Learning to Trust
"Harry shhhhhshhh, just relax," Oliver held him close, stroking his dark hair that was by now falling out.
"There we go, I've got you love. Its OK, shhhh," Oliver gently kissed him on the forehead.
"Why are we in the Tower?" the Seeker whispered, drinking from a multi nutrition potion Oliver had made him.
"uncle Sev thought you needed a change of scenery," Oliver whispered back, keeping his voice gentle.
"Oli, why did he not like me last year?"
"Im not sure love," Oliver leaned back resting Harry on his shoulder. Harry wondered why things were changing. He stared at the bright moon, thankful he was safe with his school. He felt his bladder contract and make itself known.
"Oli…" Wood couldn't help but notice how the illness took on the fussiness of a toddler, or he was regressing because he didn't get the love he deserved.
"OK, come on pumpkin… Shhhshhh, just relax I'll aparate us there," he held Harry with one arm and waved his wand with the other.
"here we go…" he put Harry down, looking deep into the sick childs eyes.
"I'm here, OK. I am right here, you have to relax, just focus on my voice lovie. Here I'll get you a drink," Wood put a hand out and a cup flew over. He put Harry in front of the toilet, keeping a gentle arm around him. Harry tried to let his lower tummy go, while he focused on Oliver holding him up.
"Here we go drink up," Oliver whispered, he was trying to have patience and be gentle. Harry at that moment felt warmth spread through him like never in his life. He closed his eyes, relishing in how he felt, and as he did his bladder did its job.
"Good boy," Oliver whispered, kissing him on the head. He pulled Harry's pj's off, and got his bath ready. As the bath filled they sat on the floor and cuddled. Harry felt so safe, and warm in his captain's arms. Oliver cradled him gently, rocking back and forth.
"Up we go…" Wood gently placed him in the bath. The warmth and bubbles and security Harry felt was something he never got tired of. He felt safe, he felt loved.
"There we go love, just close your eyes… Shhhhh," Harry was suddenly so tired. It felt so safe to be washed gently and wrapped in a warm towel afterwards with Oliver holding him close… So no one would hurt him.
SNEAK PEEK
Snape looked up from his tea he was having, and Minerva stopped fixing her hat when Harry walked into the office.
"Whats wrong, love?" Snape whispered gently. He always felt the need to be gentle around this fragile child.
"I want to see mummy and papa." Minerva looked at Severus, Snape stood up and gently went over to Harry.
"Sweetheart, mummy is-"
"No. I want to see their graves." Snape couldn't take it, he scooped Harry up, and held him tightly.
"OK.. OK we'll go, I promise you totsy. Before term starts in the fall." He tried to swallow the lump in his throat, putting his lips to Harry's dark hair.
