IMPORTANT DETAILS for this story:

Callie got Adopted the same day as Jude, her biological father is Donald.

Callie did go through the ordeal with Liam but she kept a few things hidden from everyone.

LENA got the principals position and lost the baby.

I don't know where Sharon, Dana and Stuart live. So Im saying that Sharon lives in the California area. While Dana and Stuart live in Florida.

AN: FUN FACT. So I was reading up on a few things about the fosters and the singers of the songs in the show. I was really surprised and amazed at what I read. SO Kari Kimmel who sings the fosters theme song 'where you belong', has a son called Rylan. MY MIND WAS BLOWN AWAY.

ANYWAY BACK TO THE STORY.

Previously:

The house Callie and Rylan are in is raised and they are found by Mike. Toby is arrested along with the other is in the house.

Callie shot, only grazed.

Patrick Dunn tells daughter Kathleen that Rylan is her niece, his granddaughter.

Patrick Dunn and Daughter Kathleen go to get Rylan from drug house only to find that it had been compromised and there is a rat in their group.

Adams-Foster home - 1 week since Callie and Rylans kidnapping.

Over the past week, with the kids having school and the girls missing, the house had been really quiet. Jesus and Marianas usual daily fights were not a common thing this week and fights over bathrooms were not happening. The house just seemed lifeless. All the happiness sucked out.

It was a quiet evening. Lena stood in the kitchen over the stove cooking while Stef chopped ingredients on the chopping board at the table.

Mariana was upstairs doing some code work on her laptop in the Moms room. Jesus was also upstairs doing chin ups in his shared room. Jude lay on his bed reading and Brandon had his headphones in on his keyboard.

It had been a week and the family were still in a state as they waited for news on Rylan and Callie. Each day was getting harder and harder but the family stayed strong for them and each other. The Moms did their best to help the kids cope, all they could do was hope and pray and keep spirits up.

"I'm going to get the kids to come down." Lena told her wife as she moved away from the stove. Stef looked up and nodded before answering.

"Ok love. Ill just finish this and then drain the pasta." Lena nodded and headed up the stairs to get the kids.

Each meal was hard. Not cooking for the extra two people was difficult and a felt like a stab to the heart. Even the two extra chairs was a stab to the heart but so far they had been managing ok, even if they were far from ok.

While Lena collected the four kids from upstairs, Stef placed the salad from the chopping board into a bowl and put it in the middle of the table. She then went over and grabbed the pot filled with pasta and drained it in the sink.

Soon enough the four kids and Lena were coming down the stairs and into the kitchen just as Stef placed the pasta sauce in the middle of the table.

"Hey kids, pull up a chair and dig in." Stef commanded softly. She new the only way to get the kids to eat was to command them. The kids nodded and trudged to the table. It was like this every meal time. The family forcing themselves to eat even though they didn't feel like it. They knew they needed the strength and doing themselves harm health wise wasn't going to help anyone especially themselves.

Stef was just about to sit next to her wife when her mobile went off. Everyone stopped what they were doing to look at the phone on the counter in the study nook, like they did every time it rung. The no phone at the dinner table was currently out the window. Stef phone was their only connection to the FBI and the girls.

Stef rushed over to the phone in a hurry, hoping it was something to do with the girls. Seeing Mikes number on the phone Stef deflated a little. He wouldn't call if he had news about the girls. The FBI would call directly.

"Hey Mike, hows it going?" Hearing Stef say this, Lena and the kids went back to eating the meal in front of them.

"Hey Stef, just calling to say that cap wants you in. She needs to talk to you urgently." Mike told Stef over the phone as she walked out of the kitchen into the back yard for privacy.

"Now? I'm having dinner with my family Mike. Did she say what it is about? Do I need to be in uniform?" Stef asked with a sigh. She knew she was not going to be sitting having a meal with her family if her captain wants to see her.

"No any clothes is fine. She didn't say much, only that its urgent." Mike told her. Stef nodded and looked through the window at her family.

"Ok ill be in soon." Stef sighed out as she watched her wife and four of her children eat their dinner slowly.

"See you when you get here."

"Ok, bye Mike." Stef said before ending the call and putting the phone in her pocket. Stef sighed before heading into the house to deliver the news.

"I'm sorry babies. I have to go to work. My captain needs to talk to me urgently." Stef explained to the five of them. Lena gave Stef a raised eyebrow but she understood that it was Stefs job.

"Ok, I hope its nothing too serious." Lena said.

"Me too. I'm hoping not." Stef responded before placing kisses on the tops of each of the kids heads.

"Alright call me when your on your way home." Lena said as she stood up to walk her wife to the door.

"I will, be good my babies." Stef called as she headed to the front door, Lena in tow.

"Bye Mom." Came the simultaneous replies from the four kids in the kitchen.

"Are you worried?" Lena asked quietly as she watched Stef slip on some shoes and grab her keys and wallet.

"Mike said that captain wants to see me urgently. It could be about something unrelated to the girls. We know the FBI would call me straight away themselves if they had anything"Stef explained.

"I know. Be careful anyway." Lena sighed out before leaning in to kiss Stef. Stef wrapped Lena in her arms.

"I will. Love you." Stef whispered into her wifes ear before pulling away softly.

