Side Story: Connections

After the Final Cinderella, a year has passed to 2008 and Charlotte, now 22, has been thinking hard. Ever since Curse of Briar Rose, she's been getting weird cases since her collaboration vision back at the palace. Once at the office, she got all her papers as she walked to her office. Already people are leaving to close up to go home. Uncle Body walked into Charlotte's office. "What are you doing? You have to get home. The next cases are not even in yet."

Charlotte said, "Research. All of my cases are connected somehow and I'm going to figure out how."

Uncle Boddy said, "Yeah, they connected through you and your visions."

Charlotte said, "Yeah but that's scratching the surface. I need to know details."

Uncle Boddy sighs. "You mad about the hidden kid, are you?"

Charlotte said, "More liked peeved but at least I got $300 out of it."

Uncle Boddy took off his coat. "Well then I'm ordering Chinese and we're going to do this together. Good thing your wolf is at your place already. Where's your girl-friend?"

Charlotte said, "Good and she's visiting her mother." She dumped all the papers to the ground and put the empty folders on her table. "Let's get to work."

Uncle Boddy sweat-dropped. He got the phone and ordered dinner. "You owe me for this."

Charlotte said, "I owe you for a lot of stuff, this doesn't count." She sat on the floor and started to work like Shepard from NCIS.

Uncle Boddy hang up the phone after he order food. "Are you expecting to find connections to Curse of the Nightingale?"

Charlotte said, "I don't know. I think deep inside I hope there's something. Why else we haven't found grandpa?"

Uncle Boddy got on the ground and started to help Charlotte. "Good question."

After a few hours, and the Chinese food came in Charlotte said, "Well I got connections on Briar Rose."

Uncle Boddy asked, "What you got?"

Charlotte picked up some papers and said, "For one, this is the first case to refer to godmothers. Godmothers play a large role in the fifth case of the series, The Final Cinderella. It's unclear if there's a correlation between the two kinds of godmothers."

Uncle Boddy said, "I doubt there's any since you only found records of the Maiden Goddess."

Charlotte said, "Right. Second me and my colleagues saw many birds on the rooftop of the castle, as well as a Carrier Pigeon sitting in the window of Briar Rose's sleeping chamber. It seems the Frog Prince has been sending the pigeons to keep an eye on Briar."

Uncle Boddy asked, "So he knew about her?"

Charlotte said, "Well remember the guy that kissed her was the Frog Prince's brother. I also got, once awakened, Briar Rose told us that we must now go and lift a curse from the Frog Prince, which serves as a teaser for the next case in the series - The Exiled Prince including the "Secret Room" contains a statue of the Frog Prince and the paintings."

Uncle Boddy asked, "What about the Spindle Room?"

Charlotte answered, "It was basically an epilogue to Curse of Briar Rose, so it is deeply connected to the content of that case. That and we learn of Princess Ivy here, and also learn that she was Briar Rose's sister. What do you get on the Exiled Prince?"

Uncle Boddy got his papers. "Early in the case, we find the remains of Rach Neumann, the Blue Tea Thief."

Charlotte asked, "Who? I know I've seen the guy multiple times but who?"

Uncle Boddy said, "There's clones of the guy everywhere and he's been a thorn in our sides for decades. So far, he hasn't harm the Eipix branch but there's a chance he'll show up again one way or another. Anyway, I also got Princess Ivy was the sister of Briar Rose, the princess we rescued in Curse of Briar Rose. In that case, Ivy thanks us for lifting the curse from her beloved sister."

Charlotte said, "Yeah I remember that. What else?"

Uncle Boddy said, "One of James' wives is Cinderella. In the Final Cinderella, we learn that there are many Cinderellas. James' wife is revealed to be Agnes Koch. Is it me or was I the only one that thought there was only one."

Charlotte shook her head. "You're not the only one. Though she wasn't the first."

Uncle Boddy nodded. "One of James' wives is called The Little Mermaid. And you think there's more than one?"

