After McGonagall scolded them, Greyson just didn't have it in him to figure out how on Earth Harry and Hermione could have gotten caught so easily. He also wasn't about to upset McGonagall anymore than they already had by gossiping in the halls. Once they thought they were safe, though… he would strike. They better have a bloody good reason for straying from the plan and getting them all detention.

When the door to their bedroom shut behind them, Draco immediately swiveled in place and crossed his arms. Greyson started to strip down to his boxers in an attempt to get somewhat comfortable for this talk that he just knew would be exhausting with Draco already glaring and staring down his sharp nose. He supposed that was pretty fair. Detention would make most people angry. "What would you like to know?" Greyson asked, stopping with shirt in hand when he realized Draco wasn't moving.

"Tell me why I covered for you." Draco demanded, his scowl firmly stuck in place.

"That… is a long story. I'll tell you everything, I promise. Later," Greyson made the effort to meet his eyes and hold them to hopefully make his sincerity obvious. Tossing the shirt into the corner of the room, quickly followed by his shoes, he kept his eyes on Draco's and just prayed he understood. "In the morning, Draco. We've already got detention. The last thing I want for the both of us is another punishment if McGonagall comes to check that we're asleep. We'll get breakfast and I'll let you in on everything that's happening. And with that, goodni-ight." A yawn interrupted him as he crawled under the blankets, continuing to keep eye contact with his roommate.

After another long minute of being analyzed by those chilly blue eyes, he received a trusting but cautious nod. The message was clear. Draco was trusting him to keep his word, and Greyson wouldn't let him down. Not after he stood by them all in McGonagall's office and got a punishment right alongside them. If he was willing to go that far just because Greyson asked him to, then he'd earned an explanation and more. Tomorrow would be a long day.

Of course, Greyson's sleep hadn't come easily last night. Instead of consciousness deserting him immediately as his exhausted body demanded, he had laid there for what felt like hours going over the events of the night over and over again. Especially his discussion with McGonagall... and her disappointment... He had to figure out a way to apologize for the mess she had to deal with.

Eventually fatigue won out and he managed to get a few hours until he heard Draco moving around in their room and muttering about the early hour as usual.

He sat up and rubbed at his dry and still tired eyes before pulling himself out of bed slowly to face the day. Digging around for some clean jeans and a shirt, Draco's eyes caught his from across the room. His roommate was already done getting ready and waiting impatiently with his arms crossed right in front of the door. Sighing, Greyson shoved his feet into his shoes and they headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast. Thankfully, Draco seemed to sense his fatigue was more pronounced than usual this morning and wasn't pushing… yet. His cold and determined expression promised a shouting match if an explanation wasn't in the near future, though.

Greyson figured he could save Harry and Hermione's lecture about last night for after breakfast. The time would be better spent filling in his one friend that had been more patient than usual at his request after taking a punishment backing him up. If anything had been proven last night, it was that Draco could be trusted with certain things. He didn't need everyone knowing about what happened last, but he decided that he'd return that trust shown to him last night and fill him in on everything.

"How did we lose a hundred points overnight?!" he heard a befuddled Gryffindor yell towards the front of the hall.

"I could have sworn we had 687 yesterday," a Gryffindor girl asked.

"Granger and Potter were out sneaking around," another one said. "I saw them coming into the common rooms."

"You don't think..." the first girl said eyeing the two of them. "Oh, they would make such an adorable couple."

Greyson sat down by Harry and grabbed a scone. "Well, you two are popular," he said munching on it.

"Don't remind me," Harry groaned.

"I'll wait till after breakfast," Greyson told him, noting the lack of red hair. Ron must still be sick. Norbert must have really done a number on him. Good thing they got the dragon gone before an even worse event happened with Norbert.

"Well, Potter, are you going to tell me why I got detention for you?" he asked. Greyson heard the gossip mongers go quiet at hearing this bit of information immediately.

"Why is he here?" Harry asked bitterly.

"After breakfast, Draco," Greyson said. "And he's here because he's my friend and is just as involved in this now." Despite him wanting to let Draco know all about Norbert and how they were safely relocating Norbert to Romania, anything they had to talk about could wait until after food and away from unwanted listeners. Once everyone seemed to be done, Greyson unceremoniously grabbed Harry by the arm and out of the Great Hall with Draco and Hermione following. Once they got away from the areas that most of the students congregated Greyson gave both Harry and Hermione a look.

"What the bloody hell happened last night?" Greyson yelled. "We took care of Filch. We weren't going to get in trouble. We were in the clear!"

"McGonagall took away fifty points!" Harry protested.

"Then why didn't you have an excuse prepared?" Greyson asked. "Harry, I can't take your punishments anymore. If you're going to break the rules, then you have to be prepared to get out of it."

"What do you mean take my punishments?" Harry asked, his brows furrowed in confusion.

"Nothing," Greyson said, dismissing the thought with a wave of his hand.

"No, that's not nothing," Harry argued. "What do you mean taking my punishments? I never had you take my punishments."

"Harry..." Hermione said gently. "Greyson has always taken the brunt of anything for you. Like that first day in Snape's class."

"What?" Harry asked, confused.

"You really are oblivious aren't you," Draco drawled. "All he does is worry and fret over you."

"What about at home?" Harry demanded.

"I just took the attention away from you," Greyson admitted. "I always mentioned magic and what-not to get Uncle Vernon's attention on me and made him madder."

Harry just stood there wide eyed. "You what?"

"I swear Harry," Hermione said, exasperatedly. "How have you made it this far and not realized everything your brother does for you?"

"It's fine, Hermione," Greyson said, smoothing things over. "Harry, you need to start being ready for these situations if we're going to keep doing things like this."

"He's right," Draco chimed in. "You Gryffindors are hopeless when it comes to keeping out of trouble."

"You have detention with us," Harry snapped.

"Only because you and Granger couldn't answer McGonagall," Draco retorted.

"Enough, all of you," Greyson snapped. All of their arguing was giving him a headache. Did they know how to not bicker? "All of this arguing is not going to fix the fact that we all have detention. But you and Hermione both need to make sure you have back up plans ready in case something happens, no matter what. Otherwise, we can look to detention continuously in our future."

"Then tell me, why I got detention for you," Draco demanded.

"Don't tell him, he's... he's Malfoy," Harry protested.

"Draco didn't rat us out to McGonagall. He's earned the right to know." Greyson let out a sigh. "Hagrid had gotten a hold of a dragon egg and it was a Norwegian Ridgeback. He grew too large and we had to get him somewhere safe."

"I knew it had to do with a dragon," Draco huffed proudly. Greyson rolled his eyes at Draco's behavior. He could be a little over the top at times.

"Which reminds me, what on earth happened to the cloak, Harry?" Greyson asked, giving a pointed stare at his brother.

"We... forgot it..." Harry admitted. Greyson facepalmed.

"For crying out loud," Greyson said before sighing. "Alright, just go back up to the tower and get it. What's done is done." Harry nodded, still not happy about Draco knowing things. Oh well, his brother would learn to get over it.
