Mario's Pizzeria
Day 9 - Part 2

"Oh, shit." Luigi, Peach, Daisy, and Bill Dinero all said simultaneously. They observed the danger that lied in front of them.
"I AM DARK DRAGON TOAD." hollered the beast. It was a massive black dragon. Glowing purple, it hard large wings and sharp, deadly claws on its feet. Its scales were as shiny as crystals. Gorgeous white horizontal ripples went across his chest.
Bill Dinero was completely silent.
"Run!" Yelled Luigi. "Ow, my leg!" He rubbed his leg.
"Move it!" Daisy pushed him.
"My phone!" Bill screamed, and he ran back to the destroyed pizzeria.
"For the last time, no!" Peach grabbed his arm.
Bill smacked her hand with his other arm and Peach let go. As Bill ran towards the destroyed pizzeria, DDT held his breath for five seconds and exhaled. Black fire spewed out his nostrils, incinerating the remnants of the pizzeria. Bill stood there with pain in his eyes. He dropped to his knees and cried in sorrow. Yoshi and Birdo had just arrived and they witnessed the dragon.
"Oh hell no." Yoshi took off his shades and threw it aside. "Dragons now?"
"What's next, the devil?" Birdo asked figuratively.
"I'mma tell Donkey Kong to come through," he whipped out his phone to call him.
Bill still was on his knees, crying like a baby.
"Let's run!" Luigi shouted.
Peach was seen holding her phone, and then she quickly put it into her pocket. "No need, I called Toad. He's coming to pick us up, and get us out of here!"
*HONK!*
Toad was already there in a pink princess car. "Holy crap!" He saw the dragon. "Everyone in, now!"
"BILL, LET'S GO, OR WE'RE LEAVING YOU!" Daisy shouted in the back seat of the car next to Peach and Luigi.
"Who's that?" Toad asked.
"The COO of the Mushroom Kingdom Restaurant Bureau."
Dark Dragon Toad flapped his gorgeous wings and slowly rose in the air. "I'm going to turn the Mushroom Kingdom into a pile of dust!"
"Oh, for crying out loud!" Toad exited the car and dragged Bill in the right seat. Toad hopped back on the wheel and stepped on the gas. Bill Dinero had his hand on his chest.
"Bill, are you alright?" Luigi asked. Bill did not answer.
"Leave him alone! He's obviously not in the mood." Daisy told Luigi.
"I wonder why." Peach scratched her yellow hair.
"He's a businessman! He doesn't deal with this chaos! This is normal for us!" replied Daisy.
"Oh."
A large shadow appeared above Toad, and he couldn't see. He slammed on the brakes.
*SCREECH!*
Toad exited the vehicle and looked up. IT WAS DARK DRAGON TOAD. A smirk was on the reptiles face.
"AAAAAA!" Toad screamed and hopped back on the wheel. "THE DRAGON IS ON OUR TAIL!"
"Dragon Tales?" Luigi scratched his head. "I liked that show!" Daisy punched him.
*VROOM!*
Toad was going fifty miles per hour. The large shadow was still above them.
"Alright, I think I gave them enough time to run," DDT told himself. "I think I'm going to kill them now."
*BLAST!*BANG!*
He breathed black fire at the trunk of the car, and it caught on fire. "Why is it so hot?" Peach fanned herself. She glanced through the window of the car, seeing an enormous colony of flames beside her. Toad continued to drive until the car came to a screeching halt; the car was busted.
*SCREECH!*
"GET OUT! The engine's about to blow!" shouted Toad. Everyone quickly exited. Toad went to the trunk and pulled out a black briefcase. "We're going to need this."
Bill remained in the car. "I just want to die at this point." He closed his eyes and opening his arms. "I can't deal with this stress! I never knew what terror this world possesses. I don't even know why I haven't died years ago."
