It was getting bigger, the dark purple rift in the sky, each passing second. Shino observed since the moment it started as a flicker, strange small like purplish-golden lighting cracked from the mountain top, shot up and lite it. From there it just kept growing, expanding and it seem if his eyes where correct the energy was coming from the tip of the boney mountain, light struck up every time he blinked and was absorbed into the rift widening it further and further. That wasn't it either, the effects that came with it where terrain, the ground shook violently each time and he noticed...to his horror and surprise the lighting would strike out and once it hit someone they'd become soulless and empty. If he didn't remain nimble he'd become a husk just the same, that thing...whatever it was, was siphoning the life right from anyone. The battlefield was more dangerous and cautious now than before, each time he moved had to only seconds to analyze everything.

So far the energy source was coming from the mountain, the rift was opening something. What it was, was yet to be seen but the more it grew he started to see it..squinting his eyes just a bit he managed to make out just a few things. Buildings, high rise buildings...of different kinds, moving vehicles on four wheels that honked and blared, people..just regular people walking about the streets. And some...large green colored metal lady.

He wasn't sure what to make of this place or what it was, just that it was clear the wider it rift became, it was another world. It had to be, how else could it explain the strangeness of it. The only good thing it seem the people of that world hadn't noticed.

Jumping out the way again, lightening almost struck him, Shino raced across the grounds needing to find cover of some sort. Anything really, others it seem to have noticed and took up the same idea he had and searched for cover while still fighting off endless swarm of clones. This enemy's defenses was strong, Shino had to admit it seem as though they covered themselves well. The ground shook violently again, caused a few to lose their balance and their lives. There was something emerging, Shino could feel it. The ground trembled violently again.

This time the quakes caused the ground to split deep, some became swallowed up. Moving quickly, Shino narrowly dodged the same faith. Remaining as calm as he could, wanted to know what was taking so long. Ino had announced to everyone that she found Hikari and recused the girl. Even Katio had sent the signal the other children where safe and en route rendezvous point. Where a group awaited to whisk them back to the village. Everything seem to be wrapping up, yet for some reason Shino felt it actually wasn't.

Why?

Because there was no sign of either Kage, their team and most importantly May. There was no sign of either, thinking of May there was something strangely familiar about that energy, the color of it. A certain color that Shino was sure belonged to...May, his heart froze for a moment.

"May," he gasped to himself, dodging another lightening strike. The rift was expanding now half the size it was before. From the howling winds it was producing Shino was sure for a moment he heard May's screams ripping through. He stopped for a moment to listen, taking cover, focused on the winds.

Yes, he heard them...faintly but they where there. Her screams were undistinguishable, he could never forget them. They branded themselves in his memory just like the others from what they saw years ago in her memories. Screams she was forced to hold in and endure the pain and endless torture that erupted later...and what a eruption it was.

Those screams, they were tortured screams meaning only one thing. She enduring something excruciating and it was connected to the anomaly that was happening. A part of him wanted to go and aid the others but knew he had to stay back and defend the defenses outside. So, when the others came they could easily make end of it and rush back. That was a plan...sort of.

Still remaining calm Shino focused his mind back and jumped back in. Using his bugs managed to take out a few clones that came, one narrowly managed to graze him just barely with their...claws?

"What?" Shino realized, creating distance, was that a claw? He recalled, a striped claw? Going through his mind quickly, through his memory there was only one person he knew that had a striped hand, claw. Shocked him! He was sure...he was sure that..they were gone. Yet, here it was in his face evidence that wasn't the case.

Dodging another attack, send a swarm of bugs at the attacker. Ending them. Another came from behind, struck Shino. Realized it was a clone. Shino came behind from the side and encased the attacking clone in a dark swarm. Dispelling them.

Studying the battle for a moment, realized they've gotten stronger than last time. There was also something else, the way in which they attacked. Shino wasn't sure it was more a hunch. Pushing off he managed to save a comrade just in time. Tackling them out the way, the moment he did a shadow rushed over him like fire and delivered a swift and gruesome strike at the clones throat. It was good this was a clone, because if it was a person a move like that would have been a horrible way to go.

Gripping a kunai both firmly and light between the fingers like a quill, standing before Shino and the person he saved with eyes raging with fire and sharp as steel, and a stance that radiated not a single ounce of remorse.

Natsuki.

Shino had almost forgotten she was here, but here she was with a driven focus that cut like blade. She had a few marks on her that clearly she ignored, her attention was more tighten with anger than anything. All she saw was the target that ignited her chakra, it wasn't seen of course but Shino knew it was there.

Glancing quickly at Shino and seeing he was fine and the other Natsuki gave a nod with her eyes and took off in a flash. With a single kunai as her choice of weapon, held up a single hand sign, slide her ANBU snake mask over the face and produced two clones. Each one holding a kunai, with a single gesture they nod and separate. Locking onto an enemy, Natsuki boost her speed with chakra. Blitz across the ground like an arrow, gripped her weapon charged it with lightening. Took a sharp breath, hurled it at high speed. Formed a single hand sign ignited her jutsu.

