Kohana wasn't the only nation that was effected, the symbol appeared in the center of the each nation. It came in a flash and faded away, quickly it was alerted to the highest authority. Their eyes saw it fade...meaning only one thing. Their nation was left unprotected and also...this wasn't good. It wasn't. If the light was fading, being taken away...then...

Instantly preparations where set in place as instructed by them, they just hoped it would be enough. But, with word spreading from nation to nation on the current situation that now rose and unearth, hope was looking thinner and thinner.

And thinner it was, Shino and the others covering the assault and attack from outside, put up a strong defense. Keeping to staying on their toes and eyes alert, looking for any sort of opening. Their enemy clearly had this thought out well, as they did not seem to allow even a simple crack. But, even air could its way in or better an insect. Jumping back evading the sharp projectile, side steps to the left swiftly narrowly avoiding a swiping attack from behind. Turns his bugs on them, taking down one of the...clones. If one fell another one came, the last one would just...it seem to disintegrate.

Not poof like clones should, it was something completely different.

Whatever the case they came. Attacking another one, his mind split in two. One part wondering if the others had managed to reach the center and the other part...what and where that shaking was coming from? He felt it beneath the earth, shaking tremors far and wide. He nearly lost his balance if he didn't move just in time. At first they where light, then rose to mild and soon everyone across the field could feel them. That and the...clones stopped and fell back. Retreating was more like it.

Odd, was the only word that rose in his mind.

Another violent tremor this time caused deep fissures, that nearly swallowed him up and few others. But those not lucky where taken, their screams screeched across and around. What was going on? Better yet, what was happening?

Questions that where soon answered the moment they crossed his mind, a dark cold shadow rises broadly overcasting and covering nearly every inch of field. A distant whirling reached his ears, behind his visors Shino's eyes narrow at not just the sound but the source of the sound that made not just him, but others too stand and stop. It rose out the ground connecting to what was already here, it was just as Shino remembered from May's memories. But, different. Either way he knew what it was, he was juts surprised it was actually...here...standing.

The crackling power, the veins of light that moved along its outside. From the look of it, it was clearly composed of both tech from here and self made tech from...there. Something of this magnitude required a sustainable amount of power. Again going back to what he remembered from her memories. What was it called? Some sort of cell...some sort of power cell.

Whatever the power source it was, it had to be might if not strong. The construction of it, there was a heavy armor coating it. No doubt for protection. If it had heavy protection then...it also had heavy offense. A sharp shot fires from it, quickly he moves just in time. It fires again in all directions. Some where hit, others managed to move just in time. These shots where...quickly looking at the damage. Realized something familiar about it. It's form of attack was...

He moves again, expecting just a shot turns out to a beam that followed tearing away at whatever got in its path. Scathing the land. This wasn't good. The others...they needed to be warned. Feeling his bugs wouldn't stand a chance, looks for some sort of cover finds nothing. He needed higher ground. Spotting something runs to it, jumps up and flips off landing behind the beam. This time getting a good glimpse of it, the color was undisguisable. Clenching his enraged hand, remained calm but that didn't stop his blazing fire. Casting his eyes up, there had to be a way to get this thing grounded...some way.

Some way indeed was branded in Shikamaru's mind racing to the racing to the center. To his sister. His main focus, nothing else mattered. His feet pounding as hard as his heart. How could he allow...it just...there was no excuse at all. How could he have overlooked this? All of this? The signs? Where they there or did he just ignore them? He was always good at figuring things out with her, how could he not figure this out?

Turning Hikari, getting his niece to commit such an act. Attack the family. Knowing that May's weakness, taking her children. Knowing she was going to come, despite her weakened state. She wouldn't have enough strength to fight back, with her mind focused on getting her children. Her family. It was easy to just sneak up and take her. His reaction was too...too slow. His mind..even slower. The pain in his chest increased with each thought of failure...with each thought of fear. Each thought of shame...his father gave him this. Passed it onto him. It was his job as brother to do so, to protect her no matter how old. No matter where she went. He swore it. Not just to his father, but also...before her master's grave. Before Neji's. To her.

Taking a sharp right, the ground suddenly shakes and walls tremble violently. He nearly lost his balance if he didn't move quick enough. It was moving...the place the moving. That meant...May!

Her screams...he could hear her screams. He could feel them on the hairs standing on his arms. Pushed him to hurry faster. Her screams...he thought to never hear them again.

Ever.

Everyone did.

Those screams...her screams of pain and torment pierced his heart. That bled tears. She was calling to him, to her brother to come and protect her. Making a sharp right again, felt himself getting closer. He didn't know how knew, but he did. The ground shakes again, this time parts of the cave nearly fall. He evades them sharply. Nothing was going to stop him.

And nothing was going to stop them either, blocking out May's screams only pay attention to the monitors before them. Power levels where high and well. Good. Just to be sure, with hand on the lever push it up a bit more. Increasing May's screams, add more to the power. Despite her weaken state she still had enough to give them what they needed. The modifications years ago where paying off and with Tsunade's 'operation' only made it better. That damn woman thought she healed May, what a joke. She only made it worse. And with nearly everyone here...all whom May cared about would end by her hand and this world.

This damn world!

Growling with a dark snarl thrust the lever to MAX. Smile from ear to ear twistedly at May's curdling screams, turn around to gaze at their beautiful light show, being taken away. The smell of May burning and frying, dark and scaring blisters eating and peeling away at her skin. Tearing her away...apart piece by piece. Layer by layer, her body demanding to twist in agony and pain, forced to just remain unable. She'd die. She'd die! Die like the others. And so will this world! They'd be able to return. It took years, to rebuild...not just themselves but all around them. All of it will burn. There would be not a single trace of what they hated.

It was all feeble. All of them trying to prevent this, board from the scene before them turn back to the monitor switch to outside, see those down there avoid their beam. Some lucky...others not so.

Good.

Their eyes flash with a curling smile at the presence rapidly approaching. Get their eyes ready, quickly form three shadow clones. Turn to face their adversary, quickly jump out the way, though one clone wasn't so luck, they got pushed violently through the wall creating a ripped hole in the wall. On well...it was just a clone.

Landing briefly, move again from their attack. Nearly nicked by their sharp attack. Clearly they where beyond pissed. It was hard not to smile. A smile that only enraged them. Noticing the grip they had on the hilt of their sword charged with lighting. Stand calmly but their dark eyes spoke rage and abyss to them.

"I promise you," Sasuke said coldly, adding more lighting to his blade. "this time I will make sure your all your NINE lives end."

Chuckling darkly at the man's words sneer. "You know, I never liked you. You always left a foul order, that I just made me want to snap your neck every time. I don't understand why my master insisted on listening to you." Raising a hand to their hood, grab a fist full and let it fall. Revealing themselves.

Not a shock to Sasuke, until what he saw. And heard, as their voice changed to a much darker and gruffer one. "But, I promise not to make that mistake again, boy."
