[Thoughts]

(Headmaster Office)

Fred and George entered their headmaster's office and sat down. Since they hadn't done a prank in awhile they had no idea what they were in trouble for. The headmaster was sitting at his desk looking his age.

"You wanted to see us sir?" Fred asked in confusion.

"Yes I did. Are you still in contact with Harry and his family?" He asked.

"Yes."

"Good. I was hoping you could give them these letters. I...I wanted to apologize to all of them. I would be grateful if you would give these to them." He told them.

"Sir?" They tried to get his attention.

"I failed my students. I was so focused on making sure Godric survived and that the world was safe from Tom that I failed my duty as a headmaster, as a teacher, and as an adult." He continued.

This time George tried to get his attention. "We'll do it sir."

"I failed to see that Harry wasn't treated right and how different James had been acting."

"SIR?" Fred screamed.

That snapped him out of it. "Y-yes?"

"We will do it." George told him.

"Thank you." He looked relieved.

"Of course Headmaster." Fred said.

"You boys can return to class now." He told them.

"We will."

They left and Albus put his head in his hands. He sighed into them as he thought about it. He failed that poor boy, he failed James, and he failed Godric. Maybe it was time to retire.

(Potter family)

"Daddy?"

"Yes Harry?"

"Fred and George sent me three letters from the Headmaster. One's for you, one's for Godric, and the last one is for me." He told him.

"Did you read yours?" He asked.

"Not yet." He said.

"Okay. Godric!" He yelled for his oldest.

Godric ran into the living room. "Yes dad?"

"The Headmaster had Fred and George send a letter to each of us." James told him.

"Oh. What about?" He asked.

"We haven't read them yet." He said.

"Oh."

"Here." Harry gave them their letters.

"Thanks."

"Thank you."

"You're both welcome."

They opened their letters and began reading them. Each contained an apology from the wizard.

"It's an apology letter." Harry said.

"Mine too." Godric said.

"So is mine." Their father said.

"Why?" The youngest asked.

"Albus feels guilty. He believes it's his fault Voldemort got so bad. He was so focused on getting rid of him and trying to save the future of our world that he forgot to save you." James explained to his son.

"But it wasn't his fault." He said.

"That's not why he's guilty." He informed him.

"What?" He asked in confusion.

"He feels guilty for failing to notice." Godric explained to Harry.

"Oh."

"Yeah." He hugged his little brother.

Harry yawned once more. "Off to bed." James told his sons.

"Okay daddy."

"Sure." The two went to bed while James stood and went to his study.

(With Seth and Sam)

"You went to the Cullens?" Sam asked.

"Yes." Seth looked at his alpha in worry.

"I'm trying not to be angry. Can you tell me why?" He asked.

"Yes I can. Do you remember Harry?" He asked.

"I do." He felt protective of the cub.

"Edward Cullen and Jasper Hale are his mates." He told him.

"I see." He didn't like that at all.

"So I threatened them." The younger male said.

"Good."

Seth looked at his Alpha in shock. "R-really?"

"Yes."

"I thought you would be angry." He admitted.

Sam grumbled. "Only because of the fact that I now have to get along with those leeches."

"Oh."

"Tell me everything." He ordered.

"Okay." He explained how he met Harry to the two vampires.

"Tell the cub that as long as he showers before coming here it's fine." He said.

"I will." Seth grinned.

"Good."

"Thanks Sam."

"You're welcome."

"I really did think you would be angry about this." He said.

"Me too." He admitted.

"Huh?" He looked at his alpha in confusion.

"Our natural instinct is to hate vampires." Sam told him. "The thought of the cub with those leeches should make me angry but it doesn't. It makes me uncomfortable but I can live with it. I know that those leeches will keep him safe."

"I thought I was the only one who thought that." Seth said in surprise.

"Nope."

"Well that's good." He said.

Sam chuckled. "Indeed."

"Thanks Sam."

"You're welcome."

"I'll get going."

"Alright. Bye."

"Bye." Both went their separate ways. Seth went home to bed and Sam to do a border check.
