Sasuke, Miyako, Itachi, Kisame, and Team Hebi followed Tobi and Hisoka into a large cabin in the middle of nowhere a few kilometres outside of Amegakure. It was wet, raining outside, and the large group was happy to be inside the warm and dry cabin. Tobi and Hisoka led Team Hebi into two rooms.
"For you three. Kisame, go do whatever you want. Sasuke, Itachi, and Miyako, come with us," Tobi ordered, dropping his good boy persona.
Kisame nodded and left for the kitchen as Karin, Suigetsu, and Jūgo made their way into their rooms. Before Karin went into her room, Miyako handed her Ainu to her, telling her to look after her whilst she dealt with whatever the two missing-nin wanted.
Miyako and the Uchiha brothers followed Hisoka and Tobi through the cabin and down the stairs into an area filled with cells. The doors of the cells were made of metal and there was a peephole allowing for them to look in from the outside. Tobi waved to Miyako to look through one of the peepholes and she frowned, opening the door to the hole and looking in.
She gasped as she looked into the room. The room was mostly white with brown, wooden flooring. Inside the room, bassinets were set up. There two, middle-aged, brown haired women in the room, both with very pale skin as if they hadn't seen the light of day in a long time. What shocked Miyako the most, however, was the five babies, not much older than Ainu, playing with toys in the room.
"What the hell is this?" Miyako snapped, turning around to face a smirking Hisoka and a casual Tobi.
"Miyako? What is it?" Sasuke questioned, and she shook her head, gesturing to the room.
He too looked in, eyes widening as he stepped back. Itachi stepped forward, confused on the reaction of his girlfriend and his brother. He looked in the room, grunting in annoyance at what he saw.
"So, the experiment worked. You have five healthy babies with the Uchiha gene," Itachi stated simply, making Miyako's blue eyes widened in shock.
"What? I didn't think it'd actually work!"
"We started with close to one hundred foetuses. By the time they were implanted into surrogates it was down to eight-even. By the third trimester, thirty-two made it. By the time the births came, only fifteen were left. And now, almost a year later, these five are the only ones to survive," Tobi explained, a frown in his voice.
Sasuke glared at the masked man. "Are you saying that you and Hisoka impregnated women just to have an Uchiha army?" Sasuke questioned, having learnt Ookami's true identity on their travels to the cabin when Hisoka took his mask off.
Hisoka laughed. "No. We used your sperm, collected by Orochimaru and the eggs of Haruno Sakura – collected by the Fifth Hokage – implanted into surrogate mothers to start with the reconstruction of the Uchiha Clan."
Sasuke's face went pale as he ran back to the door, looking at what was technically his offspring. His own children that had hadn't even known existed. Children that were a mix of him and his old teammate that had been a fangirl that was only just getting better before he left the village. He shuddered at the thought.
"Why did you choose Sakura?" Sasuke questioned wearily.
"Punishment for Mi-chan," Hisoka replied smugly, making Sasuke frown as he didn't understand his reasoning. "Sakura is the closest one to your age that Mi-chan care for. She has amazing chakra control, and we figured her offspring would most likely gain this control as well. So we decided to mix your sex cells together in the hopes of having super strong Uchiha babies."
"This is sick," Miyako growled out in disgust. "I knew you had something sick in mind when you kidnapped me almost a year ago, but this. This is sick and wrong. You should be disgusted with yourselves."
Tobi shrugged. "Oh well. Too late now. We can't change it. So, Sasuke, do you want to meet your children?"
Sasuke grunted, not sure how to respond. Technically they were his children, but he had no part in making them. In face, he wasn't even sure how Orochimaru got a hold of his sperm to give to Tobi and Hisoka in the first place. Was he still their father in this scenario? Probably not. Just the sperm doner. But he couldn't help but feel responsible for them.
He knew it was probably the Uchiha instincts to want to protect and care for an Uchiha child. But he didn't care. He had instincts and that was what he ran on most of the time. So, in the end, he agreed and Tobi unlocked the door, letting Sasuke, Itachi, and Miyako in to meet the children.
Tobi gestured to the little ones, all of whom were looking at the group in curiosity, rarely ever getting the chance to meet new people.
"There are four boys and one girl. The girl is called Michi, this one is Namiyo, Raidon, Sadao, and last but not least, the youngest male, Shoma. Children, this is your father Sasuke, your Uncle Itachi, and Aunt Miyako."
The children looked from one adult to the other before turning back to their group. The two women who were in charge of watching them stood with their hands folded in front of them, heads down. Not daring to meet the gaze of any of the people in the room.
