"Yeah, sure. I need to go to the station anyway since Rylan still is a foster child and I need to tell them to keep me informed." Bill explained as Stef nodded in understanding from her end even though he couldn't see it, her eyes still on the picture of the girls.

"Ok, well we will see you there Bill."

"See you later. Again, I'm so sorry Stef." Stef nodded.

"Thanks Bill." Stef said before hanging up, a lone tear falling down her cheek as she continued to look at the photo of Rylan, Callie and Mariana. Stef didn't want to think that this could possibly be the last photo she would ever get of all three of her baby girls together.

"Ill find you my Babies, Mommy will find you." Her fingers stroking over Callie and Rylan as she thought about what they were doing and if they are ok.

Thursday. Evening of the kidnapping - Callie and Rylan

Callie didn't know what to do or think. One moment she was standing with Rylan, teaching her how to hold onto the skipping rope so it wouldn't keep slipping out of her grip and the next she had been thrown into a vehicle with her little sister.

Everything had happened so quickly. She heard tyres screech and had seen movement in her peripheral and then on instinct, had grabbed Rylan tightly. She had felt hands on her and being pulled roughly, her hands not once loosing their grip on Rylan as she was tossed into a vehicle.

Now all that Callie could do is glare and comfort her sister the best she could. Callie and Rylan had both been gagged and their hands tied behind their backs as they sat crossed legged on the floor of the vehicle that was a van of some sort, facing two people that Callie never wanted to see again. James and Amanda, if they were even their real names.

With the gag in her mouth and her hands tied behind her back, Rylan squeezed into Callie the best as she could, tears falling down her face and landing on Callie shirt from where her head was buried against Callies chest.

Callie continued to glare at their kidnappers while James and Amanda just sat smirking. Callie just wished her hands weren't tied up, she would teach them not to mess with her or her family.

Callie and Rylan didn't know how long they sat in the van. There were windows but they were tinted and Callie could only see sky and the tops of buildings from her seated position.

As she looked around the van, Callie knew that there was no way she would be able to escape with Rylan. Not only were James and Amanda in the back of the van with them, there were also two others situated in the van, one at the back door and the other at the sliding side door. Both were covered from head to toe in black which gave no clue to their identity. There was someone driving but she couldn't see them and she couldn't tell if there was a passenger.

So all that Callie could do was wait, wait for a chance to escape. And escape she will.

Just before 10am Friday morning, Lena, Stef, Jesus, Brandon, Mariana and Jude were on their way to the police station to give their statements to Mike and Captain Roberts and then to sit down with a sketch artist.

When the the six of them arrived at the station, Mike greeted them and then ushered them into private room, the big meeting room in the back.

Bill arrived shortly after and was walking around the squad room getting information to help his work colleagues and himself in regards to Rylans whereabouts.

Lena was the first to give her statement to Captain Roberts and Mike in the Captains office and then Stef was next while Mariana and Jude talked with sketch artists.

It was nearing 12pm when Stef was finished giving her statement. Captain Roberts, Mike and Stef headed to the meeting room when the doors to the station flung open. Stef, Mike and the Captain were right near the meeting room when the door had flung opened so the three of them looked towards the noise.

A group of 5 people, 3 men and 2 women walked into the station, all of them in business attire, looking very professional. They stopped and asked for directions and other officers pointed towards Captain Roberts. Stef and Mike looked at each other and then looked at their Captain confused before both of them headed into the meeting room, leaving their captain to deal with whatever the group of men and women needed.

Stef, Lena, Mike and the kids waited around in the large meeting room, waiting for Captain Roberts to come back so they could finish their interviews.

It didn't take long before the doors to the room were pushed opened and Captain Roberts was walking in, she looked a little frazzled and Stef was worried. She had a feeling that those people in the suits were here for her family, she just had that gut feeling.

Captain Roberts gestured for Lena, Stef and Mike to follow her and so with a glance to the kids, the Moms and Mike followed Captain Roberts out of the room and closed the door behind them.

