Amity pov:
When I woke up this morning for school I did not expect my day to go how it has so far today. I expected to walk to Hexside with Luz as usual. I did not expect to be comforted with a hug by my former mentor who apparently thinks of me as a daughter. I wish I was her daughter then she could take me away from my abusive parents. She has been more of a mom to me then my own mother. Would she want to adopt me if she found out that they physically abuse me? Would Lilith like to be my mom? I will just have to tell her about it.
Lilith released Amity from the hug after a few minutes. She put her right hand on Amity's shoulder. She immediately removed it from when she felt Amity flinch at the contact. "Amity what is wrong? Are you hurt dearest?"
Amity let out a sigh and pulled off her cowl to reveal an angry looking black and purple bruise on her collarbone. The bruise is in the shape of a handprint.
Lilith was the first to react. She lead Amity over to the couch and told Luz and Eda to get the healing glyphs and healing potions so she could check on Amity and talk to her alone for a few minutes. "Amity who did this to you?"
Amity looked Lilith in the eyes and let out a sigh.
"It was my parents. They have been physically abusing me since I was six. This time it was because they found out I am friends with Luz, Gus and Willow."
Lilith knew Alador and Odalia were cruel in their Hexside days but she did not know they would stoop this low. "Amity I'm so sorry I should have realized when I was your mentor what they were doing to you. I should have seen the red flag during our lessons. I promise that I will be the mentor you deserve. If you don't want me to be your mentor again then at the very least I promise to be here for you.
Amity "Thank you Lilith and of course I want to be your apprentice again. I loved it when you were my teacher. It's not your fault for not knowing what Odalia and Alador did to me. I made sure I hid it from you because I didn't want to show weakness."
Lilith gently grabbed Amity's hand and gave it a squeeze. "Amity telling someone you are being hurt is not weakness. It is a brave thing to do and takes courage to admit it."
Eda and luz walked back into the living room with the healing glyphs and potions. Eda handed Lilith the potions and glyphs.
Luz "Amity I'm sorry sorry they did this to you. No one deserves to be treated like that."
Eda "Amity you're welcome to stay here as long as you need to or you could stay with Lilith at our parents house."
Amity "Thank you Eda for the offer but I would like to stay with Lilith for now. Luz I will come visit you tomorrow my awesome girlfriend I'm lucky to have you."
Lilith "Amity are there any other spots that have bruises or cuts? Are your parents hurting the twins as well?"
Amity "No my parents only hit me since I am the prodigy but the twins moved out yesterday and got an apartment. There are bruises on my chest and stomach as well. They're not as bad as the one on my collarbone."
Eda "Oh boots I'm so sorry you had to go through that."
Luz "I'm so sorry my awesome girlfriend. We are all here for you."
Lilith "Amity let's go up to the bathroom so you can take your shirt off and I can treat your injuries."
Lilith and Amity went upstairs to the bathroom and Amity lifted her shirt off for Lilith to treat the injuries. Lilith and gasped when she saw cuts and bruises on her stomach and chest. She applied a couple of healing glyphs to two Amity's stomach and wiped the healing potion on her stomach and chest.
She was going to wait to apply the potion and glyphs to her collarbone where her worst bruise was after she put her shirt back on so she did not irritate the bruise more then it already was. "Amity I need to take some photos for evidence so I can show the judge. She took a few pictures of the injuries. I have one last question for you and I want you to know that no matter what your answer is I will be here for you. Dearest would you like to become my daughter and a Clawthorne?"
Amity's eyes lit up with shock and Hope. Her wish was coming true she was going to be Lilith's daughter and a Clawthorne. "Yes! Absolutely yes I would love to be your daughter."
Lilith "I'm so happy you want to be my daughter. Now let's finish treating your injuries so you can rest before we leave for my parents house. They will be excited to know that they have two granddaughters now since Eda adopted Luz yesterday and she became a Clawthorne as well."
As Lilith was treating Amity's collarbone she looked over her shoulder and noticed that she had a giant bruise on her back. "Amity why didn't you tell me you had a bruise on your back?"
Amity "It's almost healed so I didn't say anything because of that."
Lilith called for Eda and told her to wipe some of the healing potion on Amity's back.
As Eda was wiping the potion on Amity was flinching every time she barely touched her back. Amity leaned forward and hugged Lilith while she whimpered in pain. She started crying and gripped tightly onto the back of Lilith's dress when Eda wiped the potion on.
Amity whimpered in pain again. "Mommy it hurts so much." She said as she buried her head and Lilith chest.
Lilith hated seeing her daughter in so much pain. She ran her hands through Amity's hair and rubbed her back while holding her. "I know it does my little raven chick. Aunt Eda is almost done then afterwards we will spend time with Luz, King, Hooty and Eda before we have dinner and head to your grandparents house."
Eda finished wiping the potion and close the bottle up. "Welcome to the family Amity I'm glad my sister has a kid of her own now and I get a niece."
The three of them walk downstairs and told luz, King and Hooty about Amity becoming a Clawthorne. Luz and King were happy they were getting a cousin and Hooty was just happy in general about it. The six of them watched a movie for next 2 hours and ate dinner when the movie finished at five o'clock.
Lilith and Amity made their way to Lilith's parents house. When they arrived the two of them told Dell and Gwen the news they were happy to have a third grandchild.
Gwen "Oh sweet flee I'm so happy for you. Your dream of being a mother has finally come true."
Dell stepped forward and pulled Lilith and Amity into a hug. "I'm so happy and proud of you Lilith. You will be a great mom to her. In fact you already are a great mom to her because I can see the potion that is wiped on the bruise hiding under her cowl."
Lilith noticed how Amity flinched at the mention of the bruise and how she quickly tried to fix the cowl that had slipped. She held her hand out for her to grab for comfort but she moved to quickly and caused Amity to jump back. Lilith slowly held her arms out in front of her motion forward Amity to step into them.
Amity hesitantly stepped forward into Lilith's embrace and started crying into her shoulder. "I'm sorry mom I didn't mean to do that I was just caught off guard."
Lilith rubbed circles on Amity's back as she held her. "Shh dearest it is alright it's not your fault. I should have moved slower. I've got you and I won't let anyone hurt you again."
Amity pulled away from Lilith and held her hand as they walked into the house.
After the the excitement died down a few hours later at 10pm Lilith took Amity to Eda's old room and helped her settle in the bed.
As Lilith was turning to walk away she felt Amity grab her wrist. "You want me to stay with you?"Amity nodded her head yes and made room on the bed for Lilith. Lilith got in the bed and pulled her daughter into her arms and placed a kiss on her forehead.
Amity in response to the action flinched at first. She was not use to such a comforting action. She then snuggled under her mom's chin. "Goodnight mom I love you."
Lilith felt her heart flutter at hearing that. She is a mom now to a brave girl. "I love you so much dearest goodnight sleep well my raven chick. Now let's go to bed since tomorrow is Friday you still have school. I will get the adoption and name change papers tomorrow."
