I do not own Transformers. I only own Tiffani and Lexi.

Story Start

Lexi and Optimus found a more isolated part of base so they could enjoy each other's company without a lot of people on base staring at them or other Autobots. They were having nice conversations like they normally did, but Lexi could tell that something was bothering Optimus.

"Optimus, is something troubling you?" Lexi asked after they were in silence for a few minutes.

Optimus sighed and brought Lexi closer to his face while he was holding her in his palm. "Lexi, I have something important to talk to you about, but I want you to know that there is no pressure on your part. I just cannot hide this information and my feelings from you anymore," Optimus said and now Lexi's heart was racing in her chest.

"Right, no pressure, got it," Lexi stuttered when Optimus was waiting for her to say something.

"Autobots have a spark instead of a heart like humans do. Our spark is more than an organ that keeps us alive. It is our life force, our very soul, and each Autobot spark has a spark mate. The first time I saw you, I felt my spark jump. Every time since then, I have wanted to be near you and not let you out of my sight. I do not mean to frighten you because these feelings are intense for each Autobot when they find their spark mate," Optimus explained. He looked cautiously at Lexi, who was absorbing everything he was saying with a light pink tint to her cheeks.

"Optimus, are you saying that I'm your spark mate, even though I'm human?" Lexi asked and she knew that the blush on her cheeks was getting more vibrant red.

"Yes Lexi, you are my spark mate," Optimus replied. His eyes had such a soft look in them.

Optimus waited patiently but nervously while Lexi looked from him and away as she processed everything. "But I'm human, why would he be ok with us being spark mates?" were the thoughts running through Lexi's mind.

As if almost sensing her thoughts, Optimus hurried to soothe them. "Lexi, you being a human does not bother me. Spark mates are meant for each other because our souls or sparks match with each other. I only want whatever relationship you are willing for us to have. Whether we be friends or be in love," Optimus said and that was it, Lexi was done for.

"I love you too," she yelled before she stop herself. She wished she had been so sweet like Optimus, but she was so excited and shocked that Optimus had such feelings for her.

"I love you, Lexi, and thank you," Optimus said and he smiled when Lexi leaned up against his cheek. The two were once again in silence, but it was a soothing time after they professed their feelings for each other.

However, Lexi did have thoughts about if Ironhide and Tiffani were spark mates. She also wanted to know if Ironhide would ever tell Tiffani, and if so how it would go for her friend and the grumpy mech.

Tiffani had some great laughs with Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, but she was ready to go spend some time with her favorite mech. She waved goodbye to the twins and left the area they had been hanging out in. She was surprised that it did not take long to find Ironhide, who was walking lost in thought.

"Hey sexy, what are you concentrating so hard on?" Tiffani shouted up to Ironhide, who jumped a bit after being surprised from his thoughts.

"Femme," Ironhide said in a gruff, kind of stressed voice. He sighed though when she raised an eyebrow at him. "Tiffani, I need to talk to you," he said and he relaxed a bit when her eyebrow went back down.

"Ok, well pick me up and let's go talk," she said good-naturedly even though she was really curious about what was bothering Ironhide. "I don't like seeing him all stressed out unless I'm the one stressing him out," she thought while hopping onto his palm after he lowered it down in front of her.

Ironhide took them to his private quarters on base. A few months back the Autobots and humans worked it out that the Autobots would get their own private quarters. It was a nice change from everyone sleeping in alt form in a large hanger.

"Oh cool, is this your room?" Tiffani asked while looking at the large metal surfaces. One was a desk and chair. Another metal surface had to be a bed. Ironhide sat down on the bed and held his palm in front of his face so he and Tiffani could be eye to eye with each other. "What's bothering you?" she asked softly. She had never seen Ironhide this stressed.

"Tiffani, how do you feel about me?" he asked and pinned her with a serious stare.

Tiffani froze and decided she had to be completely honest since he was staring her down so seriously. "Well Ironhide, I'm falling in love with you, big guy," she said seriously back so he wouldn't question if she was just playing around with him.

Ironhide seemed shocked and then happy and then even more stressed. "Tiffani, I don't know how to explain this. I'm not good with words. I'm good with fighting, but not speaking. That's Optimus' thing. You might not believe me since you're human and I'm an Autobot, but we belong together. We're supposed to be together for life," Ironhide rushed to say.

Tiffani took a minute to think about what he said and she was over the moon. "You mean we're soul mates?" she asked excitedly.

"It's actually called spark mates, but yes. Does that bother you?" Ironhide asked not knowing how to take Tiffani's excitement. He was hopeful but still worried. What would this woman want with an old battle-worn warrior?

"Ironhide, please bring your face closer," Tiffani said sweetly. She hid her chuckle when she saw him close his eyes as if expecting something negative like a slap. She stood on her tip-toes and kissed him on the lips. It was weird since his lips were huge, but she didn't care. She smiled and pulled away to see him staring at her in shock. "I'm so happy to be your spark mate," she said and she smiled even more when he grinned back at her.

"Well good, I wasn't going to let you get away from me anyway," Ironhide said with a bit of hot air escaping his vents.
