Mario's Pizzeria
Day 7
Luigi was home, watching TV. He stared at a picture as the TV commercials aired.
It was a picture of Luigi and Mario in the Mushroom Kingdom, on their first quest to save Princess Peach.
"I hope you're okay, brother," he said. Luigi thought about all the times he spent with Mario.
FLASHBACK...
"AAAAA!" Luigi screamed. There were 8 Goombas, each of them standing on each other's heads to make a tower.
"Don't worry, Luigi," Mario said. Mario jumped on top of a question block to get higher. "So long, Goombas!"
Mario ground-pounded in the air, above all of the goombas.
200, 400, 800, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 1UP!
"Nice, brother!" Luigi told his brother.
Mario jumped down and high-fived Luigi. "Thanks, bro!"
Luigi hit the question block that Mario was just on. It was 8 MORE goombas, each on each other's heads.
"AAAAAA!" Luigi shreiked.
END OF FLASHBACK...
A tear ran down Luigi's eye. He walked to the kitchen counter. He picked up a paper. It was the BILL for the construction of the restaurant.
"How am I going to pay for this?" asked himself, staring at it.
Luigi stood at the kitchen counter, thinking.
*FLASH!*
A commercial came on.
"Do YOU want to earn FAST MONEY?!" It was a toad on-screen wearing business casual clothing,
Luigi turned around rapidly. "DO I!"
"Well, come on down to my factory! We pay 500 coins per hour! Just give us your resume, and you're in! It's literally that easy!"
"What do your employees do at your so-called factory?" asked Luigi.
"Why are you talking to me like I'm a real person? This is just a commercial! If you have any questions, comments, or crackers, call this number on screen NOW!" The Toad hollered, as a telephone number appeared onscreen in white text.
"The factory is not responsible for any harm, or death. Well, you're the one who signed up to come here in the first place." A male voice announced fast, so the viewers couldn't hear it.
Luigi's arm magically stretched to the house phone. He dialed the number. "I'd like to apply for a job, please," he started speaking.
2 HOURS LATER...
Luigi already got the job, and he was arriving at the factory. "I'm kinda suspicious that getting the position only took 2 hours," thought Luigi. "Oh well, what could go wrong?"
Luigi arrived at the factory. It looked abandoned. There were bats flying around, rats running around, and spider webs in every tree and bush. The clouds were awkwardly purple, and the sky was grey above the factory, but around the factory, the sky and clouds were normal. Thunder crashed.
Daisy and Peach arrived. "This better be worth it," Daisy folded her arms. How much are we making, Luigi?"
"500 coins per hour." We all can just work here all day, and we're set!
They walked to the entrance of the haunted house, uh...I mean factory.
"So we're going to work like, 8 hours here just for today?" Daisy asked.
"Yup." Luigi folded his arms. "And then we're off the hook!"
*CREAK*
They entered the building.
"HE HE HE HE!" They heard laughing. "Are you ready for work?! Put on your uniform!" A voice called out. The voice seemed to drag its sentences forever.
"It's a ghost!" Peach screamed.
"Peach, either you stay here and get your act together, or get the f**k out." Daisy hollered.
Three pairs of uniforms fell out of the ceiling. They were blue shirts, black pants, and blue hats.
"Oh...I really wish M-Mario was here to p-protect me!" Peach shivered.
"Really?" Luigi asked. "What's wrong with me? I think we're equal in strength."
"Luigi I can't lie, but, you're just a coward." Peach replied.
"WHAT!"
"You're the one who's afraid of ghosts." Peach put her hands on her hips.
"Peach, you're shivering, and we hadn't seen S**T YET!" Daisy hollered.
Peach was silent.
"Get to your stations!" They heard that same voice again. "Here are your coworkers!"
*BANG!*
Skeletons fell out of the ceiling. They had the same blue hats that were apart of the uniform.
"Our coworkers are dead!" Peach screamed.
"Peach, can you stop SCREAMING in my ear? Please!" Daisy shouted.
"Get to your stations!"
"Can you wait?" Luigi asked. Let us just settle down.
"There's a spider right by your head Luigi," Daisy claimed.
"AAHHH!" He jumped. He smacked it away.
"Get to your stations." The same voice announced, this time sounding scary. "And if you need me, just call me 'boss'. I'll be available anytime..."
*ZOOM!*
The 3 were instantly at their stations.
"You will get your paycheck at the end..." The voice said in a creepy way.