Everyone hid behind a large mushroom house. The entire street had burn marks and black flames everywhere, contrasting the gloomy, orange sky. Empty, burnt question blocks could be found at every corner. Every tree was naked and dried out. Mushroom houses were destroyed and corpses of humans and toads laid on the street.
"Is everyone here?!" asked Toad, dusting himself off.
"BILL!" Everyone said simultaneously. They looked at the car. Luigi ran towards the car to try to save him. Toad grabbed his arm. "It's too late."
In three seconds, there was a massive explosion, and the car flew into the air, still erupting in flames. It landed on its side and continued to burn. Everyone stood there in devastation.
"He was a kind man." Luigi took off his green hat, and tears ran down his eyes. "He could've saved our pizzeria. He didn't deserve this!"
"NOOO!" Daisy and Peach cried too. Everyone hugged each other, in immense depression.
*BLAST!*
As the heroes paid their respects, the enormous and furious dragon breathed his powerful wave of fire towards them. Toad–who was not paying respects with the others–noticed the dragon's sneaky action. But Toad had noticed it too late. "LOOK OUT!" shouted the talking mushroom. Luigi, Peach, and Daisy turned around, seeing the flame an inch from their face. It was too close to them to take any action. "AAAAA!" They all shouted, flying into the air, multiple feet away.
"Guys!" Toad ran over to assist them. He held up the princesses and then Luigi.
"JESUS!" Luigi bellowed in pain. "My leg hurts even more now!"
"Looks like we're going to need this!" Toad revealed the black briefcase that he previously pulled out of his car just in time.
"What's that?" asked Luigi, rubbing his leg.
"It's an emergency kit," replied Toad. "It contains powerful items that are useful in situations like these." He opened the briefcase. There were a ton of items inside. Toad pulled out a white mushroom, with a red plus on it. "Eat this!" Toad handed it to Luigi.
Luigi ate the mushroom that Toad provided. His leg felt much better. "Oh yeah!" Luigi did some lunges to test his leg.
"There you are!" shouted DDT, as it just spotted the heroes.
Toad dug into the black briefcase again. He pulled out an item–a POW block. "Throw this at it!" he handed it to Luigi. Luigi threw the POW block at the dragon.
*POW!*
There was a large air–quake. The Dragon fell to the ground, causing debris to fly everywhere.
*THUD!*
"Yes! He's dead!" Peach did a little dance with her umbrella.
"Not quite." Toad shook his head. "The POW block only knocked him out."
"Dang!" Daisy snapped her fingers. "How are we supposed to kill him?"
"He's too fast for us to kill. He can easily incinerate us with his dark fire breath," explained Toad. "We will have to hide, and perform a sneak attack."
"Sounds great!" Peach looked around. "Let's hide in that large toad house!" Peach pointed to a large toad house.
"I don't know, it looks kind of obvious." Daisy scratched her head. "Let's hide in that small one!" Daisy pointed into a much smaller toad house. It was only ONE story.
"Alright, fine. Let's come up with a plan to defeat the dragon in there." Toad and the heroes walked towards the mushroom house. Luigi opened the door.
"STAY BACK! I'M WARNING YOU!" Wario shouted. He and Waluigi were in the tiny toad house they had Bob-Ombs, ready to throw at people.
"Look who it is," said Peach, putting her hands on her hips. Toad pouted at the two.
"Why are you two hiding, huh?" asked Luigi.
"That's what everyone is doing!" Waluigi shrieked. "What would you expect us to do?"
"Oh, I don't know, help fight the dragon!" yelled Luigi sarcastically.
"This is all your fault," Peach folded her arms.
"Look, we didn't know he was a demon! We thought he was him!" Wario pointed to Toad. "We used him and the two koopas to ruin your restaurant!"
Toad facepalmed. "See, this is where things don't make any sense. Why did you want to take down their restaurant in the first place?!"
"Yeah! Making everyone think we served free pizza and everything!" shouted Luigi.
