"Thanks for inviting me over." Australia said with a grin as he and America walked down street.
"No problem." America said with a shrug. "It's been awhile since we hung out."
"Too true, too true." Australia agreed. "You haven't visited me since that possum scared you."
"It did not scare me, it just surprised me." America said defensively.
"Right, and I've got a flying hippo." Australia said, rolling his eyes. Just then, a squirrel hopped on the sidewalk in front of them. America made to keep walking, but Australia stopped America and pointed at it in amazement.
"Look, it's a squirrel." Australia said in amazement.
"Uh, yeah." America said, unimpressed.
"Look at that bugger." Australia said, inching closer to it. "It's huge!"
"O-kay." America said in confusion.
"And it's tail is so fluffy."
"Every squirrel on the planet has a fluffy tail dude." America said, getting weirded out.
"Come here you, come on." Australia said, calling to the squirrel.
"Yeah, I wouldn't recommend that." America said as Australia got closer. "Those things could have all sorts of diseases."
"Just a bit closer." Australia said, reaching to pet it. The squirrel was not impressed, and ran away up a nearby tree.
"Dang it, almost had it." Australia sighed.
"Why the interest in squirrels?" America asked.
"I don't got any native squirrels back home, and not nearly as many as you do." Australia said, walking back over to America. "Plus, they are adorable."
"You've got nuts for brains." America joked, making Australia whack America upside the head.
A/N: Apparently America has a lot of squirrels. Sorry this chapter is so short. It's just here to replace an Authors note, because those by themselves aren't allowed on the site. Better things wait ahead.
