All of Sir Topham Hatt's engines along with the Mane 7 and Starlight are about to have the best summer of their lives. Will their vacation be the best they ever have?

80. Chapter 76

Episode 15 (76): Queen Chrysalis Revealed

The next day for the resistance has been splendid, they got everyone out of the dungeons and free of Chrysalis' reign of terror. Old friends were seen, family reunited. Even the Steam Team is getting to know a little bit more of the Pony 6, James was helping Rarity carry blankets for anyone who needs it.

James: Ahh, it's always nice to helping out the one I love, no offense, bring blankets to ponies to sleep in.

Pony Rarity: None taken darling, though do tell me what my counterpart is like since you love her so much.

James: I mean; the answer is pretty much straightforward.

Pony Rarity: (Blushes) Aww, you sure have a good taste James, and I can assure you that you'll go far in the future.

James: Thanks Rarity.

Ocellus: Rarity, Mistmane and I were bringing ponies blankets, but we've run out.

Pony Rarity: Well, good thing I haven't lost my touch, here you go Ocellus, freshly folded and neat blankets, just for you.

Mistmane: Thank you so much Rarity, I hope someday we could catch up on what we've missed.

Pony Rarity: Most certainly Mistmane.

So the four walked off to help the ponies with bringing blankets to them. At the warehouse, Applejack, Toby and Big Mac were bringing in more supplies that were sent in.

Pony AJ: Whoo, still got it. We still got a lot more crates to bring in, so we've got some work ahead of us.

Pony Big Mac: Eeyup.

Toby: (Chuckles) You don't change a bit from the counterpart I love.

Pony AJ: Really now, well I hope my counterpart treats you better.

Toby: Thanks Applejack.

Just then, Rockhoof and Yona arrive.

Rockhoof: May we be of assistance.

Pony AJ: Sure thing Rockhoof, we can use a helping hoof.

Yona: Yes, Yona show Applejack and Toby I'm strong yak.

They look to see Yona and Rockhoof use their strength to push the heavier crates.

Toby: (Chuckles) If my friends Murdoch and Hank see them show their strength, they're gonna get jealous.

Pony AJ: (Laughs) If I ever see your friends and saw their faces, I would believe ya partner. Now, let's get back to work, though, got to be honest. You have magic but have the spirit of an Earth pony.

Toby: (Blushes) Thanks for the compliment Applejack.

The two continue their work in moving supplies. Meanwhile, Fluttershy is with Henry, she was patting a moist cloth on him, after he had a scratch from when he cut himself.

Pony Flutters: Are you sure you're okay Henry.

Henry: I'm okay Fluttershy, nothing to worry about.

Pony Flutters: Well, okay then Henry.

Henry: You know, you're still the same caring and loving Fluttershy that I love back at the human world.

Pony Flutters: Really, she's like me.

Henry: Yes, and I'm glad that I can relate to her.

Pony Flutters: (Blushes) Thanks Henry, you're just too sweet.

Sandbar: Fluttershy, you should've seen the stuff Henry can do.

Pony Flutters: Really, what's that.

Sandbar: Henry showed it to me before they left to rescue Celestia and Luna, he has powers.

Pony Flutters: Powers? But you're an Earth pony, not a unicorn, how can that be?

Henry: I've had a magic crystal back at the human world which lets me use my plant powers.

Mage Meadowbrook: I must say, that must be an extraordinary discovery. Never in my years of medicine and nature have I discovered a magic-powered Earth pony, you truly have a gift Henry.

Henry: Thanks.

As the four chatted, at a food stall Pinkie Pie was bringing cupcakes to Percy and Silverstream.

Pony Pinkie: Whoo, being capture and rescued sure can drain a pony, can it.

Silverstream: You're telling me those missions are a real killer. I thought I was gonna pass out.

Percy: Agreed, but hey, we sure had fun doing these missions, especially trying out these bad boys.

Pony Pinkie: Ooh, what do they do?

Percy: Whoa hold on there tiger, these aren't toys, they're powerful weapons. But I can show you my moves.

Pony Pinkie: Yes, do it!

Percy put on a show for the two, doing some awesome action poses with his blasters as Pinkie and Silverstream watch in amazement. He was so busy doing his action poses, he accidently collided with a Pegasus.