Hisoka nodded to the woman. "They're the only women to survive the birth of these five. You have Sorana, the surrogate mother Shoma, and Eri, the surrogate mother to Raidon."
Sasuke nodded and walked up to the women. The women looked up at his approached as he bowed his head. "I know this isn't what you wanted in your future, but thank you for looking after my children."
The women – surprised at his words – nodded in response as he turned to face Hisoka and Tobi.
"I don't agree to what you have done, but its been done so now I have no choice but to accept it. I'm warning you, you use my children for something, use them against me or my brother and Miyako, I'll kill you myself," Sasuke growled out, making Hisoka smirk and Tobi chuckle darkly.
"Ah, the Uchiha protectiveness. I didn't know if it would activate for this, but it appears it has," Tobi stated before kicking off the wall he was leaning against and walking out of the room. "Oh, you may stay here for as long as you want. We will discuss what I have planned later." With that said, Tobi left, Hisoka shooting Miyako a smirk before following his teacher.
Once the two were gone, Miyako face Sasuke. "Sasuke?" she questioned, Sasuke looking around at his confusion, a lost look in his onyx eyes, "What are we going to do now?"
Sasuke ignored her question, turning to face Itachi, a calculating look in his eyes. "Itachi, I think it's time we discuss everything."
Itachi paused before nodding in agreement, the trio leaving the room and shutting the door behind them as they made their way back up to the main part of the cabin. They made their way to a living room and sat down on the couches. Miyako leant against Itachi on the loveseat as Sasuke sat on the armchair across from them.
"Now then, start explaining," Sasuke ordered Itachi, and Miyako shot him a glare as Itachi sighed, closing his eyes as he gathered his thoughts.
"To understand the massacre, we'd have to go back to the Nine-Tailed Foxes attack on Konohagakure," Itachi stated and Miyako took his hand, knowing that this was going to be hard on him. "The elders of Konohagakure suspected that the Uchiha were involved in the attack, this led the clan to being placed under close surveillance. To make it easier, we were moved to live in one section of the village. We were isolated from the rest of the village and this caused animosity between both the villagers and the Uchiha Clan. The Uchiha Clan came to resent the way the leadership was running – thanks in part to it being designed by the Senju – and our father decided to begin to plan coup d'état."
Sasuke frowned in confusion. "What does the Senju Clan have to do with anything?"
"You were too young to learn this at the time," Itachi stated, "but the Uchiha and Senju Clans used to war all the time during the Warring States Period. They ended up joining together to form Konohagakure, but, even then, the Uchiha were mistrusted by the majority of the village, and the Senju were praised. But that's a history lesson for another time."
Sasuke nodded, gesturing for Itachi to keep going. Itachi sighed and looked away, not wanting tod delve deeper into the topic. Miyako squeezed his hand and continued with what Itachi had told her.
"To prepare for the coup, Fugaku-san had Uchiha clan members inserted within Konohagakure's government to act as spies. Itachi-kun was placed in the ANBU. This gave him direct access to the Hokage and brought much pride to Fugaku-san. The problem with this, however, was that Itachi-kun didn't agree to what his father was planning."
"I believed it would bring about another Shinobi World War," Itachi stated, cutting Miyako off and squeezing her hand back. "I decided to go double-agent. I gave information to Konohagakure about our clan's plans. Lord Hokage had hoped that with this information we could come to an agreement with the rest of the village, but Shimura Danzo had other plans."
"You see, the Elders, especially Shimura Danzo, often acted without the Hokage's command, and it was only made easier as Lord Third got older. They did the same thing when they ordered the massacre of my own clan," Miyako explained, and Sasuke nodded, his frown deepening as he heard more and more of the story.
"Do you remember Uchiha Shisui?" Itachi questioned his brother who nodded. "Well, when the clan got suspicious of me, they sent him to keep an eye on me. that ended up backfiring, however, as Shisui shared the same beliefs as me. So, when peace talks between our clan and Konohagakure started to break down, Shisui though to use his Kotoamatsukami to change their minds."
"His what?" Sasuke cut off in confusion.
"Like me, Shisui had the Mangekyo Sharingan. Only his ability was a strong Genjutsu that controlled the mind of the target. The downsides of the jutsu was that it could only be used once every ten years. Danzo knew this and felt using it to stop a war from starting was a waste and attacked Shisui, taking his right eye," Itachi felt tears well up in his eyes but wouldn't let them fall. "He didn't want Danzo to get his left eye, so Shisui entrusted it to me before he committed suicide."
"I remember this. The clan thought you had something to do with it," Sasuke muttered, and Itachi nodded as a tear slipped down his face, his eyes closed as that day flashed through his mind's eye.