Charlotte said, "That parable is from the boy who cries wolf can't be the only tale."

Uncle Boddy said, "We'll find out more once you get that case. Anyway, one of James' wives is called Swan Lake Princess. What ending do you think she got?"

Charlotte said, "Hopefully a happy ending."

Uncle Boddy said, "One of James' wives is Snow White, who plays a major role in the third case, Rise of the Snow Queen."

Charlotte said, "Oh I remember that one."

Uncle Boddy chuckled. "Inside the greenhouse devoted to Princess Ivy, we find a wide variety of exotic plants. One of them appears to be a Nightbloom from the kingdom of Floralia, which you'll see soon. Did you notice the Nightbloom?"

Charlotte shook her head. "I didn't. Probably because I wasn't affected by it. Heck I think all those flowers were fake. What else?"

Uncle Boddy said, "Inside James' shrine to Snow White, there is a wooden puppet of Snow lying in a glass coffin. This puppet is similar in style and design to the life-sized, intricate puppets made by Geppetto."

Charlotte nodded. "That explains a lot. Think he's done the other shrines?"

Uncle Boddy said, "Well, listen to this. It's also possible Geppetto assisted in the completion of the Snow White shrine or the entire Underground Kingdom itself. So, he might of. We need to make a timeline document."

Charlotte said, "We will once we get more info."

Uncle Boddy said, "You will on the next seven cases. The ones you did don't count. At the end of the case, we find snow and Marie, the chancellor's daughter, tells us of a woman who stared at her with an ice cold gaze and spoke of a Snowfall Kingdom. These things are teasers for the third case, Rise of the Snow Queen. Additionally, there are two apples that are needed to open Snow White's shrine. These are the apples of Gold and Silver, and while silver apples don't directly correspond to the events of Rise of the Snow Queen, the golden apple does. Wonder what the silver represents."

Charlotte said, "No idea. What about the Frozen Lair?"

Uncle Boddy said, "We find Princess Ivy's tomb. An inscription on it reads, "Sister Ivy and Sister Briar Rose: Release the spirit of one and you shall free the other." We see gorgeous artwork and statuary of Snow White and her husband, Prince James. The entire area is cold and we see symbols and evidence of snow and ice everywhere, foreshadowing the Snowfall Kingdom locale, where our next adventure awaits in Rise of the Snow Queen. We learn that Snow White did not die, but instead left the Frog Prince. We see Snow White's portrait change into a portrait of the Snow Queen. Hidden in a wall cache, we find a document signed by the Snow Queen, titled "Details pertinent to the death of the Godmother". We still don't know what Godmother this refers to or if it's a typo meant to say Stepmother."

Charlotte said, "That's one big of a typo."

Uncle Boddy said, "Well remember she was under the Mirror's control so it could go either way. Speaking on Snow Queen what you got?"

Charlotte got her papers. "The Snow Queen gave the Order of the Red Riding Hood Sisters the Truth Mirror for saving her son from the Mist Wolves."

Uncle Boddy said, "That's one pretty obvious."

Charlotte nodded. "We see a decree from Prince James and the remains of an ambush on the knights of the Underground Kingdom, who were sent to capture Snow White and a frog stands at the site of the ambush, reminiscent of the frogs in The Exiled Prince. I wonder what the decree was for."

Uncle Boddy said, "I think it was around that time that Snow White put him under the spell of turning anyone he touches into frogs."

Charlotte shrugged. "When Snow White returns to herself at the end of the case, her appearance changes back to the way she was portrayed in The Exiled Prince. Brown hair and all, though I don't why she kept the Snow Queen clothes later on."

Uncle Boddy said, "Well you did say she kept her ice powers so it's probably a reminder of the mistake she made and to make sure it won't happen again."

Charlotte nodded and looked back at her papers. "At the very end of the case, we see a snippet of a scene in the Mirror Room of the Snowfall Kingdom palace. Within the False Mirror's reflection of the room, we see an ominous female figure in a bright red robe, surrounded by black wolves with glowing red eyes - a teaser for the next case, The Red Riding Hood Sisters. Many characters like Gerda, Snow White, and Kai appear in the seventh Dark Parables case, Ballad of Rapunzel - most of them playing a large role in the plot of the game."