Percy: Whoops, sorry about that!

Somnambula: (Chuckles) It's okay young Percy, besides I was coming here to see your spectacular show. I must say, it's pretty impressive.

Percy: (Blushes) Oh, umm, thank you.

Percy looked to see Pinkie and Silverstream clapping their hooves and claws after seeing the show.

Pony Pinkie: That's absolutely the coolest, most spectacular show I ever seen!

Percy chuckled as they cheered for him, meanwhile, Gordon and Rainbow Dash were bringing in supplies over to the warehouse, along the way they see Flash Magnus and Smolder bringing in more.

Smolder: Gotta say, for a Pegasus like you Gordon, you sure are not just speedy but strong too.

Gordon: Well, I always got to make sure I keep my muscles in tiptop shape otherwise I won't work right.

Pony Rainbow: You do know that you're a steam engine.

Gordon: I know that Rainbow Dash, I'm saying my pony form.

Flash Magnus: Whoa, calm down you two, no need to get too competitive are we?

Pony Rainbow & Gordon: No.

Flash Magnus: That's better now, so shall we continue helping out.

Gordon: Fine.

So the Pegasi and dragon flew off to continue their work.

Smolder: (Thoughts) Hmm, these two really are alike.

Meanwhile, in the infirmary, Nurse Redheart is checking over Thomas with Sunset, Gallus and Twilight right next to him, along with having the leaders of each nation: Ember, Thorax, Lady, Queen Novo, Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Prince Rutherford and Grampa Gruff.

Sunset Shimmer: How is he?

Pony Redheart: Hmm, not seeing any broken bones, anything too major, but he's very lucky. But, an alicorn like him has a stellar healing factor.

Princess Celestia: Thank goodness. Though I am curious, and the same goes for Twilight, how are Thomas' wings be this massive?

Pony Redheart: Not sure, but from what I think, is that he has high power and his recognition must be very high as well.

Thomas: Well, probably why I'm so famous was because I've done some things back on Sodor that my controller deemed in worthy and even heroic.

Princess Cadence: Well, from what Thomas just told us, I think he is considered true royalty.

Ember: You betcha, from what his friends told me about him, is that he took on a menacing diesel, his demon brother and even save a magic train from his world.

Prince Rutherford: Pony so strong, stronger than anything I've seen.

Grampa Gruff: The young whippersnapper has got himself some gumption.

Queen Novo: Most certainly, with that kind of power he cannot be matched.

Princess Twilight: He may have that power, but he's not completely invulnerable. Diesel 10, Timothy and other villains like them are his equal, we need to make sure we put a stop to them once and for all.

Thorax: I agree, from what the Steam Team have told us about him, is that he's very devious and extremely evil, a dark magic master. But if Thomas has faced him, then let's hope he'll be stopped.

Princess Luna: I agree, Diesel 10 and his so-called lackeys have already caused enough trouble and it's still spreading with every evil doer they recruit. So it's a matter of posthaste that we find Diesel 10 and the others and stopped them once and for all.

Thomas: That I agree, I have a score to settle with Diesel 10.

Pony Redheart: Well, before we see if he's ready to fight again, we need to weigh and take some blood to see if he's healthy. Right this way Thomas.

As she was walking beside Thomas with Sunset, Twilight and Cadence, some of Thomas' friends looked at what's going on. When he got on the scale, it revealed an automatic voice that's so loud a few had to cover their ears.

AI Voice: Good morning Thomas, lovely day we're having isn't it.

Thomas was so scared, he screamed and jumped in the ceiling and stayed there. Sunset, Twilight, Cadence, Emily, Percy and even the rest of the Steam Team looked up seeing Thomas shaking while stuck to the ceiling. The five couldn't contain themselves and started laughing, even James was laughing only to be kneed by Edward. Capper arrived and saw everything.

Capper: I'm so sorry Thomas, I was the one who did this. You see, I thought with my know-how on tech and all, I thought to revolutionize a little bit of Equestria, but it seems I might've made the AI voice a bit too loud.

Princess Cadence: It's okay sweetie, you can come down now.

Thomas was still breathing rather heavy until he was covered in a red aura and looked that it was Sunset. She brought him down gently and set him down on the ground. She approached him and gave him a sweet hug while rubbing her hoof along his back.