"W-we're sorry!" Wario and Waluigi held hands and cried. "AAAAAAAA!"
"Shut up, we knocked out the demon!" Daisy said. "You idiots are going to wake him up!"
*CRASH!*
The ROOF of the toad house was torn off. "Who opened the sunroof?" asked Luigi. Everybody looked up. It was Dark Dragon Toad.
"HOLY CRAP, HE'S SCARY!" Wario and Waluigi shouted.
"Great, now he's awake and we haven't even come up with a plan!"
"Please tell me you have another POW block!" Luigi crossed his fingers.
"Yeah, I do!" Toad bent down and picked up nothing. His eyes widened. He slowly turned around and opened the front door to the mushroom house. He saw the briefcase. "NO!" Toad shouted loud as an airhorn and ran as quickly as he could to get the briefcase. Toad held on to it.
"What a yummy snack!" Dark Dragon Toad picked up the briefcase, with Toad holding onto it at the bottom.
"Toad, NO!" Everyone except Wario and Waluigi ran outside. "Toad, let go of the briefcase!"
"No!" Toad shouted. "I need it!"
The briefcase opened, and an item fell out. Toad fell down as well, as his grip on the briefcase loosened. Luckily, Toad landed in the arms of everyone else. The item fell on the ground. It was a starman. The dragon had eaten the briefcase.
"Let's-a-go!" Luigi grabbed the starman. Running towards the dragon, his entire body flashed rainbow and he was fast as a bullet bill. "Say your prayers!" Luigi ran into it. Luigi stopped running and turned around. The dragon was still standing. "I said, say your prayers!" Luigi ran into it again; the same thing occurred.
Toad, Peach, and Daisy glanced at each other in confusion.
"I am made of dark matter," yelled the dragon. "Invincibility can't damage me. But I can damage IT."
"AAAA!" Luigi screamed and tried to run away.
*SMACK!*
Dark Dragon Toad smacked Luigi, and he flew into the small mushroom house that they were all in. His head banged against the bricks on the house. He fell onto the ground and rubbed his head in pain.
"Why is he always getting hurt?" asked Daisy.
"I had enough games! I'm going to kill you all now! "Starting with green Mario!" shouted the dragon with intense anger. He faced Luigi and held his breath.
Wario and Waluigi screamed and ran out of the toad house since it was in the radius of the blast. They saw Luigi, lying on the ground.
"Luigi!" shouted Wario. "Help him!" Wario and Waluigi picked up Luigi and carried him out of the radius of the blast.
*BLAST!*
The dragon breathed its dark fire there for about five seconds, turning the mushroom house into DUST. Wario and Waluigi dropped Luigi on the ground carefully. "Are you okay?" Wario stared into his eyes.
"Y-you saved me!" Luigi smiled.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Waluigi rolled his eyes.
Luigi rubbed his head. "My head still hurts a little, but I can still fight!"
*BLAST*
Another blast spewed out of the dragon's mouth. But this time, it wasn't its notorious dark fire. It was a bright red laser, that flew straight to all of the heroes.
"AAAAAAA!" they all screamed in pain. The blast violently froze all of them. "I can't move!" shouted Luigi.
DDT stopped using the laser. The heroes felt no more pain, but they were still invulnerable to moving. "I got you guys now." The dragon flew closer to the stunned heroes for dramatic effect.
"WE'RE GOING TO DIE!" Peach screamed. "Guys, I just wanted to say that I love you all."
"WE LOVE YOU TOO!" everyone else shouted too.
"NOT SO FAST!" A voice was heard. The stunned heroes looked to where the voice was heard. It was Yoshi, Birdo, Bowser, and Donkey Kong.
Birdo rapidly spat eggs at the dragon.
*BLAST!*
He used his dark fire breath to incinerate the eggs. "Is that all you got?" asked the dragon.
*POW!*
Donkey Kong jumped on the dragon's head. Apparently, Birdo's eggs were only a distraction to get Donkey Kong closer to the dragon. Donkey Kong beat his chest and punched the dragon in its left eye.