Uncle Boddy said, "Sometimes I love your visions."

"Not me." Said Charlotte. "As for Hansel and Gretel, this is the second time we've found a gigantic spider blocking our way. The first was in Curse of Briar Rose. We learn how the Golden Child came to be. The Golden Child plays a large role in Rise of the Snow Queen. As hinted in the Epilogue, we definitely will see this witch again... in case six, Jack and the Sky Kingdom. The Moon Goddess who makes Hansel the Golden Child plays an important role in the next case, The Red Riding Hood Sisters."

Uncle Boddy said, "Speaking of which found a couple of connections myself."

Charlotte asked, "What you got?"

Uncle Boddy looked at his notes. "We find a frozen memorial to Gwyn from Rise of the Snow Queen in the forest." Charlotte nodded. "The Snow Queen gave the Red Riding Hood Sisters the Truth Mirror for saving her son from the Mist Wolves. In the Mist Kingdom church, we see statues depicting each of the Frog Prince's wives (Minus one). Still haven't figure why no Swan Princess?"

Charlotte shook her head. "Nope."

Uncle Boddy looked back at his notes. "Briar Rose from Curse of Briar Rose assists us in our investigation. We learn that she has joined the Order of the Red Riding Hood Sisters." Charlotte nodded. "In the Mist Kingdom palace's treasure room, we find a glass slipper display with etchings related to Cinderella. Any idea of the queen was a Cinderella?"

Charlotte said, "I think she was but it was around the time that Amelia has gone crazy."

Uncle Boddy said, "Feel sorry for her." Then back to his notes. "In the Fabled Land, we find a pumpkin coach, a teaser for the next case, which is devoted to Cinderella. While escaping the Fabled Land, if you go into the room with the pumpkin coach, you will see a figure in a white ball gown running up the staircase to the glass palace beyond. Another clue for The Final Cinderella. The teaser at the end of the case focuses on the pumpkin coach found in the Fabled Land. A hand in a white glove reaches out, then a foot clad in a glass slipper steps out onto the ground with a stomp. The teaser makes it certain that the next game will feature the tale of Cinderella."

Charlotte said, "Doesn't get any obvious then that."

Uncle Boddy laughed. "As for Boy Who Cried Wolf, this tale takes place in the Mist Kingdom, 500 years before the events of The Red Riding Hood Sisters. The Evil Witch rears her ugly head yet again. We see a gingerbread man in the Evil Witch's cottage. The Boy wonders aloud if the Witch is planning on building a Gingerbread House. We saw this Gingerbread House in Hansel and Gretel. We return to the Greedy King's treasure room (previously seen in The Red Riding Hood Sisters) and get a closer look at the base of the Glass Slipper display there. On it, there are engravings of Cinderella and her Pumpkin Coach. Huh. Maybe he stole it as treasure then the Queen being a Cinderella."

Charlotte shrugged. "Maybe. Anyway, my turn." She looked at her notes. "The Mansion Gate is locked with a Pumpkin Coach lock that needs two medallions to open it. One is an Ivy medallion, the other a Rose medallion - like the sisters, Princess Ivy and Briar Rose."

Uncle Boddy asked, "Why always Ivy and Rose?"

Charlotte shrugged. "In the dressing room of the Hilltop Mansion, we see an engraving of the Frog Prince and his princess. In this same room, we find the Closet Shrine of Agnes Koch, James' wife." Uncle Boddy nodded. "The tears of a Golden Child are used to open the Mirror Portal in the Ruins. How they got there I don't know." Uncle Boddy laughed. "In the Mirror World, we find a bag of Beanstalk Beans. When planted, they grow a gigantic beanstalk. This is a hint to the next series in the series, Jack and the Sky Kingdom. I didn't catch that. I thought it was part of the world."