Sunset Shimmer: It's okay Thomas, it's okay. There's nothing to be scared about. It's okay.

Thomas: (Panting) Thanks Sunset, you're the best.

Lady: (Chuckles) Since when are you such a scaredy cat.

Thomas: Shut it Lady.

Princess Twilight: Well, I think that things are looking good for the most part. Thank you for assisting us Ms. Redheart.

Pony Redheart: You're welcome Princess Twilight, it's all part of my job.

Around that time, there's no other surprises. At night, the Steam Team is chatting around the outside of a diner. Meanwhile, Queen Chrysalis is at the throne room with the other changelings she rallied to hear her sinister plan.

Queen Chrysalis: Today my changelings, we've suffered a handful of defeats from the resistance, but not just with them, but also at the hands of a new kind of enemy, one we haven't encountered before, one's specialized in combat and have unique powers that regular ponies don't possess.

Changeling #1: So what should we do your majesty.

Queen Chrysalis: I thought of an ingenious plan, one so great, that the new threat won't even know what hit them, and I'll do it changeling style.

Queen Chrysalis: (Chuckles evilly) Oh, this is going to be fun. I will go on this mission alone, while you changelings keep watch of the castle, have it be ready when I return.

Changeling #1: Why's that your majesty.

Queen Chrysalis: I'll be undercover when I approach the resistance, and when I see the Steam Team, I'll "get to know them" per say.

She activated her magic as it swirled around her, and showed off her disguise, a unicorn photographer.

Photographer (Chrysalis): With this, surely they'll be oblivious to who I am.

Changeling #1: Excellent plan your excellency, shall we accompany you.

Photographer (Chrysalis): Didn't I say I'll be doing this alone thank you very much you insignificant fool. Now, I want you to keep watch of the castle while I'm gone.

With that, she teleported away. Around night, in the resistance base, Chrysalis teleported in and went outside to try to find the Steam Team. After a couple of minutes of searching, she managed to find them. They were busy chatting away with Sunset with them.

James: Phew, this whole resistance thing is starting to take its toll on me.

Edward: We hear you James, but we still got to continue our work to ensure we get ahead, otherwise Chrysalis might get the advantage over us.

Percy: I agree; I do not want to be bug dinner.

James: (Shudders, Retches) Percy, don't say, you're gonna make me sick.

Rebecca: But at least we won't be able to see Chrysalis for a while.

Sunset Shimmer: Well, at least you guys have your teamwork to back it up. You'll need it in case we do fight Chrysalis.

Thomas: Sunset is right; our teamwork can make the dream work.

Photographer (Chrysalis): Excuse me, but by any chance you are the Steam Team.

Gordon: We most certainly are miss, and you are?

Photographer (Chrysalis): Oh, where are my manners, well, I don't remember my name too much, but I am one of the photographers, part of the Canterlot Historical Society, someone sent me here to take pictures of the Steam Team for their courageous efforts in thwarting Chrysalis' attempts at takeover.

Toby: Well, it must be a huge honor if the society wants a picture of us.

Nia: Do you want a picture with us here?

Photographer (Chrysalis): Not that I'm against the resistance base or anything, it just doesn't provide an atmosphere for a good picture, if you know what I mean.

Emily: I mean; she does have a point when it comes to a good picture.

Sunset Shimmer: Are you guys sure you can trust her. I mean, not that I'm passing up a picture opportunity, but don't you think it's strange to go with her outside the resistance base when there's changelings out there.

Photographer (Chrysalis): Oh, it shouldn't take so long, once I'm done with a couple of pictures then we're heading back over here in no time, you have my word.

James: Come on Sunset, don't be such a downer, I've always wanted to have my picture taken and this could be my once in a lifetime chance.

Sunset Shimmer: Oh sure.

Thomas: Don't worry Sunset, I'll watch over them while we're gone okay.

Sunset Shimmer: Okay Thomas, I trust you. (Kisses his cheek) Be careful okay.

Thomas: We will.

The Steam Team and the photographer began walking out of the resistance base, as they were heading to Ponyville, the photographer tries talking to them.

Photographer (Chrysalis): So, not to be rude or anything, but what are your names. I'm just trying to get to know you more.