Knowing he wouldn't be able to speak, Miyako took over. "You're right. After finding his body, the clan didn't trust Itachi – believing he had murdered Shisui and staged the suicide. Because of Shisui's death, Itachi believed that the events that were about to pass – the war that was about to strike – could no longer be stopped. Danzo convinced Itachi that is the Uchiha were allowed to carry out their coup, the clan would be exterminated, leaving no survivors."
"So he gave you the option to kill them yourself?" Sasuke questioned his brother, who nodded in response.
"If I assassinate all the Uchiha before the coup took place, I will be allowed to spare your life," Itachi explained, making Sasuke wince in shock at the words laid out so bluntly. "I caught Tobi – Madara – sneaking around the village and asked for his help in destroying the clan."
"Ah, reminiscing on old times, Itachi-kun?" Tobi questioned as he arrived in the room.
Sasuke shot the masked man a glare. "Why did you help with the massacre? You're an Uchiha, aren't you?"
Tobi shrugged. "I wanted revenge on both the village and the Uchiha. The village for betraying the Uchiha, and the Uchiha for betraying me. One the night of the massacre, while Itachi slaughtered the civilians in the clan, I attacked the Konoha Military Force headquarters, taking out the military portion of the clan. In that time, I came across Hisoka. He didn't understand what was going on, but he tried to fight against me. I was impressed and decided to take him on as my student."
Sasuke looked at Tobi. "I remember Hisoka tensing up as we made our way home that night, before telling me to go straight home. He had run toward the Konoha Military Force headquarters. He must've senses something was off."
Itachi nodded, taking a deep, stabilising breath. "Our parents, they didn't fight back. They didn't want to fight against me and respected my decision to side with the village over the clan. The only they did was ask me to look after you. I killed them just before you returned home from the Academy."
Sasuke had tears in his eyes. "You saved them for last. But why? Why didn't you kill me? I know Danzo said you could let me live, but why me? Why not the other children as well?"
"I can't forgive myself for killing our family, and I decided I needed to be punished for my crimes. I attacked you to make you hate me, telling you that I did it for the pursuit of power when in reality, I wanted you to kill me so I can atone for my sins," Itachi explained, and Miyako pursued her lips in annoyance.
"I still think you're an idiot for that," Miyako stated, and Itachi let out a humourless chuckle.
"So, Sasuke-kun, now that you know the truth, what will you do?" Tobi questioned, and Sasuke stood up.
"I won't destroy Konohagakure. But I will take down the council. Killing every last one of those pitiful bastards. Starting with Danzo," Sasuke growled out as he left the room, heading to his own room as Itachi watched with worry in his eyes and Miyako let out a relieved sigh, turning to face Tobi whose fist were clenched in anger.
Miyako smirked, noting this anger. "So I was right. You were planning to turn Sasuke against all of Konohagakure, Ma-da-ra."
Itachi pulled her closer to him. "Don't rile him up."
Tobi shot a glare at Miyako, which she could feel the intensity of it. "Careful, girl, you wouldn't want to be on my bad side even more than you already are," he warned, making Miyako smirk.
"Whatever you say, Madara-sama," she spat the honorific out, and Tobi shot forward, aiming for the girl.
Itachi jumped in front of Miyako, going to push Tobi away but was stopped as Tobi phased right through him. Tobi grabbed Miyako by the throat, grabbing a kunai and holding it to her stomach.
"You've ruined my plans, you little bitch. But know this, you go against me again, and it won't just be your life on the line," Tobi spat in her ear before dropping her and leaving the room.
Itachi ran to Miyako, cradling her in his arms as she gasped out, shocked at how quickly she had been overpowered by the masked man. "I told you not to rile him up," Itachi snapped.
"S-sorry. I didn't think," Miyako stated, and pushed herself up, Itachi following her as she made her way towards the hallway leading to the bedrooms. "Come on. I need to make sure Ainu is alright."
(As you can see, Sasuke's a father! Technically anyways! And Sakura's a mother. Also technically.
Anyway, what do you think of Sasuke's reaction to the full truth? Or what about Miyako taunting Tobi/Madara/Obito? Do you think she got what she deserved for being a smug idiot to one of the strongest shinobi currently alive? What do you think will happen next?
Anyway, how this plays out will be revealed in future chapters that will take a while to come out because this was the last of my pre-written chapters. Depending on my mood, I might pre-write a few chapters, edit them, and then upload one every month or so (this will take time but will be better quality chapters over all). Or I could do one chapter a month or so but I won't do as much editing so the quality won't be as good.
Tell me what you think. ^_^)