Uncle Boddy said, "Main golden rule: Don't assume anything."

Charlotte nodded. "We find a Red Riding Hood Robe in Amelia's sewing room. Amelia was the one who made these robes for the Sisterhood, imbuing them with the magic that would keep animals from detecting their scent."

Uncle Boddy said, "Cool."

Charlotte said, "In Geppetto's workshop, we find a map of the Red Riding Hood Sisters' hideout on the wall, suggesting that Geppetto had a hand in building it. I guess they worked together prior for the craziness."

Uncle Boddy said, "That's what I'm thinking."

Charlotte looked at her notes. "We find a book telling the story a crooked man and a crooked cat in Geppetto's secret room. There's also finely carved figures of the cat and the man from the tale. These allude to the spin-off case, Cursery: The Crooked Man and the Crooked Cat." Charlotte groaned.

Uncle Boddy said, "One hell of a night that was huh?"

"You have no idea." Charlotte went back to her notes. "Tablets in the Maiden Goddess's temple tell us how Amelia helped many Cinderellas, including Agnes, who went on to marry the Frog Prince. In the Mirror World, we find the remnants of a beanstalk that was chopped down. We also see the Sky Kingdom floating in the sky above. These things allude to the next game in the series, Jack and the Sky Kingdom. Oddly enough, there are giant footprints beside the beanstalk - an oddity, since giants are uninvolved in case six."

Uncle Boddy said, "That was always confuses me. Why no giants?"

Charlotte said, "I think the giants were a metaphor for the King's wealth. The teaser vision at the end of the case features a quick trip up the beanstalk we saw earlier, culminated in our first glimpse of the Sky Kingdom."

Uncle Boddy said, "I wonder if there's more than one."

Charlotte said, "I doubt it. Anyway, I got stuff on the bonus case."

Uncle Boddy asked, "Like what?"

Charlotte said, "Inside the cottage, we meet Amelia. She introduces herself as Princess Shan's Godmother. Amelia's cottage is the same as the cottage Pinocchio lived in within the Mirror World. On Blazing Mountain, we meet Geppetto. He is on his worldwide quest for wood to make his puppet masterpiece with. He catches sight of Amelia and falls in love at first sight. And we see much here about Witches, Spiders, and Immortality Potions. All of these things call to mind the Evil Witch. She may or may not have a hand in the events here. Still unclear at the moment."

Uncle Boddy said, "Can't believe she's your first 'Waller'."

Charlotte said, "Same here. Anything on Jack and the Beanstalk?"

Uncle Boddy said, "Spoilers."

Charlotte groaned and fell back. "You gotta be kidding me. You gotta tell me something."

Uncle Boddy said, "You need lay off the theorist self of your mind. Any longer and you'll end up as a Hikikomori."

Charlotte lifted up her head. "That's Japanese manga and anime. Not theories. I think you mean paranoia. And unlike them, I have a life." She lay her head back down. "I just thought there was more connections that involve future cases."

Uncle Boddy said, "I can't spoil everything. Why not use your future vision?"

Charlotte glared. "I ain't Garnet from Steven Universe. They come and go as they please. I will say this, if I get three ending it's going to be a nightmare to figure it out."

Uncle Boddy asked, "What would trigger it anyway?"

Charlotte said, "Three different weapons or in my Phoenix Queen book, making a choice and to find the right one. And if you read the book you'll know what I'm talking about."

Uncle Boddy said, "I've read it."

Charlotte sat up. "You barely went through the prologue before using it as a paper weight and using it to balance a table."

Uncle Boddy blushed in embarrassment. "It's not my fault your rival does good work."

Charlotte said, "Yeah but thanks to that jackass I only had enough money to pay off Rebecca's student loan and to pay off my publisher."

Uncle Boddy said, "I told you to do self-publishing."

Charlotte said, "Hey I tried when I did before and look how those turn out." She rubbed her head. Uncle Boddy took his glasses off and rubbed his head. He too was stumped. Then Charlotte asked, "Wanna watch Casino?"

