Summary: Luz finally manages to get a house of her own, little does she know... it's haunted... by a really cute ghost.

Luz put the last box down in her new house. She got it really cheap for some reason. Luz walked to her bed and laid on it. After a long day of unpacking, she wanted nothing more than to get a good night's sleep in her new house. Luz laid down and pulled the blanket over her. She closed her eyes and began to sleep... then the clock fell off the wall. Luz woke up and looked at the broken clock. She got out of bed and looked at it.

"Damn faulty nails." Luz mumbled, "I'll deal with that tomorrow."

Luz went back to sleep, when the door slowly opened. She looked at the door before it violently slammed shut.

"Oh, this isn't normal." Luz said.

The rest of the night wasn't very eventful, but it took a while before Luz got back to sleep. She walked down the steps and sat at the table, very tired.

"I'm so glad I'm self-employed." Luz said, when she noticed the chair opposite of her move, "Whatever you are, can you wait until after breakfast before you haunt me?"

Nothing seemed to happen for a couple of minutes.

"Thank you." Luz said, as she turned on the stove.

After breakfast, Luz was spending the morning cleaning up the boxes from her move. She planned on bringing them down to the basement, but for some reason, the door wouldn't move.

"Huh, that's weird, the basement isn't supposed to have a lock." Luz said, "Guess I'll have to put the boxes in the attic."

Luz went upstairs and pulled the ladder down. She climbed the ladder, with the boxes in hand, and placed them in the attic. After placing them down, she went back to the ladder, when she noticed a knife. This wasn't some small box cutter; this was a butcher's knife. She picked it up and looked at it.

"Why is this up here?" She asked aloud.

Luz didn't have much time to think about it, when whatever was here with her knocked the boxes over violently. Luz quickly put the knife down and put her hands up.

"Okay, I get it, you don't like that knife." Luz said, "I'm going back downstairs, I didn't mean to anger you."

Luz went down the ladder and closed the hatch to the attic. In the attic, a girl in her twenties manifested. She wore a black shirt dress, red leggings, black shoes, had purple hair and piercings, and most importantly, her body was translucent, with a large knife wound in her head with blood still visible on her skin. She walked over to the knife and looked at it. She closed her eyes and cried blood.

"Why couldn't they have just accepted me?" She asked.

Downstairs, Luz heard crying coming from the attic, but knew that whatever was here, didn't want her up there. She sat in living room couch and fiddled with her thumbs.

"I don't know who you are, I have a good idea on what you are, but I don't know who." Luz said, "But... if you want to show yourself and tell me what's upsetting you, I will do whatever it takes to help."

Luz doesn't know how long she was on the couch, but she knows that when she woke up, the girl was sitting on the edge of it. Luz wasn't like most people, she isn't really scared by supernatural beings, so she wasn't really that afraid of her, a little startled by her sudden presence, but not afraid. Luz sat up and looked at her.

"So, you're the one that's haunting this place?" Luz asked.

The girl nodded.

"Can I know your name?"

"My name... is Amity. Amity... Blight."

"Wait, you mean the Amity Blight was went missing like twenty years ago?" Luz asked.

"Yep." Amity said, "Except it wasn't that I went missing, I was murdered."

"Do you... need to find your murderer?"

Amity looked at her.

"No, I don't!" Amity said, "I know exactly who did it, because they spent an hour beating me before they killed me!"

"Who was it?"

"It... was my fucking parents!" Amity said, "They just couldn't stand having a gay daughter and decided to 'Teach me a lesson' by beating me and slamming a meat clever on my fucking head!"

"So... that's what the knife was?"

Amity nodded.

"They... they hid it because the weather would clear the prints from it." Amity said, "That's also why you can't open the door to the basement."

"Why? What's down there?"

Amity looked at the ground.

"... My body." Amity said, "They removed the door and threw me down the steps, that's where they murdered me. After wards, they screwed thick wooden boards on the door frame and put the door back on, making it seem like nothing was wrong."

Amity looked like she was about to cry and Luz moved over. Luz hugged the ghost, which surprised Amity.

"Y-y-you... you can touch me?"

"Yeah, truth is... I've always been able to touch and talk with ghosts." Luz said, "Now dry those tears and just listen to my voice."

"I... I don't want to be alone anymore." Amity said.

"You won't, I'm here from now on. You won't be alone anymore." Luz said, "I'm here for you."

'Well, at least I know why the house was so cheap.' Luz thought.
