America had hosted a party at his house for some of the other nations so that they could relax. He had spent hours prepping for it, setting up the dance room, setting out snacks, and cleaning the house from top to bottom. So he was pleased that everyone was having a fun time. Well, that was until that he saw England scowling from the sidelines, watching the other nations dancing. Curious, America wandered over to the older nation and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Hey England, what are you doing?" America asked with a frown. "Go out and join the party."

"Oh, America." England said in surprise. Then he sighed. "No, thank you. I'm not in the mood to dance."

"Why not?" America said, raising an eyebrow.

"This dance isn't one I'm good at." England said with shrug. America looked over to the dance floor, and to his delight he saw that people were swing dancing.

"DUDE!" America said cheerfully. "That's like, totally my favorite kind of dancing!"

"Well, go and enjoy yourself." England said, motioning for America to go away. But America smirked and grabbed England's hand.

"Nope, you're coming with me. I refuse to let you sit on the side lines and watch you be a grump." America said, pulling England towards the dance floor.

"Let me go!" England snapped, trying to pull away from America.

"Look, I know you can dance it." America said with a grin. "I know I taught you how."

"But I look silly doing it!" England argued, turning pink.

America rolled his eyes, and pulled England onto the dance floor. "I'll lead. Just dance ya old fart." And with that, America swept England around and they started to dance.

"Oh bugger, it's been awhile sense I've done this." England grumbled, looking down at his feet.

"Dude, it doesn't matter if you're a good or bad dancer. Just go with it. Forget the rest of the world, and just dance." America said with a big smile.

"Alright, if you can do this, I bloody well can." England said with a chuckle.

"That's the spirt." America laughed.

A/N: America has a long history of dances. The fox trot, the Charleston, square dancing, and so much more. I know this chapter isn't up to par, but to be honest with you, this is just a filler chapter that's replacing an author note. I'll probably rewrite this topic for later. Sorry, move along. Better chapters await you.