"Raiden's Strike!"

The kunai struck and sent a violent electric shock through her enemy disintegrating them back into smoke, in one swipe she grabbed the weapon and without looking hurled it again at another. Striking them, quickly making two hand signs her left hand turned burn red, took off with that hand outstretched at another clone. They saw her coming and rushed her, their claw swiped forward sharply. Natsuki thrusted her right hand forward to their chest, the minute it touched burned straight hole through leaving nothing but a hollow opening. The clone itself stood there...stunned before poofing away.

Natsuki stared at her hand for a moment. "To bad," her voice cold. Grunted. "it's not blood."

Taking out another kunai, take a step, the ground shook violently. This time longer than before, she jumped out the way onto something solid for a moment. Something was trying to come out, the crevices now deeper and thicker than before. She wasn't sure how deep down it went, only the earth was tearing away in agony. The ground shook again, violently than the last few times it lasted longer. She barely managed to get her footing, the ground beneath her either broke, crumbled or spit up. This wasn't good. Thinking quickly, she managed to get her footing well. Rushed away, to be pushed by the whipping winds created from the rift now nearly four times its size.

"What the hell?" she hissed under her breath. Dodging a strike of lightening. Managed to dive and save someone from the unreturnable fate. "Asshole!"She snapped. Pulling them by the collar. "Now isn't the time to stand there like a idiot! Move!"

With one motion she threw them across the way, separating them both before lightening almost struck them. She knew they needed to get away from here, it was clearly a losing battle right now. Her thoughts where in agreement with a few others. With so many to move, there was only one choice. Bringing her thumb up, bite the tip of enough for some blood to come out. Slammed her hand down on the ground. A puff of white smoke came after the summoning circle, emerged Pakkun and the pack.

The latter who wasn't happy, looking around. Grunted. "What did you get yourself into now?" The pug clipped.

Ignoring his scolding, Natsuki pointed. "I need all of you to fetch." She pointed to the battlefield, all the dogs heads turned to see. See the destruction happening. She continued. "Get everyone out here as quickly as you can! Somethings bre-"

"Something big is coming out," Pakkun cut her off, turning down to ground. Picking up a distance whirling growing closer and closer. He felt the vibrations. "move!" He shouted.

On his command the dogs move, Natsuki moved too and seconds after something big, round...metal and electrical burst out from the ground and mountain. Electrical currents crackled around it...this giant metal spherical...tank? Natsuki wasn't sure what she and the others were looking at, but quite a few knew. The size of the thing cast a enormous shadow across nearly every inch of the land. Those running or who managed to escape stopped and turned to the...strange machine that hoovered over them and beneath the tear across the sky. That looked like someone took a blade and slashed the sky open.

Mouths dropped. Eyes widen at the sight. Stun in confusion.

From where Katio and Kankuro where with the rendezvous, felt the cold shadow cast over. Turn and see it. It was a like some dark eclipse, Kankuro felt his heart drop.

"N-No...No way.."the words fell out his mouth.

Kaito looked to him saw the color drained from his face. Whatever this thing was clearly Kankuro knew and it spoked him. Wanting to know, Kaito knew it would have to wait, right now it was getting the children far from here as possible.

"Kankuro," he called. "Kankuro! Come on!" He shook him by the shoulder. "We have to get the Yoshi and the others out of here."

The mention of he children snapped Kankuro back. "Y-Yeah...c-come on." He turned to the small group, pointed to the puppet on his back. "The kids are in here. Three of them, we've got to get as far away from here as possible. Remember the formation. Now, lets go!" he took off with Kaito right behind and the small squad.

They sped across the ground without looking back, but Kankuro wanted too. A part of him wanted to stop and turn back, he couldn't believe it...out of all the things that he saw...this...this was just...he bite down. If they managed to build what he and the others saw from May's memory than that large tear in the sky had to be...if that what it was then...the only way they could manage to do something like that was...

"Oh no!" his blood ran cold realizing it all. Clenched his fist.

"...May."

The name came out his mouth the same time as Naruto, he stood at the tear away part of the mountain, he didn't make it on time to get to the machinal sphere. His eyes watched in horror the device that hoovered a few feet before him and over the others. The thing was huge, twice the size from what he remembered. Even then from what he could recall...from May's memories she and her friends just barely managed to take it down and destroy it. Though it was more from the inside and with luck...now...now with it newly rebuilt, better than before...

Naruto remained calm and held the lump he wanted to swallow in his throat back. Now wasn't the time to think like that...this thing was capable of being a danger not just to this world but also...her home, and May herself. His gut was right, he knew something happening to May. In order for that thing..to work. It needed a power source that was generator and...of course...disgusted and anger all at once. Standing here wasn't going to do anything.

Remembering the promise he made Splinter, donned his Karama chakra mode, and jumped off. Straight at the Technodrone.
