A light humming woke Hikari from her slumber, she finds her mother on her bedside gently stroking the top of her head with a pleasant smile rested upon her lips. Her eyes closed from her warm humming, opened feeling Hikari's eyes on her. Smiles relieved at the sight daughter was awake, tears appeared in the corner.

Hikari sits up."Moth-"

May throws her arms around her daughter. "Oh, you're alright. I was afraid. Are you okay?"

A question that Hikari wasn't sure how to answer, trying to recall what previously happened, nothing came to mind. No matter how hard she tried. "Yes, I am."

May's shoulders relaxed hearing those words, releases her daughter though still keeping her hand upon her head. Stroking a bit of strands out of her face. "You have such lovely hair, you surely are your father's daughter." She lightly teases, poping her nose. "I'm sure you're wondering why you're home and not at the Academy, well," May rises taking her hand with her.

Stops and admires one of Hikari's pictures sitting on her dresser. There was something rather eerie Hikari felt from that sudden pause. Watching her mother carefully, she stood there humble and well, yet, something in her eyes gleamed twistedly. Despite its sunny rays.

"You were on your way with your cousin, Boruto and suddenly," May runs a smooth finger on the glass of the picture. "passed-out. He sent one of his clones to come and tell me. You had a fever, so I had you stay home. Don't worry," She turns to her daughter with a smile that meant well but held something behind it. "Boruto will come and bring you your work, I know how you like to keep up with studies. So much like your father."

Speaking of father, Hikari hadn't seen him. "Where is my father?"

"He's gone a mission, for Naruto, don't worry he'll be back soon."

Swallowing hard, Hikari asked another question."How long, will he be gone? When did he leave?"

"About three days ago, remember?"

Hikari tried but, she couldn't, shutting her eyes briefly tries to recall Neji telling her those words finds instead a sharp headache. That caused her pain. Jolting back from the surge nearly topple off her bed, May quickly catches her and lays her back down. "Oh, dear," she clicks her tongue. "Maybe your head is still hurting, rest sweetie. Alright? I'll make you some soba, chicken though."

Fighting against the pain, Hikari nods agreeing. When the ground suddenly trembled, noticed this strange quick sneering flash in her mother's eyes. Something she hadn't seen before, her mother always had on a joyful and light demeanor no matter what. Nervous a bit Hikari sits up to address her mother.

"Mother, are you alr-"

"Lay down!" May growls pushing down her daughter, pinning her there quickly takes her hand back and her gentle expression came back. "Oh, I'm sorry. It's just those earthquakes just have me...just rest. Alright?" Giving her daughter a kiss May leaves without a word in a hurry.

She didn't even bother to stop and look back, which was odd, her mother always did a second glance before leaving her room or Yoshi's. Wait! That name, that name. Yoshi. Where...where was that person? Sitting back up, Hikari gets out of bed careful not to make any noise otherwise her mother might hear her. Walks over to her window and stares out. Into the courtyard. It was empty, stepping back she stares at her reflection finding only a part of her face there, to her shock. Something was missing.

Reaching out to touch it, sees another hand doing the same extending itself to her. Crying to her, it was that voice again. That little voice that desperately sought her. Their fingertips brushed and for a split instant, she found herself standing before...no over a covering child, shaking and trembling with auburn hair. It was whimpering in fear. Tears coming down their face. They kept calling her by a strange name.

"Kar-Kar. Kar-Kar."

Their words gripped her heart she felt something warm roll from the corner of her eye, touching the area finds a tear leaking. A few more follow. What was this? Why was she suddenly crying over this child? Could this child be?

She had to make sure. "Y-Yoshi? Little child, is your name Yoshi?"

The cries stall, good the child heard her, they turn their little head around to her. Their seafoam green eyes flooded with tears smile at her a soft smile pushed the fear gripped on his face. Soon drop and his tears return.

Something came over her and she hurries to their side. "Hey," getting down to their level wiping away his tears tenderly. Tries to comfort him. taking hold of his hands in her's. "hey...shhhh...shhh. It's alright." her voice lowers like a flower petal. "What is it? Why are you crying?"

The boy didn't say anything and kept crying. Something was greatly affecting him. She wasn't sure what it was, but something inside compelled her to fix it. Standing she goes in to hug the boy finding nothing but air. To her dismay. It felt like a knife stabbed right through the heart. "Yoshi!" she hollers, running in search for him. "Yoshi! Yoshi where are you!"

There was no response, her legs still ran, they ran towards this bright light up ahead, to the voice that called from the light. It was Yoshi, overcome with joy pushes harder extending her hand smiling as the light engulfed her and she finds herself...back in her room. No sign of Yoshi. No sound of that voice that called to her. Nothing but her room. All alone. And her reflection was still not whole. Moving away from the window she rushes to the bathroom and looks at her reflection in the mirror it was the same as it was in the window. Only part of her was shown. There was nothing whole. Spooked she stumbles back, what was missing? Her mind screamed, why couldn't she...she remember much?

