Hello, hopefully you all are still interested in this story! Here's Chapter 4. There's a time jump about a year and a half, but nothing too crazy; I'll do flashbacks so you all can catch up.

Disclaimer: Remember, I don't own these characters. If I did, Brittany would've had more screen time.

Quinn sat forward upon the couch. She and Brittany had spent that last couple hours video chatting as if they haven't talked in years. "Well you know, Santana is just Santana. School's been a pain in her ass, but she's been killing it."

"Yeah I get what you mean, everytime we talk, she just seems so stressed." Brittany sighed.

"It's our senior year of college, if you're not tired or stressed, I don't know how." She chuckled.

Brittany smiled. "And come to think, you thought you weren't going to pass your exams last year."

Quinn shrugged. "I can be a little dramatic at times."

"Yeah, you've been hanging around Rachel and Kurt too much." Brittany smirked.

"Okay okay, that's a stretch. I'm not the one that cried when I saw a squirrel fall out of a tree."

"Nope, that doesn't count. He fell pretty hard."

"It was a branch, two feet off the ground…" Quinn tilted her head.

Brittany waved her hand. "Whatever." The two shared a laugh. "So how's the fiance? Other than the obvious pressure's of school? She's trying to finish school a little early right?"

The short-haired blonde perked up immediately. "Oh she's been wonderful. She's always wonderful. I think that she's more than happy that she's getting the chance to do her exams a little early. And even though she'll technically be finished with her degree early on, the school is going to let her graduate with the rest of her class."

"That's great! I'll talk to her later after I come back. Lately, training has slowed some and the days have been shorter, so I have more time to talk to you guys."

"You're also getting closer and closer to that time…" Quinn gave the girl a pointed look through the screen.

Brittany gave a small smile. "Yeah I know right? My time is almost up here. Don't get me wrong, I'd love nothing more than to come home and be able to be there permanently with my fiance and friends, but...it's something about being in the military, that'll never get old."

"And what is that?"

"How close some of us have gotten. The friends who've become damn near family, the people who you've met, but had to leave and be stationed so far away. Just like how you, and Santana got so close to Mercedes and I."

Quinn nodded her head. "I believe it. What's his name, Spencer? You said he was another Marine you met out there?"

"Yeah, I met him during my first year in. We've been on a couple deployments together. We met when I had first arrived in California. I can't wait for you all to meet him! He says he has a cousin out in New York that he's close to. I told him whenever we're in the city, we absolutely have to get together. And of course, you all will have a chance to meet him."

Quinn clapped her hands together. "The more the merrier. And you know wat else I'm excited about though?"

Brittany's eyebrows perked. "What?"

"The fact that you'll actually be here and present for the wedding." She beamed. "I swear I cannot keep up with that woman with all this planning, but thank everything above Judy is stepping in. I don't think I'd know what half of these flowers were if she wasn't here."

The front door shut lightly behind Mercedes as she made her way toward her fiance. Laying a few plastic bags on the floor by the couch, she dropped suddenly on the couch beside the blonde. "Hey babe, I missed you." She pulled Quinn into a not so chaste kiss, hands sliding behind her neck.

Brittany blinked and shook her head. "Hey Mercedes."

The girl jumped back and looked around until her eyes landed on the laptop screen. Quinn opened her eyes. "Huh…" Mercedes sat up and waved at the screen.

"Hey Britt! How's it going girl?"

"Oh you know, it's going. Quinn was just telling me about how excited she is about me coming home in time for the wedding."

"Yes! I am too! You already know how much we all can't wait. Babe, did you call Janet back today about the cake? I told her we'd hit her up about it today, because we were umm...busy." She turned to Quinn.

Quinn sat and stared blankly at the short girl. "Call who?"

Brittany snorted. "That's the wedding planner Q. How did I remember that and I don't even talk to the lady?"

Mercedes shook her head. "I'm gonna need you to pay more attention."

Quinn shrugged. "You can't expect me to remember what you tell me right before you go dow-"

"Okayy… How about that cake huh?" Brittany grimaced. "I don't need to hear where that sentence was going."

Quinn giggled and pulled the ebony girl close. "Yeah yeah." She placed a small kiss onto her cranium. "I'll call her in a little bit. Is there anything else you want me to ask her about?"

"No babe, that's it."

"Got it."

Brittany smiled at the two. It's time when she witnesses them being disgustingly cute, she misses Santana even more. 'Only a few months left' she thought. Nevertheless, she's very happy for the three of them. They've been through the wire in a way, got through some issues, but the trio in New York are close to graduating, and Brittany is close to finishing her contract and is also enrolled in online schooling. Looking at her watch, she sighed. "Hey girls, I'm going to call it a night. I have to get up earlier than usual in the morning."

Mercedes looked to the camera and smiled sadly. "Oh man, I wish I would have came back a little earlier so we could talk more."

"Don't worry about it. We've been having more time to ourselves lately over here, so I'll catch you up."

"You better. I need a break from this crazy blonde over here. The other one is pretty chill and refreshing." She teased.

Quinn's mouth went agape as she feigned hurt. "Yeah right?" Mercedes playfully smiled, keeping her head to the screen.

Brittany giggled. "Exactly. Alright, I love you all. Talk to you soon."

Quinn and Mercedes waved to the blonde before the screen went dark. The blonde pulled the two two rest on the couch. Mercedes pressed a kiss onto the girl's lips. "So, what do you have there in those bags?" Quinn mumbled against her lips.

"I decided to try a new recipe of my own, so I went to the store and bought some things that i'm gonna need."

"Well let's see what you got? I'm sure Santana and I won't be disappointed with what you make."

Before Quinn could sit up, Mercedes gently pushed her to lay back onto the sofa. "Whoa, hungry are we?"

The girl shrugged. "A little." She grinned greedily.

"I know something else you can eat." She smirked.

Quinn lifted a perfectly arched eyebrow. "Oh really?"

Swinging a leg over the blonde's hips, she began to unbutton the girl's blouse. "Mhm."

So another chapter to continue the journey. I'll be working on the next chapter, and like I said earlier, I'll give flashbacks to what we missed over the time jump. Read and Review, tell me if there's any ideas you have.