"Love you too." With a final kiss, Stef headed down the porch and towards her car. Lena watched from the front door as Stef got in the car and reversed out of the driveway and headed towards the station.

Lena turned around and headed inside, closing the door and heading into the kitchen to finish dinner. Hopefully Stef wouldn't be gone too long.

Police Station.

Callie and Rylan sat at their Moms desk. Callie on the chair and Rylan in her lap. The both of them waited for Mike to get off the phone. Callie had put the bag ,with the paperwork she had done, in the Captains office for safe keeping.

Mike just hung up from Stef when he saw Bill, Rylans social worker, enter the room. Mike waves Bill over.

"Hey Bill." Mike greeted the man with a handshake. Mike could already tell that Bill looked a lot less stressed now that the news of Rylan being found was given to him.

"Hi Mike. So where are they?" Bill asked the Man. He hadn't seen the girls as he walked in.

"Hi Bill." Bill turned around at the familiar voice. Callie stood with Rylan next to her as the two of them smiled at Bill.

"Wow, I didn't recognise you. I'm so glad you are safe. Both of you." Bill said in relief as he looked at the two girls in front of him. Both of them smiling widely.

He hugs Callie first and then pulls Rylan into a hug. He lets out a sigh of relief as his eyes well with tears. Releasing Rylan from the embrace, Bill composes himself and was just about to start talkingm but before he could get a word out, the girls were firing sentences at him.

"Am I going back to My Moms? Please let me go back. I want my Moms." Rylan begged and just like her sister Callie did.

"Please Bill, can she stay with us?" Callie said making her eyes look pleadingly at Bills.

"Hey, hey, hey. Calm down. I will be keeping Rylan with the Adams Fosters. The board and Myself see no reason as to why she shouldn't stay." Bill gave the girls the news and instantly their smiles were from ear to ear.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you." Callie and Rylan cheered as they tackled Bill into another hug. He laughed and smiled along with them before the girls settled down and hugged each other happily.

"Is there a room I can talk to Rylan privately?" Bill asked Mike. He needed to get his paperwork for the kidnapping under way.

"Yeah, just through that door to the right is an office you can use." Mike pointed out for Bill.

"Can Callie come with me?" Rylan peered up at Bill, waiting for his answer. Bill looked at Rylan and nodded. Being through the same experiences had brought the two girls closer and he wouldn't be the one to tell them no and separate them. It would do more harm then good.

"I think thats a good idea. Callie can give me more information as well." Both girls beamed, Mainly Rylan.

Mike watched as Callie held Rylans hand and the two of them followed Bill towards the office that he had pointed to. Seeing them disappear through the door Mike sighed.

He then smiled and ran a hand down his face. The last few hours have been overwhelming and so emotional and the next few hours were only going to get more overwhelming as her waited on Stef.

Stef pulled up at the station and parked her car. She headed into the Station, glances at Mike for a second before her sights are set on her captains office door.

Stef knocked and waits for her captain to call out to her. Hearing a come in, Stef pushes the door open and closes it behind her before facing her captain.

"You wanted to see me. Mike said it was urgent." Stef says as she watches her Captain jot down some information in a file before looking up.

"Not that I know of. You best go speak to Mike."Captain Roberts said with a confused look.

"Sorry Captain. Ill get this sorted out." When Stef turned to head out the door, Captain Roberts smiled. She knew her officer was in for an emotional ride. She just had to play her part and that was to fetch the girls while Stef was distracted.

"MIKE!" Stef yelled after closing thedoor to her Captains office.

Stef angrily makes her way over to her work partner. She was seriously annoyed and angry and what made her more angry was that as she made her way towards him she was greeted with Mike giving her a large smile.

"You called me saying the Captain needed to see me urgently, she looks confused when I asked her what she needed to see me about. I am not into games right now Mike. I was having dinner with four of my kids and my Wife. Why did you feel the need to drag me down here?" Stef seethed out. Her face going red, her eyes going dark and her hands crossed in her typical angry stance.

Mike continued to smile which annoyed and angered her more and more. She seriously wanted to slap that grin off of his face. Instead of him answering her, he pointed to something behind her.

Stef tore her angered gaze from Mikes face and turned around to look at what Mike pointed at.

All angered dropped from Stefs body at the sight before her. Two kids in front of her, one had dyed red hair and the other a dyed blonde but she would recognise her kids anywhere. Tears streamed down her face as she looked at her daughters standing in front of Bill and Her Captain.

"Mommy! Mom!" Rylan and Callie called as they raced over to their mother once she had noticed the two of them. Stef fell to the floor on her knees as Rylan bound into her and Callie skid onto the floor next to her mother. Both of them wrapped their arms around their Mother. Tears and Laughter could be heard from the trio as the rest of the occupants of the room looked on. Some officers smiling and some crying in happiness. It was a sight to behold.

"My babies, My baby girls." Stef whispered into their group hug. She kissed each of them on their temples as she held them tighter to her. She knew this day would come but she just couldn't believe it. Her babies were in her arms.

Captain Roberts stood with Bill as they watched the reunion of mother and daughters. Mike had wanted to surprise Stef with the girls. He had roped the Captain in and when Stef was going off at Mike, Captain Roberts had fetched Bill and the girls.