Thomas: Well, my name is Thomas, and these are my friends: Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Percy, Toby, Emily, Nia & Rebecca. Together, we make the Steam Team, and I lead them.

Photographer (Chrysalis): That must be a tall order for you to fill if you're tasked as leader of the team.

Percy: Yeah, I agree. He may have his quirks, but we're lucky to have him as our leader.

James: Percy's right, without him, I never thought I recovered from my deadly accident.

Photographer (Chrysalis): That must be quite the experience you have, I can never imagine if I was in your shoes.

James: It isn't pretty; I can tell you that.

As they were walking through town, they managed to get to the center of town.

Photographer (Chrysalis): Just give me a couple of minutes to set things up, but I want you guys to be in a U shape so that way I'll be able to take a picture.

Thomas: Certainly.

So they stand in a U, as the photographer start setting up the area for a picture. The photographer looked at the fountain, that's when Thomas noticed something odd, she's staying where she is.

Thomas: Miss, are you alright?

Photographer (Chrysalis): Oh, I'm alright, in fact, (Chrysalis' voice) it just got a whole lot better! (Laughs)

Green magic started flowing around her as the Steam Team shield their eyes, her body transforms into a black coloration, her mane and tail transform into a dark teal color, her legs elongate with revealing holes as well as her neck grows, wings sprout out, finally her horn is revealed and her eyes pop out. The Steam Team could not believe what they've just seen.

Queen Chrysalis: (Laughs evilly) Well, well, so nice to finally meet you Steam Team, in person that is.

Thomas: So, you're Queen Chrysalis huh, Princess Twilight told me all about your reign of terror.

Queen Chrysalis: (Chuckles) Oh really, I just wanna show the ponies of my power and supremacy, and I won't rest until they'll submit to my rule.

Gordon: Sorry Chrysalis, but we won't let that happen.

Queen Chrysalis: I knew you will all say that, so since I'm being sincere, I'll spare you all, if you can beat me.

She shot a neon green energy beam at them, which made them jump out of the way, only for James, Nia and Percy to charge towards her.

James: Face me you bug woman!

He used his magic to try to swing his ax at her, but she dodged and fired blasts only for James to deflect them with his ax.

Queen Chrysalis: Impressive, but not a proper way a unicorn performs in a fight. How about this!

She fired a neon green beam of magic at James which sends him back a little, but James isn't going to give up.

James: Okay, you're strong, but are you fast enough!

James' hooves pop out his skates and started skating towards her. Chrysalis was surprised by this, until she was met with a bunch of kicks to the face and one kick sent her crashing into a cart, hurt but not badly, she got up.

Queen Chrysalis: Well now, wasn't expecting that. But it's not good enough.

She blasted a beam of magic which hits James and sends him crashing into the ground. Percy raced over to him.

Percy: Are you okay James?

James: I'm okay Percy. Chrysalis is coming up from behind!

He turned and teleported away as Chrysalis swooped in to try to grab him. He reappeared right in front of her on ground level as she was hovering in the air.

Queen Chrysalis: You think you have what it takes to beat me little unicorn.

Percy: You have no idea Chrysalis, in fact, eat lead!

He started firing at Chrysalis to which she was dodging, but she got hit by some of his shots. She fired her magic but Percy is teleporting all over the place as she was firing.

Queen Chrysalis: Quite an arsenal you have, but unfortunately, that won't save you forever.

She fired a neon green blast just as he was about to teleport which exploded underneath and crash into a fruit stand, which some fruit fell on top of him and a few got stuck on his horn.

Percy: Oh great, I'm getting bad fruit vibes when I had my encounter with fruit.

Nia: Are you okay Percy?

Percy: I'm fine Nia, just covered in fruit is all. Chrysalis is coming!

Queen Chrysalis: Your mine!

Nia: Not this time.

She got out her Bo staff with her magic at such quick timing, she whacked it at Chrysalis' face which sent her crashing into a café. She crawled out of the wreckage as she looked at Nia.

Queen Chrysalis: Impressive quick draw, but that won't save you.

