Story Start

After the couples shared their confessions of love, Optimus took Lexi back to her quarters that she shared with Tiffani. Lexi gave him a kiss on the cheek before she was set down and she entered the living quarters. Optimus passed Ironhide, who was holding Tiffani in his palm. He wished them a good night before being surprised to hear Ironhide comm him to talk after he dropped Tiffani off. Optimus could only guess it was about confessing to Tiffani. It would be nice to talk to his old friend about his confession to Lexi.

"Good night," Tiffani said sweetly after giving Ironhide another kiss on the lips. She could only guess he was blushing when a bit of hot air escaped his vents. She just gave him a big smile as he wished her good night and set her down. She waved and entered the living quarters. She shut the door behind her, motioned for Lexi to wait, since she was listening to Ironhide walk away. As soon as she didn't hear his steps anymore, both women looked at each other and screamed.

Lexi raced forward and pulled Tiffani into a hug. Both girls started talking at the same time before laughing. Lexi went first and Tiffani just cooed the whole time. Tiffani went last and Lexi was happy but surprised to hear that Tiffani kissed Ironhide on the lips. "You go girl," she cheered and both girls laughed.

"I'm so happy," Lexi said as she lied back on her bed.

"Me too," Tiffani replied.

The girls shared another smile before going to sleep.

The next day the girls had to say goodbye to Ironhide and Optimus at the base. Apparently they had a mission to go on later today so they would not have time to take them home. Bumblebee drove the two women home. They were greeted by Sarah and Annabelle, who were sitting on the front porch of their home. Greetings were exchanged and soon Sarah had got the stories out of the girls about the confessions with Optimus and Ironhide. Little Annabelle was over the moon with the news that she would be planning two weddings, which made the women laugh.

"Well how about tomorrow we go to town and get some shopping done? We haven't really explored the area yet," Sarah suggested, which was quickly agreed upon since Tiffani and Lexi's refrigerator was getting bare.

The next day, Tiffani, Lexi, Sarah, and Annabelle piled into Sarah's minivan. All of the Autobots were currently on base or on missions, but the girls felt confident going into town with no guard since this was a new area. They didn't think any Decepticons would be in this area since they had moved so secretly.

The little downtown area was adorable with mom and pop restaurants. The small toy store was Annabelle's favorite. The last stop was going to be the grocery store after the girls finished eating at the local Italian restaurant. Tiffani had sent Ironhide a text earlier but he had not responded. She could only guess the mission was keeping him busy.

Lexi wanted to text Optimus but she didn't want to bother him if he is still on the secret mission. Just because the girls know about the Autobots and Decepticons does not mean they are privy to missions the Autobots do. She looked away from her phone and glanced out the window by their table. She was about to turn away but did a double take. A large silver truck was sitting in the parking lot. It was such a big truck that it looked out of place.

"Tiffani, look at that truck," she said quietly to her friend. She then told Sarah to look but not too loud. She didn't want to worry Annabelle, who was coloring a picture that the waitress had given her with a few crayons.

"Lexi, Sarah, we need to get out of here now," Tiffani whispered as she kept staring at the truck. Her intuition was giving her very bad vibes about the truck. Her intuition had not steered her wrong yet.

"But Annabelle," Sarah whispered back.

"No one is going to like this idea, but me and Lexi will get in the van and lead him away. I want you and Annabelle to go hide in the restaurant bathroom and call Will. Or call anyone on base until they answer, even the Autobots. Just do not leave this building," Tiffani said and Lexi put her hands on her face.

"She's right, we have to do this. You have to protect Annabelle," Lexi agreed and strengthened her resolve.

"But you guys," Sarah started before looking at her little girl. "Please be careful," she whispered and grabbed her friends' hands before picking up Annabelle and rushing to the bathroom.

Lexi picked up the keys and nodded at Tiffani. They left the restaurant after leaving money on the table to cover the meal. The two women walked as calmly and as normally as they could to Sarah's minivan. Tiffani got in the passenger seat and Lexi got in the driver seat. As soon as she cranked the minivan, the large truck also came to life. "You ready?" Lexi asked her friend.

"As I can be," Tiffani said and pulled her handgun that Ironhide had made for her out of her purse. She carried it everywhere after the last Decepticon incident. She also felt better having a weapon that could inflict some damage to a Decepticon.

Lexi drove the car out of the restaurant parking lot and the truck followed them.
