It's the Same Wherever You Go

Chapter Thirty-Three

Werewolf Fire Fight

Screams of Stiles' name echoes over the lacrosse playing field, until the voice doing the screaming begins to crack and fail the user. Falling to her knees, Jaydra Winchester doesn't try to stop the tears flowing down her face. Though her voice begins to fail her, she continues to scream for her adoptive brother until her voice just breaks completely.

A heavy hands falls upon Jaydra's shoulder, which brings much needed relief to the young girl's vocal cords. Her green eyes look onto the hand, following the arm up until she comes eye to eye with Sheriff John Stilinski. "Come on, Jay," he breathes in a whisper, hoisting her up to her feet.

Letting John lead her, Jaydra watches with blank eyes as she's lead to the locker room, letting the whole cast regroup, planning a way to find Stiles.

"I, uh," John begins after setting Jaydra down on the bench. "I got to meet with the medical examiner and try to figure out what happened with Jackson . . ." John's voice trails off as his throat tightens up as he relays the following message, "I've got an APB out on Stiles . . . His jeep is still in the parking lot, so that means . . ." His hands reach up and rubs at his eyes. "Ah, hell, I don't know what that means . . . Um, if he answers his phone, or his emails, or if any of you see-"

Isaac holds his hand up to the sheriff and gives him a soft smile. "We'll call you."

Trying to ease the tension of the situation, Scott smiles at the sheriff. "Look, he's probably just freaked out from all the attention or something. We'll find him."

Hearing the positive reinforcement from his son's friends, John takes his leave from the locker room. But before the real conversation is had about what to do about locating Stiles, a new voice enters.

"McCall!" It was Coach Finstock. But instead of ripping into the star athlete like he normally does, Finstock's voice was softer, almost pleading. "We need you on the team, okay? You know I can't put you on the field next season if you don't get your grades up."

"Yeah, I know, coach."

"I . . . I know I yell a lot, but it's not like I hate you guys," he says, before trailing on about hating Greenberg. Shaking his head, he gets back on track. "I'm just saying, we need you on the team. Get your grades back up." After saying his piece, Finstock turns and leaves the locker room.

Glancing around the empty locker room, Scott looks to Isaac. "Is that everyone? Are we the only ones here?"

"I think so . . ." Isaac said, his voice trailing off as he looks over at the female hunter. "Jay? You okay?"

Not getting an answer, the youngest beta moves in front of his friend, only to feel a twinge of fear slip down his spine at the look in her eyes. Her normally bright, green, eyes were dull. Dead. Isaac didn't like the look, it was almost like Jaydra had given up on everything.

"Jay!" he snaps at the girl, making her flinch at the sudden yell. Those dull eyes look over to him. "Please . . . snap out of it . . ."

Moving beside his fellow beta, Scott kneels in front of Jaydra, hiding the shiver that runs down his spine at her dull eyes. "Hey, we're going to find him, Jay. But you won't be able to help us do that if you don't snap out of this."

"Out of what?"

Scott's brown eyes widen at the voice that came from his friend. Due to the screaming earlier, it was raspy and rough.

"I'm not 'in' anything, Scott," Jaydra says. "I'm just having a real shitty year. First I lost Sam, who Dean brought back with a deal, and then I lost Dean . . ." The youngest Winchester closes her eyes as her voice cracks at Dean's name, before taking a long breath and finishing her thought. "And now I lost Stiles . . ."

"We're going to find him," Isaac reassures. "I mean, he'll have two werewolves looking for him and an awesome hunter!"

Jaydra snorts a small laugh as she looks at Isaac. Her eyes were still a dull green, but not as dark. A small twinge of hope shining back through.

"Sorry to interrupt the lovely moment," says a new, yet painfully familiar, voice.

The three teenagers jump up and look to the door, only to see two figures. Derek and Peter Hale.

"What the hell is this?" Scott demands, looking at Peter Hale, who looks remarkably well for a supposed dead man.

