruto smiling he was happier than hell
That night they had a big feast to celebrate. Azazel officially announced to the rest of the village the news. They all erupted in cheers as they began congratulating Naruto. A few of them walking up to him and introducing themselves. He got too know a few of them and what they were capable of. Naruto learned that night that dragons can party hard. And well….
The next morning Chunin arena
The chunin arena began to fill up, as people poured in trying to get the best seats. From above the Hokage watched with a small smile. He was happy to see many from his village were there with a big smile. Turning to Jiraiya his expression turn to a serious one. They both knew that today was not going to be easy. Boar then shunshin in front of them.
"Hokage-Sama, I am here to report that Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha have yet to arrive".
"What do you mean they are not here? The exams are about to begin!" yelled Jiraiya cursing Kakashi and his habits. While also worrying about Naruto
"Calm down Jiraiya, Naruto wouldn't miss this for the world. I am sure Sasuke will be here as well, Kakashi probably got lost again on his way here. Now then Naruto's match is first. I trust he will be here on time and boar go ahead and let Hayate know.
"Hai Hokage-Sama". Was all Boar said before shunshin away. The two men then turned their head to the entrance.
"My, my Lord Hokage it has been too long. And Jiraiya of the legendary sannin is here as well, it is good to see you both".
"Lord Kazekage it's been too long indeed. Thank you for coming all this way". Said the Hokage knowing who this was.
"Well it looks like a good day for a tournament. But was this I heard about two of your fighters missing?"
"Oh no need to worry, Naruto is running late but he will be here. Sasuke must have just picked up Kakashi's bad habit". Said the Hokage
The Kazekage just nodded as they began to talk amongst themselves. Not long after the Raikage showed up being accompanied by his brother Bee. After a few pleasantries amongst themselves they were ready to begin. The Hokage then used his chakra to enhance his voice and speak to the arena.
"Welcome one and all to the chunin exams. I want to thank all our guest who came here from far and wide. We will begin momentarily and too all of you competing today. Be proud and best of luck. Make your villages proud".
The crowd erupted in cheers as the genin began to make their way to the center of the arena. In the stands we find Shino, Ayame and Haku sitting together. Ayame having gotten the day off, she was there to cheer on her Naruto. Haku however was asked to be there by the Hokage, as part of the rescue team. Turning around Haku saw her brother and Zabuza, also there at the request of the Hokage. Their mission being to protect the civilians should things go south. Not to far from where they where sitting we find Hiashi, Neji and Hanabi looking on. A few rows over we see Asuma there sitting with a woman, the both of them looking on. (yes this is Kurenai)
Arena
"Wait, what do you mean we are starting without Naruto?" asked Hinata worried having not heard from him
"That is unfortunate, but he was given instructions on when and where to be. He will only have five minutes to arrive once we begin. Now for the rest of you, remember that this is still a tournament. You can fight however you please. But I can stop the match if I deem it necessary. You can win by knock out or if your opponent admits defeat. Remember you are also representing your village so try your best. If there are no other question, then will the first two contestants stay here. While the rest of you make your way to the balcony".
"What a drag, I swear Naruto is probably just waiting to make a big entrance. Does that guy always have to make a show". Said Shikamaru while the others left the arena.
With the Kage
"It seems that Naruto will miss his match. How unfortunate, wouldn't you say". Said the Kazekage
"He is right lord Hokage, the boy should have been here by now. Don't you keep track of your jinchuriki?" asked the Raikage getting a surprise looked form the Hokage
"I see, you know who the boy is after all". Said the Hokage
"But of course, I have my network as well. Besides my brother Bee here could also tell".
"Yes you are right, but I know the boy will be here". said the old man with a small smile
"(Ah Naruto-kun where have you gone? I cannot wait to see how you've improved since we last played in the forest)" thought Orochimaru staring down at the arena
"(Dammit runt, where the hell are you? Did something happen during your training?" thought Jiraiya.
