November first was the day I dreaded. I was not allowed in the meeting. All I could do was wait for him to come out while hiding in a house that was nearby. Only Mello and I knew where I was or even that I was watching.
I stared at the exits hoping he'd get out as I watched the deal with Ryuk and Soirichiro. The experience made him more frightening and my heart was in my throat. Ryuk was taller and much more spine chilling with his long fingers and actual red eyes. That wasn't even the scariest part though, the scariest part was knowing that this was the main domino into Mello's death.
I then watched as they invaded and was about to call Mello. I reached and found out that the phone was still in the hotel room I was booked in. All I could do was watch as the Task force went in the main entrance. I paced back and forth ready to go out but I then remembered his words. "Stay there no matter what happens I need to be able to find you." I then banged on the window watching in horror as the task force finished going in. I could hear the gunfire and closed my eyes knowing exactly who was getting shot. Tears welled up in my eyes behind my lids.
I eventually heard a bomb go up and opened my eyes. With teary eyes, I made a blurry image of the collapsed exits. I then got up getting ready to get my helmet so no one could tell it was me. Then as I got my mask and shoes on, I saw the whole building blow up. There were flames and lots of smoke was sent upwards like a signal fire. I opened the door and bolted towards the building. As I got close to the broken entrance, I saw the task force running out.
Two were trying to help Sorichiro get through the burning debris, One held the notebook, and the others just all ran out. None spared me a glance or asked anything because my helmet looked like theirs. I knew Mello had probably been thinking of me because as I trekked through, I saw lots of broken cameras. Soon a flame flare heated my mask to an uncomfortable level. I took it off and dumped it.
I coughed as smoke got into my lungs and eyes but I found him. I then found him. I called his name and real name but he did not stir. I checked his pulse with my two fingers. His skin was hot but he was alive. I then bit his finger which pain or pleasure, it would wake him up. He then stirred and I saw a column came and landed next to him and broke his mask. I took off the mask and helped him get out. He winced and gritted teeth as we looked around coughing and having blurry vision. After a while we got out.
I then looked at him hoping he had a cell phone. He didn't but I had a computer I could use to look up what I needed. I took him slowly but surly to the house. I opened the door and the laptop. I had already started looking at techniques like wetting the bandages. I wished I had some aloe but I didn't. I then brought him on the bed and stripped him. I admired and was in pain at the view in front of me. I looked at him and saw the pain had knocked him unconscious. I then sighed because I was going to need some help getting money and supplies.
