Mario's Pizza Shop

Day 9 - Part 3

"Hi-Yah!" Mario rapidly ran towards the dragon, with his fists on literal fire. He violently swung his arms, rapidly increasing the intensity of the flame. His veins bulged and tears rapidly ran down his eye. He closed his eyes as the wind blew against his body—due to how fast he ran. The Dragon—who was still lying on the ground—realized Mario was running towards him. He rapidly got up and flew in the air.

*POW!*

As the Dragon was in the air, Mario gave him an uppercut—sending him flying.

"ROOOOAR!" The dragon couldn't handle being thrown in the air at high speeds. His face began to slightly turn green.

*THUD!*

He landed on the ground and held his breath of a couple of seconds.

"WHOA!" Mario rapidly jumped out of the way, assuming the dragon was about to fire at him.

*BARF!*

A thick, black liquid spewed out of the dragon's dreary mouth. The liquid glowed purple and seemed to reflect light.

*COUGH!* *COUGH!*

The dragon put its short little arms on its chest and continuously coughed.

"HA HA!" Bowser Junior laughed at the dragon. "Daddy look, he's choking!"

"This is NO laughing matter!" shouted Bowser. "We can all die in a matter of seconds!"

*BARF!*

The dragon barfed some more. This time, he intentionally aimed at Mario. "Wha-hoo!" He did a backflip over the dragon. While in the air, he tossed two fireballs as the dragon coughed. Where did the fireballs go? Directly in the dragon's mouth.

"RO-O-AR!" The dragon put it's arms on his neck and fell on the ground. His face turned even more green. Mario landed on the ground and put his hands on his hips.

"Well, it looks like my work here is done." Mario wiped sweat off of his forehead and dusted his clothes off. Mario turned to the heroes on the ground. "So, we need to figure out a way to unfreeze you guys."

"Yeah, yo," said Yoshi.

"My butt itches!" exclaimed Donkey Kong.

Toad squinted into the distance; the dragon had stopped coughing and a massive smirk appeared on its face.

"Mario, look out!" shouted Waluigi.

"The dragon!" shrieked Birdo.

Mario turned around. The dragon was directly behind Mario.

"GOODBYE." The dragon waved at Mario. The dragon's mouth violently vibrated and opened wide open. Out came the purple blast towards Mario, sending him straight to space.

"AAAAAA!" Mario flew into the air.

*WHIRR!*

A rescue helicopter flew right by him.

"Mario!" Toadette shouted—who was controlling the helicopter. Mario waved, and immediately fell back down.

*THUD!*

Mario landed on his back, bellowing in pain. The dragon came again, for another attack.

*SMACK!*

He violently smacked Mario, sending him flying in the air. While still flying the helicopter, Toadette looked down and spotted the large dragon.

"Oh my god!" She exclaimed. "That's the dragon! I must help them!"

"No, you're not!" angry Toads shouted in the helicopter.

"You're taking us somewhere safe!" A mother toad shouted, holding two crying baby toads. "Our house was destroyed, and we need to get out of here ASAP! I have children!"

"We can't just leave the heroes by themselves!" Toadette answered.

"You take us to safety, right now, ma'am!" A male toad shouted, shaking his fist.

"NO!" Toadetee shouted. "I'm going to help them, whether you like it or not!" She turned the helicopter around. A large, glowing red button was pressed. Two guns appeared on the front of the helicopter. "LAUNCH MISSILES!" Toadette pressed the button once again, and a homing missile was launched from both of the guns.

"Mama-mia..." Mario sat on the ground, rubbing his head. His overalls were filthy as ever. His red hat was torn in shreds. His left eye was bruised as ever, and blood ran down his head and arms. "Ohh..." Mario fell down on his back and didn't move.

"MARIO!" All of the frozen heroes shouted.

"HE'S DEAD!" Luigi screamed. "Mario!"

The dragon walked towards Mario. "I think I'm going to incinerate the wanna-be hero first!"

*ZOOM!*

The dragon looked up and saw the two missiles. The missiles were so fast, the dragon couldn't react in time.

*BANG!*

"ROAR!" Dark Dragon Toad lost his balance and fell down.

Toadette put on a bulletproof vest, a hard hat, and grabbed a couple of guns and other weapons. She also grabbed a weird blue substance, which was contained in a beaker. "Mallow, take the wheel!" she shouted to Mallow, a frog-looking friend of Mario.

"Whoa!" Mallow struggled to control the helicopter. Toadette released the ladder of the helicopter and slid right down to the ground.

"Toadeete, no!" shouted Toad—who was frozen on the ground. "You will die!"

"I know what I'm doing." Toadette pulled out a rifle and cocked it.

DDT got back on its feet. "How many more heroes do I have to take care of?"

"Just one!" Toadette shot twice with the rifle, hitting the dragon's toes.