She fired magic out of her horn as Nia twirled her Bo staff to deflect the blasts, she keeps doing this until Chrysalis flew in and grabbed her staff with her hanging onto it and threw her into a pile of boxes, but Nia managed to stay strong as she whips out her bow and fired multiple arrows at her, to which she dodged them.

Queen Chrysalis: (Chuckles) A mere unicorn using a bow to fight me, how pathetic.

Using her magic, she disarmed Nia from her bow. She then wiped out her whip and used it to grab one of her legs.

Nia: How about this one?

With a heave, she swung her whip with Chrysalis attached into the ground, furious, she blasted her magic at the whip which set her free, now she has left is her sword. She brought it out and pointed it at Chrysalis, waiting for a strike.

Queen Chrysalis: (Chuckles) My, you certainly are full of surprises, since when have you become such an efficient warrior.

Nia: Wouldn't you like to know.

Her sword powered up and shot out an orange plasma wave at Chrysalis, she shot forwards and dodged the wave and pounded Nia with her hooves and kicked her in a pile of boxes. Feeling satisfied, she turned but only to see Edward in front of her.

Queen Chrysalis: And what are you gonna do old-timer.

Edward: I may be old, but I'm still more than capable to tangle with you.

He whipped out his blasters and started firing at her, to which she dodged and flew away from the shots. She fired her magic as the shots collided. She then flew the fastest she can muster and start creating a column of air. Edward tried to fire but Chrysalis came in and delivered some blows to Edward. She ended up grabbing him with her magic and threw him into a flower bed. She turns to see Rebecca and Gordon in their fighting stances.

Queen Chrysalis: Well, isn't this a surprise, I never knew one of your members is an alicorn. Let's see if you're a better matchup than the others.

Rebecca: You'll see just how powerful I am.

She fired a neon green beam of magic as well as Chrysalis, the beams collided as it became a shoving match. Chrysalis being stronger, increases her beam and pushed through Rebecca's, only for her to teleport out of harm's way as the beam smashes into a building. Rebecca returned as Chrysalis turned to her.

Queen Chrysalis: Hmm, my, you are something alright, but let's see if you can handle this.

She fired a stream of beams at Rebecca to which she blocked by her hooves making a solar shield, she then turned to Gordon.

Rebecca: Gordon, try to use your speed to help me out.

Gordon: With pleasure Rebecca.

As she's holding off Chrysalis' attack, Gordon zoomed by and hammered Chrysalis with his hammer, which sent her crashing into an abandoned house.

Gordon: Nobody messes with my friends Chrysalis.

Queen Chrysalis: (Growls) I'll make you pay for that.

She fired a neon green beam at Gordon, only for him to speed away from it, with his speed.

Queen Chrysalis: How are you able to do that. No Pegasus has shown that level of speed, not even Rainbow Dash.

Gordon: I'm just that special!

As Gordon continued distracting Chrysalis with his speed, Rebecca fired a sun beam at Chrysalis from her hooves, to which she sees it and fires another beam at her as the beams collided but she put in much more strength to which it hits her and sends her crashing into a store window.

Gordon: Rebecca! That's it!

He then used his speed along with his hammer to try to hit Chrysalis, but she used his magic to envelop his hammer and stop him in midflight. Gordon was surprised, while Chrysalis smirked.

Gordon: What! That's impossible!

Queen Chrysalis: Nothing is impossible when you're a villainous genius like me. I know you have a heavy hammer which in turn will be an obvious target for me to grab with my magic. And now, you're dismissed!

She threw Gordon hard which made crash into the street creating an impression. She turned to Emily and Thomas.

Queen Chrysalis: I must say, your allies are powerful, but they still have much to learn, care to show me a test of real power.

Emily: Yeah, try me!

Emily flew towards Chrysalis with her katana as she tried to slash her, but Chrysalis is too quick and agile for her to get a good strike.

Queen Chrysalis: My, you sure are a tempered one, this shouldn't be too hard.

She fired a neon green beam at her, which Emily used her sword to try deflecting it. It worked but she managed to disarm Emily. Smiling, she fired another beam but Emily generated explosive emerald Shurikens from her hooves and threw them at the beam to which it exploded. Chrysalis couldn't see through the smoke until Emily is there.

Emily: How about this one?

She generated more Shurikens and threw them at Chrysalis, to which she caught them in her magic.