Sure enough two of the 5 people that had walked into the station like they were on a mission stood not too far from the door, a Man and Woman, looked at Stef, Lena and Mike, letting Captain Roberts explain.

"Mike,Stef, Lena, These are agents, Callahan and McGuire of the FBI." Captain Roberts said addressing the three of them.

Agent Callahan, a tall, pale skinned, slender woman with Dark blonde hair pulled into a high pony tail and piercing green eyes nodded in greeting to the group when her name was said.

Agent McGuirewith short hair as black as night, his eyes as blue as the sky, pale skin and roughly 6'2, could possibly have been a college football player with his build, nodded at the group as well.

Both Agents looking very professional but yet also coming off as friendly.

Stef knew that this talk with the FBI could be long and so she needed to deal with the kids first.

"Mike can you stay with the kids?" Stef asked her ex once the introductions were done.

"Don't worry about them. Ill get them some lunch and then we can continue." Mike said, reassuring his ex Wife.

"Ill stay with them as well, we can finish getting statements done to keep them busy." Captain Roberts said, knowing that the Moms were stressed enough as it is, now with the FBI here.

"Thanks Mike, thanks Captain." Stef said gratefully before Mike left the group to go back to the kids.

"Sorry, about that. Had to deal with the other 4 kids first." Stef said with a sort of smile.

"Its alright." Agent Callahan smiled and waved the apology away.

"Is there somewhere where we can talk privately?" Agent McGuire asked, looking at the Captain.

"Yeah, you can use my office." Captain Roberts said gesturing to her office across the hall.

"Thank you. Could we get Rylans social worker and a white board and marker please?" Agent McGuire asked Captain Roberts.

"Ok, sure." Captain Roberts said as she moved away from the group to get Bill and a whiteboard.

"Thank you. Lets go then. We have a very important issue to discuss." Agent McGuire explained as he started moving towards the Office that they were to talk in. Stef, Lena and Agent Callahan following him.

The Agents gestured for Stef and Lena to go in and then the two agents went to their colleagues and grabbed two boxes of paperwork and headed into the office.

Captain Roberts brought Bill to the office and had a whiteboard and whiteboard markers placed in the room. Seeing that they didn't need anything else for now she closed the door to the room and headed to the room where the Adams-Foster children were waiting.

With the door to the office closed, Bill, the Agents, Stef and Lena could get the discussion under way.

Bill, Stef and Lena sat on the chairs around Captain Roberts desk as the agents stood in front of the desk with the boxes in front of them.

"Ok, so why are the FBI involved in the kidnapping of our daughters?" Stef said, wanting to get straight to the point. Her daughters were gone and she needed to hurry this up so they could all get back to looking for the girls.

"To you it may be a kidnapping but there is so much more involved with it." Agent McGuire said as Agent Callahan began to open the boxes and pull out paperwork and put them into piles.

"Care to share?"Stef asked with a raised eyebrow.

"That's why we are here. Just listen carefully." Agent Callahan said as she grabbed a stack of what looked to be photos and then pulled the whiteboard closer.

"9 years ago the FBI were assigned to a case regarding Patrick Dunn." Agent Callahan said, sticking a picture of Patrick Dunn to the whiteboard with his name on the photo.

"The crime boss, who's Speciality is weapons and drugs?" Stef asked, looking confused as well as Lena and Bill.

"And making people disappear, Yeah him." Agent Callahan said with a nod.

"Wow." Lena whispered looking at the picture on the board.

"As I was saying, 9 years ago we were assigned his case, he had been in hiding for quite some time but his right hand man , Harry Donnelly, was seen roaming around California. We were tracking him in hope that he would lead us to Dunn." Agent Callahan explained, placing a picture of Harry Donnelly on the board under Patrick Dunn.

"What has this got to do with Rylan and Callie?" Stef asked, still confused but her interest was spiked.

"I'm getting there." Agent Callahan said as Lena, Stef and Bill nodded.