30 MINUTES LATER...
Luigi worked at his station. He had to clean air ducts and vents. They were dark, creepy, scary, filthy, and grimy, and in all the bad ways. Luigi had a cloth towel, a bucket of water, a sponge, and the lemon-scented cleaning chemical. Luigi didn't mind the work-the vents were extremely simple to clean-but the vents scared the crap out of Luigi.
*BONK*
Luigi knocked over the bucket of water. "Dammit!" He used the cloth towel to dry it up. "Now I have to get more water from the sink." Luigi prepared to leave the vent, but he saw a BIG spider. It was dark blue, and it glowed green.
"AAAAAAAAAA!" He screamed. Luigi got up and ran to get water. As he ran, he passed by Daisy's station.
Daisy was in a supply closet. There were some shelves, and she organized the various items that belonged to shelves.
"This place is so gross." Daisy glanced above her and saw three cockroaches crawling on the ceiling.
"I think I'm going to chill for a while."
Daisy sat down on a stool. She looked to the wall on her right. The wall had a green, smelly mold that seemed to spread across the wall every second. Daisy grabbed a banana peel that was on the ground and tossed it in the garbage can that was located in the room. It was full.
"I'll just take it out later," Daisy said. "I'm kinda tired right now." Daisy put her head down on a desk to rest for a while.
*CRASH!*
Daisy lifted her head off of the desk. The garbage can toppled over and all of the trash had fallen out. She stared at it for a couple of seconds and put her head back down on the desk.
Being in in a large room full of boxes, furniture, and other junk, Peach had the worst job of them all. It \appeared as though someone just the boxes into the room and left. Peach had to SEARCH every box, and she had to use roach spray to kill all of the roaches. It didn't matter if she messed the room up, she just had to destroy all of the nasty bugs.
"This is just so gross!" Peach stood in a corner. Peach turned around rapidly like something was there. She looked around in intense fright. "I'm soo scared! It's all Luigi's fault Mario is in the hospital!"
Peach looked down. There was a giant SPIDER. It was dark blue, and it glowed green. The spider blinked.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Peach screamed. Peach tried to leave the room.
"Up, up up!" The boss announced. "It's not your lunch break yet!"
*SLAM!*
The door slammed shut, and a locking sound was heard.
*CLICK!*
"Oh my gosh," Peach said in anger since she wasn't allowed to leave. She turned around, realizing the spider was gone. Peach ran to a bunch of boxes and threw them across the room. "Hell no! Where did he go?!"
Peach felt something ON HER HEAD. Peach put her hand on her head. It felt FUZZY. Peach pulled out her phone and opened the camera app. She looked in the camera. It was THE SPIDER on her head.
Peach stood there for 5 seconds and then-
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" She screamed. "IT'S ON ME!"
"Ugh," Luigi said in his station. "What is she screaming about?"
*SPRAY!*
Luigi sprayed some of the cleaning chemicals in his face accidentally.
"AAAAAAAAA!" Luigi screamed. "MY EYES!" He closed his eyes and held his arms out in front of him to try and find the bathroom.
"Where are you going?" The boss's voice asked.
"I need the bathroom!" Luigi screamed. "Let me go! Please!"
"Fine." The voice said. "2 MINUTES."
Luigi opened his eyes for one second because he couldn't keep his eyes open for long. After spotting the bathroom, he ran towards it.
*ZOOM!* *BONK!*
It wasn't the bathroom. It was Daisy's workstation.
"Thanks, for messing up my station!" shouted Daisy.
Before, Daisy knocked over the trash can and made all of the trash fell out. Daisy cleaned it up, but Luigi just knocked it over again.
"Sorry." He said. "Where's the bathroom? I can't really look around at the moment."
"I don't know, ask the boss!"
"I'm sorry, just chill out." Luigi walked out. He could open his eyes, but they burned badly.
"Hey, boss!" Luigi called. "Where's the bathroom?"
"You asked to use the bathroom 2 minutes ago, you should be returning to your station now."
"Well, I got a little sidetracked by DAISY." Luigi raised his voice when he said her name.
"Well, too bad. bathroom time is up. Back to your station, now!" hollered the boss.
Luigi walked back to his station. "Oh, my eye." He rubbed his eye, and it began to turn red.
Luigi entered his station. "OH NO!" He shouted.
The cleaning chemical was OPEN, and it was all spilt on the ground.
"Oh, crap." Luigi facepalmed.
"THAT'S REVENGE!" Daisy called in the other room, pointing dead at him.
"IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" Luigi shouted. "RELAX!"
"I DON'T CARE!" Daisy screamed. "I HAD TO GET YOU BACK!"