Derek lets out a small chuckle, yet the amusement never reaches his greenish-brown eyes. "Funny, Scott. I thought the same thing when I saw you talking to Gerard at the sheriff's station."

"WAIT, WHAT?!" Jaydra snaps, turning to look at Scott, silently demanding an explanation.

"He . . . He threatened to kill my mom! And I needed to get close to him, so what was I supposed to do?!"

Peter, who takes a step up from behind Derek, holds up his hand, and points at Scott. "I'm gonna go with Scott on this one, I mean, have you seen his mom? Gorgeous!"

"Shut up," Derek and Scott growl out.

Leaning over to Jaydra, Isaac asks a very important question. "Um . . . who is that?"

"That's Peter, Derek's uncle. He's the Alpha that tried to kill all of us, so we set him on fire and Derek slashed his throat."

"Good to know . . ."

"How are you even alive?!" Scott demands, bringing the conversation back to how Peter Hale was even standing in front of them to begin with.

"Doesn't matter," Derek says, making sure to stand between the younger pack members and his uncle. "He knows how to stop Jackson, and maybe save him."

"Oh!" Jaydra fake gasps out, making the room look at her. "That would be amazing information! Except the fact that Jackson's dead."

"What?"

"Yeah, Jackson's dead." Scott runs a hand through his hair as he quickly recaps what happened during the last lacrosse game.

Peter sighs and begins pacing behind Derek, thinking aloud, "But it only happened because Gerard wanted it too."

"But why?" his nephew asks.

"That's what we need to figure out . . . And something tells me the window of opportunity is closing . . ." Looking over at the lacrosse players, Peter heads towards the door. "We need to get to our house," he says to Derek. "I may have something there that can help us."

ITSWYG

The drive to the burned remains of the Hale House was a quick, and silent, one.

But as everyone walks into the house, Jaydra and Scott's phone buzz with a quick message from John Stilinski.

[We found Stiles. He's safe now. Some kids from the other team roughed him up, but he's safe.]

All the tension in Jaydra's body leaves as she reads the message multiple times. Even though the relief of hearing Stiles was okay was coursing through her, the rage she felt at the real perpetrator was still very much alive.

"I already told you, I looked everywhere!"

Derek's annoyed voice echoes out as he follows Peter around the staircase in the foyer of the house.

~Right . . .~ Jaydra's mind reminds her. ~Stiles is safe now, but we still have to deal with Gerard and Jackson. Focus . . .~

Peter reaches under a specific step on the staircase and pulls out, what looks like, and old book. Blowing the dust off the top of it, the older werewolf smirks at his nephew. "You didn't look here~"

"What is that?" Derek asks, looking over the dusty item in Peter's hands. "A book?"

"No . . . It's a laptop. What century are you living in?"

Jaydra snorts a laugh at the sarcasm. True, technology made researching creatures and monsters a whole lot easier for hunters, but you just can't beat reading an old book.

"A few days after I got out of the coma, I transferred everything that we had on here. Fortunately, the Argents aren't the only ones that keep records."

As the laptop starts up, Scott's cell phone rings, gaining everyone's attention. Glancing at the name, he quickly answers. "Mom, I can't talk right now . . ." But the news he receives wasn't good. "What's wrong?" Chocolate brown eyes widen as he looks up at Jaydra with urgency. "We have to get to the hospital. Something's happening with Jackson."

ITSWYG

Isaac, Scott, and Jaydra rush over to the hospital, wondering what more problems a dead Jackson can give them. But, apparently, it's a lot. Inside the body bag, Jackson's body was laying on a gurney, but the most interesting thing was Jackson's body from the neck down was encased in a cocoon of clear, slimy, liquid. To be exact, it was the venom that his body produced. And the source of origin seems to be from his claws, which were positioned on his chest, his hands resting there.

"What the . . .?" the female hunter utters, never seeing this phenomena before in her life.

Looking at his mother, Scott asks the question on everyone's mind, "What's happening too him?"

"I thought you were going to tell me . . ." the hospital worker says, her eyes shifting from Jackson to her son. "Is it bad?"