Where was Yoshi? Where was that little boy? And why did he have such an impact that it made her tears return? Touching them lightly, these weren't normal tears she knew that. These tears leaked when something was...was wrong. No, when something missing. She cried like this before she was sure of it, but when? Shutting her eyes burrow deeply into her mind, passing memories of mother and father. They didn't cause these tears, in fact, it had no effect. Which was odd. Going deeper when something sharp pierced her, she screamed opening her eyes though not before seeing something. That brought her tears back.

Falling to her knees with a loud thud Hikari gasps for air with tears pouring out. A sinking feeling washed over, those people...what she saw for that brief moment. Those people, one of them looked just like her mother, the only difference was radiance that emitted from her. She was younger than her mother was now, at least maybe...18 or 19. Standing next to a man looking nearly identical to Yoshi. He had kind seafoam green eyes that called out to her, both of them were and standing in front was, Yoshi with his little arms open wide. Calling the loudest to her. To come home.

It expanded from there...behind the woman and man more appeared. A woman the same as her Aunt Hinata and her family. Her husband, Naruto and their two children, her cousins. Boruto and Himawari. Yes, she remembered They stood there the girl waving to her with the biggest smile on, then her family. But, each held love. Hinata eyes reflected something much more. And when she remembered Boruto's eyes locking with her's did the same. Appearing next was another family, they had one son with broad yet warm smile directed at her. His dark brown was like his father's pulled back in a spiky ponytail. The father of the family eyes were so warm, they always were.

This is how you play.

His voice she could hear it well. Instructing her on how to play this broad game...it started with an S. Yes, he held her in his lap and her eyes would watch his hands bring up each piece explaining it. The woman in that family had dark blonde hair tied in four, she wore a simple purple wrapped dress. She was strong yet kind. Her eyes melted looking at Hikari. Appearing next a man with purple face paint, like one of those masks smiling gesturing her to come. He was like the others warm. Next, a woman with pink hair and girl standing next to her with dark short black hair and eyes behind thin-rimmed red glasses. They smiled at her too. Another was a woman with long blonde hair, some of it covered her eye, she was dressed in purple, showing a bit of her mid-section. She was very beautiful, it reminder Hikari of that blush clover. She stood there with a man, a pale-skinned one, and a boy the same age as Boruto with the woman's hair and eyes and man's skin complexion. Waiting.

So many faces and individuals came, like shining lights waiting and calling to her. They brought tears to her eyes, they brought these tears that soaked the bathroom floor. Looking at the puddle she made her reflection again looking back this time it was filled with the faces of those she saw. As she stares at each one, the longest at Yoshi's family. A violent hand comes and snatches her by the collar like lighting throws her with heavy force right out. Hikari's body crashes through the wall. Pain spike through her whole body.

Covered in broken wood and concrete it took her a second to get her breathing right, a foot slams down on her chest expelling a scream. A twisted smile spreads across May's lips down at her daughter. "I thought," her words no longer sweet and caring, now vile and crude. "I told you to stay in your room. Such a bad daughter." Her hand lunges at Hikari's throat.

Ignoring the pain, Hikari manages to wiggle out and kick her 'mother' square in the face. Allowing her freedom, taking this opening picks herself up and flees creating as much distance as she could. When a foot comes out of nowhere and kicks her right in the side, crashing her through another wall, right outside into the courtyard. It was like thunder hit, her side throbbing. Hikari picks herself throwing the pain away, is met with lighting kick across the face. Sending her back again.

"Tsk, tsk, such a naughty daughter." May walks calmly over gripping a knife in hand. With deadly intention in firmly set in her eyes. "I provide you with everything, and you just HAD to go and start..start remembering. Look," she stops moving her arms around. "you have everything. Your family. Your village. Your father." The last part saw its effect on Hikari, couldn't help but smile. "Yes, your father. You've wanted to be with him right? That is your desire? Here you can, do you really want to give that up? Hmm?"

She takes a few more steps to Hikari, who manages to stand and takes defensive steps back. Giving her mother a hard stare. Watching her carefully. Spits back. "I have a father!"

May throws her head back and laughs. "You have a lie! You said it yourself!"

Jolted by those words, Hikari crumbles from them. She did..she did say those words before...she said them so much. May laughs at her cruelly watching her succumb to them. Adds more salt to the wound.

Each word that came out stung more and more."You hated your family, you couldn't stand them. Everything was gone. Everything taken away, you stood at your father's grave begging the pain to all end. Right? Right!" Her words lashed at the young Hyuga. "I thought so, now," May calms herself and returns to her gentle way. "Enough of this, why don't we go back inside and all this will be over. You'll be able to join your father soon."

Her hand reaches out tenderly to Hikari about to stroke her cheek. "No!" Hikari slaps it away, activating her eyes and with a mighty palm thrust sends the woman crashing back. Stands ready. Tears in the corner. "This isn't my home. This isn't my family!" Her words spit out with regret but determine to make it right.

Recovering from the assault, May stands dusting herself off, nothing but red in her eyes. Picks up her knife, licking the blade. "Fine. You wretched girl."