"ROAR!" DDT roared and violently shook his head since he couldn't breathe fire upwards.
*POW!*POW!*POW!*
Donkey Kong continued to punch the dragon in its eye. Since the dragon couldn't see, Yoshi, Birdo, and Bowser got closer to destroy the demon.
"You going down, yo!" Yoshi put on a new pair of shades.
*BLAST!*
Bowser breathed fire at the dragon's left foot. Yoshi followed it up with a ground-pound. The dragon's foot was all cracked up and dry.
"ROAR!" the dragon roared and fell to the ground. Birdo came along and rapidly shot eggs.
"Wow." Luigi watched the four fight. "They're making us look like crap."
"Yeah, they're putting work in!" replied Toad.
Just then-
*BANG!*
There was a large purple explosion. Yoshi, Birdo, Bowser, and Donkey Kong were sent flying in the air. They landed right next to the stunned heroes. "Ugh..." They all bellowed in pain.
The dragon was standing back onto its two feet. All of the damage that was done no longer existed.
"NO!" Yoshi shouted.
"Why so surprised?" smirked the dragon. "This is my gift to you because I'm back to full health!"
Birdo fainted.
"Aw bananas." Donkey Kong scratched his butt.
"This will never end!" shrieked Waluigi.
"Anyways, I had it with all of this dilly-dallying. Time to kill you all," said DDT.
"Oh yeah?" Bowser folded his arms. "DK, Yoshi, Birdo and I can still move."
*BLAST!*
Once again came the bright red blast, to the four unstunned characters. Only now, they were stunned.
"AAAAAAA!" The newly stunned characters shouted in fright.
"Alright, time to kill you all," DDT said, flying closer to the heroes. "I win."
"This is truly the end!" shouted Luigi. "There's nobody else that can save us now."
Bowser Junior appeared. "Time to save the day!" He put his hands on his hips and put on his bandanna.
*BLAST!*
There came the red blast again, stunning Junior.
"BJ!" shouted Bowser. "You will pay for this!"
"Ha! Another person joined the party." the dragon laughed. "Now I get to see more bodies shrivel up to oblivion. What a blessed day this is!"
"I love you, son," Bowser told his son. "You don't listen to me sometimes, but that doesn't break our bond. Like how I told you to STAY IN THE CASTLE!"
"Sorry, daddy. But I love you too."
"Yo, I-L-Y, Birdie," Yoshi told Birdo. "Man, I wish we could kiss once again before we die."
"I love you, Daisy," said Luigi to Daisy.
"I love you too!" Daisy cried.
"I love you, Wario," Waluigi told him. "Man, the fun times we had."
"I love you, Kongs." a thinking bubble appeared above DK's head with the entire Kong family.
"Alright, no more love nonsense!" DDT was just there waiting patiently. "Time to die... NOW!"
He held his breath for five seconds. His mouth violently shook as the powerful blast was resisting to escape his mouth.
"Peace out everyone." Luigi and the rest of the heroes closed their eyes.
Just as the dragon was about to incinerate all of the heroes, a large fireball–that seemed to come out of nowhere–flew into the dragon. "ROAR!" Dark Dragon Toad shouted as he flew into the air far away.
Everyone looked around, trying to figure out where the fireball came from.
"Who could that be?" asked Waluigi.
"Lets-a-go," the person said, kneeling in the open area. It was Mario!
"MARIO!" shouted all of the heroes.
"I thought you were in the hospital!" shouted Peach, in confusion.
"You recovered that fast, yo?" asked Yoshi.
"Look, I have a lot of explaining to do." Mario facepalmed. "But first, I'm gonna end this." Mario's eyes lit to a bright white color. He rapidly ran towards the dragon—so fast that his entire body caught on fire. Swinging his fist stound while running, he prepared to punch the dragon.