"It doesn't look good . . ." Isaac mutters, looking over Jackson's body.

Isaac jumps back away from the gurney as Jackson's head twitches suddenly. The air in the room quickly drops down a few degrees as realization sits in. Jackson's isn't dead. The Kanima isn't dead.

"Um . . . Mom? Could you zip it up, please?"

Jaydra twists her head to look at Scott, aghast at the question he asks. "Are you werewolves or mice?" she demands, stepping up to the body bag with Melissa to help her close the bag.

"Here we go . . ."

Melissa grabs the zipper and begins to pull it up along Jackson's body. Jaydra stands there and holds the sides of the zipper up so that it glides easily along the course. But, of course, like any of the luck they have, it runs out. The zipper snags on something just below Jackson's chin. Melissa tugs on the zipper again, only to jump back when Jackson's mouth snaps open and lets out a low, growling, hiss.

"Mom . . . zip . . ."

Jaydra reaches down to the bag that was laying by Jackson's ears, who had gone still once again, and pulls them up to help Melissa get the zipper back on track. Jackson's mouth stays open and lets out another hiss, as his head twists again. But before any major damage is done, the woman duo gets the bag zipped up, and Jackson secured, for now.

Once he was secured, Jaydra whips out her phone and calls Derek, but once the Alpha answers, Jaydra doesn't give him a chance to greet her.

"He's encased in some transparent casing made from the venom in his claws."

Derek relays the message to Peter, who Jaydra assumes is looking up information on the laptop he found earlier.

Another twitch from the body makes the four of them look over Jackson warily.

"And he's really starting to move, Derek . . ."

"We're looking for the answer, Jay . . ." the alpha's voice says calmly, before listening to Peter explain something on the other end of the phone. Jaydra can't make it out, only to feel a cold sweat going down her back at Derek's next statement. "It can turn into something bigger?! That? That has wings!"

"You're not helping!" the blonde hisses through clench teeth, as she vigorously tries to ignore her imagination of Jackson's body with wings.

"Jay, you need to bring him to us. He's only in his beta shape-" Derek's voice cuts off as she hears a loud screeching sound over the phone. What was Peter looking at? "Jaydra, get him out of there, NOW!"

Hanging up the phone, Jaydra instructs Isaac and Scott to pick up Jackson's body bag and carry him out of the hospital. Surprisingly, no real argument from Scott's mom, the hospital nurse.

Walking out of the morgue's door, Jaydra serves as a look out as the beta's carry the body towards the car. Making sure the coast was clear, the trio makes it to Jaydra's Nissan Skyline, about to put Jackson in the trunk, because Jaydra was NOT about to deal with a transforming kanima in the back seat of her car. But as they pop the trunk, Jaydra notices a familiar SUV pull up behind her car. Chris Argent.

Moving in front of Isaac and Scott, Jaydra makes a humming noise as Chris steps out, holding his hands up slightly in silent surrender.

"You're alone," she says, raising an eyebrow. It wasn't a question.

Chris looks up at Jaydra, his normal blue eyes that held determination and fighting spirit, look lonely. "More than you know . . ."

"What do you want?" Scott demands, standing at his full height, after dropping Jackson onto the ground.

"We don't have much in common, Scott, but at the moment, we have a common enemy."

"That's why I'm trying to get him out of here . . ."

Chris sighs softly, letting a hand rub at his face, before rubbing across his eyes. Jaydra quickly puts two and two together.

"You mean Gerard . . ."

"He's . . . He's twisted his way into Allison's head, the same way he did with Kate . . ." Chris trails off after mentioning his sister. Taking in a shaking breath, he looks back at the trio. "I'm losing her . . . And I know you're losing her too . . ."

Nodding his head, Scott shows a small side of his pleading side to the Argent. "So you can trust me to fix this. You can let us go."

"No." Chris let's a small grin grace his face as he points to his SUV. "My car's faster."