Queen Chrysalis: (Laughs) Is that it, how pathetic.

Emily: Oh, there's more to them than just that, witch!

Then, it exploded in front of her which sent her crashing to the ground. She got up with a few scuff marks on her face.

Queen Chrysalis: Well, aren't you full of surprises. But this won't save you.

She fired a beam of magic at Emily, which sends her flying off and crashing to the ground. She got up and turned to Thomas, to which her eyes widened, she saw the number one cutie mark. Thomas stared at Chrysalis with watchful eyes.

Queen Chrysalis: So, you're the number one alicorn that the other changelings are talking about. My, you certainly are quite the specimen.

Thomas: Don't even try to gawk at me Chrysalis, you'll pay for what you did to my friends.

Queen Chrysalis: (Chuckles) You certainly will be a worthy opponent, let's see how well you fight.

This made Thomas mad, and his horn powered up as he fired a beam of gold dust at Chrysalis, she fired another neon green beam to counteract his, but as the beams collided, Thomas' beams were a little stronger, this took Chrysalis completely by surprise.

Queen Chrysalis: (Thoughts) Impossible, no mere unicorn or even alicorn for that matter can keep his beam for this long. But my, he's certainly a worthy opponent.

The beam hit Chrysalis and sent her skidding across the ground.

Queen Chrysalis: That's an impressive show of power you have Thomas, show me more.

Thomas: You'll see more when I'm through with you.

He pounded his hooves on the ground, which showed cracks coming towards to Chrysalis. She jumped out of the way as a blast of gold was shot out of the ground. She was impressed so she charged forwards to which her horn created a blade construct, and before it clashed, it was met with his sword as Thomas skidded back.

Queen Chrysalis: (Chuckles) My, my, you have certainly impressed me Thomas. The power you possess, it's unlike anything I've seen before. Your power will be mine when I possess it.

Thomas: Don't count on it!

He shot a beam at her, which makes her crash into the ground. He fired again but Chrysalis teleported away, and fired another beam, only for Thomas to bring up a shield to protect him. Thomas then raised his hooves and generated gold energy orbs. He threw them at Chrysalis, to which she dodges them as they explode. The area around is covered in smoke, as Thomas looks around for Chrysalis.

Thomas: I'll admit you're a worthy fighter, but it won't save you.

Queen Chrysalis: (Chuckles) I say the same for you, I'll be looking forward to meeting you again.

She flew out of the smoke, and fired a neon green beam at Thomas which sent him crashing through a food cart and falling to the ground. Chrysalis turned to Toby.

Queen Chrysalis: This should be no challenge.

Toby: Try me, I don't fall down that easy.

He activated his magic and levitated his scythe. Chrysalis was surprised, but not too impressed.

Queen Chrysalis: Well then, this should be interesting.

Chrysalis fired magic blasts at Toby, but he was swinging his scythe all over to deflect the blasts. Chrysalis growled and fired a neon green beam at him. Toby tried to deflect it, but he wasn't quick enough and it caught his scythe, disarming him. But Toby didn't give up.

Queen Chrysalis: (Laughs) Without your weapon, you have nothing.

Toby: Don't count on it.

He used his magic and it levitated planks, shards and broken pieces of wood as it spiraled around Toby. Chrysalis was surprised seeing a unicorn use this power. Toby then sent every piece of wood he's got at Chrysalis. She put up a barrier to try to protect herself as pieces of wood start zipping by her, a few pieces manage to give her a few scratches on her, until she teleported.

Toby: What the, where did you go.

Queen Chrysalis: (Chuckles) I'm everywhere, and you can't see me.

Chrysalis fired her beam at Toby which sends him tumbling to the ground, she smirked and turns to the last remaining member of the Steam Team, Henry.

Queen Chrysalis: Surely this couldn't be this simple.

Henry: There's more to me than you can think of.

Queen Chrysalis: (Chuckles) Well then, show me.

Henry placed his hoof firm on the ground, and as Chrysalis powers up her horn, but then a vine comes out and wraps it around her horn to which she was surprised.

Queen Chrysalis: Magic? Since when can an Earth pony like you possess magic.

Henry: It's special magic that you certainly can't possess, I have the power of Mother Nature herself and you can't do nothing about it.