The Arena
Hayate was bout to call the match when a large lightning bolt struck the ground. There was a quick blinding light, before it died down. The crowed was silent at first as the image of the blonde came to view. Naruto just stood there sporting his new gear. He wore new black combat boots, that looked like they were made from scales. He still wore his torn jeans and chains. His GI was now gone and replaced with a vest. The vest was also black and like his boots, it resembled scales. The back still read nine tails in red, but it now sported what appeared to be a wing design. He now wore black fingerless gloves and grew out his hair. He looked slimmer than before, but his muscle did seem more define. The crowd began to boo once again still not liking the blonde. The Hokage and Jiraiya had a smile on their face seeing the boy had returned. Even the Raikage was intrigued, that lightning bolt was massive. Taking a small interest in the boy wondering what other lightning techniques he knew. Back on the ground Naruto turned his attention to Shikamaru who had not moved. Not from fear mind you, but he did call that Naruto was going to make a entrance.
"Well glad that you showed up. Now then the first match is about to begin. Both fighters ready? Hajime!" said Hayate jumping back
"What a drag, I said you were going to make a show when you showed up. I can tell that you are allot stronger then when you massacred Kiba. I really don't see this going well. But seeing how this is the exams I should make an effort".
Naruto just nodded as he put his hands in a familiar t shape. Creating five clones as one by one they charged at Shikamaru. The young Nara pulled out a few kunai as he began to evade, counter striking the clones. This surprise Naruto seeing Shikamaru had stepped up his taijutsu.
"Fire-style: Phoenix flower jutsu!"
Shikamaru cursed his luck as he was beginning to get overwhelmed. He still had three clones to contest with but also the multiple fire balls. Using his superior speed however, Naruto dropped the jutsu and caught Shikamaru with a hard left to the jaw. Trying to get his bearings he brought his hands up in time to block the double front kick from the clones. While he was in midair, Shikamaru quickly let loose a few smoke bombs. When the smoke cleared the three Naruto just stood there all alone.
Balcony
"There he goes again this should be interesting". Said Asuma lighting up a cigarette
"Wait, what do you mean?" asked Kurenai
"He is starting to make his plan, when he reappears the real fight will begin".
"He's been getting over runed, do you really think he can come up with a plan?"
"Yes, that boy may not be motivated. But when it comes to strategy, there is no one in his age group that is better". Said Asuma looking on
"HA, ha that Naruto has really gotten stronger. Wouldn't you say Zaku?" asked Zabuza
"Yeah he really has, although I have a feeling that we haven't even seen the beginning of what he could do". Said Zaku
"Zabuza-sensei, Zaku over here".
They both turned to see Hinata, Sakura, Shino, Ayame and the other genin from the leaf (minus Neji and Lee) walking up to them.
"Hey there brat, I bet you two are happy to see the blonde again. He seems to have gotten stronger". Said Zabuza to Hinata and Ayame.
"Yes he has, I am just happy he is home again". Said Hinata who Ayame just nodded in agreement.
"Hey don't go counting Shikamaru out". Said Ino
"Yeah, he is probably coming up with a plan right now". Said Choji opening a bag of chips
They all just nodded knowing this was not over yet. The crowd however began to get restless. Not seeing any action bored them.
With the Kage
"It seems that the Nara boy is having some trouble". Said the Kazekage
"Indeed, but he is from the Nara clan they are known for being master strategist. Said the Raikage
"Yes I agree, this will probably come to an end soon. Let's see if young Shikamaru can make a strategy to fight back against Naruto". Said the Hokage trying not to show a smile, can't play favorites after all
Jiraiya did not say anything instead he just smiled on, happy that his godson was kicking ass.
Arena
"(Dam that Naruto, he really likes to make a show of things. Can't get too mad he is probably giving me a chance to fight back. Well then, I shouldn't keep him waiting any longer)". Thought Shikamaru from the tree he was hiding in.
Naruto on the other hand new exactly where he was, perks of being a sensor. He sent his clones after Shikamaru while he waited back. Sure enough Shikamaru leaped out of the trees and threw a few more kunai. He manage to get the clones to jump as he quickly landed next to the tree.