"You guys take the SUV, with Jackson and the rest of you, it'll be too crowded. I'll follow in my car," Jaydra states, before opening the trunk of her car, unlocks the padlock, and reveals the false bottom of the Skyline, which housed 'in case of emergency' weapons.

Expecting a fire fight to come in the near future, Jaydra pulls out a holster and puts a hand held gun on her hip, making sure to attach a few extra clips of ammunition to her body. Grabbing Ira from it's resting spot in her trunk, she slides the holster across her shoulders, letting the weapon set on her back.

The holster criss-crosses across her back, with Ira being held by straps and a sheath. The sheath covers the entire blade of the kusarigama, and a small strap wraps around the hilt of the blade. The strap was located at Jaydra's lower back, towards the right side. This allows the hunter to reach back, unstrap the weapon, and unsheathe it in a fluid motion.

True, a kusarigama is an untraditional weapon for hunters, but when is Jaydra traditional? The weapon was perfect for any type of hunt, since Bobby helped her reforge the blade and chain to contain iron, or any other add-ons to help fight monsters. Jaydra particularly liked the weapon for the simple face, it allows her to fight both up close, or at a distance, thanks to the length of chain.

The gun and her kusarigama were the weapon's Jaydra thought she'd need the most for the night, so she relocks the weapon container, and slams her trunk close. It was time for a fire fight.

ITSWYG

Following Chris Argent to the train station yard was a simple task, but with each mile they gained towards their destination, Jaydra couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that was seeping into her stomach.

Putting her car into park, Jaydra exits her vehicle and walks up to the black SUV that has parked in front of hers.

Exiting the car, Isaac sends a nervous look to the body bag he was sitting beside. "I think he stopped moving . . ." the curly haired beta says.

Climbing out of the driver seat, and slamming the door behind him, Chris walks over to Jaydra, asking, "Where's Derek?"

Before she could answer, Chris' eyes focus on a figure running on all fours towards the group. It was Derek, and he was showing off his Alpha status.

Unimpressed, the main Argent looks at the alpha. "I'm here for Jackson, not you."

Clicking his teeth, Derek straightens up to his full height and takes a threatening step towards Chris. "Somehow, I don't find that very comforting."

"Derek," Jaydra interrupts, trying to convey that this wasn't the time or the place.

Red eyes shift over to Jaydra's green, before he backs down on the quickly rising challenge. "Get him inside."

Chris walks back into his car and drives the black SUV into the building. After putting it into park, the teenagers pull the body bag out of the car and lay Jackson on the concrete floor.

"Where are they?" Scott asks suddenly, making the group look up at Derek.

"Who?"

"Peter and Lydia . . ." Scott watches as Derek turns his attention to Jackson, and moves to stand over the body bag, and slowly begins to unzip it. "Whoa, hold on a second! You said you knew how to save him!"

"We're past that," Derek says gruffly, looking down at Jackson.

Stepping to the side, Jaydra looks over the body in the bag. It was becoming more kanima like, and less Jackson-like. From the neck down, the venom sack of goo was still there, but slowly dissolving away from Jackson's body.

"What about-"

"Think about it, Scott!" Derek cuts the young beta off, looking up at him. "Gerard controls him now . . . He's turned Jackson into his own personal guard dog. And he set all of this in motion so that Jackson could get even bigger and more powerful!"

"No . . ."

Jaydra turns to look at the voice that spoke up, Chris Argent. His voice felt hollow, disbelieving.

"No, he wouldn't do that," he continues on. "If Jackson's a dog, he's turning rabid, and my father wouldn't let a rabid dog live."

"Of course not!"

The sound of Gerard's voice sends a cold shiver down everyone's spine. Turning to look at the archway behind the group, they all watch as the older Argent strolls into the room.

"Anything that dangerous, out of control . . ." Gerard trails off, before a wild grin crosses his face. "Is better off dead."

Not wasting another second, Derek rears his claws back to pierce into Jackson, only for the kanima to react. The kanima's eyes snap open before sinking it's claws into Derek's abdomen, the force of the attack sends the alpha werewolf flying backwards.