"Ok, so we were tracking Donnelly to get to Dunn but no success there. Donnelly went missing for about 7 months before he popped back up, he was on surveillance and watching a young man called Curtis Mathews. The more we watched Donnelly the more we found out about this Curtis Mathews." Agent Callahan said, placing Curtis Mathews picture on the whiteboard under Harry Donnelly.

Lena, Bill and Stef looked on curiously, not wanting to interrupt so they didn't waste time. With every bit of information being revealed, Lena and Stef were becoming very worried.

"Ok , now we knew that Curtis could be our only answer and when he was alone we cornered him. Long story short we managed to get him on board and became our eyes inside. Curtis managed to get closer to Dunn and became the third in charge after Donnelly." Agent McGuire said as he looked at his paperwork In his hands.

"For 4 years Curtis became our spy, our eyes into the life of Mob boss Patrick Dunn. He reported a lot and we managed to arrest a lot of Dunns members." Agent Callahan explained.

"Things went wrong and in August 2009, Curtis was outed and Dunn waisted no time, he put a gun to Curtis Mathews head and killed him point blank." Lena, Bill and Stef were shocked. They knew things like this happened but to actually hear about it and know that this somehow was related to Rylan and Callies Kidnapping was very overwhelming.

"Dunn was outraged and ordered a hit on every one of Curtis Mathews family. It was then that we discovered that Curtis had a wife and daughter. A secret life no one knew about." Agent Callahan explained as she placed two photos up. Both female, one a adult and the other a toddler.

"Is that Rylan?" Stef asked looking closer as the photo of the toddler.

"Yes." The agents said together.

"Look how small she is." Lena gushed out, looking at the toddler version of Rylan. After giving them a moment, the agents began speaking again.

"Curtis had married Samantha in 2006, she 18 and he 22. A year later in 2007, their only child Ryan Elizabeth Mathews was born. The night Curtis was shot he left behind a 2 year old daughter. We knew we had to protect them because word travels fast through the mob and the two would be a target." As Agent Callahan said this, Stef and Lena gave each other a look. They knew Rylan had a hidden background no one knew about but this was out of this world and far from anything that the two of them could have imagined.

"Did you say Ryan?" Stef asked after that got her attention.

"Yes. Her name is Ryan not Rylan. She had trouble pronouncing certain things and I guess thats why everyone thought her name was Rylan." Stef and Lena nodded. Did her name really change much?

"How come we couldn't find anything on them when we searched the database?" Bill spoke up for the first time. His team had done a lot of hardcore digging to find information on Rylan, with no results.

"You would have been searching for Rylan, not Ryan. Also with Witness protection, everything gets wiped no one but us can access their information that is on file." Agent McGuire informed Bill.

"Oh." Bill said softly. It now made sense, all the digging around wasted time but his team or himself would never have found information. Looking for a Rylan when her name was Ryan.

"Yeah. We managed to get to them and bring them into our custody. Witness protection began and the information about the Mathews was secured very well. Their names were changed and they were off to a new home to start a new life." Agent McGuire said.

"They had been in protection for almost a year. Dunn had another right hand man. Tobias Flynn aka Toby." Agent Callahan said as she placed a picture of Tobias Flynn on the whiteboard. Immediately Stef and Bill were shocked. Stef was angry as she stared at the man on the board.

"Hes the man that tried to get custody of Rylan. Posing as her uncle. We knew there was something suspicious about him." Bill stated, shaking his head. To know that he had been in the same room as this man made him angry.

Marianas theory was becoming more real with every bit of information and now Bill had confirmed it, it made her angry.

"Hes also the man that was following Rylan, she said he killed her Mom. I ran after him once but he got lost in the crowd." Stef explained. Her anger could be heard in her voice but she was good at controlling it and the FBI agents were glad and very impressed. Lena reached over and clasped onto Stefs, Lena gave her wifes hand a squeeze to comfort her. Stef turned to give Lena a sad smiled and then squeezed right back.