Queen Chrysalis: Hmm, we shall see.

With one thrust, Chrysalis pulled the vine with Henry, the vine was attached to his leg when he used that attack. She twirled her horn and it spun Henry around like he's in a twister and thrusted him down onto the ground creating a crater. Chrysalis walked up to a groaning Henry.

Queen Chrysalis: I must say, you Steam Team certainly have impressed with your fighting skills but at the same time, all your powers and strong moves. I don't know where you guys come from, but I will find out where you're from, and your power will be mine.

She walked over to where Thomas is lying on the ground, he was struggling to get up the ground. She brought her hoof out and placed it under his chin and brought his head up to hers.

Queen Chrysalis: And you Thomas, has certainly surprised me the most. I'm gonna enjoy fighting you and even, getting to know you more, along with figuring out your power.

Thomas: (Groans) Not….in a million…. years.

His horn activated and his magic spreads to every one of the Steam Team as they teleport away, leaving Chrysalis wide-eyed but not surprised.

Queen Chrysalis: My, the Steam Team just keep surprising me by the day. But this still won't change my resolve in having the resistance fall under my forces, and they won't rest until they're all dealt with. Try to win, but you will fall. (Laughs evilly)

In the resistance base, Sunset and Starlight were hanging out with the Young Six, she was getting worried for the Steam Team.

Sunset Shimmer: I'm really worried for the Steam Team; I hope they're okay.

Starlight Glimmer: I'm sure they're okay Sunset, they can handle themselves.

Sunset Shimmer: I know, but I just can't help but feel worried about them.

Then, as if by magic, the Steam Team landed on the ground, to which the group saw.

Sunset Shimmer: Thomas!

Sunset, Starlight, the Young Six arrived to help out the Steam Team. After a while, they managed to get them to the infirmary, Redheart is assessing their injuries. Cadence, Lady, Celestia, Twilight and Luna were there to see what's going on.

Princess Twilight: How are they nurse.

Pony Redheart: They're okay, they're not suffering any life-threatening injuries, just some cuts and bruises. I can treat them with some bandages.

Thomas: No offense, but treat me instead, I have the power to heal my friends.

Princess Twilight: A healing power? That's amazing!

Pony Redheart: Very well, but try to not exert yourself.

Thomas tried to stay standing, since taking the blow from Chrysalis, but Sunset is there to support him. He walked over to his friends, his horn glows gold as its aura hovered over their wounds and bruises, and by magic, the injuries slowly fade away to which they were amazed.

Princess Luna: That is a remarkable ability. Most unicorns and alicorns have this healing ability, but yours Sir Thomas, might be the purest form of this ability, particularly when you used Gold Dust.

Lady: I'm glad I got to share my power to the protector of Sodor.

Thomas: (Blushes) Oh, Lady.

Everyone laughed except James, inside he felt angry, because Thomas was so blind to realize that the photographer was Chrysalis in disguise. Of course, he couldn't determine that the photographer was Chrysalis, but James knew it was Thomas' fault for not detecting her sooner. After a while, Thomas got patched up as they walked out of the infirmary. That's when it happened.

James: You know what Thomas; you can either be an utter prat or just plain blind!

Thomas: What, what are you….

James: Save it puffball, you could've detected who that photographer really was, you could've known that she was Chrysalis after all. You're just so blind that you could've stopped her from the beginning! You're utterly useless!

Thomas was hurt by what James said, his eyes weld up tears as he raced off to the entrance of the base.

Sunset Shimmer: Thomas, wait!

Cadence, Nia, Rebecca, Sunset, Young Six, Luna, Celestia and Luna raced over to comfort Thomas. That's when Edward reached his breaking point and confronted James.

Edward: You know what James, I don't get what's going on in your thick-skulled brain, that gave you the idea to berate on Thomas like that, but it's not cool in the least bit.

James: Listen old-timer, Thomas has failed way too many times in the past and now he needs to learn his lesson.

Edward: Well, I'm sorry but your approach on this, is not okay. You need to get your attitude adjusted otherwise it's gonna bite you in the ass.

James: You take that back!

James then slapped Edward in the face with his hoof, the Steam Team gasped at what just happened. Edward rubbed his hoof at the spot where James struck, this time Edward was really cross. Edward lunged at James as they fought inside a cloud.