Uncle Boddy asked, "More Chinese?"

Charlotte said, "Ice cream."

The 2 got up from the floor and went to the home theater at the 3rd floor of the building. Uncle Boddy asked, "You really like Joe Persci and Robert De Niro huh?"

Charlotte said, "When it comes to mob movies, they're right up there. After Casino we'll do New Jack City."

Uncle Boddy got the ice cream out and gave her a spoon. "Not getting any sleep huh?"

Charlotte said, "To be honest I'm nearly getting a headache and maybe this will help." The 2 sat down and watched the movie.

In 1973, sports handicapper and Mafia associate Sam "Ace" Rothstein is sent to Las Vegas to run the Teamsters Union-funded Tangiers Casino on behalf of the Chicago Outfit, which secretly controls the Teamsters, while Philip Green serves as the Mob's front man. Taking advantage of gaming laws that allow him to work in a casino while his gaming license is pending, Sam doubles the casino's profits, which are skimmed by the Mafia before they are reported to income tax agencies. Impressed with his work, Mafia boss Remo Gaggi sends Sam's childhood friend and mob enforcer Nicholas "Nicky" Santoro and his associate Frank "Frankie" Marino to protect Sam and the whole operation. Nicky's volatile temper soon gets him banned from every casino in Las Vegas, so he gathers his own crew and engages in independent shakedowns and burglaries, instead.

Sam meets and falls in love with a hustler and former prostitute, Ginger McKenna. They conceive a daughter and marry, but their marriage is proven difficult by Ginger's covetousness and love for her manipulative former boyfriend, con artist-turned pimp Lester Diamond. Lester is beaten severely by Sam and Nicky after they catch him conning Ginger out of some money. Ginger subsequently turns to alcohol. Meanwhile, Sam makes an enemy in county commissioner Pat Webb for firing his brother-in-law Don Ward for incompetence. When Sam refuses to reinstate him, Webb pulls Sam's license from the backlog, forcing him to face a hearing for his gaming license while secretly arranging for the board to deny Sam. Sam blames the incident on Nicky's recklessness and the two argue furiously in the desert after Sam attempts to tell Nicky to leave Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, the casino counters begin stealing some money for themselves, prompting the Midwest Mafia bosses to put Artie Piscano of the Kansas City mafia in charge of overseeing the transactions. Piscano is unable to find the thieves, but keeps tabs on everything he knows about Las Vegas in a private notebook, ranting about it in his grocery store. The FBI, investigating a separate crime, have wired Piscano's store, and Piscano's detailed complaints, complete with names, spurs the FBI to begin investigating the casino. Meanwhile, Sam finally seeks divorce from Ginger, tired of her alcoholism. She then kidnaps their daughter, Amy, taking her to Los Angeles, and plans to flee to Europe with Lester. Sam convinces her to come back with Amy, and then scolds her for stealing his money and kidnapping their daughter. After he overhears Ginger talking on the phone about killing him, he kicks her out of the house, but soon relents. Ginger then approaches Nicky for help in getting her valuables from their shared vault in the bank, and the two start an affair. Sam discovers this after finding Amy tied to her bed by Ginger, who is with Nicky at his restaurant. Sam disowns Ginger, as does Nicky. A furious and drunk Ginger crashes her car into Sam's driveway, making a scene, and retrieves the key to their deposit box after distracting the attending police. Even though she succeeds in taking her share of the money from the bank, she is arrested by the FBI as a material witness.

The FBI moves in and closes the casino. Green decides to cooperate with the authorities. Piscano dies of a heart attack upon observing federal agents discover his notebook. Nicky flees Las Vegas before he can be caught. The FBI approaches Sam for help, but he turns them down. The bosses are arrested and put on trial, and decide to eliminate anyone involved in the scheme to prevent them from testifying. Among those killed are three casino executives, Teamsters head Andy Stone, and money courier John Nance. Ginger travels to Los Angeles and ultimately dies of a drug overdose in a motel. Sam himself is almost killed by a car bomb, and suspects Nicky was behind it. Before Sam can take revenge, Nicky and his brother Dominick are ambushed by Frankie and their own crew, beaten and buried alive in a cornfield, the bosses having had enough of Nicky's behavior and suspecting his role in Sam's car bombing.