"Anyone can be fooled with Toby. Hes a computer whiz. Your guys are good at their job otherwise Rylan would have been given to him and he would have been half way around the world with her and we would have been none the wiser. We were lucky that he used an alias that he had used before and that we had flagged so if anyone had searched one of his alias's we were notified." Bill nodded, he felt guilty, he should have looked more into the Uncle then he did or even reported him. He could have stopped the kidnapping from taking place if Toby was arrested.

"Wait, Lets say that this mob have our children. With Rylans family out of the way, why would they want Rylan and Callie? They are just kids. " Stef asked. Lena and Bill looking at the Agents with confusion as well.

"We aren't ruling out that fact that the mob may have them. Patrick Dunn isn't one to keep any witnesses or leads. If they are young, he keeps them. Kids aren't as suspicious when you are drug trafficking, dealing weapons...or for selling or they have something else planned for her. Callie being older could be an entirely different situation." Agent McGuire explained. He saw the pain flash through the Adams-Fosters eyes, he hated knowing what these women were going through.

He was happy that Ryan, well now Rylan had found a loving family willing to keep her. She deserved it. He just had to get her back.

"Hes going to use our babies to sell drugs or sell ...I'm going to be sick." Lena said as she stood up and races out of the room towards the bathroom. Stef hot on her heels to comfort her wife.

Bill and the Agents sat in the office to wait for the women to get back. Bill couldn't understand what the women were going through as he didn't love Callie and Rylan like Stef and Lena did. He cared for the girls but it wasn't the same.

"When we find Callie and Rylan, you will put Rylan back with the Adams-Fosters?" Agent Callahan asked as Agent McGuire sorted through the rest of the paperwork. Saying Rylan instead of Rylan was confusing but thats the name the girl had been going by for years now.

"Yeah, for sure. Rylan has thrived in that home. Rylan, Callie and Stef have a very special bond that its hard to find one so strong." Bill explained with a sad smile. The two Agents nodded, glad that Bill was on the same page.

Stef and Lena headed back into the office after washing up. Lena held a bottle of water and was slowly sipping it as she sat in her seat next to Stef.

"I'm alright. Just got a bit much." Lena reassured Bill and the Agents who nodded with understanding.

"If they have the girls, what do you think they will do to Callie?" Stef asked once they were all sitting back down and the door was closed. She needed to know, Lena needed to know.

"From what I have heard and seen, Callie wasn't part of the plan. We do know that the Dunn mob don't support child prostitution or prostitution in general but other then that, anything could happen to her." Stef and Lena nodded. They were a little relieved that their daughters wouldn't be pimped out but there was so many other things that could happen to them.

"What happened to get Samantha killed?" Lena asked, wanting to know more about Rylans Birth Mothers murder.

"Well Toby had managed to draw them out. He went and killed Samantha's mother in hopes that the funeral would make them come out of hiding. It worked because Samantha slipped passed her protection detail with Ryan, I mean Rylan. "Lena nodded.

"The evidence local police found in the alley was that Rylan was placed in a box or something so that Toby couldn't kill her." Agent Callahan said looking at her notes.

"She said to us that she was in a box but she saw the man shoot her Mom. She said she stayed in the box until he left and then went over to her Mom." Stef told them what Rylan had said. The agents both taking notes to verify the evidence.

"That sounds about right. When police got there, she wasn't there. We all tried to find her and in the end we all thought that Toby had taken her so we kept trying to find him." Agent Callahan said looking at her notes of the report to make sure they had everything written down properly.

"She was found three days after in an ally. She wouldn't really talk but we managed to get her to tell us her first and middle name but we couldn't find anything on her in the system which now makes sense. She was taken to the first foster home available." Bill told the Agents so that they could have that information. It could be handy, or it could be worthless. As long as every detail was taken, that's all that mattered.

"Thank you Bill. Well, now we know that Toby has his sights on her or may very well have her, we can be more thorough. These guys are really smart and are very good at avoiding detection." Agent McGuire said before he scribbled something down in his notebook and Agent Callahan wrote things on the whiteboard that would be helpful with the investigation.