"Derek!" Jaydra cries out, about to run to his side, only to still when she sees the kanima move in her peripheral vision.

"Well done to the last, Scott!" Gerard praises, making the group slowly turn to look at the beta. "Like the concerned friend you are, you brought Jackson to Derek to save him! You just didn't realize that you were also bringing Derek to me."

Scott suddenly drops to the ground, a noise alerting him to a new threat. But Isaac wasn't so quick to react. The arrows that zip past Scott land into Isaac's shoulders, making the young werewolf fall to the ground.

"Allison . . .?" Scott looks around for the girl he loves, utter confusion on his face, but doesn't see her anywhere. She must been on a vantage point, overlooking the ground floor.

"Ignore her and get him out of here!" Jaydra yells, snapping Scott back into reality.

As Scott and Isaac run past Chris and Jaydra, the two unholster their guns and aim them at Jackson. The bullets may not hurt him, but hopefully they'll slow him down. Chris takes the first shot, making Jackson turn away from the fire, letting out a screech of pain. The kanima takes off behind the SUV, where Jaydra tries to fire into one of its legs to hinder it's escape.

Following the Kanima's trail, Chris shoots out the windows of the SUV, which allows the two hunters to look on the other side of the car, to get a glimpse of the kanima.

But never one to disappoint its opponents, the Kanima, fully transformed into it's scaly self, jumps on top of the car, letting out a roar towards the hunters. Jaydra tries to fire off another set of bullets towards Jackson, only to feel the stinging pain of the gun being ripped from her hand from the kanima's tail.

Backing away, Jaydra notices that Jackson has whacked Chris Argent's gun away as well, leaving the hunters with no guns. Taking appropriate action, Jaydra pulls on the sleeve of Chris' jacket, and the two retreat back, heading to where Scott and Isaac took off.

Chris stops first, turning to face the kanima that was sprinting after them on all fours. Reaching to his thigh, Chris unsheathes a knife, but it proves useless. The kanima merely rushes forward and throws Chris argent into a pile of pallets, before turning it's gaze on a new victim. The slit eyes that used to be Jackson's zero in on Jaydra's retreating form, and was about to take off after her, before halting at a new challenger approaching. Derek, werewolfed out, jumped over a stacked pile of pallets, snarling at the kanima.

Jaydra finally reaches her destination, just behind Isaac and Scott, who were fully transformed, just like their alpha.

Fuzzy sideburns go down the sides of their faces, while their ears come to sharp points. Their brows and nose turn more wolf-like, as their eyes glow a vibrant golden brown.

All three werewolves rush at the kanima, and the fight moves at a quick speed, Jaydra can only stand on guard, and watches as the pack tries to take out Jackson quickly.

But luck was still not on their side. As Derek rushes in to attack the kanima after Scott tries to attack, the kanima swings around, using it's razor sharp tail to slice at Derek's abdomen, allowing venom to sink into the wound.

Seeing his alpha harmed, Isaac stands to take his chance against the kanima, only to be stopped by Allison Argent. Pulling out two knife, she slices at Isaac, taking the inexperienced beta down quickly. But before Isaac falls to his knees, Allison plunges the knives into Isaac's back. The sight makes one of the pack members snap.

"THAT'S FUCKING IT!"

Heads whip around to see Jaydra standing in the open, in front of Allison, brandishing her kusarigama free from its harness. "You want to fucking fight, Argent, then let me give you one."

Racing forward Jaydra begins to spin her weapon, before releasing Ira with her right, and controlling the chain with her left, making it zip towards Allison at a hefty clip.

Allison's eyes widen as she jumps back away from the weapon. Though she was fighting with knives tonight, her lack of training with the blades was evident. With more than five years with hunting training, Jaydra had a one up on Allison.

Keeping the young Argent's attention with the kusarigama was part of the Winchester strategy. With each swing of the weapon, Jaydra shortened the chain distance between her and Allison, little by little.