Henry: Hey, get off my friend!

Percy: What he said James!

Henry and Percy also joined in the fray, Toby and Emily tried to separate them but they were suddenly pulled in the fray as the fight cloud. Gordon was cross at their behavior.

Gordon: What a load of rubbish you guys are doing!

As the fighting worsened, he was suddenly hit in the face, that made him furious.

Gordon: Alright, that's it!

He finally joined them, outside Thomas was sniffling and crying, but Sunset, Twilight, Cadence, the Princesses and the Young Six were with him to comfort him. Sunset was hugging him and rubbing his back with her hoof.

Sunset Shimmer: There, there Thomas. It's okay, I'm sure James didn't mean what he said. It's gonna be okay.

Thomas: (Sniffles) No, he's right.

Smolder: Pah, don't listen to that fusspot, you're better than this.

Rebecca: Smolder's right Thomas, James is probably blowing off steam and I'm sure he'll resolve.

Gallus: I hope so Rebecca, because the way these guys are going at it, I don't think there's a sense of resolve.

Sandbar: Yeah, no kidding. The way they're fighting, they're fighting like mad cats about to kill each other.

They look to see the Steam Team continue fighting.

Princess Twilight: We'll hopefully try to break them up and have them be dealt with.

Princess Cadence: I think so, I'm sure they didn't mean it like that.

As the team continues fighting, the princesses approach them, Celestia nodded to Luna. She breathed in and out as she looked at them.

Princess Luna: (Royal voice) SILENCE!

The cloud dissipated as the Steam Team stopped, but they're all tangled up. Celestia and Luna used their magic to separate them and put them down, Sunset glared at them.

Sunset Shimmer: You guys should be ashamed of yourselves, fighting amongst yourselves when there's bigger things at stake here. Can't you see that you've hurt Thomas more times than none. You've done something like this before, when we have to fight Diesel to get our school back. If you guys keep fighting amongst yourselves, we'll never be able to stop Diesel 10 and free Equestria from Chrysalis' tyranny.

Sunset wrapped a hoof around Thomas to comfort him, at least he's feeling a bit better with Sunset by his side. The rest of the engines looked at each other and then at Thomas and seeing what's going on, they felt terrible.

Edward: I'm so terribly sorry, I don't know what came over me.

Henry: Same here, violence is so not my nature.

Percy: I'M SORRY THOMAS! PLEASE FORGIVE ME! (Softly cries)

Toby: I really can't explain my actions today Thomas, I'm so sorry.

Emily: (Sniffles) I'm sorry Thomas, I was just so blinded by anger, I couldn't see what's affecting you.

Gordon: It was both disgraceful, disgusting and despicable of such an action, right James.

James: Wha….

He looked to see Sunset glaring at him, knowing that he was the one that started this.

James: (Sighs) Oh alright, this is all my fault. I went in way too far, I should never have said that, and I was a big buffoon. I'm really sorry Thomas, really I am. You must think I'm a terrible friend.

Thomas was hesitant to speak, but walked over to James.

Thomas: I-I forgive you James, and you're not a terrible friend. Just don't ever do that again, or else I might have to hurt you. (Winks)

James smiled and the two hoof-bumped, mending their friendship. The group smiled at the Steam Team mending their disagreements.

Percy: So, shall we have ourselves a party!

The group cheered as they head to the hotel, Sunset bumped her flank against Thomas which she couldn't help but giggle.

Sunset Shimmer: (Giggles) Seems like my cobalt star is finally back to his old self.

Thomas: (Chuckles) And hopefully, I will stay like this forever.

Sunset Shimmer: I'll believe it. (Kisses his cheek) Now come on, we got a party to celebrate.

Thomas: Now that I agree. But, let me kiss you.

Sunset Shimmer: You'll have to catch me. (Giggles)

The two chased each other around the courtyard of the base, laughing all the way. In Canterlot Castle, Chrysalis smirked as she looked out at the horizon.

Queen Chrysalis: (Chuckles) Today is just perfect, the so-called "Steam Team" have truly impressed me, especially Thomas. I'll be looking forward to meeting them again, and fighting them, until they're no more. (Laughs evilly)