"What about James and Amanda? We know that they might be fake names but with the descriptions of them that we gave to my captain that could help. They must be working with Toby to take the girls to Dunn." Stef asked, hoping that this really was connected to their kidnapping.

"They may be new contacts or ones we haven't come across yet. Dunn has contacts all over, always hiring new ones. We will be on the lookout." Agent Callahan offered as Agent McGuire wrote down James and Amanda's names on the whiteboard. Stef nodded with a sigh.

"My captain and the other officers have the information my family gave them on file." Stef told them.

"Ok, well we will be working with the whole station so we will be comparing notes." Agent McGuire said. They would definitely need to compare notes. Both the police and FBI had information that the other doesn't and when connected they could narrow down a lot.

"Please just help us get our girls home." Lena pleaded with the Agents as she stood from her seat along with Stef.

"We will do our best to bring your girls home. We want to take this crime mob down as much as the next person." Agent McGuire said reaching over and placing a hand on Lenas shoulder and giving her a reassuring nod. Lena gave a small smile, tears in her eyes.

"When we find Rylan, ill place her back with you and continue the adoption process." Bill said facing Lena and Stef. Knowing that Rylan had no biological parents left and with the FBI here, he would be able to make things go smoothly with the adoption process since they had all the information he needed.

"Thanks Bill." Stef said with a sad smile.

"I really am sorry." Stef and Lena smiled softy at him as they watched Bill leave the room, probably to go update his team. After all, it wasn't his fault, it was no ones fault. He didn't need to say sorry.

"Will we be able to give a press statement? Get our daughters pictures seen to the world?" Lena asked, wanting to get the girls pictures out so that they could be found faster.

"A press statement will be given. We will have your Captain give one so that The Dunn crime group won't know that the FBI are involved. They know we are trying to find them and have been for the last 9 years but they don't know that we know that they may be linked to the kidnapping." Agent Callahan explained. Stef and Lena nodded, thanking god that they were going to get their children's pictures out to the world.

"When will my captain give the press statement?" Stef asked.

"Tomorrow morning. That way we can talk to your Captain and make sure that the Dunn crime group don't know that we are here and to get out agents into disguise. We will also need clear photos of Rylan and Callie." Agent McGuire said.

"Ok, My kids are going to be putting up flyers around our community tomorrow and ill email the photos to my captain when I get home today."

"Its also best if you are not here tomorrow. Less stress on yourself and your family."Agent Callahan said with a small smile. Her concern was showing, she had seen how the parents got stuck deep into finding a family member that they became stressed and run down. She didn't want to see that happen to this family.

"We also need to make sure that no one knows that we are here. It could leak out to the Crime mob and make out chances of finding the girls extremely hard. The station will be on strict warning. You may tell your kids and those you trust if you want too but this must remain secretive. If you can't trust someone then I suggest you don't say anything." Agent McGuire explained seriously.

"You will keep us updated?" Stef asked, clearly understanding what Agent Callahan was talking about. She also knew her family did need less stress and to stick together without falling apart. Being around the station 24/7 would be a bad idea, no matter how much Stef wanted to be here.

"We will. Its hard to keep parents away from the investigation and much harder when the kids are cops kids. You will be kept up to date, we think it would benefit us to keep you in the loop, your Captain says that you have an eye for detail and are an amazing cop and from what I can see, I have to agree." Stef blushed a little at the complement. It meant a lot coming from someone in the FBI.

"Thank you. I love to help people. Its what I do. And I would do anything for my children." Lena smiled at Stef and reached over and clasped Stefs hand. Lena was very proud of her wife and to know that someone who was high ranking saw that, it was amazing.

"We can see that. We will let you get back to your other kids now. Speak to you soon. Stef. Lena." Agent Callahan said as both agents smiled at the two women.

"Bye." Lena said shaking the Agents hands as herself and Stef headed out of the office towards the back of the building where the rest of their kids were. Both Agents watching the two women go to their kids before turning around to sort out the whiteboard, getting it ready to present it to the rest of the station and their other FBI colleagues.