By the time Allison notices the change in distance it was too late. Wrapping the chain around her left arm, Jaydra holds Ira's hilt and makes a slashing move against Allison's chest. And if it weren't for the bullet proof vest she was wearing, protection against werewolves no doubt, Allison would be nursing a large gash of a wound.

Allison stood there for a moment of hesitation, stunned at how quickly Jaydra made the swing to potentially kill her, but that brief moment was all Jaydra needs. Switching hands quickly, Jaydra swings her right fist and collides with Allison's face, knocking her to the ground.

Sadly, Jaydra wasn't able to enjoy her moment of victory, before she felt a heavy tail collide with her side and sending her flying into the pallets near Derek, paralysis already starting to spread through her side. Gerard's kanima came in to protect any more damage to Allison.

The young Argent take the chance given to her by the kanima to stand and grab her knives, before stalking towards Derek and Jaydra.

"No, Allison!" Scott calls out.

But apparently the kanima wasn't there to help Allison. Instead, the creature grabs her arms and forces her knives out of her hand, before wrapping a hand around her neck, claws dangerously close to piercing her skin.

"Not yet, sweetheart," Gerard says, finally showing his face in the heat of the battle.

This was definitely not part of the plan, since Allison stared at her grandfather, utterly confused. "What are you doing?"

"He's doing what he came here to do," Scott says, watching Gerard's movements.

Looking slightly surprised at the young beta, Gerard comments, "Then you know." A slow smirk comes across his face. "It was that night outside the hospital, wasn't it? When I threatened your mother. You could smell it, couldn't you?"

The realization dawns on Isaac as he sniffs the air. "He's dying . . ."

"I am . . . Have been for a while now," Gerard admits, looking over the pack. "Unfortunately, science doesn't have a cure for cancer yet, but the supernatural does."

"YOU'RE A FUCKING HYPOCRITE!" Jaydra yells out towards Gerard.

Gerard's eyes grew wide at her accusation, before looking back at the small gasp from his granddaughter. The action makes the kanima grip Allison's throat a little bit tighter.

"You monster," Chris growls out, looking at his father.

Gerard turns to his son with a wicked smirk. "Not yet."

"You'll kill her too?!" Chris grits out through gnashed teeth as the kanima tightens its grip from Allison's struggling.

"When it comes to survival, I'd kill my own son!" Silence falls after Gerard's bold claim, before the crazy old man looks to the beta in front of him. "Scott . . ."

Needing no more information than his name being said, Scott reverts back into his human form and begins walking towards the paralyzed Derek.

"Scott! No!" Jaydra begs, struggling as much as she can, wanting to protect her pack from whatever twisted plan Gerard has.

Scott ignores his friend as he lifts Derek up into a standing position, supporting all of the alpha's weight.

"Scott . . . Don't . . ." Derek says through labored breathes. "You know that he's going to kill me after . . . He'll be an Alpha!"

Before Scott can open his mouth, Gerard interjects, "True, but I think he already knows that, don't you Scott?" Gerard lets a small laugh come from him as he watches Scott look up and lock eyes with Allison. "He knows that the ultimate prize is Allison. Do this small task for me, and you'll be together . . ."

Taking a step towards the two, Gerard begins to shrug off his over jacket. "You're the only piece that doesn't fit, Derek. You would think all those months with Jaydra would have taught you this, there's just no competing with young love!"

"Scott . . ." Derek says again, looking up at the beta. "Don't . . .!"

"I'm sorry . . . But I have too . . ." Scott forces Derek down into a kneeling position and pulls the back of Derek's head back, forcing the alpha's mouth open.

"NO!" Jaydra screams out, still struggling to move her body closer to Scott and Derek.

Gerard steps forward, rolling up the sleeve on his sweater, placing his arm in the open mouth of the Beacon Hills Alpha. As Gerard forces the bite from Derek, he lets out a pain filled cry as the elongated fangs of the werewolf dig into his flesh. But, as soon as the bite is finished, Gerard pulls his arm away from Derek's mouth.