"Shadow possession jutsu!"
Shikamaru managed to catch Naruto's clones and was about to make his next move when both the clones dispelled. Before he could react Naruto appeared in front of him nailing him with a hard check head kick. Shikamaru managed to put his arms up however and rolled away a good distance. Naruto was about to end this when he heard a noise. He turned around to the tree and saw that there was a seal on it. The seal went off and a bright light shined extending his shadow towards Shikamaru. The light died down as Naruto felt his body tightening up. Looking down he saw that he was caught in Shikamaru's trap.
"Shadow possession complete". Said Shikamaru as he stood up and walked a bit to his right
"Not bad Shikamaru, your plan and backup plan worked well. I would applaud you, but I cant really move". Said Naruto smirking
"That was your own fault, you let this fight drag on too long and it got the best of you. Now then, will you forfeit?" said Shikamaru knowing the answer but needing to buy time.
"You must know that I won't give up".
"Yeah I know, I was just waiting for this".
Shikamaru pointed up as he looked up allowing Naruto to see Shikamaru's jacket floating down. He reached out for it retreating the two kunai tied to it. He then showed Naruto that the kunai's hilts were wrapped with seals.
"I don't think I have to tell you this, but these seals aren't flash bombs. I'll give you one last chance Naruto". Said Shikamaru preparing to throw the kunai
"(Naruto, how much longer are you going to keep this charade up?)" asked the Kyuubi
"(You're probably right. I just hoped he impressed them enough)". said Naruto to his partner
"Well Shikamaru I am glad you gave me your best. But this jutsu drains your chakra to fast, so I'll end this now".
Shikamaru was about to response but then he felt this massive force. He was trying to figure out what was going on, but it was then he realized that Naruto was beginning to use his real strength. He did what he could to hold on to the jutsu. Sadly he was not able to. Naruto's sheer strength broke the shadow possession.
"(No way)" thought Shikamaru
He knew the jutsu could be broken. But Naruto didn't even seem to be trying. Naruto watched as the shadow retreated, Shikamaru on the other hand did not let his last chance go to waist. He launched his kunai and tried to capitalize. Naruto however quickly launched his own kunai colliding with Shikamaru kunai.
"Kai!" said Shikamaru
Seeing that the kunai were closer to Naruto. There was a loud explosion as the arena on the side of Naruto was covered in smoke. They waited for the smoke to clear but was shocked when Naruto leaped forward not a scratch on him. One of the seals in Naruto's right hand began to glow
"You did well Shikamaru but this is over! Chakra Geyser!
Shikamaru braced himself as Naruto landed in front of him. To his surprise Naruto struck the ground instead of him. Luckily, he did not drop his guard. The moment his fist collide with the floor a giant burst of blue chakra erupted engulfing Shikamaru. Everyone could hear Shikamaru's screams of pain before Naruto stopped pumping chakra into his seal. He stood up as Shikamaru landed on the floor not to far from him.
"That should do it, you did well Shikamaru get some rest". Said Naruto as he turned to Hayate.
Hayate in question walked over to the Nara boy. He kneeled next to him, looking him over he felt that he had a strong pulse. The boy was alive but that last attack did a number on him. His entire body was covered in cuts and bruises. Looking over at the blonde who was just standing there he could not help but to wonder how he did that last attack.
"The winner of the match Naruto Uzumaki".
The crowd was silent, but it did not last for long. The voices of Hinata, Ayame, Ino and Sakura yelled out unison.
"You did it!"
Naruto turned to and saw his friends for the first time since returning. He smiled and waved at them before the rest of the arena joined in the cheers. Before he could acknowledge them all, he turn to see the medic team was with Shikamaru. He walked over to them and handed them some vials, lucky for him he new the medics on hand. He gave them instructions on what to do before turning back to the crowd. Not really us to cheers he just simply raised his fist in the air, as he made his way to the balcony.
