I do not own Transformers. I only own Tiffani and Lexi.
Story Start
"It's too soon for her to be handling weapons and training," Ratchet snapped at Ironhide.
Everyone was in the Autobot bunker. Tiffani was enjoying a conversation with Sideswipe and Bumblebee about the training with guns she did with Ironhide today. While everyone else was listening to Ratchet scold Ironhide for letting the healing femme use a weapon. Lexi was sitting on Optimus' foot with little Annabelle. The two were eating popcorn as they watched the mechs fuss with each other.
"Hey Ratchet, can I get a cannon like you guys have?" Tiffani shouted and the fussing got even worse. She smirked at her friend, who rolled her eyes.
"You're so bad," Sideswipe said and gently poked her shoulder.
"Thank you, thank you," Tiffani said with a little bow even though it pinched her side a bit.
"She has to be able to protect herself if I'm not able to get there in time again," Ironhide roared and everything stopped. Ironhide looked from everyone before stopping on Tiffani's face, she wasn't angry or disappointed in him. She was just giving him a soft look. He let out a big puff of air and stormed out of the bunker.
"Too far, Ratchet," Sideswipe said and his brother Sunstreaker gave a small nod.
"I'll be back," Tiffani said and rushed out of the room to follow Ironhide.
Tiffani walked around for a while until she finally found Ironhide. He was standing in a deserted part of the base. She frowned when she watched him use his cannon to shoot some old stacks of boxes into the land of no return. She felt her jaw drop when she heard him say, "I can't lose her." She stood there for a minute and processed what he just said while Ironhide fired some more shots at targets.
"Ironhide," she called out and he froze. His cannon transformed back into a hand. She walked up towards him and gently leaned against his left leg. "I'm right here, not going anywhere," she said and frowned when he let out a big gust of air. She yelped when he picked her up in his hand and brought her to his cheek. She felt her cheeks heat up a bit as she rested against his cheek by his lips.
"Tiffani, you're in my spark, I can't lose you," he whispered and she gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Well if spark means heart then you're in my spark too Ironhide," she said softly and ran a hand over his cheek.
"Ratchet, she and Lexi both need to be trained just in case they ever need to protect themselves again without one of us around," Optimus finally cut in stopping the fussing of Ratchet.
Ratchet sighed and walked off talking about making a training regimen for the girls. He wanted to make it so he knows that the girls do not push or injure themselves.
Optimus looked down at his feet where Lexi and little Annabelle were sitting. "Lexi, may I speak with you?" he asked and Lexi looked up at him.
"Sure," she said and helped Annabelle down from Optimus' foot. She made sure to watch Annabelle walk over to Will, who had entered the bunker after Tiffani and Ironhide left, before she walked with Optimus outside. "I guess he wanted some privacy," she thought as they stopped a good distance away from the bunker. She didn't see Ironhide or Tiffani anywhere, so he must have stormed further off.
"So what did you want to talk about?" Lexi questioned as Optimus glanced up at the night sky before looking down at her. She felt her heart jump in her chest at the softness in his blue eyes.
"How can you and your friend be so comfortable around us?" he questioned. "All the other humans still look at us cautiously," he continued.
"Well in my life so far, I've met more horrible humans than I have Autobots. Plus I always feel safe around you, I mean I feel safe around the Autobots," Lexi said and rushed to say the last part after admitting that she feels safe around Optimus. She knew her face had turned red.
His deep chuckle made her blush more. "Thank you," he said and soon his hologram human form was standing in front of her. "Lexi, may I get to know you better during your time here?" he asked and she knew her heart was trying to make an escape from her rib cage.
"I would like that Optimus," she said softly and shyly looked into his eyes.
"Thank you, I'm honored," he said and motioned for her to sit back on his foot so she would stay warm. The two spent the next few hours just enjoying the night sky and speaking to each other. Lexi was starting to fall for Optimus, even though she never imagined having feelings for an alien mech.
Lexi and Tiffani ended up going to bed at different times that night, but the next morning was when they couldn't wait to speak to each other about their nights. Tiffani and Lexi sat up in bed, looked at each other, and immediately screamed in joy. They boy rushed to tell each other what happened between the mechs they were having feelings for. Tiffani was so happy for Lexi because she had seen the glances between Optimus and Lexi. She had also read some of the text messages they shared without Lexi knowing.
Lexi was surprised that Ironhide ahd such a heartfelt moment with Tiffani, but it was really sweet. Knowing that her friend liked an Autobot too helped her justify that it was totally fine for her to have feelings for Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots.
"So should I tell Annabelle to plan a wedding for you and Optimus Prime? Or do you want to get married as a double ceremony with me and Ironhide?" Tiffani asked and laughed when Lexi threw her pillow at her.