Scott, who was supporting Derek, watches Gerard as the older man stares at the bite mark, before holding his arm up above his head, showing the group the victory he just acquired.

But something wasn't right.

Jaydra's green eyes look up at the wound, noticing thick, black ropes of blood pooling out of the bite mark. That's not normal . . . Twisting her head weakly towards Scott, Jaydra wondered what did he do?

Gerard notices the strange looks everyone gives him. "What?" Glancing down at his arm, he notices the inky like blood flowing from his bite mark. "What is this?! WHAT DID YOU DO?!"

"Everyone said Gerard always had a plan," Scott states, his chocolate brown eyes darting over to Jaydra before looking back at the oldest Argent. "I had a plan too."

"No . . ." Gerard throws his jacket that was resting on his free arm to the ground and pull out a pill container that held his medicine for the cancer. Opening the canister, he pours the capsules into his hand and crushes them. A black powder float from his hand.

The sight makes Jaydra lay on her back beside Derek and let out a witchy cackle as she slowly put Scott's plan together.

"Mountain ash!" Gerard snarls out, glaring at Scott. But slowly, he began to stumble as his body grows incredibly weak. The same black, ink-like, blood began to flow from Gerard's nose, eyes, and ears as the man falls to his knees. As he rests on his knees, Gerard's body begins to jerk and contort before vomiting large puddles of the black ooze. His body, growing weaker and weaker due to the mountain ash, fully collapses on the concrete floor.

Derek watches the scene unfold with wide eyes before turning to look at Scott. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because you might be an alpha, but you're not mine."

The sound of a man crawling turns the groups attention back on Gerard, who was trying to crawl to freedom. "KILL THEM!" he yells at the kanima, about to pass out. "KILL THEM ALL!"

The kanima turns to look at the order Gerard gave him, and Allison takes the moment and elbows the creature in the face before twisting away. But before the kanima could give chase, a large, blue, vehicle bursts through one of the doorways. The vehicle, a familiar blue jeep, swerves towards the Kanima, knocking the creature down.

From the driver seat, Jaydra heard the most wonderful voice call out, "Did I get him?" Stiles was back! But the happy moment didn't last too long as the kanima jumps onto the hood of the jeep.

Lydia, who was in the passenger seat with Stiles, climbs out of the jeep and stands in front of the monster. "Jackson?" she says in disbelief. The kanima jumps down in front of her, holding up his claws to strike. "Jackson . . ." Lydia repeats, before holding up a house key.

The yellow slit eyes of the kanima drift over to the key that Lydia held, looking at the key in strange familiarity.

Jaydra and the group watch in amazement as the kanima begins to revert back into Jackson. Reaching out, a clawed hand takes the key from Lydia, before looking back up at her face. Staggering backwards, Jackson takes multiple steps back, as if he was realizing and reliving everything he's done in the past year as the kanima. Stopping in front of Derek, Jackson holds his arms out wide, before giving the alpha a nod.

Letting out a mighty roar, Derek's eyes flash red as he rushes towards Jackson. Appearing out of nowhere, Peter runs up behind Jackson, and together, Derek stabs his claws into Jackson's abdomen, and Peter strikes his claws into Jackson's back.

Everyone could only watch in stunned silence as the two attacked Jackson. Jaydra finally stands on her feet, watching as the two werewolves retract their claws from Jackson, making the teen very weak and about to collapse.

Lydia rushes forward and helps Jackson down to his knees, cradling his body gently.

"Do you . . ." Jackson gasps out to Lydia. "Do you still . . ."

"I do," she answers quickly, not wanting him to strain himself on asking the question. "I do still love you . . ." Lydia repeats the 'I do', over and over as Jackson's body gives out and slumps over on her shoulder. Moving slowly, Lydia lowers him down onto the concrete floor as the rest of the kanima scales left on his body fade away.

Moving slowly, Jaydra takes weak and wobbly steps to Lydia. As soon as the red head stands up, she turns to her friend who pulls her into a tight hug, letting the red head cry into her shoulder.

