Story Start

After Ratchet created the training regimen, both of the girls were out at the shooting ranges with weapons that Ironhide made that Ratchet approved. Lexi was a bit nervous about using the cannon type gun that Ironhide made, but Tiffani was excited. Optimus was going to help Ironhide train the girls today, so he could spend some time with Lexi.

"Tiffani, do not fire that thing until I tell you to," Ironhide said and looked down at Tiffani, who was eyeing up one of the targets.

"I can handle it," Tiffani replied and waved her hand to Ironhide.

"Oh, are you sure you can handle what I give you?" Ironhide said with a smirk. His smirk grew bigger when she snapped her head up to look at him with her jaw dropped.

"He just flirted with me," she thought in shock and then she had her own little smirk appear. "Only one way to find out," she responded with a wink. She chuckled when Ironhide shook his head but he was smiling at her now.

Lexi and Optimus looked from Ironhide and Tiffani to each other. They both laughed a bit at their friends. Lexi yelped and jumped closer to Optimus though when a shot rang through the air. She shook her head when she heard Ironhide yelling at Tiffani, who fired the cannon gun without his permission.

Training was going well for the two friends. Sarah was brought to some of the training too because Will felt better about her knowing some of the training than none. Living at the bunker was weird for Sarah, but Annabelle loved being around all the Autobots. Tiffani and Lexi were also having a blast living among the Autobots, especially their two favorites.

Unfortunately that was soon coming to an end because Will had found new houses for both his family and Tiffani and Lexi. He was lucky enough to find two houses side by side in another remote location like his old house. Ironhide would be coming back with them for his family's guardian and Sideswipe would be Tiffani and Lexi's guardian. Ironhide was not too pleased about Sideswipe being their guardian, but Sideswipe insisted he be their guardian. He and Tiffani had some pranks planned for Ironhide. Little Annabelle was sad to leave the other Autobots. She and Bumblebee had become best friends.

Tiffani had even started getting Sunstreaker to talk to her, since she was always with Sideswipe if she wasn't with Ironhide or Lexi. He promised to visit some since he wanted to keep tabs on his twin brother.

The new houses were pretty simple, but at least it was somewhere to live away from the base. Tiffani and Lexi were thankful that they had home owners insurance and of course the government wanting them to keep their mouths closed were also generous about furnishing their new home. Sideswipe and Ironhide were taking turns making rounds of the area to survey if there was any danger.

Tiffani was currently putting things in order with her new room upstairs while Lexi was putting the kitchen together. She glanced out the window and smiled when she saw Ironhide and Sideswipe driving back up the driveway that the two houses shared. Will did that on purpose so the houses would be closer and easier to access for Ironhide and Sideswipe. They wanted to be able to keep an eye on the Lennox family and the two women. Ironhide could not deal with not being there for Tiffani again. He almost lost her, and she had found a place in his spark.

Setting up the new houses took a good week but both households felt better when it was done. Tiffani and Lexi were currently in the back yard of the Lennox house. Lexi and Sarah were sitting in the shade under a really big tree in the backyard. Will had built some benches to sit under the tree. Tiffani was chasing Annabella around the yard as they played tag. Ironhide slowly drove around the house to the backyard. It was Sideswipe's turn to drive around the area, so he wanted to see what his charges were doing since Will was back at base.

Ironhide chuckled when he saw Tiffani and Annabelle taking turns chasing each other. She was one of the only adults to be able to keep up with the young girl's energy level. Ironhide felt his spark heat up when Tiffani smiled at the sight of him, and soon both she and Annabelle were running towards his truck form. "Ironhide," Annabelle shouted in glee as she raced towards her favorite Autobot.

Ironhide let out a chuckle through his radio as he lowered his tailgate so Tiffani could set Annabelle up there.

"Hey Sexy, I've missed you," Tiffani said softly as she gave his passenger side door a pat, and then she went back to sit on the tailgate by Annabelle.

Lexi spent the day enjoying conversations with Sarah and texting Optimus Prime. He was a bit of a poet whenever he would text her. She felt really special that he took such time with his words when messaging her.

Lexi went home later without Tiffani, since she refused to leave Ironhide's tailgate. Annabelle and Sarah were in the house going to sleep. However, Tiffani was enjoying star gazing while enjoying being with Ironhide.

"Tiffani," he said after they had been like that for ten minutes.

"Hmm," she said and sat up on the tailgate.

"It's too cold out there, get in here," Ironhide said and his driver door opened.

Tiffani smiled and jumped off the tailgate. She rushed over to the driver side and happily got in the warm truck. She sighed in relief when she sat in the heated seat. She had no idea she had gotten so chilly. "Thanks Ironhide, I'm happy you're here and not on base," she said softly and gave the steering wheel a chaste kiss.

"Me too, just get some sleep," he said and he drove back to the front of the house. He wanted to be able to protect the house, but he could also enjoy taking care of Tiffani.