With the Mob now out of power, the old casinos are purchased by big corporations and demolished. The corporations build new and gaudier attractions, which Sam laments are not the same as when the Mafia was in control. Sam subsequently retires to San Diego and continues to live as a sports handicapper for the Mob, in his own words, ending up "right back where I started".

When it was over Uncle Boddy said, "Better ending then Goodfellas but still as grewsome."

Charlotte said, "Should've read the real story." She got up to change the DVD. "Ready for a drug dealer? This actually my favorite Ice T film."

Uncle Boddy said, "It's actually number 4 in his filmography." Charlotte press play and the second movie started.

The story begins in Harlem, 1986, and Nino Brown and his gang, the Cash Money Brothers (CMB), become the dominant drug ring in New York City once crack cocaine is introduced to the streets. His gang consists of his best friend, Gee Money; enforcer Duh Duh Duh Man; gun moll Keisha; Nino's girlfriend, Selina, and her tech-savvy cousin, Kareem. Nino converts the Carter, an apartment complex, into a crack house. Gee Money and Keisha kill rival Fat Smitty, the CMB throws out the tenants, and Nino forces the landlord out onto the streets naked. Meanwhile, Undercover detective Scotty Appleton attempts to make a deal with stick-up kid Pookie, but Pookie runs off with the money. Scotty chases Pookie and shoots him in the leg, but the police let him go. Nino's gang successfully run the streets of Harlem over the next three years.

When Det. Stone comes under pressure, Scotty volunteers to infiltrate Nino's gang and is partnered with loose-cannon Nick Peretti. Elsewhere, mobster Frankie Needles attempts to collect taxes from Nino, who refuses to pay. While Scotty and Nick spy on Nino and his gang as they hand out Thanksgiving turkeys to the poor, Scotty spots Pookie, now a crack addict, as Pookie beats his junkie girlfriend. Instead of arresting him, Scotty puts Pookie in rehab, and, later, Pookie offers to help bring down Nino. Against his better judgment and the disapproval of Stone and Peretti, Scotty recruits Pookie as an informant in the Carter.

When Pookie relapses, Gee Money realizes that he is wired, and he orders the Carter destroyed. The cops find Pookie's bloody corpse, but it is booby-trapped; Nick defuses the explosives mere seconds before it explodes. Angry, Nino warns Gee Money not to make such a costly mistake again. After Pookie's funeral and no longer needed by Stone, Scotty and Nick go undercover as drug dealers. After bribing Frankie Needles, Scotty infiltrates the CMB due in part to Gee Money's increasing ambition and drug use. Though Nino distrusts them, he agrees to do business. After relating an anecdote about his own violent initiation into a gang, Nino warns that he will kill both Scotty and Gee Money if there are any problems.

Scotty gains Nino's trust when he reveals information about Gee Money's side deal and saves Nino from a gun-toting old man who had earlier attempted to convince the police of Nino's destructiveness. While Nino, Scotty, and the CMB attend a wedding, Nick sneaks into Nino's mansion to collect evidence, and Don Armeteo sends hitmen to assassinate Nino; a massive shootout erupts between the CMB and hitmen. When Nino uses a child as a shield, Scotty attempts to shoot Nino behind his back. Keisha is gunned down as she sprays bullets into the hitmen's van as they escape. Later, Selina condemns Nino for his murderous activities, and Nino throws her out. Nino later kills Don Armeteo and his crew from a speeding motorcycle in retaliation for the wedding shootout.

