Well… it's dead, Jim.

Sort of. Maybe. I'm not sure where I stand, or feel, for that matter, on either Ignition or Energy Unbound.

I occasionally get ideas from my muse for both of them, and for the unreleased threequel, Gateway of the Gods- let me start over.

Once, long ago, I had an idea. A crossover of my, then at the very least, favorite fandoms. An epic tale that spans not one, not two, not three, not even four, but five stories. Ignition, the first book, in Frozen; Energy Unbound, the second book, in Percy Jackson; Gateway of the Gods, in Stargate; A fourth that went across the multiverse, and a final one that broke the metaverse and went into our world.

However, that turned out to be something too large for me to take on, at least then. And due to that, and my own slow speed at writing… I moved on. My muse moved on. Especially once I realized that to accomplish this dream, I'd have to essentially weave together other's properties and my own original content, when I'd much rather spend time developing my own worlds than trying to interweave my own and others'.

Well, at least to my dream's extent; Stories like my Worm fics, and other projects I'm involved in, don't take nearly as much original content from me to produce, so they don't feel like inherently wasted time to me.

Not to say that the Ignition Saga was ever a waste of time. I would have loved to complete it. But, my muse being what she is… I have so many words further down the timelines of the Ignition Saga's various books and so little in between that it's not likely I can manage to complete them anytime soon.

That doesn't mean the Saga is dead, though. Just… on a really, really deep hiatus.

And I know this comes just after the new year, as well, which increases the suckage rating of it. That said, one of my new year's resolutions was to be honest with myself about what I can and cannot do; this is one result of that decision.

As I said I would announce if I ever put any stories on hiatus, or abandoned them (which I am not doing with the Saga), here it is:

The Ignition Saga is officially on extended, indefinite hiatus.

This means Ignition, Energy Unbound, and Gateway of the Gods are all not going to receive updates anymore, until or if I return to them at some point in the future.

...At least, after the floodgates I'm about to drop into them.

You see, it doesn't really seem fair to me to leave anyone who had hope for more content for these stories hanging. I'm on the author side of the screen right now, but I am constantly on your side, too. I read tons of stories which get discontinued, hiatus'd, or even vanish off the face of the Internet with no warning, or very little warning, and no compensation… usually.

Which is why, to the best of my ability, I will be posting the currently present content I have for Ignition, Energy Unbound, and Gateway of the Gods to FFN soon. Maybe today, maybe this week, maybe this month, in little bursts whenever I am able. I am very busy, the conversion process to FFN format isn't fun, and there is a buttload of content waiting to be seen; but I'll do it.

The snippets, scenes, or even entire chapters will have little to no temporal bridges between them. They will likely be in chronological order... but that is all I can promise. Gateway of the Gods is obviously not posted, so I'll have to post that as well.

I hope you don't hold this against me, or even if you do, you at least understand. Thank you to anyone who loves these stories of mine for your readership, your comments if you left them, and your existence. It is also my hope that my more modern stories are good enough to draw your eye, because I doubt those will be going away anytime soon.

I didn't plan a huge multi book saga with them, after all.

Kudos and godsspeed, everyone. Fly safe, see you in the morning, hope you're all happy campers, goodnight, and may the light of orbital bombardment show you the path to victory.