The sound of something scratching the concrete makes Jaydra's eyes drift over Jackson's body, only for her eyes to widen at the sight of Jackson's claws scratching at the stone. Turning Lydia around to face her boyfriend, the two watch as Jackson slowly stands in front of the group and throws his head back to let out a true werewolf howl free from his throat. The kanima finally accepted himself, allowing him to turn into the werewolf he wanted to be.

As the howl dies away, Jaydra gives her friend a small push towards Jackson, smiling as the two shared an embrace once again. Turning towards the alpha of her pack, Jaydra doesn't say a word, only smiling brightly at Derek and Peter, and bowing her head in acknowledgement.

Those two saved Jackson's life. That made them, even Peter, good in her book.

ITSWYG

The sun shines brightly into the second story bedroom of the Stilinski home that houses the one and only Jaydra Logan Winchester. With the whole kanima situation finally over, Jaydra decides to start her summer vacation with a trip to Bobby Singer's home in North Dakota. Though, to normal people it seems to be a simple family get together with Bobby and her one living brother, Sam, but in reality it was anything but. This 'vacation' was a plan to find a way to bring Dean Winchester back from hell.

Sighing, Jaydra shoves another shirt into her go bag, before the sound of her window opening makes the hunter still for a fraction of a second.

Looking over to the window sill, she lets a small smile come across her face as she sees Derek stepping into the room.

"Coming to see me before I leave?" Jaydra asks, zipping up the backpack serving as her suitcase.

"Yeah," Derek says, a small smile coming across his face as he closes the gap between them in two quick strides. Reaching a hand up, he cups her face. "Seems weird I'm not going to see you for two months . . ."

"Derek, what's wrong?" Jaydra asks quickly, having noticed the smile doesn't reach Derek's eyes.

The alpha looks down at the hunter in his pack, knowing she could see through the smile he tried to put on for her going away moment. Shaking his head, he tries to let a real smile come upon him. "Nothing I can't handle right now. You go and help your brother, and I'll call if I need help. Promise."

Before Jaydra could interject her opinion on this, Derek swoops in, capturing her lips into a tender kiss. The couple's normal kisses were swift and sweet, reflecting how quickly these two normally are in their day to day life. But this kiss was new. As if Derek was trying to convey every emotion he was feeling in that kiss. And Jaydra reciprocated her emotions into that kiss as well. Slowly pulling away from the kiss, Derek reaches past Jaydra to pick up her bag and hand it to her.

"I'd walk you down, but I doubt the sheriff would like to find out you're dating me, much less find out I snuck into your window."

Snorting a soft laugh, Jaydra runs a hand through her sandy blonde hair. "How much longer do we need to hide? I'm a senior now and nineteen this October!"

Raising an eyebrow, Derek counters, "You want to tell him that you're dating the man he was pining after for murder two years ago?"

"Good point . . ."

Derek smiles down at her, a real smile this time, and ruffles her hair affectionately. "Go . . . You've got a long drive ahead of you." He takes a step back towards her window.

Jaydra turns and heads to her door, and was about to turn the handle and walk out of the room, before pausing. Everything in her brain screams at her to turn around and say what's on her mind.

"Derek . . . I-" The words die in her throat as the hunter turns around and sees that the alpha has already left her domain.

A/N:

Heeeeeeey, so I'm not dead! But my urge to write and motivation pretty much was! With my job and the whole virus stuff going around, my writing urge completely died out and I didn't want to even turn on my computer.

But! I went back and slowly re-read this story I created, and the motivation sparked back up, and I'm back baby! I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter, and I'm sorry it's been so long. I won't promise something like this won't happen again, but I'll try to warn you guys when it happens.

PSS: Since this story is wrapping up season two of Teen Wolf, The next chapter will be a sum up of the summer vacation part, so it'll be a very short chapter, and I may update it in the next few days (since it's already written out). So keep an eye out for that!

Until next chapter!