Stone, Scotty, and Nick arrange a sting operation to nab Nino. Kareem, who knows that Scotty and Pookie are connected, blows Scotty's cover, and a shootout ensues. Nick saves Scotty by killing the Duh Duh Duh Man, and Nino escapes. That night, Nino confronts Gee Money, who accuses Nino of egotism, and Nino regretfully kills him. After the gang's collapse, Nino holes up in an apartment and continues his criminal empire solo. Scotty and Nick assault the complex, and Scotty brutally beats Nino, revealing that it was his mother that Nino killed in his gang initiation. Nick talks Scotty out of killing Nino, who is taken into custody amid threats of retaliation.

At his trial, Nino pleads guilty to a lesser charge, claims to have been forced to help the gang due to threats, and identifies Kareem as the leader. When Nino is sentenced to only one year in jail, Scotty is outraged. As Nino speaks with reporters outside of the courtroom, the old man again confronts Nino and shoots him in the chest. Scotty and Nick are both satisfied as Nino falls over the balcony to his death. As onlookers look down at Nino's body, an epilogue states to the viewers that decisive action must be taken to stop real-life Nino Brown analogues.

Uncle Boddy stopped the movie and looked over at Charlotte who was asleep. After 278 minutes of both movies, it was no surprise that she was sleep. He walked up, fixed the chair to it can recline so it can be flat as a bed and put a blanket over her. "Are you really him? Are you really Beowulf?" he muttered to himself. He left the room and went to his home which was identical to the one in the Casper 1995 movie. He walked up to the second floor near the outside library, sat on a chair and pulled on a tassel on a lamp. To put it long story short, and because I can't describe it much, imagine the scene from the Casper movie where Kathy was taken to Casper's dad secret lab just minus the preppy stuff to the lab (Trust me I tried to describe it and there was no transcript to describe the transaction).

Once there, and at the desk, he got up, walked up to a pull down screen, and pulled down the string to reveal the Boddy family tree. He then got out 5 white boards, 4 cases of black and red markers, rolled up his sleeves and began to work. You see there's a secret to Uncle Boddy. If you ever watched 'The Accountant' where Christian Wolff is diagnosed with a high-functioning form of autism, that's Uncle Boddy. He does have autism which he keeps under control, but instead of him being an accountant, he's a detective and he uses his gift to solve problems. The only problem he has yet to solve is his family tree and how similar Charlotte and Renee are to certain people. Uncle Boddy can tell that Charlotte might have autism given on how determine she is to solve a case including the connections he was just working one and how easily she can solve puzzles while most would follow the directions and look back at them 4 or 5 times over. And whenever he is stuck, he would go to the punching bag and punch it to help him think. "Where are you dad?" he asked himself as he punched. "Why me? Why give me Dark Parables?" Soon he was out of breath. "You certainly picked a perfect time to run-away with your bride brother."

He went to his desk and pulled out another desk that was under the original and turned it on. While the first desk was old fashion, the new one was the fancy electronic ones. He then turned on the A.I. The A.I's name was S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K. Short for Security Home in Edinburgh Refuge for Legend Overlook Cases Kind and its picture was just a simple drawn face for happy, sad, confused, meh, and such. S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K said, "Welcome back Mr. Boddy. I suspect movie night was well received?"

Uncle Boddy said, "Charlotte fell asleep during New Jack City. Though to be honest he needs it after all the research she did today."

S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K asked, "And you're not asleep because?"

Uncle Boddy said, "Elementary S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K. My autism is on it again."

S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K asked, "Family tree?"

Uncle Boddy said, "That and gathering information. Any news on my brother and his wife?"

S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K said, "Nothing at the moment. So far, the rest of Europe is an agreement in case of fairytale cases for Charlotte but Asia, and North America said no."

Uncle Boddy said, "That's because Bush is busy making the middle finger before giving it to Obama. Let's not give Obama the same offer. He has enough troubles on his plate."

S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K asked, "And South America?"

Uncle Boddy said, "Until that mess is settled, we do nothing. Africa?"

S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K said, "That's a jumpstart that has yet to resolve. They're on year 10 on the debate."