"You just made my job a thousand times harder!" Luigi grabbed paper towels to clean up the spilt cleaning chemical.
"And you did the same to me!" Daisy said. "So we're even!"
*COUGH!* *COUGH!*
Luigi started coughing. The lemon scent was too strong, and it started to burn his nose.
"Oh, I need more paper towels," Luigi said.
A hand holding paper towels was sticking out of the vent.
"Oh, thank you." Luigi grabbed them and continued to wipe up the chemical.
Luigi's eyes widened. "Who was that?"
He looked inside the vent. "Hello?" He called and pulled out his phone and used the flashlight. He saw two dots.
"Hell no." He got up and looked around.
"Psst! Hey!" Luigi heard. That voice was coming FROM the vent.
"Oh god." he began to sweat. Luigi had to idea what to do.
Daisy was in her station. Daisy finished her assignment. The shelves were organized neatly. She even tightened the screws that were apart of the shelf, and she didn't even have to do that.
"Yo boss, I'm done." Daisy sat on a stool and put her head down.
"Great work, Daisy." the voice said. "But you can't sleep on the job."
"What?" She shouted. "I was sleeping earlier, and you didn't say anything! You can't just make a new rule out of nowhere!"
"Go assist your friends." The boss demanded. "NOW."
"Oh my god!" Daisy got up with a lot of attitude and she walked to Peach's station.
"Peach?" Daisy called. Peach was nowhere to be found.
"I'm here," Peach called.
Daisy walked over to a box. Daisy lifted it up and exposed Peach.
"AHH!" Peach screamed. "Cover it! So he doesn't see me!"
Daisy covered the box over Peach. "What's going on?"
"The spider!" I can't let him see me!" Peach shouted.
"Spider?" Daisy was confused. "What's your job, anyway?"
"I have to k-kill these bugs that roam around in here..."
"So, just kill it! Don't just hide! If you hide, not only will you make no progress, but you are letting the spider take control of you! You're telling the spider that YOU are weaker than it! Are you weaker than a spider, Peach?"
"No..." Peach said.
"Then, get out of that dumb box and go FIGHT!" Daisy screamed.
"But, I'm scared!" she whined.
"You're lame, Peach." Daisy rolled her eyes. "I don't know how you will be able to progress in life. I'm out of here." She left Peach's workstation.
"I'm hungry." Daisy rubbed her stomach. "Hey boss, I'm leaving to go get lunch. I need some McDonald's."
"No need." The boss called. A brown paper bag came out of the ceiling.
"Why can't you just come in person?" Daisy picked up the brown paper bag.
"You'll get to see me once your shift is over." He said in a very creepy way.
Daisy reached in the bag and looked at the contents inside. "PB & J? Apple slices?! Honey graham crackers?! A pouch of grape punch?!"
"Is something wrong, Daisy?"
"What am I-5 years old!" Daisy screamed. "These are snacks that kids get in schools!"
"Wow, do I feel hurt. I paid for these snacks myself and you won't even give them a try. Well, it's either that or nothing."
"Oh my god..." Daisy facepalmed.
She went to her station. She opened the pack of the honey graham crackers and ate one.
"Hey, I admit these aren't bad."
Luigi sat down in his station, afraid. He was sitting there ever since he found out someone was hiding in the vent. Luigi blinked.
"Luigi, you haven't been doing anything for about ten minutes." The boss called.
"Boss, someone's in this vent!" Luigi shouted.
"And? That's the big reason why you can't work?" The boss asked. "Pathetic. Get back to work right now."
"But-But-I don't know what to do!"
"Get back to work or NO lunch for you." The boss got angry.
"Oh my god!" Luigi facepalmed. "And plus, I need another bottle of that cleaning chemical!"
"There's more in Daisy's ROOM!" The boss shouted.
"And how was I supposed to know?" Luigi asked.
"If you need anything, just CALL ME. I said that before you three started working! You should've called me!"
Luigi was sorry. "I'm sorry, boss. I'll get moving now."
"You know, I'm starting to not like you three." The boss said with a little anger. "You and Peach are making slow progress, and Daisy's just rude!"
"Whatever," Daisy said in her station. "I'm only rude right now because people just want to piss me off."
"Now, go grab more of your cleaning chemical, and get back to work!" The boss shouted.
"Ugh!" Luigi walked to Daisy's room.
Daisy was eating her PB & J.
"Really? This is the so-called lunch he was talking about?"
"Yeah," Daisy replied. "I'm just so hungry. What are you here for anyway?"
"Oh, the boss said there's more cleaning chemical in your station."
"It's right on top of that shelf." Daisy pointed.