*BANG!* *BANG!*

"ROOAR!" The dragon started to spin around uncontrollably. Its toes began to crack and shrivel up. Toadette revealed a healing mushroom and threw it to Mario.

"WHA-HOO!" Mario did a backflip in the air and raised his arms in triumph.

The dragon continued to spin around. "Heads up, Mario!" Toadette threw a fire flower to Mario and ate it.

*BANG!*

There was a large explosion. Becoming the fire version of himself, Mario's eyes glowed white again and he floated in the air. DDT ran towards Toadette and Mario. Toadette threw a grenade at the dragon's face.

"ROAR!" The dragon started to spin around. "AAAAH!"

Mario flew right into the dragon's face. His right hand caught on fire. "Wha-hoo!"

*SWING!* *POW!*

Mario punched the dragon in its eye, and it caught on fire. The dragon breathed its dark fire breath as it fell down. Toadette and Mario dodged the fire.

"He's getting weaker!" she pointed to Dark Dragon Toad.

The dragon's black, purple color was now grey, and he glowed a much lighter color of purple. "ROAARRRR!" The dragon dragged its roars.

Toadette and Mario glanced at each other.

"Mercy, please! Rooooar!" Grey tears came out of the eyes of the dragon.

"Baby!" Daisy shouted out.

Luigi raised an eyebrow.

"It's my character, relax!"

"Alright, you guys win! Please, I promise to be good!" cried the dragon. "Please just let me live! I don't want to die!"

Mario and Toadette glanced at each other again. They nodded at each other and smirked.

"Alright, we'll spare you."

The dragon got up on its feet. "Wow, really?"

"NO!" Mario and Toadette shouted at the same time. Toadette revealed a stun gun and shot multiple times at the dragon.

"RO-O-O-AR!" It's roar continuously paused and resumed with each stun. With the stun gun in her right hand, Toadette pulled out the rifle and shot with her left hand. shooting the dragon's chest, multiple bullet holes leaked a grey liquid appeared. The dragon still stood up straight with its distorted roars and not being able to move.

"Finish him off, Mario!" Toadette continued to fire with both of the guns.

"Mario time!" Mario flew high in the sky and wound up both of his arms. Fireballs appeared in both arms and continued to grow as he swung. After swinging for a while, he put both of his arms together, and a large fireball was ready to be thrown.

"N-O-O-O!" shouted the dragon—who continued to get stung.

"Oh yeah!" Mario held the fireball, as his eyes caught on literal fire. "HE-YAW!" Mario threw the fireball towards the dragon.

*BANG!*

The dragon was instantly incinerated. His remnants fell to the ground, in the form of coal. Toadette swung the guns on her fingers and put them back in her vest. Mario fell down and landed on his feet, and his eyes turned to normal.

"Our work here is done," they gave each other a fist pump.

"Hello!" Wario shouted. "What about us?"

Toadette revealed the blue substance which she had earlier. She threw it on the stunned heroes. It slowly flowed on the ground.

"Oh yeah!" Luigi jumped in the air, as he was able to move again. Toad, Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Peach, Yoshi, Birdo, Donkey Kong, Bowser, and Bowser Junior were able to move again as well.

"Daddy!" Bowser Junior ran to his father and hugged him.

"I'm glad all of this is over," a tear ran down Bowser's eye.

"Come here, girl." Yoshi opened his arms and Birdo ran into them. They gave each other a big hug and several kisses.

"Baby!" Toad ran to Toadette and hugged her. She pushed Toad aside.

"We're not dating, anymore idiot," she smacked Toad. "But I still love you!" They resumed hugging.

"Thank you, Mario!" Peach went to him. "Remind me to bake you a cake."

"No problem!" Mario took off his hat and scratched his brown hair. Peach kissed Mario, and sizzling was heard.

"Heh." Mario blushed and nervously chuckled.

"Take that!" Luigi kicked the coal that the dragon has turned into.

"Look at this place." Donkey Kong looked at the Mushroom Kingdom. "Looks like there was a Zombie Apocalypse."

*WHOOSH!*

Toadette's helicopter safely landed on the ground, and Mallow hopped out. "Hooray, Mario!"

"Speaking of you, Mario, how did you get out of the hospital?" Luigi scratched his head.

"I remember having multiple seizures in the hospital," explained Mario. "I began to foam out of my mouth, and my skin got paler and paler over time. The doctor hadn't seen anything like it before, and he was running out of medications to give me. Then he noticed the dragon that was destroying the kingdom, and he knew my help was needed. He gave me this weird fire flower. It was supposed to reduce the number of symptoms, but it gave me permanent fire powers, and immediately brought me back to full strength."

"Wow." Wario was surprised. "Shoutout to Doctor Mario!"

A bunch of toads walked out of Toadette's helicopter.