Uncle Boddy said, "Should've started sooner. Alright. Start the loud music and the flashing lights. I gotta get to work also set the timer for my meds and for the chair if I'm asleep in it." S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K did that and Uncle Boddy worked the rest of the night until day time.

When morning came, Uncle Boddy was asleep in his chair. Then the timer went off the chair went backwards all the way back to the house above. Once in place, a chair appeared under him and took him to the kitchen. Once at the table, the ringer went off and breakfast was ready, 3 eggs, 3 bacon, and 3 sausage. Uncle Boddy woke up and said, "Thanks S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K!"

A voice echo through the house. "You're welcome. Nothing on the security cameras that were out of order and Charlotte is still asleep at Dark Parables."

Uncle Boddy said, "Good. Transfer her here please. Give her the regular breakfast please. Also transfer Dr. Watson too. Easy on the landing this time."

S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K said, "As you wish sir."

At the theater room at DP, Charlotte was still asleep. The chair sunk into the floor and placed Charlotte in a transportation tube and the tube left DP to Uncle Boddy's house. Meanwhile, at Charlotte's house, Dr. Watson was in his dog house when his collar beeped. He recognized the beep and got ready for something. The floor under him opened and he jumped into the transportation tub as well and went to the Boddy House. Dr. Watson arrived at the kitchen were treats were ready for him, and Charlotte arrived at the kitchen table still asleep. Well not for long when she heard the beeping. She opened her eyes and saw her breakfast plate, the Rodeo Pate: potatoes, eggs, bacon, sausage, mask beans, and Texas toast. Charlotte fell in love with it when she visited San Antonio once. Uncle Boddy started to eat. "Morning kid."

Charlotte rubbed her eyes. "Morning uncle. For future reference, let me know ahead of time when you take me here. I haven't even showered yet."

Uncle Boddy said, "S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K send you an e-mail."

Charlotte started to eat and said, "But I wasn't on my laptop all day yesterday Mr. James Bond. I swear the only time you're relaxed and flexibly is when you try and drink."

Uncle Boddy chuckled. "Want me ask S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K to transfer your clothes to the bathroom?"

Charlotte said, "Yes AND this time I'm gonna walk. It was weird enough when the chair did that for me. I swear you fixed this whole house and city up in case you're in a wheelchair."

Uncle Boddy said, "Hey if you want I can trick up your old house for you."

Charlotte said, "I like the offer but I'm scared once you start you won't stop."

Uncle Boddy said, "I only stop when my autism tells me I'm done. I finished this house with no problem."

Charlotte said, "Dude, my house is almost a dead ringer for the Winchester house, you'll be going through an autism nightmare if you tried." She looked at Dr. Watson. "Least he had a better right. Thanks S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K."

S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K said, "My pleasure Miss Charlotte. Should I transfer Rebecca here when she arrives?"

Charlotte said, "No just the car so I can pick her up." She finished up her food. "And before I take my shower, any more family secrets I should know about?"

Uncle Boddy looked at her. He already trained his mind for the answer. "Spoilers." Which made Charlotte groaned and that made him chuckled.

Charlotte got up and walked up to the bathroom. "No spying S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K!"

S.H.E.R.L.O.C.K said, "As you wish Miss Charlotte."

Uncle Boddy smiled and shook his head. "You picked some family to stay with Dr. Watson." The wolf finished with his food and looked up at Uncle Boddy. "Why not stay for a while? I got a dog collar I've been working on so you can talk to us." Dr. Watson barked happily with the idea. Then Uncle Boddy opened a file with a stamped VW in red letters. "Enjoy your adventures Renee in years' time, you'll have to clean your mother's mess. Hope you can't take on the Red Queen."

I'm so sorry this is short. It was supposed to be over 13,000 words since that is what I use in nearly all my stories but I have nothing else to connect but I hope you like it none the less including the twist and turns on what 'connection' means. So anyway next I'm working on my Toy Story chapter for my SDP story and hopefully that won't take long since I need to do something original while keeping within the word count that I use.