"Can you pass it to me?"
"No, I'm eating!" Daisy shouted. "I'm not getting that poison on my hands!"
Luigi reached over Daisy to grab the chemical.
*KNOCK!* *SPLASH!*
The cap of the cleaning chemical was NOT on properly for some stupid reason, and then Luigi accidentally tipped it over. It all splashed on DAISY, who was sitting right next to that shelf.
"OH MY GOD!" Luigi shouted. "I am so...sorry!"
Daisy covered her eyes since it burned her eyes. "LUIGI, YOU'VE DONE IT NOW!"
"It was an accident! I'm sorry!"
"AAAAA! THIS BURNS SO MUCH!" Daisy ran to the bathroom.
"I thought you didn't know where the bathroom was, LIAR!" Luigi screamed.
"LUIGI!" This boss screamed. "WHY are you in Daisy's working area?"
"YOU TOLD ME TO GRAB MORE CLEANING CHEMICAL!"
"You should've got it already! What is taking so long?! Luigi, you're the slowest of the group!"
"WHAT!" Luigi shouted. "Take a look at Peach, she didn't do s*** yet! And for some stupid reason, the cap was off of that dumb chemical!"
"Well, Daisy should've handed it to you!"
"AAAAAAAAA!" Luigi had it with the boss. "You're always like, 'You should have this' and 'You should have that'! Why can't you accept that everyone makes mistakes all the time!"
The boss was silent.
"Exactly!" he shouted.
Daisy returned from the bathroom. Her eyes were red.
They heard screaming from Peach's station.
Peach ran out of her station. "Can't you see he's trying to KILL ME!" Peach pointed behind her.
It was the same spider that Peach was hiding from.
*STEP!*
Luigi stepped on it and pouted at Peach.
"Well, everyone finished their jobs, except for YOU, Luigi." the boss announced..\
"Are you sure about that?" Luigi pointed to the vent he was cleaning. It was shiny and clean.
*THUMP!* *THUMP!*
The thumping was heard from the vent Luigi was cleaning.
"Uh oh." Luigi put his hands on his face.
"GRAA!" A hand came out of the went.
It was a Toad, and that Toad looked homeless. He was very dirty, his eyes were red, and his clothes were all torn apart.
"Finally! I'm out! I'm a free man again!" The toad looked around.
He turned towards Peach, Luigi, and Daisy.
"You guys need to get out of here. This place is messed up." The toad said as he walked to the exit.
"BLAH!" Daisy stuck out her tongue. "You're messed up too, you know!" She called out to the Toad.
"Your mother!" The Toad left.
"Hey, Luigi, look at the vent that you were cleaning!" The boss said.
Luigi looked. The homeless Toad made it dirty, AGAIN.
"AAAAAAAAAA!" Luigi stamped his feet.
*CRASH!*
The stamping caused the shelf in Daisy's station to collapse.
"At least the garbage can didn't get knocked over again," Daisy said.
*CRASH!*
And...the garbage can got knocked over again.
"At least there's no-" Peach said, but Luigi covered her mouth.
The spider that Luigi stepped on began to shake.
*SPLAT!*
Hundreds of baby spiders started to crawl around the premises. Peach fainted.
"THAT'S IT!" The boss shouted. "You three are the WORST employees I have ever had! You all are fired!"
*BANG!*
Someone fell from the ceiling. It was the same Toad from the commercial, who wore the business casual clothing.
"And now, It's payback time!" He cracked his knuckles.
"You can't hurt us!" Luigi shouted and put his hands up.
*ZIP!*
The boss had a ZIPPER on his head. He pulled it down. It was Wario and Waluigi, who were both in that one suit.
"Of course." Daisy facepalmed. "Who else would it have been?"
"Our trick worked!" Wario laughed. "WA HA HA!"
"Why are you doing this!" Daisy shouted. "You literally took away HOURS from our lives, for nothing!"
"We're still enemies." Waluigi said. "We'll be enemies forever!"
"Well, you two can beat them up. I'm just so tired and stressed right now." Peach said.
"WA HA HA HA HA!" They both laughed. "What's the matter, tired?"
"I bet they're going to go home and drink their ENERGY DRINKS!"
"WA HA HA HA!" They fell on the ground and laughed.
Luigi, Daisy, and Peach simply walked out. Luigi grabbed a Fire Flower from his pocket and used it.
"Later, fatties." Luigi threw a fireball towards the building.
*BANG!*
The building caught on fire.
"AAAAAAAAAA!" Wario and Waluigi screamed and ran out like there was no tomorrow.