"Hello!" The same mother toad from before shouted. "Where are we supposed to sleep tonight? Remember, I HAVE CHILDREN!" She shoved her baby toad in Toadette's face.

Toadette had it with the mother toad. Toadette threw her hat, guns, and bulletproof vest aside. "YOU'RE OVER HERE WORRYING ABOUT YOURSELF WHEN THERE ARE MUCH BIGGER PROBLEMS AHEAD! TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT OF THIS KINGDOM WAS TURNED INTO RUBBLE! SO INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING, HOW ABOUT YOU HELP AND GET AT LEAST SOMETHING DONE!"

The mother toad was silent. "Oh."

"Yo, I think we should cut out the dilly-dallying and get to repairing this kingdom. Too bad we have no construction workers." Yoshi walked to a damaged mushroom house and leaned on it.

*CRACK* *CRUSH!*

The mushroom house got destroyed, and construction toads were revealed.

"Is the beast gone yet?" asked one of the construction Toads.

2 HOURS LATER...

Everyone was helping to clean the Mushroom Kingdom up. The dark sky slowly turned blue again. The sunlight shined on the heroes, and the heat was felt on their backs.

"Hi-yah!" Mario and Bowser burned a pile of garbage with their fire. Peach and Daisy used a broom and brought it together in a pile. Yoshi stick out his tongue and ate the burnt trash.

*POOP!*

He pooped out an egg and then threw the egg in the garbage.

"I'm sure glad Yoshi's here!" Luigi said. "We're LITTER-ally making no pollution!"

Daisy watched Luigi.

"Get it? Litter, and Literally?" Luigi shrugged.

The construction toads were rebuilding mushroom houses, and Toad was helping, as he had experience with building. They finished three mushroom houses so far.

"There, now you have a place to live." The construction workers showed the mother toad her brand new house.

"Thank you!" She kissed one of the workers and ran in holding her children. The worker stood there in shock.

"She's crazy," her husband walked in after.

Peach and Daisy brought a huge pile of rubble together. "Yoshi, you know what to do."

Yoshi ate the garbage. But then, he made a nasty face.

*SPIT!*

"Bleh! What is this, yo?!" Yoshi wiped his tongue.

Mario, Bowser, Peach, and Daisy walked to the garbage that Yoshi spat out. "What is this?"

The pile of garbage began to move. "Uhhhh." A sound was heard.

"BURN IT!" shouted Mario. He and Bowser charged up their fire attacks.

"Boys, stop!" Peach intervened. "It might be a person!"

A construction toad came by. "What's the matter?"

"This must be a person that needs help!" Daisy said.

The worker grabbed his water bottle and splashed it on the "thing". Dirt and rubble came off. A face was seen.

"OHHH..." The person moaned. It was BILL DINERO.

"BILL!" Mario, Bowser, Peach, Toad, and Daisy shouted.

"OHHH..." his eye twitched. His body violently vibrated.

"He's alive!"

"Call an ambulance!" Peach screamed. "He obviously needs help."

Toadette came and threw a healing mushroom at Bill. "Thank me later."

Bill was healed, and he got on his two feet. "Oh dear." His suit was torn up and burnt. His monocle had multiple cracks across it. He was missing his left shoe, and dirt covered his face. He continuously coughed.

"Yo, you've been blessed, yo," said Yoshi.

"Why didn't you get out of the car?" asked Toad. "We all were worried that you died!"

Bill sighed, closed his eyes, and began to speak. "In life, there are certain things that you can handle at one time. As a businessman, you don't normally expect crazy things to happen in your life. You expect things to be normal for years to come. However just today, so many things happened at once. Things escalated so fast, I couldn't even keep up with what was going on. As a child, I loved to meditate. I had lost my mother as a teenager, and before she passed, she told me this: 'When you can't handle things, just zone out. When you are in your zone, you are invulnerable to anything.' And after she passed, I always had that at the back of my head. But, when I was in that car, knowing that a demonic beast was after us, I so under pressure, I felt this was the only instance where meditation couldn't save me. But death." Bill opened his eyes. "Sorry, everyone."

Everyone was standing in a circle, listening to Bill's words. The mother toad holding her baby started to wipe tears from her eyes. Her husband put his hand on her shoulder.

"Damn, yo!" Yoshi burst into tears and fell into Birdo's arms.

"He's more emotional than me," said Birdo, rolling her eyes.

"Such a sad story." Peach wiped her eyes. "Bill, we respect your story and your beliefs."

"Thanks." Bill looked to the ground. "I'm just shocked that I'm even alive at this point." He put his hand on his chest.

Mario came and stood in the center of everyone. "Bill, I swear on my life you will get the respect and life that you deserve."

"Oh no, I can't quit my job!" Bill put his hands in the air.

Mario laughed. "Oh, nevermind. Let's get building, everyone!" Mario leaped into the air.

"Yeah!" shouted everyone else, and they call resumed work.
